Full Walkthrough

Step One: Obtain the Orb of Frozen Water

Shmendrik Lavawalker can be found at loc (+3600, 0) in Lake Rathetear. He has a spawn timer of three hours.

You say, 'Hail, Shmendrik Lavawalker.'

Shmendrik Lavawalker says 'Hail, good [your name here] !! Be wary near the waters of Lake Rathe! The Riptide goblin king, Lord Bergurgle has been commanding his minions to murder and rob all who come near it! I am here seeking his death but I am afraid I am no match for all of his subjects. I shall reward you greatly for the death of Lord Bergurgle. I simply ask that you bring me his crown as proof.'

Seek out Lord Bergurgle (loc 2800, 150 in underwater cave). He is a Cleric, and a rare spawn on a 28 minute PH spawn timer.

  • Kill him and loot Lord Bergurgle's Crown

  • Take the crown to Shmendrik Lavawalker

Shmendrik cannot be attacked until someone hands him Lord Bergurgle's Crown.

Only someone that has handed Lord Bergurgle's Crown to Shmendrik can loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from the spirit of flame.

Shmendrik Lavawalker shoves the crown into a scorch marked leather satchel and cackles uncontrollably as madness twists his features and flames dance in his eyes. You have reduced the Riptides into chaos! Without a king to keep them in control they will ravage the settlements surrounding this lake! After the slaughter I shall return and easily burn the remainder of the villages and fishing shanties to the ground! None shall escape the fires of the Tyrant!!'

  • You'll receive Oil of Fennin Ro in exchange for the crown

Natasha Whitewater spawns in a hut nearby and walks out.

Natasha Whitewater shouts, 'The Triumvirate of Water has decreed your fate, Shmendrik Lavawalker!! I am here to deliver said fate!!'

Shmendrik Lavawalker says, 'I'll slay you like I slaughtered your fellow missionaries! The Triumvirate can not decide the fate of a follower of the Tyrant!!'

Natasha Whitewater says, 'Enough!! Your existence has come to an end!'

Natasha Whitewater says, 'This conflict has been destined by the waters of the Triumvirate!'

Most of the time Natasha cannot be attacked. She can only be fought when she engages with Shmendrik.

  • Kill Shmendrik Lavawalker

Upon Shmendrik Lavawalker's death The Spirit of Flame spawns and attacks Natasha Whitewalker. It is a Warrior, and 40th level. It has no special attacks.

  • Kill the Spirit of Flame before it kills Natasha Whitewalker or else you'll have to get another crown to start this event again

Only someone that has handed Lord Bergurgle's Crown to Shmendrik can loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from the spirit of flame.

  • Loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from The Spirit Flame

    You say, 'Hail, Natasha Whitewater.'

Natasha Whitewater says 'The Riptide goblins must have their crown returned to them. If you would be so kind as to give me the crown I will make sure that it reaches them. Hopefully they are capable enough to repair the damage that has been done to it.'

  • Give her the Damaged Goblin Crown.

Natasha Whitewater says 'I will have this crown returned to the Riptide Goblins immediately! Should you ever come across an Erudite named Omat Vastsea, give him this sea shell. The waters of Norrath shimmer with awareness of your deeds here today!'

  • Receive an Ornate Sea Shell (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell I).

Head to the paradise area of Timorous Deep and find Omat Vastsea (loc -11565, -2235; cave entrance loc -11530, -3728).

    You say, 'Hail, Omat Vastsea.'

Omat Vastsea bows deeply. 'I have been expecting you. The waters have foretold your arrival. I am High Priest Omat Vastsea of the Triumvirate missionaries. Please feel free to enjoy the quiet solitude of this inn.'

You say, 'Who are the Triumvirate?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Triumvirate of Water are: E'ci, the mistress of ice; Tarew Marr, the lord of water; and Povar, the formless master of vapor and mist. We Triumvirate missionaries are granted great divinatory powers and wisdom through our devotion to the Triumvirate and must defend the waters of Norrath from the ravages of the Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro.'

You say, 'Who is Fennin Ro?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro, is the merciless lord of fire in all its forms. The rivalry between the tyrant and the Triumvirate is as old as the gods themselves and is an eternal battle. We witness the struggle every moment of our lives as the Oasis of Marr succumbs to the heat of the surrounding desert and is replenished by the swelling of the Lifire River. That fragile balance between the elements must be maintained but the Plasmatic Priesthood threatens that balance.'

