Well following the advice I read here, I spent weeks of collecting and turning in Giant Warrior Helms to get my faction up with the Dain. I am convinced that whoever originally posted this info was lying.. So for all you rangers out there who were thikning about getting your custom helm graphic, don't waste your time. If anybody can post some info on this to prove me wrong, be my guest.

I think all of you will be happy to hear this news, I found where we can get the graphic for the Runed Scout's Helm. woot woot woot! You go to Ice well keep and at the very top of well there is a throne, go behind there it is where Dain spawns. You Hail Dain and he will talk about the Runed Scout's helm, then you hand him it or follow his instructions. Then you have your custome Runed Scouts Helm :)

Yeah, that's the graphic, BUT, you don't hail Dain. You have to go to the temple in Thurgadin and there's a Loremaster that tells you how to address a 'royal audience'. Also, if your 'Dain Frostreaver IV' faction is not high enough, he will not speak to you about the helm. Which probably means you can't get it till you have a higher faction. Trust me, I'm trying to up my faction now... UGH!!! Oh, and I'm told that Dain has a 1 week spawn time so if some powerful giant aligned guild comes to kill him, you are SoL for your custom helm for awhile.

Talk to Lorekeeper Gundlt in the temple library in Thurgadin. Say "What royal audience" and he will tell you how to hail the Dain. "Hail" doesn't work, it seems. I haven't done this yet, but will get in there one of these days and see what the Dain has to say about my helm.

if the stuff drops off of 55+ monsters why does it say lvl 45+ on the thing?

42 ranger tonight, went on kael raid with giuldies, yes im a little low for the strength og the mobs but a lot of them were blue an i was able to make an effective contribution. it is possible to get this stuff at 45, but i think a group of 45s who went after this stuff would get seriously wiped out, as for the gems, they are not no dropped, so they can be bought by other players

I know the plate wearers can turn theirs over to the Armorer in icewell to get a graphics change. Is there a guy that us chain wearers can turn ours into to change the graphics if so who is the NPC and where is the NPC located. I have the helm right now and it looks like the old banded helm i wore when i was a newbie.

The Corroded armor drops in Kael offa the 55+ giants and is a rare drop.
GL gettin some as you would need a guild raid there to even come close to havin the number of peeps huntin giants in the quantity necessary to get this armor relatively quickly.(sorry bout the big words and makin that paragraph one sentence) :P

these armor quest all require teh dropped corroded. I was wondering where and what drops the corroded armor pieces. I have a bank full of misc. Velious quest pieces and get tired of hanging onto half the stuff needed for quests.
