do you need all 4 pieces and the scabbard to combine them i have all but chardok and fear done so far and not sure if you need all 4 to combine or can i combine to get one sword or must i have all 4 pieces to do combine and get both?

You say, 'Hail, Kargek Redblade' Kargek Redblade looks up from his forge and says, 'Hello there, can I help you?' Your eyes are drawn to an extremely large red sword scabbard strapped to his back with no sword in it. Kargek speaks again, 'I said, can I help you or do you need help from Wenden?' You say, 'Tell me about that scabbard.' Kargek Redblade turns to look at you and says, 'It is a family heirloom. I might tell you the story behind it if you do me a little favor.' You say, 'What favor?' Kargek Redblade says 'An associate of mine is wandering somewhere in the Feerrott. His name is Oknoggin Stonesmacker. Take the book over to his brother in East Karana - Tenal Redblade, who is at the very end of the canyon next to the ramp to Highpass. You say, 'Hail, Tenal Redblade' Tenal Redblade says 'What brings you to my home, ______? Do you seek knowledge of Rallos Zek and the great wars to come?' Hand him the book. Tenal Redblade says 'So, you know my brother Kargek. He is weak and does not believe the legend that our family was chosen by Rallos Zek to bear the great scabbard. Yet he still holds it. Very well, I shall give you the first test since my 'dear' brother seems to have forgotten it. Travel to the fortress where the children of Rallos were first cursed by the Rathe and bring me the heart of one of the goblins who have made it their new home. Do not return without the heart of your foe and this war totem.' You gain experience!! You receive a Frozen War Totem. Go back to East Karana and hand Tenal the Totem of the Freezing War and a Heart of Frost. Tenal Redblade says 'Very good, you have wreaked havoc on your foes in the ancient land of the giants. Rallos Zek must have guided your blade.' Tenal's voice is suddenly silenced and you feel as if your body is frozen. From Tenal's lips issues a voice that is not his own, 'Bring this mortal the scales of the children of Veeshan. The red and green as well as my war totem. I will guide your blade.' Your movement returns as Tenal falls to the ground, gasping for breath.' You gain experience!! He'll give you a Totem of Fiery War. Now get yourself a Green and Red Dragonscale (from Severilous in Emerald Jungle, and Nagafen in Naggy's Lair respectively). Go back to Tenal Redblade and give him the Totem of Fiery War, the Green Dragon Scale and the Red Dragon Scale. Tenal Redblade looks at you oddly as you hand him the scales. 'What are..? You have done well, mortal, and you will be rewarded if you are truly brave. Travel to the Plane of Hatred and slay the ancient bard who lives there. Do not return without his hand and this mark or you will never be a true warlord.' Tenal drops to the ground as the last words leave his lips. You gain experience!! You receive The Mark of the Sword. You'll now need to go to the Plane of Hate and kill the Hand of the Maestro (note: Hand is now pullable without having to kill Maestro of Rancor). You need to loot the hand, which is a rare drop. Bring that back and give it to Tenal along with the mark. Tenal Redblade looks horrified as you give him the hand of the Maestro of Rancor and show him the mark of the sword. The godlike voice returns, 'You have done well to acquire this. One final task must be completed before you hold the red scabbard in your mortal hands.' Tenal reaches out and hands you a note. 'Take this note and a wingblade of the spiriocs to Kargek. When he receives them, I will speak to you one last time.' You receive Tenal`s note to Kargek. You now need a Spiroc Wingblade from the Spiroc Lord in the Plane of Sky. Take the Wingblade and the note to Kargek where he gives you the Red Scabbard and instructions on how to combine the Ancient Blade, Ancient Sword Blade, Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt, and Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt. Kargek Redblade says 'What is this? A note from my brother? Thank you for the gift as well.' Kargek reads the note and hands you the huge sword hilt. Your mind is filled with the sound of battle and a voice. 