Emperor Ganak may be found in the southwest corner of the zone, inside a tomb at -3330, +2650, -368.

You say, 'Hail, Emperor Ganak'

Emperor Ganak says 'Greetings. It has been long since I was aware on this plane. Who are you and what do you want of me, Ganak, wyrm scourge and slayer of Jaled-Dar?'

You say, 'I wish to enter Old Sebilis.'

Emperor Ganak says, 'An adventurer that wishes to enter the inner city of Sebilis you say?? There are only two ways in, either the [glowing orb] in the heart of the ruins in the outer city, or via one of the tortured souls that wanders the jungles nearby.'

You say, 'How do I use the glowing orb?'

Emperor Ganak says, 'The glowing orb is activated by a special key, an idol crafted in the likeness of the dread Trakanon, Reaver of Sebilis. I have this idol and will give it to you, but only if you give me two [medallions] representing the Iksar tribes of old.'

You say, 'What of the medallions?'

Emperor Ganak says 'There were five different tribes of my people. The Kunzar, Kylong, Nathsar, Obulus, and Jarsath. Each of the tribes had a medallion that represented it. If you can return to me the medallions of the Kunzar and Nathsar, I will give you the idol of Trakanon.'

The Medallion of the Kunzar drops from a "froglok forager" in Trakanon's Teeth. The Medallion of the Nathsar drops from a "froglok hunter," also in Trakanon's Teeth. Hand in both to Emperor Ganak:

Emperor Ganak says 'You have returned to me two medallions of my people. In return, I give you this key to enter the ruins of Sebilis. Be wary though, for Trakanon, scourge of the Sebilisan empire, resides within.'

You gain experience!!

You receive the Trakanon Idol, the key to Old Sebilis. The key goes on your /keyring.

I was wondering if you still need to complete this key on the TPL Mangler Server?

The key access requirement isn't lifted for this zone until Plane of Power.

Hunters seemed to be more common near EJ zone in and Foragers more so near Swamp of no hope ZL per ranger tracking. 4 mobs, 4 kills, two keys.

The quest information doesn't post how one knows to collect the Medallions for the key, in the first place. So unless you already know that he's the 'keymaster', won't know unless you ask him about [Sebilis]

Do the 2 mobs that drop these items even spawn anymore? I decided to get keys that i really didn't need but simply wanted to show on my key ring. I have a druid so i saw they were not up on track. I killed a bunch of the frogs in the area where they use to spawn but still no luck seeing them. 30 minutes later i left. I figured why bother camping them.

Was bored and on my way to get my alt a fungi. Hunter was up. Dropped medallion. Forager(s) were up, dropped the other mediallion. Then did turn in. So yes, they are still up, but don't try without tracking!

Yes, they still spawn. Druid track may not be sufficient to see them depending on where you were, they are also part of a cycle of named mobs.

Unlimited access?! You have to be level 46 to enter this zone. Therefore access is limited. All the other keyed zones that have had their key reqiurements lifted also have a minimum level required for access.

I did this quest today and finished it just for something to do, and doing individual quests to clear out the old JUNK in my bank.
I finished it highly quickly, and turned in both parts to Emperor Ganak. The text was correct. Plus I received the "you gain experience" signalling the end of the quets...but /key showed me no key for Sebilis. Any clues on if this key was ultimately dropped due to the level requirement changes?

I was levelling up an alt in Trakanon's Teeth and had no less than 4 hunters on me at any one time. I found one, started to kill it, then 3 more came out of the woodwork. Moved to western part of the jungle, found a forager and started to kill it. Had 3 more on me before the first one was dead.

I remember having to camp these things forever. But then, folks aren't beating down to doors to Sebilis to get in anymore, are they?

Do you know that Hunters and Foragers are both linked to named mobs that spawn in their place sometimes? It is recommended to bring a tracker with you to Trakanon's Teeth when going for this key quest. If no hunters or foragers are up then track down the named and kill them until they start showing up.

If there are no Hunters or Foragers on track, then killing frogloks in the zone will do nothing for you. Not every mob is a placeholder for these, only the named.

Also, sometimes these mobs will wander very far south and east. When they get down there they typically don't come back to the area of the zone that they spawn in. So, if no Hunters or Foragers are on track between EJ and SoNH, and no named that are part of the cycle, move east and south and check track again.

