From Tarl Punox in Plane of Health (HA is Partisan Task for Sul Vius: Demiplane of Life - zone in by zoning over to Sul Vius like other HAs)

*Note: task seems to vary in what it asks you to collect

You say, 'Hail, Tarl Punox'

Tarl Punox says 'Well, now isn't this a pretty place? So calm and annoyingly peaceful. Bothersome, isn't it? No matter, there is [business] to be found anywhere.'

Tarl Punox says 'Business here is pretty bad. These folks have no needs and no desires, it seems. But I know of others not so far away that can use the services of an adventurer like yourself. I know the people and can put the right ones in touch with each other. You might able to benefit from my information, if you are [interested].'

You say, 'interested'

Tarl Punox says 'There are a few places where [trinkets] and other [interesting things] can be found, and I know the people that would find such things valuable. I keep myself busy, and as long as there is profit to be made, I'll be there.'

You say, 'interesting things'

Tarl Punox says 'If you can find some things that some of my special customers have shown interest in, I would be suitably grateful. These should be found in Sul Vius, the Demiplane of Life.'

You have been assigned the task 'We Make Our Own Rewards'.

There are a few variations to this task so you will have different things you have to do.

Step 1

  • Collect Keys from the government offices 0/5
(drops from a favored functionary and a functionary in the western section) Zone: Sul Vius: Demiplane of Life

  • Loot Kitschy Art from that big housing building 0/4
(drops from a favored functionary, a functionary. and an honored guard in the north western section) Zone: Sul Vius: Demiplane of Life

  • Loot Boxes from the merchant's quarters 0/4

  • Loot Interesting Clothing from their underground theater 0/3
(drops from an honored resident, an honored citizen, and a bokon at the bottom of the central pit) Zone: Sul Vius: Demiplane of Life

  • Loot Paintings from the area they call The Heights 0/5

  • Loot Decorations from the big housing building 0/4

    Task Locks here.

    Step 2

  • Loot Writing Tools from their government offices 0/3

Loot a Bone Quill dropped by favored functionaries either around or in the big bureau building.

  • Loot Grave Insects from in or around their crypts 0/4

Head to Main Crypt (-720, 17). I took the tunnel from merchants quarter.
Kill citizens. I got no drops from those inside the crypt.

  • Loot Official Seals from the Mayor's offices 0/3
  • Loot Kitschy Art from that big housing building 0/4
  • Loot Religious Scrolls from the place they call the Testements 0/3

Need to take the tunnels deep down to the doors in the plaza in the merchant area. In that area, the merchant stalls are in a circle, not the main plaza, but in the SE section. Go down those doors and wander around until you get to the place where all the testaments are. This is where you had to use the mirror to get past the bokon earlier. Also this is where you had to be in life, then mirror over into decay, run through the placewhere the bokon was in life, then mirror back to life to get the thing. That's the testaments.

  • Loot Gemstones from that underground theater 0/3

These drop mobs mobs outside of the theater, at different levels in the pit, honored residents, and the like.

    Step 3

  • Deliver 5 A Bone Key to Tarl Punox 0/5
  • Deliver 4 A Kitschy Art to Tarl Punox 0/4
  • Deliver 3 A Piece of Theater Clothing to Tarl Punox 0/3
  • Deliver 5 Loot Boxes to Tarl Punox 0/5
  • Deliver 3 Interesting Clothing to Tarl Punox 0/3
  • Loot Religious Tomes from the place they call The Testements 0/5

    Tarl Punox /loc: -250, -215, -27

Need to take the tunnels deep down to the doors in the plaza in the merchant area. In that area, the merchant stalls are in a circle, not the main plaza, but in the SE section. Go down those doors and wander around until you get to the place where all the testaments are. This is where you had to use the mirror to get past the bokon earlier. Also this is where you had to be in life, then mirror over into decay, run through the placewhere the bokon was in life, then mirror back to life to get the thing. That's the testaments.

  • Deliver 4 Native Decorations to Tarl Punox 0/4

    Step 4

Turn in all the pieces and a name spawns immediately and attacks: Exalted Guardian Relp.

  • Kill the guard threatening Tarl 0/1 Zone: Sul Vius: Demiplane of Life

Kill Exalted Guardian Relph or Guardian Elle, the Exalted.

  • Open the chest 0/1 Zone: Sul Vius: Demiplane of Life

In the chest was Minor Essence of Life, Greater Essence of Life, and Severed Hooplet.

For completing Partisan you get a Lesser Spirit of Life plus the standard 4 AAs, etc.

    Sippin's wording:

This is a Heroic Adventure which is all you need to do to merit the achievement Partisan of Sul Vius: Demiplane of Life. The requirements for various achievements are weirdly very very variable. Some require just ONE relatively easy mission; others have as many as 24! For example, Lesser Spirit Armor requires performing 4 missions SIX TIMES EACH. THIS is one of those missions. And you need to complete this to be able to get Heroic Adventures in the Crypt of Sul. I'm not even remotely close to this and before I tackle the mind-numbing task of doing these 4 missions 6 times each I'll need to read some good pitches as to why I will care about Crypt of Sul HA's.