'Place the ancient sword blade, ancient blade, finely crafted dragon head hilt and the jeweled dragon head hilt into the scabbard to receive your rewards. If you think you are worthy, place your rewards into the scabbard and see what havoc you can unleash on the world. Kargek addresses you as you turn to leave. 'One more thing. Gartrog over there has told me of a great discovery. Seems there are all sorts of stones being found in the recently discovered lost dungeons scattered around Antonica. The Wayfarer's Brotherhood has found a way to make items even more powerful by using the stones with existing items.' You gain experience!! Ancient Sword Blade Talk to Denken Strongpick on Aviak Island in the Ocean of Tears. You say, 'Hail, Denken Strongpick' Denken Strongpick says 'Hello, ______. I am Denken Strongpick. I wish I could get off this rock, silly clan honor. My boss broke our rebreathers and we can not go back to the mainland before we gather some goblin relics.' You say, 'What goblin relics?' Denken Strongpick says 'There are supposedly goblin ruins around here somewhere. Fendlemend thinks we will find paydirt underwater. We did find one thing.' You say, 'What did you find?' Denken Strongpick says 'We found a very fine sword blade.' Denken pulls open his pack and shows you a razor sharp sword covered with runes. 'I can't figure out what type of metal it is and I sure can't figure out what technique was used to forge it. Perhaps you would like to take it off my hands and [buy] it?' You say, 'I will buy it.' Denken Strongpick says 'Out here, money is fairly useless to me. You see, I can't leave Fendlemend out here alone. I signed on with a very detailed contract. I could sure [use] a few things from the mainland though.' You say, 'What could you use?' Denken Strongpick says 'I would be willing to part with this very fine blade for; a keg of Vox tail ale, a block of permafrost to keep it cool and two new rebreathers to get this operation back underway.' a) A Keg of Vox Tail ale - bought from alot of vendors around the world. A good place to buy one is the sandfishers in North Ro or the Freeport Port Authority. b) A Block Of Permafrost - Dropped by Ice Giants. (while you're here, kill some goblin wizards until you find a frozen goblin heart -- you'll need it later). c) Two Rebreathers - Tinkered by Gnomes. Expect to drop as much as 4k for getting two rebreathers. Turn the Rebreathers, Keg of Vox Tail Ale, and the Block of Permafrost in to Denken: Denken Strongpick says 'Excellent! Here is your sword. I feel like I'm at home already!' You gain experience!! You get the Ancient Sword Blade. Ancient Blade The Ancient Blade is dropped by the Queen of Chardok. Bring along a large group of friends. Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt Head to the chessboard in Timorous Deep. At the base of the King piece you'll find a Severely Damaged Dragon Head Hilt. Head back to Wenden. You say, 'Hail, Wenden Blackhammer' Wenden Blackhammer says 'What do you need? Be specific, I'm busy right now!' You say, 'I have a Severely Damaged Dragon Head Hilt.' Wenden Blackhammer says 'Where in the world did you drag that up?!' Denken peers closely at the severely damaged dragon head hilt. 