The Darkened Sea Info & Guides: Overview | Progression & Task List | Raiding | Visible Armor

This solo task begins with Jameswell Dagmire (click for map image) on Brother Island. He's found in one of the side rooms on the ground floor of the tower in the southern part of the island.

Pre-Requisites for Requesting:
- Achievement: Partisan of Tempest Temple (completion of "A Rising Storm" and "Gathering Clouds")
- Achievement: Hero of Tempest Temple (completion of "Clearer Skies")
- Achievement: Partisan of Katta Castrum: Deluge (completion of "The Abscent Scholar")
- Achievement: Hero of Katta Castrum: Deluge (completion of "The Edge of Balance")

Say "talk" to request the task.

Note: The tower in this zone can be buggy in that some quest NPCs may show up for you under the world. They're not really under the world; your computer just thinks they are. This should be fixable by camping within the zone and then returning (you'll now see them at their intended locations).

You say, 'Hail, Jameswell Dagmire'

Jameswell Dagmire regards you coolly. 'You say that Firiona sends you to us? You shouldn't speak that name too loudly here; not all the [Brothers] have welcomed her arrival, especially given the [events] that have followed.'

You say, 'Brothers?'

Jameswell Dagmire says 'Years ago the sirens began growing more troublesome in the Buried Sea: stealing whole crews of vessels or sending their thralls to attack merchant ships. Quigley and I were victims of one such attack.' Jameswell gestures to the stump of his arm. 'We formed the Brothers as a group of sailors who would [protect] the sea and its vessels from the beauty that lurks in the deep.'

You say, 'How would you protect them?'

Jameswell Dagmire says 'We search ships for any hidden sirens, provide escorts through dangerous waters, or offer direct passage onboard our own ships. Trade is much safer now that the Brothers are [here].'

You say, 'Where is 'here'?'

Jameswell Dagmire says 'We found this island nearly uninhabited two years ago. I say 'nearly,' for as you might have seen there are still some unwelcome residents we have yet to expel. But we are rebuilding the old structures as more and more gold arrives from our good works around the Buried Sea, and soon this island will be a haven from predation.'

You say, 'What events happened?'

Jameswell Dagmire says 'As Firiona's Swift Fin sailed around the island of storms, our Brotherhood and Deaf Soldier blocked her path. Our brothers did what they always do to protect the seas: board and search the vessel for sirens. Finding such beauty on board with no other reason for travelling the seas than 'bringing balance and healing Tsaph Katta,' my less-discerning brothers had no choice but to escort the Swift Fin to our island. But I soon discerned the [truth].'

You say, 'What truth?'

Jameswell Dagmire says 'Of course, Firiona and her companions were no sirens...' Jameswell pauses and rubs his chin. '... though the warrior woman, Dagda, certainly has her charms...' Jameswell waves his hand, as though trying to dismiss his thoughts. 'We are far too suspicious nowadays, with the increasing siren attacks around the Buried Sea. But that is only one of the [concerning] things about the seas, and Firiona told us she would set them right.'

You say, 'Concerning?'

Jameswell Dagmire says 'The island that glitters at dusk, the island that has sprung out of the sea, the portal that leads to the forgotten halls of dwarves, and the jungle island we found that has for so long been lost. Some of Firiona's companions left to investigate the islands; others were preparing to depart, but then the [incident] happened.'

You say, 'What incident?'

Jameswell Dagmire says 'The halfling, Dreezil -- we should have been checking for thieves as well as sirens. Dagda and Daber were preparing to sail to other islands when, during the night, our treasury was raided. In the morning, we could not find the halfling anywhere; apparently he stole a dinghy and set sail. [Quigley] questioned Dagda and Dabner, but getting nothing from them on Dreezil's whereabouts, Quigley confined them to the island. I can't imagine Dagda would conspire to do such a thing, but she and Dabner are to remain here until the debt is repaid nonetheless.'

You say, 'Who is Quigley?'

Jameswell Dagmire says 'He and I cofounded the Brothers and established our protectorate of the seas. He never liked Firiona or her companions. This new threat you speak of -- perhaps you can [talk] to Quigley and reason with him. While I value our gold, the safety of the seas is paramount.'

You say, 'I'll talk to him...'

Jameswell Dagmire says 'I wish you luck!'

You have been assigned the task 'Just Recompense'.

