Faith in Relife
If you speak to any of the other quest givers you will get the message: Perhaps you should speak with Mayor Salvador West about Anashti Sul.
You say, 'Hello Mayor West, I have an update after that task you sent us on.'
Mayor Salvador West says, 'You have returned! Wonderful. I hope the Bokon were not too harsh with you. They can be very zealous, as they should be. Do not forget that every night we gather to speak of and with the [relifed] and to honor [Anashti Sul]. We call it the [dead man's party]. You should come and listen, speak if you wish. Though I would suggest that you learn about our city by visiting our [shrines].'
You say, 'What shrines?'
Mayor Salvador West says, 'I am so glad you asked! We have dedicated much of our fair city to our religion and the Goddess. You should visit those places and learn what you can of us. If you pick up a little faith while you're at it, all the better for you.'
You have been assigned the task: Faith in Relife
Task: The Mayor has asked you to learn about his city and his religion.
Sul Vius has several religious treasures located under the city. Most are kept in special chambers, but one large statue is kept in the lowest part of the city.
Objective Instructions:
Visit the Three
There are three transitions of being. The first occurs during recreation, when She releases a soul to return to the world of flesh. The second occurs when the flesh fails and the Goddess animates the inner body. The final occurs when we are welcomed to the bosom of Anashti Sul. The fallacy of mortals is to see these changes as decay. Anashti Sul teaches us to use the proper word, transition.
Visit the Marker of Doubt
Transition takes faith, a faith that many do not know. It is understandably difficult to give up what you have, even if doing so brings the opportunity for so much more. It is the duty of every follower of the Goddess to help those nearing a transition to help strengthen their faith. Doubt weakens the body and the soul. Some that fail to transition have poisoned their inner bodies so greatly that they are unable to transition. The strength of our faith determines the strength of our eternity.
Visit the Marker of Loss
There is no sorrow greater than when a soul is lost during a transition. The Goddess weeps for those that fade from existence. These failures of faith weaken us all. Fight for yourself and for us. Have faith and nothing will be lost.
Visit the Scrolls of Faith
Here are the remaining original doctrines of Faith. The Heresies teach us about the risks of false faith. The Book of Bokon describes the duties and imperatives of the Bokon. The Transitionals teaches about the states of life. Eternal Transitions talks about our immortality. Many other precious documents are kept here, protected from time so that they can teach others through eternity.
Visit the Vision of Eternity
We are taught that there are no limits. All we must do is fight for ourselves and our faith. Decay is a trail that makes us strong, and fighting it with our faith can allow us infinite transitions. The scene depicted here is a faithful reconstruction of the scene described in Eternal Transitions as the first transition, the birth of our faith and the first act of Anashti Sul.
If you click the black smoke to the side of the case:
The black swirling mass looks incredibly dangerous. It would be unwise to touch it.
Visit the Statue of Eternity
In the bowl is the water of Eternity. It is held in the arms of one of the honored, who stands here forever still to perform its duty, willfully resisting the third transition in order to honor the Goddess and those with complete faith.
Water of Eternity appears on your cursor.
Faith in Relife has been updated.
Task: The Water of Eternity is used to bless the first-time dead. Take it to the new graves in the crypt and sprinkle it on the ground. The worthy should respond well to it.
Objective instructions:
Show your understanding by bringing the Water of Eternity to a citizen in need. (0/1)
Return the unhappy citizens to their graves (0/3).
Speak with the Mayor.
You say, 'Hail, Mayor Salvador West.'
Mayor Salvador West says, 'You, what?! How could you do such a thing? I, I have not the authority to deal with such unexplainable horror! You must see Bokon Karass. He can decide your punishment. If he is in a kind mood, and that surely is a rarity, you may only be condemned by a loss of transition. This is a thing you can restore with effort and great faith.'
Faith in Relife has been updated.
Objective instructions:
Explain yourself to the Bokon Karass.
You say, 'Hail Bokon Karass.'
Bokon Karass says, 'While I do not condone your actions, it will always be unacceptable to harm those most revered in our society, I will accept your excuse of misunderstanding our society. We are a more faithful and intelligent people, after all. I must dwell on your penance for a while. I shall call for you when I know what that will be.'
The Mayor was very pleased that you seemed to understand and accept so much of his people and their faith.
You have completed the task, Faith in Relife.