'This metal is the same material that some mages use to make powerful golems and this other metal looks like rejesiam ore. If you can find some of those materials, I can fix this hilt up easily.' You say, 'What kind of golems?' Wenden Blackhammer says 'That metal is used as the 'soul' of powerful magical constructions like golems. I do not know any place in this world where you could find a golem with a living center as powerful as this once was.' You say, 'What is rejesiam ore?' Wenden Blackhammer says 'Rejesiam ore is from the lands of Kunark. The mountain giants in the frontier mountains control the only known mine of this great ore. They have built a vast fortress around the mine to protect it. The giants don't particularly like to trade with us smaller folks, but there is one old miner named Mentrax Mountainbone who has traded with me in the past. Go find him and tell him Wenden sent you.' You'll also need a Ball of Everliving Golem. This drops from the named golems in the Plane of Fear: Fright, Dread and Terror. Since a march 2015 patch, you may also get it from a harbinger of Fear if the golems are not up. Now go to the Dreadlands, to the giant fort just west of Karnor's Castle. You need to kill the Mountain Giant Patriarch and loot a Giant Sized Monocle. Take the Monocle to Frontier Mountains. Get to the giant fort and get inside. When you get to the very end of the Mine you will see the giant named Mentrax Mountainbone. You say, 'Hail, Mentrax Mountainbone' Mentrax Mountainbone says 'What be it you want! Go away before I eat you for dinner!' You say, 'Wenden sent me.' Mentrax Mountainbone says 'Oh, old Wenden? I guess you be wanting some ore. Well, you can't have none! Not unless you get me a new monocle. No. No. No. Don't even try to talk, you either bring me a new monocle that will fit or no ore for you!' Hand him the Monocle. Mentrax Mountainbone says 'Eh, you actually found one! Thank you, ______. Here is a block of ore for you. Just don't let the other giants know.' You gain experience!! You receive Rejesiam Ore. Now run back to East Freeport with the Rejesiam Ore, Ball of Everliving Golem and Damaged Dragon Head Hilt. Give these to Wenden. Wenden Blackhammer begins to work and hammer away at the hilt pounding the new material into it. You can see the metal shifting and moving in ways you have never seen metal move before. Wenden wipes his brow as he hands you a fantastic looking hilt. You receive a Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt. Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt Head to Lake Rathe and pick up an Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt. It can be found on the lake floor at +2513, +920, underneath the aviak tower. Then head back to Wenden. You say, 'Hail, Wenden Blackhammer' Wenden Blackhammer says 'What do you need? Be specific, I'm busy right now!' You say, 'I have an Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt.' Wenden Blackhammer says 'That just looks like it's missing some gems. I'm not quite sure what type of gems either but I can tell you two things about them just by the settings. They were all different, and they all were very, very expensive. If I try to put the wrong kind of gems in these slots, it may be ruined forever. I'll do whatever you want, though, just bring me the three gems you want me to try and put in the hilt.' You'll need to get a Diamond, Black Sapphire, and Jacinth. They drop in various zones (Sebilis, Planes) and can almost always be found for sale in The Bazaar. Take the Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt, Diamond, Jacinth, and Black Sapphire to Wenden: Wenden Blackhammer begins to fiddle with the hilt, gently pressing the gems into place. It seems to take forever as you watch in silence. Wenden slowly places the last gem in place and gently bends the settings to hold the gems before he hands it back to you. 'That's a very impressive looking hilt there. The material it is made out of seems strangely familiar,' Wenden says as he turns back to his forge and his other work. You receive a Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt. Assembling the Sword As originally instructed, place the Ancient Sword Blade, Ancient Blade, Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt and the Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt into the Red Scabbard to receive your rewards. Combining the Jagged Blade of War in the Red Scabbard splits it into the Blade of Strategy and the Blade of Tactics. Combine the two blades in the Red Scabbard to get the two-handed version again. | |