Because of actions taken by Dreezil Stickens, Quigley Barnables and the Brothers are holding Firiona's companions until they can come up with the lost gold. Jameswell thinks you can be of use to Quigley and help pay off some of his debt.

Speak with Quigley Barnables 0/4 (Brother Island)

Quigley Barnables (click for map image) stands nearby... Hail him until the task updates. Doing so will open up the three "Speak with..." steps listed below.

Quigley Barnables stamps his foot and points his finger in your face. 'You know Firiona?! You're here to pay her debt?! I don't think there is enough gold in the Buried Sea for that to happen!'

Quigley Barnables says 'That thieving little halfling spit upon our hospitality and cost us dearly. I don't care who is after Firiona or staff, or who has attacked Katta Castrum. I want justice!'

Quigley Barnables says '[Jameswell] might care about that barbarian woman and her gnome, but they can rot here until Firiona has paid us back for the wrongs of that halfling.'

Quigley Barnables sneers. 'If you expect any sort of passage to the other islands, you best start repaying what is owed. I know Brother Dockle, Brother Sprudd, and Brother Saldar could use some extra coin or some hands for menial labor.'

You say, 'Tell me about Jameswell...'

Quigley Barnables says 'You want to know more about that old scurvy dog? Well, he's my friend and cofounder of the Brothers, but we began as [enemies].'

You say, 'Enemies?'

Quigley Barnables says 'I once sailed a merchant ship for the Freetide Cartel. I captained it well, despite what some might say about my size and age. But then one night the [pirates] attacked.'

You say, 'What pirates?'

Quigley Barnables says 'Jameswell Dagmire had been a pirate sailing the waters of the Buried Sea, harassing the ships of the Freetide Cartel, trying to make his name known and build his riches. That night he and his pirates rammed and [boarded] my vessel.'

You say, 'Boarded your vessel?'

Quigley Barnables says 'As he neared me on the deck, Jameswell stopped in his tracks, sword still drawn and dripping blood. But he wasn't the only one stilled at that moment: all the men on the ships, both pirates and my crew, turned their heads toward the reef, listening to the [song] that sailed over the surf.'

You say, 'What song?'

Quigley Barnables says 'Entranced by the song, the men manned the tillers, scuttling both ships on the reef. Broken beams and broken men floated in the sea, some still swimming toward the song. One by one they disappeared as scaly hands grabbed their legs and dragged them down into the grottos. But [we] held on.'

You say, ''We'?'

Quigley Barnables says 'Jameswell and I still held to the rigging of my listing galleon, the sea kissing our arms with cold. But a warm light grew as we stared into the dark waters: a face as [beautiful] as any you could imagine drifted up from the depths, smiling at us with an outstretched hand. Jameswell reached out.'

You say, 'A beautiful face?'

Quigley Barnables says 'I am not a young man. My hearing is nearly gone, and so is my desire for women. I shouted at Jameswell to let go and that it was no maiden he clutched. But his grip remained strong. I've seen men lost to sirens; I know what becomes of them. I could not condemn any man, even a filthy pirate, to their [clutches].'

You say, 'Their clutches?'

Quigley Barnables says 'I drew Jameswell's sword from its scabbard, groaning to lift the shaft of steel forged for human strength. It took three tries. When the bone snapped and the last thread of skin ripped away, Jameswell's blood rushed into the sea, along with any desire left for the scaly, disfigured face under the water that still clutched the severed [arm].'

You say, 'What did you do with his arm?'

Quigley Barnables says 'The siren swam away with only a fraction of her intended prize. I bound the pirate's stump and staunched the bleeding. When sunlight found us, all of our men were dead or gone, taken by the sirens. Then and there Jameswell and I swore that from that day forward neither pirates nor merchants would be helpless victims of the sirens of the Buried Sea. That day we founded the [Brothers].'

You say, 'The Brothers?'

Quigley Barnables says 'Jameswell and I have put aside our differences. We have recruited an assorted group of pirates, merchants, and other men interested in sailing the seas without falling prey to sirens.'

Speak with Brother Dockle 0/2 (Brother Island)

Brother Dockle (click for map image) is found at the top of the tower's ramp. Hail him until the task updates.

Brother Dockle scribbles a line in his logbook. 'We'll have to go without pay! Where will we get the gold to pay for shipments of food, weapons, and construction material without shorting the Brothers their shares? This could be our undoing!