That was a fairly useless post. Basically, all you said was mobs roam, some mobs are PHes for other mobs, and we should just run around until we find some mobs - wow, thanks! Not sure how posts like that qualify you as being a "sage." How about some specifics next time, instead of just trying to inflate your post count - like maybe specifics on these "named" you mentioned? Most of the named, what few there are in this zone, have nothing to do with hunters or foragers.

(3 years later) You clearly have no idea how being promoted works... its based off upvotes from other users, not post count, you jackass.

The information in the post was valid and helped him in the right direction, not everyone is spoon fed information, perhaps do some research yourself.

the 2 frog's can spawn from killing any other frog, and more than 1 can be up at once (ran through with my bard playing an aoe snare ened up with 3 foagers in out of abotu 30 mobs) (if your not a tracking class just run around and push K *my key for target nearist npc) and eventullly youll find the 2 your looking for, even di this on my 71 monk and was done (includeing hand in) in abbout 5 min
Did this in like 5 minutes on my 70 necro

If you look at the map imagine a Square area covering the swamp of no hope, Emerald Jungle zone lines, and a bit of the water stream. Easy as pie there can be multiples of these mobs up at a time they are just normal mobs. I killed two other junk mobs that went aggressive but at my level I just watched the pet eat them for breakfast. The whole time spent searching was like 5 minutes and from start to finish no more than 8 or 9. I am sure if you have bad luck it could take you maybe 15 minutes... but that's not that bad compared to many time sinks.....

found a forager and hunter further south than normal, closer to emperor ganak. took 10 minutes to track and kill both. Guess they move the spawn points or added a few more cause lots started spawning after I killed those 2.

Dec 1 & 2nd we spent with bard tracking at first then later ranger lvl 60 tracking about 10 hours and never saw a forager. Anyone else having this difficulty? Found 2 hunters, ranger knew a spawn spot.

Just did the idol for my 51 monk, I get the Do not meet requirements message. Last I knew of if you have the idol there is no requirements "Damn you SOE'. Make a hotzone that we can actually get into.

My guess is that Sony didn't want the Hot Zones available during the 50% Xp bonus weekend. The Dains' monster mission was also unavailable during this time.

I've pulled for keys to alts and friends many times in this zone, and always smiled at the pathing of mobs leading to these two guys. All the mobs move horizontally in almost straight lines. As some mobs see invis, and others don't, it's a matter of timing to pass mobs to reach the next 'line'. Every time I do this quest, passing lines of frogs, I wonder if this is EQ's homage to Frogger, and if in fact this is the Frogger's Revenge.
Got the KEY
# Oct 15 2005 at 7:51 PM Rating: Decent
Got the key. When you go south in TT, stay south (every now and then you will need to veer off southern course due to end of zone but get right back south ASAP). You will hit a Spectral camp. Look for the stairs to the right of the camp. Do not go up ramp. The Ganak will be there on his throne. You have to go down the hall and he will be in the big room and on the left hand side.

Location for Emperor Ganak is -3331.59, 2678.11, -370.12. He is in the grave yard. There is undead everywhere. Look for some stairs then bolt in there u r safe he is at the bottom. GOOD LUCK

camped spot for hours no result then one day i logged in forager was heading to ruins and i bumped into him killed him and waited a bit then saw sumething to the north ahh hunter bang he dead all in like 5min.

possibility that they spawn on the hill or east off it ( hill that is north north/east of ruins

notes:
forager and hunter did not give faction hits vs frogloks of kunark.. oddly enough

Going to Emperor:
when u reach the graveyard to avoid killing all the mobs invis vs undead or if u cant hug the wall the entrance to the emperor is the one to the west.

emperor is not kos so safe to drop once inside. He in a giant pretty much empty room.

hand in:
Hail Emperor Ganak

Emperor Ganak says 'Greetings. It has been long since I was aware on this plane. Who are you and what do you want from me, Ganak, wyrm scourge and slayer of Jaled dar?'

hand in 2 amulets

Emperor Ganak says 'You have returned to me two medallions of my people. In return, I give you this key to enter the ruins of Sebilis. Be wary though, for Trakanon, Scourge of the Sebilisian empire, resides within.
You gain experience

Did this quest for my wiz, and enc both the hunter, and forage where light blue to a 61. If you turn right after entering tranknon keep the wall to your right, and head down a bit you'll come to a ruin with spectral keepers. Around this area you will find the foragers/hunters. They also spawn near the swamp of no hope side. I always just follow the small river stream out a bit and you'll find them in that general area. Best to get a tracker, but i did it without a tracker did'nt take very long. Only thing you need to worry about are the adds i used invis while searching for the mobs but some mobs see invis so beware.
