hardest bit was gettign a high elf male slave to spawn in CB, set free about 25 dorfs before he did.

I was able to find Settine with no problems but he simply gives back the cloth note and tells me he has no need for this item. What do I need to do?
Either you gave the taskmaster earring to a different slave in Crushbone and got the wrong note or maybe your faction with the Felwithe guards isn't high enough.
If you were me and I were you, would we still be friends?

Ok I have tried all the darn questing to raise my faction to no avail so I guess we are going to have to do it the old fashion way.
1) Head to Nerriak and do some killing.
a) Lisvan X'Luttl (40) Nerriak 3rd
b) Loveal S'Nez (32) Nerriak 3rd
c) Noxhil V'Sek (34) Nerriak 3rd
d) Olavn N'Mar (40) Nerriak Commons
e) X'ta Tempi (40) Nerriak For. Quart
f) X'ta Timpi (40) Nerriak For. Quart
g) X'ta Tompi (40) Nerriak For. Quart
h) Kizdean Gix (18) in WC
i) Lariak Z'Vole (18) in Less Fay

After killing these fools for a while to raise faction a little, then you can run to Niola Impholder and hand in some batwings to raise your faction the rest of the way....GOOD LUCK this takes forever

You tell it bro, this takes forever... Especially because i have to cover my "Dead" faction. I am not sure why but i like to improve my faction with all in Felwithe. Guard faction was easy, but any other ideas to raise the Merchant faction than to do the slave key quest?

Im a druid trying to do my epic but my faction with the Keeper of the Art is conned as Apprehensive. they wont deal with me so i tried to do the batwing quest to get that faction to no avail. Because that NPC was also not in the mood to co-operate. the black wolf pet quest = same result. Anyhow to the point i did this quest in th hope of getting some faction but guess what there sint any faction for doing this quest ( signed One Screwed Drood

don't release Retlon unless ur lvl 16 on up and are rdy to fight....he is a pain in the *** gnome who punches for 30, casts shock of blades, and has a pain of a pet, don't deal with him at all unless u plan on killing him

Do you have to be at least lvl 14 for the quest to work? I was with a group and I looted the brass earring off of the taskmasker. Do i have to wait 2 more lvls until I can get the ring?

As you enter North Felewithe and cross the bridge, Guard Settine is on your right. If you think about it, it makes more sense for a High Elf Caster to be sending this note to one of his own kind. After all, a Dwarf guard can't be expected to worry about High Elves!

lol - once I thought about it, it made perfect sense. I looked everywhere for Settine in Kaladim. lol Found him by accident during a duel in Felwithe one eve. Imagine my surprise! ;)

chances are it's probably a silver amber ring with +2 str assuming it's magical at all. Giving the earring to one of the other slaves leads to similar priced stuff such as targ shield, gossimer robe, leather armour, bronze weapon. see the other taskmaster quests
