Full Walkthrough

Step One: Obtain the Orb of Frozen Water

Shmendrik Lavawalker can be found at loc (+3600, 0) in Lake Rathetear. He has a spawn timer of three hours.

You say, 'Hail, Shmendrik Lavawalker.'

Shmendrik Lavawalker says 'Hail, good [your name here] !! Be wary near the waters of Lake Rathe! The Riptide goblin king, Lord Bergurgle has been commanding his minions to murder and rob all who come near it! I am here seeking his death but I am afraid I am no match for all of his subjects. I shall reward you greatly for the death of Lord Bergurgle. I simply ask that you bring me his crown as proof.'

Seek out Lord Bergurgle (loc 2800, 150 in underwater cave). He is a Cleric, and a rare spawn on a 28 minute PH spawn timer.

  • Kill him and loot Lord Bergurgle's Crown

  • Take the crown to Shmendrik Lavawalker

Shmendrik cannot be attacked until someone hands him Lord Bergurgle's Crown.

Only someone that has handed Lord Bergurgle's Crown to Shmendrik can loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from the spirit of flame.

Shmendrik Lavawalker shoves the crown into a scorch marked leather satchel and cackles uncontrollably as madness twists his features and flames dance in his eyes. You have reduced the Riptides into chaos! Without a king to keep them in control they will ravage the settlements surrounding this lake! After the slaughter I shall return and easily burn the remainder of the villages and fishing shanties to the ground! None shall escape the fires of the Tyrant!!'

  • You'll receive Oil of Fennin Ro in exchange for the crown

Natasha Whitewater spawns in a hut nearby and walks out.

Natasha Whitewater shouts, 'The Triumvirate of Water has decreed your fate, Shmendrik Lavawalker!! I am here to deliver said fate!!'

Shmendrik Lavawalker says, 'I'll slay you like I slaughtered your fellow missionaries! The Triumvirate can not decide the fate of a follower of the Tyrant!!'

Natasha Whitewater says, 'Enough!! Your existence has come to an end!'

Natasha Whitewater says, 'This conflict has been destined by the waters of the Triumvirate!'

Most of the time Natasha cannot be attacked. She can only be fought when she engages with Shmendrik.

  • Kill Shmendrik Lavawalker

Upon Shmendrik Lavawalker's death The Spirit of Flame spawns and attacks Natasha Whitewalker. It is a Warrior, and 40th level. It has no special attacks.

  • Kill the Spirit of Flame before it kills Natasha Whitewalker or else you'll have to get another crown to start this event again

Only someone that has handed Lord Bergurgle's Crown to Shmendrik can loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from the spirit of flame.

  • Loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from The Spirit Flame

    You say, 'Hail, Natasha Whitewater.'

Natasha Whitewater says 'The Riptide goblins must have their crown returned to them. If you would be so kind as to give me the crown I will make sure that it reaches them. Hopefully they are capable enough to repair the damage that has been done to it.'

  • Give her the Damaged Goblin Crown.

Natasha Whitewater says 'I will have this crown returned to the Riptide Goblins immediately! Should you ever come across an Erudite named Omat Vastsea, give him this sea shell. The waters of Norrath shimmer with awareness of your deeds here today!'

  • Receive an Ornate Sea Shell (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell I).

Head to the paradise area of Timorous Deep and find Omat Vastsea (loc -11565, -2235; cave entrance loc -11530, -3728).

    You say, 'Hail, Omat Vastsea.'

Omat Vastsea bows deeply. 'I have been expecting you. The waters have foretold your arrival. I am High Priest Omat Vastsea of the Triumvirate missionaries. Please feel free to enjoy the quiet solitude of this inn.'

You say, 'Who are the Triumvirate?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Triumvirate of Water are: E'ci, the mistress of ice; Tarew Marr, the lord of water; and Povar, the formless master of vapor and mist. We Triumvirate missionaries are granted great divinatory powers and wisdom through our devotion to the Triumvirate and must defend the waters of Norrath from the ravages of the Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro.'