Brother Dockle says 'I have no doubt the captain of the Swift Fin, Sedgethwait, was in on the theft. He has been complaining the whole time here about how this is costing him money and that Firiona owes him. If Quigley wants his money, he should be squeezing Sedgethwait!'

Speak with Captain Sedgethwait 0/6 (Brother Island)

Captain Sedgethwait (click for map image) is found right on the eastern coast of the island, in the inlet at /loc -3900, -3800, 305. Hail him until the task updates.

Captain Sedgethwait says 'Firiona... if I didn't believe in her mission, I wouldn't mind not hearing that name again. Since bringing her party onboard, I've had nothing but trouble: underpaid, captured by Brothers, and held here on this island for something that greedy halfling did.'

Captain Sedgethwait says 'Firiona only paid me half upfront, promising the rest once we reached the entrance to Katta Castrum. But we never arrived there after our vessel was commandeered by the Brothers. Then Firiona was off to save some sleeping king, and I was left hoping that I would get my money.'

Captain Sedgethwait says 'Well, that almost happened, but now we're all paying for it.' Captain Sedgethwait draws closer to you and speaks in a hushed voice. 'Dreezil actually came to me after he stole the Brothers' gold. He promised a share if I could loan him a dinghy and pick him up from the northern island chain once Firiona sets sail. Well, it would have covered Firiona's half, so I agreed.'

Captain Sedgethwait says 'Of course I don't have any of the gold with me! The Brothers stamp their gold pieces with their own sign, so if they searched us thoroughly, they would know we stole from them. Dreezil still has that gold. But that didn't stop Swabby Burtlap from making things even worse for us.'

Captain Sedgethwait says 'When he heard the Brothers were questioning us about stolen money, he was frightened. Not being a terribly smart man, he came up with an idiotic plan. Or perhaps he's actually the smart one. From what I can tell, he stole our chest of copper and silver and tried to row away with it. All I know is that we found an empty dinghy the next day, with no sign of the chest or Burtlap. Perhaps the Brothers took him... or the sirens.'

Captain Sedgethwait says 'It might not be enough, but if you could find the chest Burtlap stole, perhaps we could appease the Brothers for a time with a little bit of our silver. We found the dinghy near the eastern shore of the island, so perhaps the chest sank near there.'

Get the silver that Swabby Burtlap stole. His boat was found in shark-infested waters 0/1 (Brother Island)

Here, you need to kill the Bloated Shark (click for map image), located on the floor of the sea, a little ways southeast of the dock to Combine Dredge (northeastern corner of the island). Loot "Swift Fin's Chest of Silver" from its corpse.

Give the silver to Brother Dockle 0/1 (Brother Island)

Brother Dockle dumps out the contents of the chest and frowns as he scatters the coins around. 'Copper and silver? No gold? This will never be enough! We can't eat with silver! Quigley will have me for breakfast! There must be gold on the Swift Fin!' Brother Dockle continues to mutter while he counts the coins.

Speak with Brother Sprudd 0/1 (Brother Island)

Brother Sprudd (click for map image) is also found at the top of the tower's ramp. Hail him to open up the next three steps.

You say, 'Hail, Brother Sprudd'

Brother Sprudd scratches his backside and squints at you. 'Here to deliver food? Guests need food, but we all out. Little wee man take Brothers' coins! Go find island food. Saltweed grow near shores. Crabs everywhere. Mash tubers grow in sand.

Forage for saltweed in the water around the shores 0/2 (Brother Island)
Can be picked up as ground spawns.
Saltweed is in the water by a rock at Location : -3051 -3374

Get crab meat from the crabs on the island 0/5 (Brother Island)

Forage for mash tubers in the middle of the island 0/2 (Brother Island)
Can be picked up as ground spawns.
Mash Tuber its a ground spawn at -3986 -3531 looks like red berries on some green leaf

NOTE: As of the patch in November 2014, the "forage" items required can also be found as ground spawns (presumably in the same areas as they would be foraged in: the Saltweed underwater off the coast and the Mash Tubers in the center area).

Saltweed can be foraged just off the coast, in the water. One confirmed /loc (vicinity) to work is at /loc -3115, -3290, 288 (underwater off the north-central coast). "Crab Meat" is a common drop off "razorlatch" mobs (note: while not KOS, these mobs are social with one another). "Mash Tuber" can be foraged in the sand area in the center of the zone. One confirmed /loc (vicinity) to work is at /loc -3965, -3315, 328.

