Jeb Lumsed has you searching the four masters of Enchanter disciplines, Mizzle Gepple (aka, Clockwork VIIX) is the master of enlightened magic.

He wishes four items be brought to him in return for a piece of the Staff of the Shissar.

You: Hail Clockwork VIIX!
You: Are you mizzle?
Clockwork VIIX: 'Oh hello! I'm Mizzle, that I am. I bet you want to be given true clarity, don't you?'

You: 'What are the required components? I am ready to collect them.'
Clockwork VIIX: 'Then bring me a spoon, the one key, the lost scroll, and the book Charm and Sacrifice. I will then reward you with what you seek.'

You: 'What spoon?'
Clockwork VIIX: 'Its a giant sized tool I will use to stir my magical pot. The spoon will help finish the ritual of crafting.'

The Spoon can be found on Cazel.

You: 'What one key?'
Clockwork VIIX: 'It is a key I lost long ago when I was travelling with a companion. We were traveling in the new lands flying over some large crevices when the key dropped out of my pocket.'

The Key can be found on a Mesa in the canyons of The Overthere.

You: 'What lost scroll?'
Clockwork VIIX: 'The lost scroll contains the magical incantation I need to help you out. It was penned ages ago by the Elves. It was lost along with its protector during one of the raids on the Outpost in Firiona. I fear it may be lost for good.'

The Scroll can be found in the Crypt of Dalnir behind a bed.

You: 'What book of charm and sacrifice?'
Clockwork VIIX: 'Oh, that is a book of good reading. If you want to take the time to read it. I haven't had much free time to read it, but now that you are getting supplies for me, I can take a break.'

The book is on a table in the plane of Sky.

You place A Spoon into an Enchanter's Bag.
You place The One Key into an Enchanter's Bag.
You place The Lost Scroll into an Enchanter's Bag.
You place Book of Charm and Sacrifice into an Enchanter's Bag.
You have fashioned the items together to create something new!
You receive A Sack for Mizzle.
You give A Sack for Mizzle to Clockwork VIIX.

Clockwork VIIX: 'Oh excellent, you have done what is required. Here take this part, and seek the third master, you are well on your way.'

Your faction standing with TrueSpirit got better.
You gain experience!!
You receive the 2nd piece of staff.

Cazel - Spoon
# Jan 10 2016 at 10:36 PM Rating: Excellent
Cazel can be soloed by a 60 enchanter (and potentially as low as level 46). On the TLP Lockjaw server, I just killed him solo. There is an NPC next to the Swamp of No Hope that you can charm with Allure. His name is "Andad Filla" He might wander though, I have seen him directly north of the "Orc Camp" (and East a little bit of the Sand Giants camp, where the abandoned tower is). Any way, Charm him with Allure and he will kill Cazel in about 20 seconds or so... Easy. Tash him, charm, haste... Thats all you need on him. My CHA is 242...

Cazel spawns directly West of both the Wizard spire and the Orc camp on your map... Up against the wall. At level 60, Cazel did not resist any of my spells. Not that i needed to cast any but i did.

Extremely easy fight - as long as your charm doesnt break. his respawn timer from what I have read online is 2 - 23 hours.

Good luck,

Quest Info

This sub-quest IMO was the easiest of the 4. Since the description above doesn't give you the most accurate locations of each item I'll post them for you so you don't have to do the extended research.

First - Mizzle Gepple is actually called Clockwork VIIX. She is in Ak'Anon at (2020, -520). Handed her Jebs Seal, she gave it back along with the bag for the components. The dialog above will work but its a time saver just to hand her the seal.

The Spoon - Drops on Cazel (Named mob in South Ro). I made a post on his location and fight info if you follow the link in the description above. Hes west of the wizzy spire and orcs (near the wall) for a quick location here.

The One Key - Its located in the Overthere. Location point is (-190, -380) which is the top of one of the pillars in the canyon. Easiest way to get to it is to walk around to the east side of the canyon, cast levitate, and float on over to it. Its just sitting on the ground (graphic looks like 1 of those bags when you drop something from your inventory). Can't confirm it, but it supposedly repops every 24 hours, so if its not there when you first show up, just try again the following day.

The Lost Scroll - Its in the bottom of Dalnir's Crypt at (-20, 50). I believe its sub-level 3. It took me a while to get there since you have to drop down to I think level 4 before you can get up to level 3. Easiest way to get to it is to invis past all of the mobs. I went looking for it at lvl 62, all mobs were grey, but still attacked me anyway so it was a pain having to stop and fight them. When you see a lot of Sarnaks, you're close. The room has a single mob in it, along with a bed and a bookshelf. The scroll is located on the far side of the bed between it and the wall. Again I can't confirm it, but it supposedly repops every 24 hours, so if its not there when you first show up, just try again the following day.