You say, 'Who is Fennin Ro?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro, is the merciless lord of fire in all its forms. The rivalry between the tyrant and the Triumvirate is as old as the gods themselves and is an eternal battle. We witness the struggle every moment of our lives as the Oasis of Marr succumbs to the heat of the surrounding desert and is replenished by the swelling of the Lifire River. That fragile balance between the elements must be maintained but the Plasmatic Priesthood threatens that balance.'

You say, 'Who are the Plasmatic Priesthood?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Plasmatic Priesthood are worshipers of the Tyrant of Fire, but they have been driven mad by their fanaticism and have forgotten the importance of the balance. In their madness they would set the whole world aflame, leaving nothing but lifeless ash.'

  • Hand him the Ornate Sea Shell.

Omat Vastsea says 'So, you are a friend of Natasha's? That is good to see. She is a very wise and gifted woman. The Riptide goblins have adopted a new king but are still in a vulnerable state until his subjects accept his rule. The Plasmatic Priesthood is aware of the weakened state of the Riptides and has convinced the Fire Peak goblins to strike against them. Although I do not agree with the mannerisms or actions of any goblin clan, such a war would be detrimental to all who are caught in its path. Lord Gimblox of the Fire Peak clan has been meeting with a member of the Plasmatic Priesthood in the Temple of Solusek Ro. Locate the Plasmatic Priest, hand him this statue to hinder his powers, then eliminate him and bring me his robe.'

  • Receive Coral Statue of Tarew Marr.

You must now head to the Temple of Solusek Ro. Take the Coral Statue to a seeker. He can be found at loc (+326, +38, +29). He spawns at 9 A.M. and despawns at 9 P.M. game time.

  • Upon giving him the statue, he will attack.

A seeker shakes violently as his hand closes on the coral statue and flames dance in the depths of his eyes! The statue begins to emit a reddish glow then shatters in a burst of fire and smoke! The flames in the plasmatic priest's eyes vanish with the explosion and only madness remains! 'The Triumvirate thinks that destroying my spirit of flame will stop me?!! I will kill you all now, the goblins will continue to war, and when my spirit is restored I will ensure that Ixiblat Fer consumes all of Norrath in his flames!!'

A Seeker will now change into a Plasmatic Priest and start attacking you. He is a 55th level Cleric with about 12k hitpoints. It is recommended you bring him to the zone or pull him out in the hallway so that any AE spells he casts do not aggro other NPCs.

  • Kill him and loot the Blood Soaked Plasmatic Robe.

Now head to Solusek's Eye and kill Lord Gimblox, loc (-796, -366). He is 30th level and a rare spawn on a 19 minute timer with PH.

  • Kill him and loot Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring.

Head back to Timorous Deep and see Omat Vastsea.

  • Give Omat Vastsea the Blood Soaked Plasmatic Robe.

Only someone that has handed Blood Soaked Plasmatic Priest Robe to Omat will receive the Ornate Sea Shell II when handing Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring to Natasha.

Omat Vastsea says, 'You have proven yourself to be one who is willing to take responsibility for his own actions. Such a trait is desired by all deities to be present in their faithful. I pray that you had the wisdom to slay Lord Gimblox as well as the Plasmatic Priest in order to prevent further advancement in the incursion against the Riptides. Priestess Natasha awaits inside the inn for Lord Gimblox's ring, make haste for she is a busy women and will depart soon.'

  • Receive Orb of Frozen Water.

  • Step Two: Obtain the Orb of Clear Water

After giving Omat Vastea the Plasmatic Robe, Natasha Whitewater will have spawned nearby

  • Give her Lord Gimblox's Ring.

Natasha Whitewater says, 'Thank you for your services thus far. The Triumvirate missionaries are, so far, impressed. However, there is yet another threat rising from the Plasmatic Priesthood that may have dire effects on all of Norrath if it is not stopped. An Iksar member of the Triumvirate missionaries has discovered that the Plasmatic Priesthood has somehow convinced the sarnak summoners of Chardok to assit them in summoning Ixilblat Fer to Norrath. Take this shell to Naxton Deepwater in the Burning Woods so that she knows I have sent you. We ask that you return with the Sceptre of Ixiblat Fer as well as evidence to show that the Plasmatic Priesthood is dealing with sarnaks. High Priest Omat will await your return. I Must depart now. I pray for your success.'