yes u need to put the 4 pieces in order to get the swords, so even if u have 2 hilts and one sword, or one hilt and 2 swords, u can t make one sword. the red scabbard holds up to 4 items at same time, and those items are the 2 hilts and 2 blades.
it is 1 of the shortes but 1 of the haddrest it coffusing ?

I have a 64 Warr. was just wanting to know if there is any factions that i need to know about in order to do this quest??
What is the absolute lowest level you can start doing turn-ins (i.e. Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt)? I'd hate to turn in my first piece at 48 only to find that 50 or 51 is required. Thanks for any information.

Ok, I know his loc is supposed to be around neg 212, neg 562ish...something like that. However, he's no where to be found. Anyone know anything on this? Would be greatly appreciated.

I received the totem from Tenal Redblade today, but it was not called a Frozen War Totem. It was called Totem of the Freezing War.

HI, 58 warrior here with about half of my epic done ( i got one of the hilts complete and the other is 2/3 complete got one of the 2 blades and i got green scale + got a friend to MQ wingblade )and i was wondering if it would be worth it since we are starting to raid BoT towers constantly and we are starting to get into ST and gettin our SSRA keys ready for emp........I know there are better weapons but for me CHoS/SBoL vs. epics wich would be better? i know u can get the augs for anger III and that would be huge help for either one but i just want to know if i should complete them since my guild is raiding those areas thanx!!!
well comeing from a person who has raided as almost every "job class" in the game.. it all depends if you are Main Tank.. if you are then go for the 2 red epics.. if you arent you dont wanna be stealing agro from the Main tank.. that will mess everyone up.. either one is a good pick.. but i personaly would pick 2 red epics cuz not only does it look sweet as hell.. but their procs are ubar.. especialy with one auggied with anger 3.. but if you go on this.... if your raiding ssra keys and ST then you could easily take out Xanamech.. the PoI dragon who drops Cord Hilted SPike Driver.. agro proc which would determine agro holding VERY much.. but also before you aug a sword with anger aug find out which sword hits the most and has dex modifier.. if the sword procs more than usual then put the anger aug in that one.. just rule of thumb... hope that helps

You can have both red ones if you redo that portion of the epic. This is how. You complete the epic and then do the sub quest turn in to get the new aug version of the 3 swords. Then redo epic and don't do the turn in. Since they are lore but 2 diff swords one augmented one not you can equip them that way. I personally have not tried this but have seen a couple Warr on my server with them. Gotta remember to aug the first though so it has the aug tag.

There is no faction needed for the MQ for the wingblade. There is no faction needed for ANY of the warrior epic turn ins. Just make sure that your friend has the note he needs to turn in at the same time and give it to Kargek.

Well worth all the effort that I put into mine. And it was a lot of effort. Sure there are "better" weapons, but the warrior epic, like any other, is more than just dmg/dly or stats. It takes a certain amount of dedication that can't be bought with pp. And for those that MQ the hardest drops....you should know how it feels to weild this weapon honestly. Im not flamin' the pp whores....Well, I take that back. I guess I am too...hehe.
i agree, having an epic (although they arent also the greatest items, they are pretty good but you can buy better) is more fun because you actually accomplished something other than spending alot of money in the bazaar

Do just what it says at the very top of the quest text. Here it is:

Only problem with that is, they are LORE so you can't wield two of the same type...
Actually, you are wrong. He CAN wield two of them. However, you must do the ENTIRE epic twice. After completing it the first time, you do the "Augment the warrior epic quest" receiving the augmentable epics, which have different DB numbers than the regular epic.
Then you redo the whole epic, and equip your augmentable blue epic, and your unaugmentable blue epic.
Voila!
Of course, the irony of this is, the red blade is the hate proccing one, unless I'm really confused. That would mean that this guy did his epic twice, and is dual wielding a pair of the less desirable blade of the two.

I can't seem to Find the Unjeweled dragon hilt in Lake of the Rathe. Do I have to do something in particular to make it Spawn? Do I have to talk to the guys before it will Spawn? I've looked in the location several times, but it is never there
No you don't, it took me about 10 mins of swimming around the area to find it. Its looks like a bag, and it really hard to see unless you get near it.
It also could be that someone eles looted it before you got there, but keep it up and looking around the area, you'll find it soon. (Bring some friend to help you)

yeah. it only took me about 5 mins, and i continulally did location so i didnt wander. Its a good ways across the lake too.

way i found it was to run off the aviak tower swin down and the lake floor comes to a dip under you. its a little bag in the dip

After killing 14 or 15 FG yesterday on Karana server in Solb with a friend cleric , I didn t saw anything which can help me to have a green scale.