Give the saltweed to Brother Sprudd 0/2 (Brother Island)

Give the crab meat to Brother Sprudd 0/5 (Brother Island)

Give the mash tubers to Brother Sprudd 0/2 (Brother Island)

Speak with Brother Sprudd 0/1 (Brother Island)

You say, 'Hail, Brother Sprudd'

Brother Sprudd says 'Good meats, good eats.' Brother Sprudd begins preparing meals from the ingredients you brought. 'Hot and tasty. Give to prisoners!'

Speak with Dabner 0/5 (Brother Island)

Dabner Drednever (click for map image) is found in the southwestern room on the main floor of the tower. Hail him until the task updates.

Dabner Drednever leaves off staring at the walls of his cell. The aging gnome regards you with a wistful, resigned glance and takes the meal from your hands. 'Has she already eaten her fill? Dagda always welcomed second helpings... ' Dabner is silent for a moment. 'Firiona sends you with supper? Somehow I doubt that will be enough to free us.'

Dabner Drednever says 'I had been getting along so well here before Dreezil fouled it all. The quiet of my cell, the whisper of the waves, the books, the solitude away from [Dagda] -- it was as though I was awaking from a long, fevered slumber. Now I keep hearing Dagda's voice in my sleep and wonder if she's calling out for help, beset by some evil on all sides.'

Dabner Drednever says 'But now I hear another sound: Beautiful songs drifting from the sea. And I think: what other beauty lives beyond these walls, beyond this island, beyond this sea? What is there beyond Dagda?' Dabner holds up a hand that is starting to show cracks and wrinkles. He touches his face. 'I am not young, and the yearning is almost as old as I. Which one of us will die first? Only one can live on when the other is dead.'

Dabner Drednever picks at his meal. 'The Brothers say the songs I hear are those of the sirens. They say only the weak follow the songs into the sea. But have I not already been snared by a siren's song? I followed her into wintery oceans and foundered against her wintery heart. I want to climb out of the waves and warm myself against a fire, but I have grown numb to the cold. It won't be long before the frost covers my skin and I fall asleep forever in the embrace of snow that the dying mistake for warmth.' Dabner sets his plate down, his food barely touched.

Dabner Drednever says 'Firiona is safe... but what of us? The Brothers will never let us go as long as their gold is gone. And Firiona is not even coming to this island?' Dabner sighs. 'I am a cleric. I may heal wounds, but I don't wish to cause them. Dagda was always the one to speak with about how to wield cold steel.'

You say, 'Tell me about Dagda'

Dabner Drednever says 'After we thought Firiona died, Ognit left for Ak`Anon. Dagda set out for Halas. Where was I to go? I could not betray my heart; I rode beneath the furs in the back of Dagda's wagon, vowing to follow her wherever she went. After all, couldn't a warrior like her use the [touch] of a cleric?'

You say, 'The touch of a cleric?'

Dabner Drednever says 'My hands were soon employed: mending her fishing nets, cooking her meals, and healing the wounds she received from fighting bears or the men of the taverns. I never even complained when she didn't show up from the taverns until the next morning, lying about the 'bruises' on her neck. She was never mine, but I was her [thrall]...'

You say, 'Her thrall?'

Dabner Drednever says 'The Brothers speak of the men lost to sirens: utterly helpless, mindless, and devoted to their captors. Does that not describe my fate? But what release can I find?'

Speak with Dagda 0/6 (Brother Island)

Dagda Icefury (click for map image) is found in a tent on the coast due east of the tower.

If you hang around her, you'll hear this song:

Dagda Icefury sings, 'With sword in hand she faced the blight,'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'And all around the dead of night,'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'The waves awoke with blazing light'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'And lit the tilting ship.'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'The darkness gathered thick as rain.'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'The lightning stabbed the ocean pane.'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'The pointed sword glowed white as flame'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'And clattered to the deck.'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'The maiden bent and clutched the rail.'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'The winds arose and tore the sail.'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'Her wrath was drowned to no avail'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'Amidst the raging storm.'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'When sunlight burned apart the clouds,'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'And roiling waves were smooth as shrouds,'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'And silence stood upon the prow,'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'The maid could not be found.'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'Her helmet, chest plate, bracer, gloves'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'Had sunk beneath the realm above.'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'The only scrap to float was love,'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'And this is what it read:'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'Be light, my dove, and do take heed:'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'To curse the seas there is no need.'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'From heavy armor do be freed'
Dagda Icefury sings, 'And take the cloth instead.'