For THIS mission, the steps are as follows:

Kill mobs in different parts of the instanced DemiPlane of Life to collect between 1 and 5 of 3 different items that the quest-giver wants to stock his shop, evidently. The drop rate is rather low, probably around 20%. The worst thing is the "drop zones" are rather imprecise. The game text mentions parts of the city which do not appear on the in-game map and the walk-thru on EQResource, which is about the best we have so far, is incomplete and not entirely accurate. Like the task step to acquire items of clothing from the NPCs in the theater. Well, I cleared the ENTIRE theater, audience AND stage and got only 2 of the 3 I needed. Fearing I was working on a bugged mission I moved "upstairs" in a building which did not really appear to be part of the theater. Killing there I acquired all 4 of the drops from a DIFFERENT step which ostensibly are supposed to fall in the SOUTHWEST section of the zone. (This upstairs area is distinctly NOT southwest.) Still needing one theater drop, I reasoned that since the theater is accessed from "the pit" (a name which appears nowhere on the map or the in-game mission guide, but is so described on EQResource) I would just slaughter any mobs in the pit---essentially anything below ground level---and sure enough on the 4th kill I got my last drop.

Once you get all the drops you have to return to the quest-giver (his instanced persona) and turn them all. Be forewarned, however, when you do so the named mob whose death is required by the last step spawns immediately. He spawns and attacks the quest-giver, both of whom are ON THE EVAC SPOT. So if you do what I did, send one toon to do the turn-in and then evac the rest of the group to move them there you will be in combat immediately upon touchdown.

  • Deliver 3 Unique Gemstones to Tarl Punox 0/4

    Step 5

  • Kill the guard threatening Tarl 0/1

Exalted Guard Relph paths from north to south towards Tarl. You have a few seconds before he engages.

    Step 6

  • Open the chest 0/1

    Different Steps for This HA
    # Feb 07 2016 at 11:24 AM Rating: Decent
The following are different steps we received today when we picked up this HA:

Step #1: Loot Writing Tools from their government offices 0/2 Sul Vius: Demiplane of Life
These were Bone Quills and dropped off of functionaries in the same SW area where we found Bone Keys

Step #2: Loot Delicacies from the underground bar 0/4 Sul Vius: Demiplane of Life
The underground bar was easy to find - bartender and all. The delicacies dropped off of citizens and residents in the bar area. Note: Be prepared for them to run when nearly dead.

Step #3 & #4: Delivered the above to Tarl Punox, after which Guardian Elle, the Exalted strolled up and attacked. Killed him and then opened and looted the chest. We got the Gorget of Cycles today, plus a couple spell essences.

Skeleton who will attack Tral after you turnin the items. Then stand there (and after de-aggro) ... so getting back in, have IVU, if necessary.

He had about 9.5M hp. Almost 25k hitter. Guardian swing, his AE(?) was painful. Cast it 5x in a 201 sec fight.

Named ghoul spawned north of the gov't building. Roamed a short distance along the path. Hit in the 30k range. Parser caught an "unknown" cast twice in 20 seconds. He was mean.

The area of the drops are always completely separated. It is not the house or a building, it is all what is inside the garden walls. So if you have government building or big house then the SW/NW area includes all what is inside these walls. Mostly I do not need to go inside the house, but sometimes drops are more common inside houses and that seems random. Also the mayors statuette drops outside around the building or better to say, inside the garden walls of the mayors building (that means also outside in the garden).

If a way is blocked then this is also easy: use the underground tunnels. These connect ALL zone areas when they are blocked. To find the right way is a bit run-around if you don't know the zone. This zone is pretty complicated at first sight, a kind of Blackburrow in big, but really nice. There are hidden caverns at the bottom of the underground area which I detected via accident after some tasks.

If named are spawning then they are mostly no problem with a decent TDS group geared crew. Never tried with mercs but I can imagine that mercs have their troubles in these underground areas.

    Chest loot ist mostly 1x Armor/Weapon/Jewelry, 2x Spells 101-105, e.g.:

    Oscillating Stone
    Range
    AC28, HP311, m/e 304
    Str/Sta 12+1, Int/Wis 20+1, Agi 16+1, Dex 20+1, Cha 12+2
    svM15, svD19, svP/F/C17
    Attack12, HP+3, FT+2, Spellshield+1, Combat+2, Shielding+1,DS+1,DoTShield+1,Avoid+3, Accuracy+2,Stun+1,Strike+1,Heal+2,Spell+2,Clair+2
    Aug 3/5/7/9, Improved Dodge V (50)

At this present date this is completely crap because I assume that the Broken Mirror is so buggy that no Augment can improve at moment Range- and Charm-Items, Jewelry or Weapons to get par to TDS-Stuff. Augs are configurated as "armor only", so bank your stuff if it is not the new Raw-Crypt Armor. This new armor is partly really cool, but misses Focus Effects - another imbalance or better to say bug in the new expansion. Besides that they made an extension like packages to an overpriced expansion, these bugs can really hit the bottom of EQ and this expansion is the worst start they did ever - comparing perhaps to things like Ykesha but that had even more different new zones than this expansion. Demiplane is the only REAL new zone, all others are recycled (perhaps Crypt of Sul is not, but didnt hit that zone so far, but I expect Lxavnom). Spells are nice but mana expensive - one nuke for druids and nearly 10.000 Mana down to the toilette is raw but the damage output of 305k crit as a Druid too. At this time it is more a beta version, not really a full game. And if you want to know how the word imbalance is best described, then meet Arsin the Blaze in the Heroes Tasks of Demiplane of Life. 4 Nukes and you are mana empty. No LOS, no range 200 and only 6 people for finishing that guy..... have fun. If the bugs are corrected it could be a nice packages to waste a month of time. Hopefully we do not need to wait too long for the corrections.

The above combo has come up for me a couple of times but there are a number of others, including one requiring only ONE drop, which sounds easy but I was never able to acquire it until I ran out of personal time to continue the mission. I must have been hunting in the wrong area or killing the wrong mobs. I will post the other drop tasks as I run into them.