  • Receive Ornate Sea Shell (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell II).

Only someone that has handed Blood Soaked Plasmatic Priest Robe to Omat will receive the Ornate Sea Shell II when handing Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring to Natasha.

You must take this Sea Shell to Naxot Deepwater in the Burning Woods, loc (+3400, -2150).

    You say, 'Hail, Naxot Deepwater.'

Naxot Deepwater says, 'Beware these woods! The sarnak claim this land as their own and wicked creatures walk beneath the burning foliage.'

  • Give him Ornate Sea Shell. (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell II)

    Upon hand in.

Naxot Deepwater says, 'Praise the Triumvirate! Natasha sent you just in time! Those twisted sarnak summoners are summoning Ixiblat Fer as we speak! We must stop Ixiblat Fer while he is still weak or all of Norrath may be set aflame! Please do me one more favor, should I perish to this beast of fire. Give this note to Natasha when you next see her, and if you should perish and I survive, I will make sure the waters never forget your reflections of your deeds this day.'

  • Receive Message to Natasha.

Ixiblat Fir spawns at loc (-2000, +1500). He is a 62nd level gigantic Fire Elemental, and hits for 575 damage with about 32000 hit points in total. He also casts an AE fire spell for 300.

  • Kill Ixiblat Fir and loot the Sceptre of Ixiblat Fir.

Only someone that has handed Sceptre of Ixiblat Fer and Singed Scroll to Omat will receive the Shimmering Pearl when handing A Message to Natasha to Natasha.

You're now due in Chardok and need to kill Overking Bathezid. He is located deep in Chardok in the royals area. He is 63rd level and takes about two good groups to kill. He casts an AE spell for 500 and gates.

  • Loot a Singed Scroll off his corpse

    It reads:
'Greetings Overking Bathezid. The time has come for you to return the boon owed to me from so long ago. I have need of your most powerful summoners to bring Ixiblat Fer into the mortal realm and rain fire upon my enemies. Your old friend, Zordak Ragefire.'

  • Take the Singed Scroll and Sceptre of Ixiblat Fir to Omat Vastsea.

Omat Vastsea says, 'I commend you on your success over the fire elemental lord, Ixiblat Fer. The fact that the Plasmatic Priesthood has mustered up the power to summon such a being means drastic actions must be taken to stop the fanatic cult of Fennin Ro. I wonder what kind of favor Zordak Ragefire performed for the sarnak summoners to convince them to assist in the ritual that brought forth Ixiblat Fer. The dragon Iksar hybrid abominations are not beings who ally with others easily. All I have seen in my divinations of the High Plasmatic Priest are riddles, and signs that the one who slays him may be awarded an Orb of the Triumvirate. If you are the one whom my visions foretell, then seek Zordak Ragefire and bring me his heart.'

  • Receive the Orb of Clear Water.

  • Step Three: Obtain the Orb of Vapor

After giving Omat Vastsea the Scroll and Sceptre, Natasha Whitewater will spawn nearby. Give her the Message to Natasha.

Natasha Whitewater lowers her head in mourning and whispers a prayer. It is a shame that fate has decided one so young and from such a background should perish, but we must not attempt to change what was destined to be. Priestess Naxot sacrificed herself selflessly so that others may be spared the horrors Ixiblat would have brought to Norrath. May the waters of Norrath forever remember her reflection. I thank you for delivering Naxot's message to me and give you this pearl imbued with the power of the Triumvirate. Should you find Zordak Ragefire, speak with him before all else then hold this pearl before him. When the pearl begins to swirl its enchantment will have taken effect.'

    You gain experience!!

  • Receive a Shimmering Pearl.

  • Head to Nagafen's Lair and go to the fire giant castle. Zordak Ragefire can be found outside the castle at -1380, -350.

    You say, 'Hail, Zordak Ragefire.'

Zordak Ragefire stares at you with unblinking eyes. A wide grin crosses Zordak's face and flames flicker in the depths of his eyes. 'Welcome to the new fortress of the Plasmatic Priesthood! It's a shame about Lord Nagafen's untimely death, really it is! Such a powerful and noble creature should not perish at the hands of mortals.'

