The Darkened Sea Info & Guides: Overview | Progression & Task List | Raiding | Visible Armor

This solo task begins with Priestess Gli`helin (click for map image) in Degmar.

    Pre-Requisites for Requesting:
    - Minimum Level 95
    - Minimum Apprehensive faction with "Degmar's Commoners" (complete Damtom Silverhammer's two tasks)

Say "collect" to request the task.

    You say, 'Hail, Priestess Glihelin'

Priestess Glihelin says 'May Tunare bless you, _____. Your deeds in the castle have floated to my ears. I will not bore you with conversation unless you [desire] it. I wish to add [life] to the temple, and to [retrieve] a confiscated relic.'

You say, 'I desire it, yes...'

Priestess Glihelin says 'I've been in this castle since it was ripped from Faydark. For centuries, everything was fine. We had an endless supply of food from the dining room to sustain us. But alas, despite my prophesy that the castle would return to the surface, the elves did not fare [well].'

    You say, 'Not well?'

Priestess Glihelin says 'Over the centuries, many elves went a bit crazy because of their confinement in the castle. About twenty years ago, it all came to a head. A group of elves got together, and in their insanity, they started killing dwarves, and implicating other dwarves for the murders. This went on for about a year while the dwarves became more and more paranoid. Then [Commander Alast Degmar], who was already unbalanced because of my prophesy, caught an elf attempting to [assassinate] him.'

You say, 'Who is Commander Alast Degmar?'

Priestess Glihelin says 'Comander Degmar is no longer really with us. Paranoia has made him miserable and unreasonable. He is difficult to find, and when he is around, he tends to attack first, and speak later.'

    You say, 'Assassinate him?'

Priestess Glihelin says 'With proof that cemented his paranoid beliefs, he went on a murderous spree, slaughtering every elf in the castle. I managed to hide, and have stayed vigilant and hidden from him every since. The merchants know that I am here, but they protect and feed me. While most of the dwarves remain paranoid and xenophobic, a kind of peace has settled over the castle.'

You say, 'How can we add life to the temple?'

Priestess Glihelin says 'You will need to [collect] some supplies and plants from within the castle, return with them, and plant them to add life to my chapel. Let me [know] if you need more details.'

You say, 'I'll collect some supplies'

Priestess Glihelin says 'Thank you. I've written a list in your journal. Of course tell me if you need to [know] more.'

You have been assigned the task 'Castle Growth'.

Priestess Glihelin would like you to help add some life to her chapel. Collect the tools you will need, water, and plants in order to give the place life.

You say, 'I need to know more'

Priestess Glihelin says 'To help with this task, you will need to get some water from the [store room] of the brewery, tools from the [workshop], and plants from the [library].'

You say, 'What about the store room?'

Priestess Glihelin says 'To get to the store room, take the west branch in the foyer to the upper levels of the castle. Go through the merchant rooms and the dining room to the brewery. The store room is the turret. You will find the pure water there.'

You say, 'What about the workshop?'

Priestess Glihelin says 'This is a more difficult task. The dwarves within the workshop will have the tools. I do not endorse killing them, but I will leave it to you to decide how you retrieve the tools from them. You will find the workshop beyond the brewery on the west branch and upper level of the castle.'

You say, 'What about the library?'

Priestess Glihelin says 'The library is in the first room from the east branch of the foyer, on the lower level of the castle. You will find the plants in the areas where the dwarves are digging. You may also find that those dwarves have some plants in their pockets if you can convince them to give it to you.'

Collect 1 Pure Water 0/1 (Degmar, the Lost Castle)

Collect 1 Digging Tools 0/1 (Degmar, the Lost Castle)

These drop from "a confused smith" and "a dedicated artisan".

Collect 3 Aquatic Plants 0/3 (Degmar, the Lost Castle)

Pure Water is a ground spawn in the storage area for the brewery (the small room connected to it). It appear as a glowing blue light in the back of the room.

The Digging Tools drop from "a dedicated artisan" dwarves in the Workshop (must be on this task for the item to drop, with chance to drop multiples if more than one person in group is on the task).

The Aquatic Plants are ground spawns near the diggers in the library (appear as small bushes on the ground).

Find a spot to the west and south of Priestess Glihelin to place a plant 0/1 (Degmar, the Lost Castle)

Updates at around /loc -75, 230, 42. (You'll see small pots of mud on the ground.)

Find a spot to the east and south of Priestess Glihelin to place a plant 0/1 (Degmar, the Lost Castle)

    Updates at around /loc -65, 190, 42.

Find a spot behind Priestess Glihelin to place a plant 0/1 (Degmar, the Lost Castle)

    Updates at around /loc -45, 210, 42.

You place and water a plant only Priestess Gli'helin seems to see.

Speak with Priestess Gli`helin 0/1 (Degmar, the Lost Castle)

    You say, 'Hail, Priestess Glihelin'

Priestess Glihelin says 'Thank you. I know you can't see them, but they look magnificent to my eyes. I will take the tools off your hands, and the extra water you have left in order to continue to care for them.'

Deliver 1 Digging Tools to Priestess Gli`helin 0/1 (Degmar, the Lost Castle)

Deliver 1 Pure Water to Priestess Gli`helin 0/1 (Degmar, the Lost Castle)

Priestess Gli'helin is pleased with the new life in her chapel.

I don't seem them as pots. More like miniature plots of land or perhaps soil in a flat box.