Book of Charm and Sacrifice - Located in the Plain of Sky in the Quest Room (1300, 560). Easiest way to PoS is either through guild hall or wizard teleport (wizzy port removes all of your buffs). If you're unfamiliar with PoS, you need to have the key to port from one island to the next. Since its random for each person I cant tell you which one. Easiest way is to simply bring about 500-600 platinum and buy 1 of each off of the Keymaster. Click the key from ur inventory so its on the mouse, and then click the pad. If you're holding the right one, you'll port no problem, if not you'll get a red message. Just put that key down and try a different one until you get it. Once in the quest room, the book is sitting on the table in the corner (mobs aren't kos). Since gate/porting wont work in this zone, just jump off the island and you'll fall and zone into east freeport.

Sidenote on Keys in PoS: If you dont have the money to buy the keys from the keymaster, I believe they drop on the fairies on the first island. Careful though, if you fight a fairy, you might agro others that are close to you. Keymaster is the only mob that wont join in the fight if you move around.

ANYWAYS place all 4 items in the bag, combine, and give it back to Mezzle in Ak'anon for the 2nd piece of the staff. I know this post was a bit long but I hope it helps. Only took me about 2-2.5 hours to get all the pieces since all the mobs and items were up when I arrived at their respective locations.

PS - I did this as a 62 gnome enchanter w/ no help other than a healer merc for the battle.

Getting a sack...

If he says he needs proof that you have talked to Jeb, simply hand him Jeb's Seal. Don't worry, he won't eat it. Instead, you will hear the little victory jingle and the seal will be returned and you will get a sack too. In my case, I only had one inventory slot open and so the seal appeared there and the sack appeared on my cursor.

Good luck with your epic,
Abiin
Dalnir: The Lost Scroll
# Sep 18 2005 at 10:43 AM Rating: Decent
Just got the scroll...It's almost at the VERY end of the ENTIRE dungeon. Make sure you go down to the THIRD LEVEL (this means that you will fall down 2 seperate holes). The first is in the middle of the big room on the first floor, fall down that orange hole, then on that level, go down the stairs, and right before you get into the room that contains only a single tomb, there is a big section of square tiles. This is a trap. Fall down that hole, and the scroll is on that floor. Just poke around until you find it. Nothing sees invis, so if you have improved invisibility, you'll be fine. Keep in mind though that the scroll is in a bedroom past the cells, laboratories, and meeting rooms, almost at the VERY end of the third level.

This is false. "An undead blacksmith" sees invisibility, but if you know where you're going, you won't run into him. Just a warning for lower levels trying to work on their epic, at 67 it really isn't an issue hehe.

the key

just use the loc that's given on the chanter guide page that's been linked in another post...lot easier than trying to follow most of the directions here *no offense intended*

Port up to PoA. Buy the key that costs 1cp, I belive it's called Key of Veeshan or something like that. Head to the portal due north from the key master. Use the key there, you're in the quest room.

Don't need extra people for this, just get a nice wizard friend to port you up, and don't forget to bring 1cp. =P
Scroll in Dalnir

My guild and another are planning to raid Dalnir and I noticed that the lost scroll can be found there... Does anyone have any idea as to where more specifically it is besides 'behind a bed'? Much appreciated :)

Hello,

I managed to go down into Dalnir by myself invised. Did not have to fight at all. I am 50 so I used improved invis and I was able to get down there. I lost invis once and I aggroed one thing which I mezzed and managed to get the scroll without any problems. Once I cast gate I aggroed the mob in the other room but was able to successfully get gate off with hardly any problems. I would suggest putting a rune on before invising if you are going down this way.

It is on the third level and I used the maps to find it.

To my knowledge Jeb is broken, he wont give the bags anymore, you have to get one from one of the four other masters, ask any one of them "i need a sack" and you should get on

The above link (if they'll let me post it) has an amazing walkthrough for the epic, including pictures, so that you know exactly which friggin' pillar the key is on. (Just a hint for the key, face into the canyon from the WW side, not the FM side, run down the little ramp and straight off until you have landed on a pillar next to a really tall one that directly faces the ent to the dungeon on the ground. The key spawns there, at the exact loc on the website provided. If it's not there, some enchanter beat you to it within the previous 24 hours.)

Allow me to clear his directions up a bit.

There are several ramps around the canyon. You want to be on the one that is nearly straight west from the Warsliks Woods zone line. It will be on the EAST side and facing up the ramp you will be facing northwest.

From there you will see a little (actually HUGE) stone arch. If you get off the ramp and come around to this arch and walk along the top and face the ramp you just left you will see _way_down_ a very (compared to the others in the area) short 'mesa'. (pillar of rock colored the same as the canyon walls) That is the mesa you want. Go back to the ramp but instead of climbing it just walk the ledge in front of it till you see that stone arch again. Line it up so that you are headed from the ledge in front of the ramp toward the stone arch and you will pass over the mesa with the key.

With JBoots and Air Elemental form both I and a friend were both able to get to this position and find the bag (well, I have to wait for the bag to spawn again) which is the key.