  • Give him the Shimmering Pearl, and receive a Swirling Pearl and Zordak's Box of Bindings in return.

  • Head to the Skyfire Mountains and talk to Warder Cecilia loc (+3000, -3200).

    You say, 'Hail, Warder Cecilia.'

Warder Cecilia says 'Greetings, you have made excellent time. We received word that Zordak was gathering his power here, and we still have little knowledge of his true intentions. Scattered throughout these mountains there are small Pearlescent Shards, binding four of these shards together within a Box of Binding should allow me to create a Seal. This seal, when fused with a Swirling Pearl inside Zordak's heart should allow our seers to divine his true intentions, even after he has been slain. Once you have the seal I will release Zordak, make haste I will not be able to hold him for long.'

  • Combine these fragments in Zordak's Box of Bindings to create an Assembled Pearlescent Shard

  • Give this shard to Warder Cecilia in exchange for a Pearlescent Seal

This also spawns a human version of Zordak Ragefire. He'll attack and needs to be killed. Immediately upon his death, the dragon version, Zordakalicus Ragefire spawns.

  • Kill Zordakalicus Ragefire and loot the Impure Heart of Zordak Ragefire

  • Combine the Swirling Pearl and Pearlescent Seal inside this container to create Heart of Zordak Ragefire.

Head back to the Timorous Deep and give the heart to Omat Vastsea.

Omat Vastsea says, 'I see now that Zordak Ragefire and the exiled elder dragon Zordakalicus were the same being. That explains how he resisted our attempts to divine his affairs and past. Each of these orbs I have granted you represents one of the Triumvirate. Jhassad Oceanson awaits on the shore below to perform the ritual that will merge the orbs into a single Orb of the Triumvirate and summon an avatar from the Plane of Water. Present the Orb of the Triumvirate to the Avatar of Water when it arrives and allow your destiny to be unraveled.'

Omat Vastsea will summon Jhassad Oceanson if hailed by a character in possession of the Orb of Vapor. He will summon the Avatar of Water if the character has the Orb of the Triumvirate. But he will not summon either if one of them is already around.

  • Receive the Orb of Vapor.

  • Step Four: Obtain the Orb of the Triumvirate

After turning in Zordak Ragefire's Heart, Jhassad Oceanson spawns nearby.

  • Give him the Orb of Frozen Water, Orb of Clear Water, and Orb of Vapor.

Jhassad Oceanson kneels in the sand and places the three orbs into a large abalone shell bowl. A blue glow surrounds his hands as he waves them over the orbs resting in the bowl. The orbs crack and fall apart, releasing their contents, then reform into a single glowing orb. Jhassad Oceanson gently removes the Orb of the Triumvirate and places it in your hands. 'The Avatar of Water approaches. You must hand him the Orb of the Triumvirate and it will be decided if it is your destiny to wield the Nem Ankh Sprinkler.'

  • Receive Orb of the Triumvirate.

  • Step Five: Obtain the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh

Upon turning the three orbs into Jhassad Oceanson, the Avatar of Water will spawn and walk out of the lake. It does not respond to hails, so you may have to chase it down.

  • Hand in the Orb of the Triumvirate and receive the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh.

Congratulations to Kerania von Krieger, the first to wield the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh!

I have the second turn in for the Cleric 1.0 Epic, I got the note to give to Natasha Whitewater, but did not see her. I tried to create the spawn in Lake Rathetear, but no luck. While I was in Lake Rathetear another Cleric told me I must turn this into the Natasha W in Timorous Deep. If this is the case, how do I get her to respawn???

you will have to petition a GM to or start over. Just inform the GM she didn't spawn and should have NP cause once you turn in she spawns.

    OK,

    Look at this map.

    http://www.eqatlas.com/nagafenslairmap.html

The Zordak spawn point south of the lava flow, in the very southwest corner of the map. Its just north of room 17 on the map, near the half moon shaped part of the next room north.

There is a narrow ledge there, that is not shown on the map.

Also, note that the spot Zordak spawns at, is in aggro range of ALL the fire giants, so you either need to keep them clear, or to a real fast turnin, and try to outrun them to the zone.