Hail her until the task updates:

Dagda Icefury laughs, 'The song? It's called the 'Warrior and the Waves.' Dabner taught it to me on the voyage here. I think it was one of Sionachie's old songs. It's stupid.'

Dagda Icefury says 'In a sea full of pirates and sirens, why wouldn't you keep a sword at your side and plate on your chest? If your footing is sure, you're more likely to face off against daggers or teeth than whitecaps.'

Dagda Icefury says 'Speaking of sirens, haven't you heard? Aren't you afraid to talk to me? According to the men who guard me, I'm a siren come to steal them away to the grottos!' Dagda tips her head back and laughs. 'As though I would want such frightened children as thralls!'

Dagda Icefury's laughter dies quickly as she crosses her arms and scowls. 'If it weren't for Firiona's request to work with these children, I'd be making them afraid of my blade right now. And I'd start first with the runt, Quigley. He exiles me to the tents with Firiona and Lyirae the minute we step on the island? And now he places me under guard for something Dreezil did? Yes, he'll be one of the first to go...'

Dagda Icefury says 'I've been spending my days brooding and singing songs to annoy my guards... and to keep me from turning my sword on them. It's boring, but at least this adventure is more exciting than life in [Halas]. True, I didn't think it would become a bloodless stalemate, but when you tell me all that has happened in Katta Castrum, I think it's time my sword tasted a bit of blood.'

Dagda Icefury slams her fist into her hand. 'When Firiona told me to be diplomatic, she wasn't facing the threat she is now. She needs us with her to find Al`Kabor. We can't let anything, especially not the Brothers, stand in our way. Meet me here tonight, and I'll show the Brothers they were right to fear me.' Dagda smiles, nods, and goes back to singing her song.

You say, 'How was Halas?'

Dagda Icefury shrugs. 'Halas is as good a place as any for a barbarian to settle. When Firiona left us and we disbanded, it was time to move on. I hate to admit it, but one cannot wield the sword forever; the day comes when you either die by it or are too weak to lift it. I thought I might learn the gentler [trades] in preparation for the later years.' Dagda runs a hand through strands of hair that have seen their touch of snow.

You say, 'Trades?'

Dagda Icefury says 'It wasn't easy. Fishing, hunting bears, trapping animals -- how can any of that compare to holding a sword in your hand, fighting for your life at the side of your [comrades]?' Dagda laughs. 'Drunken sparring after several rounds in the tavern doesn't count.'

You say, 'Your comrades?'

Dagda Icefury says 'Maybe I was getting too old -- too old to start a family, too old to fight great battles, too old to worry about the dreams of glory dreamt in youth. I saw many days of glory when I was young, in the days when I traveled with [Firiona] and her companions. When I thought she had died, perhaps my youth died too.'

You say, 'What about Firiona?'

Dagda Icefury says 'But Firiona was alive. When she arrived in Halas, I felt what I thought I would never feel again: the desire for a sword in my hand, a long road under my feet, and a quest yet to be accomplished. Perhaps I wasn't so old after all.' Dagda smiles. 'If anything, I can at least have one more adventure before my bones are more brittle than the Brothers' courage!''

Speak with Brother Saldar 0/3 (Brother Island)

Brother Saldar (click for map image) is found around the northwestern part of the island (/loc -3670, -2785). Hail him until the task updates.

Brother Saldar says 'You would fight with us? The sirens have grown fearsome. Even in daylight they creep up the shores and assail my men. We wear our [chastity helmets], but still some are taken. It gets even worse at night.'

Brother Saldar says 'Brothers don't want to wear their helmets at night! I've told them time and again to keep their helmets on no matter the time of day, but in the morning I find helmets but no men. We must guard against the song!'

Brother Saldar says 'It intensifies at night. Strangely, it also comes from the sea rather than the sirens themselves. They don't sing, but they can certainly bite. Well, are you going to help us or not?'

You say, 'What's with the chastity helmets?'

Brother Saldar says 'Quigley was smart: If you can't see a siren's beauty or hear her sultry song, you won't be seduced. He invented a helmet with a padded interior to deaden incoming sound. Colored, warped glass fills the visor, distorting any visions of beauty and rendering them inert. As long as we wear our helmets, we can withstand all but the most beautiful, sonorous sirens.'