any one have information on how to MQ the hand of maestro or the spirocwingblade?? can it be MQed and how? if warrior does not have spiroc blade or hand does he have to turn in ***last*** to get the end MQ item in all MQ situations? cuz i heard that there is no specific order to turn in items is this true who ever turns in last is recipient of the reward????? any info on how to do MQ ....post plz
When doing a MQ, the person that hands in the last item to complete what the NPC is looking for gets the returned items. This can be dangerous if someone before you turned in an incomplete set of items.
So if someone else has the Hand or Spiroc Blade, have them hand it in first. Then you hand in the rest to complete that step of the quest.
And yes, those two pieces MQ'able for the warrior epic. In fact the only part that cannot be MQ'd is the Ancient Blade that is dropped by the Queen of Chardok.

He spawns in North Ro during the night, only talks to warriors as far as i know, wouldnt talk to a level 5 bard.
Hail him, and talk with him. He says something about being thristy, and needs some water. I gave him a water flask, and got a quest completion sound, but no exp. Heard that once you give him a red scale, he gives you a quest to complete.

has anyone been able to find verrell cogswin for the scale trade from red to green??? ive tracked POK, POT, EC, Efreeport, butcherblock, lavastorm, sol b half way, startin on naggys lair , etc.... no luck. Does anyone have the location: ? zone : ?
was told by a GM in game LDON is not required for this guy if that helps limit the zone searches for this guy. next area will be OOT, ej, and tt for verrell cogswin. post any info would help.

What lvl is it best to start ur warrior epic??

Just a note- with the upgrades available to the Epic piece (TY LDON) it is possible to make the warrior epic weapon even nicer- something that will be good until I hit level 60, about the time I will have the piece.
Epic II is now supposed to be more than a rumor, part of the "class" balancing for warriors and melee's over the casters, only time will tell.

Just so everyone knows the epic is exactly the same as it was before, they only made it into 3 seperate items, because otherwise you would not be able to augment the item. So you give the jagged blade of war and the red scabbard to the new npc and get back a new jagged blade of war as well as a blade of tactics and a blade of strategy different icons but stats are all the same.

Got it last night (Oct. 5, 2003) on TP server with help from my guild (Vicious Cycle), and a few non guildies/ex-VC !! Group of 17, avg level 58. Took about 4 hours. Also got pieces off the king and prince. Nice to get ahold of the only non-MQable war epic piece--good luck to all in pursuit of the true EPIC of all EPIC's--The Jagged Blade of War!

I Started at lvl 45. i got the easy running ones easily done. Got the blade and 1 hilt when i hit 47. Am now 57 and need spiroc wingblade. WOOT. Hardest epic in the game i think because of the fact that the Manaburn wizzys would just make a gorup of 5 and 1 druid for tracking and just kill anything of improtance. Lodi has been ksed from under me that way. i recently bought green dragon scale for 20k and red for 15 which i think are both great prices on the nameless. both usally 40 or so. But for anyone saying that the epics are a waste of time they are better then anything you can buy cept for blade of carnage. The red epic with proc of hate would still make a nice offhand with it. For me its the reward of finishing a hard quest. I am looking to buy a spiroc wingblade mq.

I just completed this for my 56 Ogre Warrior about a week ago.
About its proc:
It has tons of aggro, if it goes off 2 x in a row, I have aggro for the duration of the fight. Even if its resisted, it seems to pull aggro.
Also, The Blue blade (blade of Tactics) carries dex,attack, and AC. Which helps any other weapon you might want to use primary proc.
Although the quest is a bit outdated, and yes there are other weaps with better dmg delay ratio, Getting Epic is a pinnacle and achievment for every class, and Warrior epic is well worth the trouble. Even if you have blade of carnage primary, Red blade (strategy) makes a great compliment.

hey guys, alot of you think the warrior epic isnt worth it, it is, the red blade has a proc that does 100 dmg, plus gives you aggro, better then spending 350k on a BoC with 700 aggro