I went looking for this ******* yesterday. EVERY MOB IN THERE SEES INVIS! THANKS ALOT SONY! As a cleric i dont recommend going in alone due to the fact that at lvl 65 the Fire Giants still resist alot. Kobolds and spiders go down no problems.Fire Giants require at least one tank type. Can be handled by ranger just make sure u can keep said ranger healed. If you cant find him make sure you took the tunnel that leads you through the stone spider cave not the one that drops you 1/2 way into fortress or youll have to fight your way back towards the SS cave. GL! hope this helpes someone.

Well, the point is that it's quite useful still to wield both epics. Look at warriors. back in the day, 14/24 w/ a 100 DD/500 hate proc was pretty good, but can you imagine a warrior dual wielding his epic 1.0 and one of his epic 2.0's?

Ragebringer... if you don't have a chanter or a SHM to haste, and you don't have a clickie haste or haste proc.

Cele Fists I don't know much about... have monks gotten their epic 2.0 yet?

Most of these people don't have an epic 1.0 that's useful anymore if you're in the kind of guild that can get you your epic 2.0, but until we get a rez better than our clickie stick, wielding both epic 1.0 and 2.0 is awesome.

Besides, I love the look on the lil' thing ;)

A cleric capable of getting the epic 1.5 or 2.0 is going to probably have a better primary slot item than the epic. My 1.0 stays in a bag, and only comes out for rezzing.

I started camping Lord Bergurgle when I was level 55 (Cleric) and I didn't get him to spawn until level 62. I just unlucky on the timeing, apparently, or Lord Bergurgle hates me.
There are 3 deepwater goblins that do spawn in the top of the underwater tower, but they all do not spawn at the same time. It is the center goblin that is the placeholder for Lord Bergurgle. It is easy to sit on the very top of the tower, look down into the room and pacify the two outer goblins and nuke the center goblin. Be warned, even pacified, they will cast Complete Heal on the one you are nuking. It is a good idea to stagger your kills on the goblins so that you have only one or two at a time to deal with, if your are soloing.
My first kill of Lord Bergurgle was not difficult, but I screwed myself when I accidently aggroed Natasha, and she killed the Spirit of Flame resulting in NO Damaged Crown dropped.(ok, so I had a Blonde Moment).
Back to camping Lord Bergurgle. Amazingly, he spawned 2 hours laters. After the crown turn in to Shemdrik, I backed off, and let Natasha easily kill Shemdrik. The Spirit of Flame spawned and I easily killed it, looted the Damaged Crown, and handed it to Natasha who had patienly waited for the battle to end. She gave me the Sea Shell and promptly went <Poof>.
When you do the Sea Shell turn in... don't take a swim in that oh so inviting little pond in the center of the island...

I also started this camp back in my 50's popping in every now and then to check on him. Last night I decided to try my first long camping of him. I ended up spending about 11 hours killing the PH, with no Lord spawn.
I was wondering if any classes other than clerics have gotten the Lord to spawn. I have a feeling I am going to be here a while, and was wondering if i could camp him with my mage and just MQ the crown after. May as well get some Exp while i am at it.

You need to loot 4 Pearlescent Fragments. They look like Pearls, are No Drop and weigh 6.0 stones. They drop off any mob in Skyfire Mts at a rate of about 1 in 50 or so. I got mine off Wyverns, Bottemless Feasters and Wurms.

To answer my own question.... Yes, the Lord Bergurgle drop CAN be MQ'd. I just did this yesterday for a cleric in my guild, for which she was very happy as this mob sucks to camp :)

Can the Lord Bergurgle drop be MQ'd? I would assume that it can as long as the cleric loots the item off the spirit of flame and hands it to Natasha.