Kill sirens when they emerge from the sea at night and attack 0/4 (Brother Island)

After nightfall (7pm-3am, or so, in game /time), sirens appear around the northwestern coast of the island, and a zonewide emote goes off. Five spawns can be found on the northwestern coast while many more can be found far off the northwestern coast in the water (and are separated enough that they should be split simply enough).

A shout rises among the brothers. 'Sirens are attacking; mount a defense!'

The sirens have a large assist radius and hit hard for the zone (a max ~18,500). They summon when damaged and cast routine mez spells. Mobs called "a brother defender" spawn along with them, and the two sides fight one another. You'll need to get four kill credits here (if NPCs are assisting you, you'll need to do at least 50% of the damage for credit).

Speak with Quigley Barnables 0/1 (Brother Island)

You say, 'Hail, Quigley Barnables'

Quigley Barnables crosses his arms and furrows his brow. 'It's a good start, but a day's worth of deliveries can't repay a sack of gold! You're going to be here a long time if you think menial labor is going to return Firiona and her companions to my good graces!' Quigley laughs. 'You better get some [sleep]; you're going to have a long day ahead of you!'

They spawn up in the NW corner of the water, and there you can pull them one or two at a time. On land is a disaster.

Tried to go by loc ..
Easier to say Seaweed (in water spawns) is between bloated shark and Captain Sedgethwait
1:berries
2: crab meat (Kill crabs By Captain Sedgethwait)
3: talk to Captain Sedgethwait
4: grab seaweed
5: kill shark

A linear model to PART OF LONG quest

Note I’m very surprised 😮 this expansion not all unlocked !! Well more then 3 zones!

My bet is that the ones in the water only spawn if there are a large number of people in the zone killing them. It is a feature they have added in the newer expansions to help deal with the busy times when an expansion has just been released.

All 3 "speak with" tasks can be done at same time.

Shark drops as many quest items as there are people in group needing it so one kill does the job. Fast respawn anyway...

Crabs drop between 0 and 5 meats. Interestingly, I had all 6 in my group needing the meats and I swear the drop rate plummeted gradually from 5 to 4 to 3 to 2 to 1 and even to 0 as group members filled their quest. I had my toons looting all they needed, but one toon at a time, until each had his goal of 5. By the time we had only 1 toon left needing meats we got a drop rate like this: 1 1 0 0 0 1 0 1 0 1. This clearly had to be programmed. The first 4 kills were more like 4 5 4 3 . I wonder if we had done it "round robin" maybe the code wouldn't have made such an adjustment... Smiley: eek

The advice to head out into the ocean to kill sirens is very good. You don't want to be handling multiples of this mob, especially if some are enchanter class. My tank was mezzed during most of the 4 fights. Fortunately, the mage pet tanked fine and enchanter mobs, like real enchanters, don't have a ton of HPs. Also fortunately these mob enchanters don't seem to have bought any of their rune spells. Smiley: lol

The items are able to be picked up as ground spawns. The locations below are correct and there are 2 at each spot that are close to each other. There's other ground spawns of the saltweed, and if you run around the island, you will see them near the water line. But just use the LOC listed and grab both. One is by the rock underwater and the other near it towards the shore. The "mush" is all over at the LOC given - maybe 10 of them laying around. Look like berries on leafs.

Mash Tuber its a ground spawn at -3986 -3531 looks like red berries on some green leaf

Saltweed is in the water by a rock at Location : -3051 -3374

Just my 2cp

He disappeared for two members of the group, for others he was visible. Relogging and he was also targetable and visible for the two guys. Strange bug.

The if the NPC's that are assisting are kill stealing your mobs, head straight out from the beach into the water, there are a dozen or so sirens to kill and get credit for without guards.

As Stated below best to fight them in the water. Used my 101 bard to cast mezz on them even though they didn't land -mezz split them real easy.

The location for Brother Saldar is wrong
He is located at the spot for sirens, as shown on map (west side of island)
more sirens than you can shake a stick at

Sure give us a skill of 50 Forage then expect us to set for hour to get 4 forage items, Stupid. Everyone should get 300 skill like druids and rangers if its part of a dam task.

You find the items as ground spawns not by the skill forage. Forage can also mean "to go look for" whatever you can find. =))

They were originally forage in the skill sense. After a short time and following a number of complaints similar to the parent post, forage was replaced by ground spawns.

They were ground spawns in beta. I really doubt they changed it to use the forage skill at any point.