I was correct in my last post assuming Lord Bergurgle was bugged. It was. We went back the next day AGAIN and lo and behold all the goblins (3) were in the top room of the tower. After camping this for 7 hours, we finally got LB, conning db to me (54 cleric), killed him and got his crown. Later that day, i enlisted the help of an enchanter to do the turn in to Shremdik. We went to the island he shows up on and turned in the crown. Waited about 2-3 minutes and natasha walks out of the house there and immediately begins to attack him. The enchanter with me mezzed her and I killed him. Very easily. Then the spirit of flame spawns. DB once again to me, but I killed him and was at 60% health when he died. I looted his damaged crown and the enchanter mind wiped Natasha. She of course started attacking the enchanter so you have to be quick and give her the damaged crown and poof she goes away leaving you with the next item. Then I went directly to Omat in Timorous Deep. He is a little hard to locate at first, did that turn in and recieved the oil of fenin ro. Next step.. kill the seeker and plasmatic priest..... Im getting there slowly but surely.
    LB bugged?
    # Jul 01 2004 at 12:12 PM Rating: Decent
I am really hoping someone can help me out on this....

We have gone to camp LB at the top room of the tower wher Deep is. First of all, is this the right room? Secondly.... everything I have read has stated 3 goblins spawn there. I have only seen one at a time no more than 5-6 minutes apart. One of them spawns and is light blue while the rest are green. I am under the impression all 3 are supposed to be in the room at once and you take them out one at a time, am correct or is it only one at a time. I am under a major impression that the quest is bugged possibly by someone taking too much damage and zoning, or the mob getting away, a very easy thing to happen. I have already done a /petition and a /bug and its still not fixed. Please someone post on the goblins location, spawn time and how many are supposed to be there and when. Is it all 3 at once or one at a time. Please help!!! I just want to get on with my life in EQ. LOL If it is bugged, how do I get it to reset? Can it be reset by killing Shremdik? Someone please post if you have done this for yourself or in a group of friends/guildies. Thank you in advance.

Ok one more question.... If we kill Shremdik ourselves to avoid Natasha killing him, do we do that before the turn in LB's Crown (providing it ever spawns), loot the damaged crown and wait for respawn of Shremdik and backtrack by then giving him LB's crown and then the damaged crown to Natasha directly after that? That part is a little fuzzy in the posts.
    RE: LB bugged?
    # Jul 04 2004 at 5:24 PM Rating: Good
and for the turn in stuff, if you kill him before, you get the damaged crown. so if natasha kill steals, you dont have to start all over again, you directly give the damaged crown to her. the only reason of the golin loot one is to spawn her.

but his spawn timer is 3 hours, so after killing and looting the damaged crown, you should wait for 3 hours for his spawn to hand in the goblin loot crown. As it usually takes much more than 3 hours to get the crown from the king, killing him beforehand and getting damaged one wont be a problem. he will be probably up when you get your loot from the king.

sometimes the middle goblin, which is the ph for the king, spawns at the cealing of the cave, high above its spawning point. this rarely occurs, but it still does. another possibility is somebody trained it to outside of cave, and it got stuck there, cant get in back to the cave. i myself have not witnessed such a stuck before, so cant be sure if that is really possible. but ceiling spawn is.

if the mob is not spawning there for a long time, it gets fixed after a patch day, because of server restart.

Tanvarine, I have for the past two days now been having problems with this LB spawn. Everything I have read as well as info I have gotten from others and past experience from helping other clerics there has been three gobs that spawn in the top of the tower. The center one is the PH for LB. The problem I am having is only two are spawning and the PH is not. The petition was a waste of time. I just did a bug report today but there is no telling how long before they get around to checking it out. I am on the MT server.

You can kill Shremdik and then kill the flame and loot the dmg crown. That way you have it and if something goes wrong with the turn in of LB crown then you will have to dmg crown to turn in to Natasha. She doesn't spawn unless you turn in the LB Crown.

You only need to kill the goblin that spawns every 30 minutes. Just sit on top of the tower to avoid agroing the 6 minute goblins.

The priest does not have 3500hp but more like 15k. Had a 65 Wizzard and myself (58 Cleric) take him out and after fight we checked out the amount of damage we did to him. He never did cast any AE spells but did walk out of the room when he got down to 15%. The info in Allakhazam also said the spawn time for the male seeker was from 9am to 9pm but he spawned for us at 7am. No idea what the de-spawn time is since I won't be there for that. :)

After about 5 hrs of camping...we thought of something...

Has anyone noticed that no matter in what order you kill the goblins at the base of the water tower...the one on the south east corner always spawns first?

So, we decided to leave the one on the south east corner up. We continued to kill the others until the middle upper goblin spawned. It was Lord Bergurgle.

I say it was just luck and our time to get the guy, but if anyone wants to experiement and see if there is a connection, please do.

Ok, doing this with my cleric now after helping so many others in the last few years you would think I could remember all of the new parts, but I don't.
The quest here is not updated and has been changed for a very long time. Is there another place the updated version is listed or can you please update this one?
    Thank you!
edit: nvm I found the Cleric's Forum

the quest there is complete with the shard info and very simple.

    update?
    # Mar 18 2004 at 3:14 AM Rating: Decent
In the update, it does not include the Pearlescent Fragments that were listed in the previous walkthrough. The old part has Zordak dropping a "Swirling pearl" and "Zordak's Box of Bindings" . The box is used to combine the shards, to get the "Seal" from Warder Cecilia. This seal supposedly spawns Ragefire. When Ragefire's dragon form is dead he drops an "Impure Heart of Zordak Ragefire", that is supposed to be combined with the "Swirling Pearl" and the "Seal," to produce "Zordak Ragefire's Heart." In the update, when Zordak's dragon form is killed he drops the "Zordak Ragefire Heart," thus removing the shards from the quest.
Has this part been removed? Has anyone tried to complete the quest without doing the shard part? I collected my shards before finding the updated version. I'm getting close to killing Zordak and would like to know.

    Thanks,

    RE: update? Cleric EPIC
    # Apr 12 2004 at 2:55 PM Rating: Decent
Normally this isn't something I'd do. But, well, I'm going to outline the changes we're making to this quest in rather close detail. But first, let me try to explain the concern that players had with this quest.
With arguably the most popular Epic Quest item, the Cleric trying to gain his Epic item usually finds plenty of people to help in the process. Clerics are commonly the first in line with guilds to help with their epic quests. So Clerics tend to get further in their epic quest faster than many others. This has lead to a very nasty 'bottleneck' for Clerics trying to complete the quest. The Ragefire portion of the quest has been creating a lot of static among players.

So we have decided to make a change to the end portion of this quest. To reduce confusion and to help people understand why we're making this change, I'm going to give out a few specific details. These changes will go Live with the patch tonight.

For those that are not interested in quest details, consider the rest of this post SPOILER INFORMATION:

First, the 'merchant' version of Zordak will now appear at a different location in SoldungB. He will appear once each day (except after a server comes down, then he will spawn in one to three days). The appearance of this NPC will no longer require the absence of Lord Nagafen.

The cleric still turns in his Shimmering Pearl to Zordak. But now the merchant Zordak will return a Swirling Pearl to the Cleric and disappear.

At that point the Cleric will need to head out and look for him. A killable version of Zordak will appear independent of the pearl turn-in every few days (except after a server goes down, then he will appear a little faster). Killing Zordak will transform him into dragon form, and the Cleric (with help…) must kill him immediately.

The new dragon Zordak will drop a heart that is a container that requires the Swirling Pearl to be combined in it to create the Heart that is turned in to Omat.

The rest of the quest remains the same.

The goal of these changes is to reduce the problems with the bottleneck that existed before. They will not remove that bottleneck, but hopefully will remove the nasty competition for a single spawn with so many people willing to be… rude to each other.

What updated version? you mean the really old version posted here, from before Ragefire was made spawnable?

You need the shards, but believe me, be thankful! Collecting shards is a TON easier than trying to get the old ragefire camp!!!!!

Yes I have 2 versions of this walkthrough the really old on that was before the dragon was spawned by killing the human, and the version linked at the top of the page. In that version, it says nothing about the shards, where do they fit it if I still need them?

This can be easily accomplished by giving him the DROPPABLE robe from the plasmatic priest. From there it's a string of MQable turn ins. I'm fairly sure that some of the NPCs will -only- talk to a cleric, so it -must- be a cleric providing the MQ, but it's conceivable for you to do the epic twice, tossing the robe to the other cleric and dragging him along for turnins and turnins only, and having him receive his epic.