You say, 'Who are the Plasmatic Priesthood?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Plasmatic Priesthood are worshipers of the Tyrant of Fire, but they have been driven mad by their fanaticism and have forgotten the importance of the balance. In their madness they would set the whole world aflame, leaving nothing but lifeless ash.'

  • Hand him the Ornate Sea Shell.

Omat Vastsea says 'So, you are a friend of Natasha's? That is good to see. She is a very wise and gifted woman. The Riptide goblins have adopted a new king but are still in a vulnerable state until his subjects accept his rule. The Plasmatic Priesthood is aware of the weakened state of the Riptides and has convinced the Fire Peak goblins to strike against them. Although I do not agree with the mannerisms or actions of any goblin clan, such a war would be detrimental to all who are caught in its path. Lord Gimblox of the Fire Peak clan has been meeting with a member of the Plasmatic Priesthood in the Temple of Solusek Ro. Locate the Plasmatic Priest, hand him this statue to hinder his powers, then eliminate him and bring me his robe.'

  • Receive Coral Statue of Tarew Marr.

You must now head to the Temple of Solusek Ro. Take the Coral Statue to a seeker. He can be found at loc (+326, +38, +29). He spawns at 9 A.M. and despawns at 9 P.M. game time.

  • Upon giving him the statue, he will attack.

A seeker shakes violently as his hand closes on the coral statue and flames dance in the depths of his eyes! The statue begins to emit a reddish glow then shatters in a burst of fire and smoke! The flames in the plasmatic priest's eyes vanish with the explosion and only madness remains! 'The Triumvirate thinks that destroying my spirit of flame will stop me?!! I will kill you all now, the goblins will continue to war, and when my spirit is restored I will ensure that Ixiblat Fer consumes all of Norrath in his flames!!'

A Seeker will now change into a Plasmatic Priest and start attacking you. He is a 55th level Cleric with about 12k hitpoints. It is recommended you bring him to the zone or pull him out in the hallway so that any AE spells he casts do not aggro other NPCs.

  • Kill him and loot the Blood Soaked Plasmatic Robe.

Now head to Solusek's Eye and kill Lord Gimblox, loc (-796, -366). He is 30th level and a rare spawn on a 19 minute timer with PH.

  • Kill him and loot Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring.

Head back to Timorous Deep and see Omat Vastsea.

  • Give Omat Vastsea the Blood Soaked Plasmatic Robe.

Only someone that has handed Blood Soaked Plasmatic Priest Robe to Omat will receive the Ornate Sea Shell II when handing Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring to Natasha.

Omat Vastsea says, 'You have proven yourself to be one who is willing to take responsibility for his own actions. Such a trait is desired by all deities to be present in their faithful. I pray that you had the wisdom to slay Lord Gimblox as well as the Plasmatic Priest in order to prevent further advancement in the incursion against the Riptides. Priestess Natasha awaits inside the inn for Lord Gimblox's ring, make haste for she is a busy women and will depart soon.'

  • Receive Orb of Frozen Water.

  • Step Two: Obtain the Orb of Clear Water

After giving Omat Vastea the Plasmatic Robe, Natasha Whitewater will have spawned nearby

  • Give her Lord Gimblox's Ring.

Natasha Whitewater says, 'Thank you for your services thus far. The Triumvirate missionaries are, so far, impressed. However, there is yet another threat rising from the Plasmatic Priesthood that may have dire effects on all of Norrath if it is not stopped. An Iksar member of the Triumvirate missionaries has discovered that the Plasmatic Priesthood has somehow convinced the sarnak summoners of Chardok to assit them in summoning Ixilblat Fer to Norrath. Take this shell to Naxton Deepwater in the Burning Woods so that she knows I have sent you. We ask that you return with the Sceptre of Ixiblat Fer as well as evidence to show that the Plasmatic Priesthood is dealing with sarnaks. High Priest Omat will await your return. I Must depart now. I pray for your success.'

  • Receive Ornate Sea Shell (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell II).

Only someone that has handed Blood Soaked Plasmatic Priest Robe to Omat will receive the Ornate Sea Shell II when handing Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring to Natasha.

You must take this Sea Shell to Naxot Deepwater in the Burning Woods, loc (+3400, -2150).

    You say, 'Hail, Naxot Deepwater.'

Naxot Deepwater says, 'Beware these woods! The sarnak claim this land as their own and wicked creatures walk beneath the burning foliage.'

  • Give him Ornate Sea Shell. (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell II)

    Upon hand in.

Naxot Deepwater says, 'Praise the Triumvirate! Natasha sent you just in time! Those twisted sarnak summoners are summoning Ixiblat Fer as we speak! We must stop Ixiblat Fer while he is still weak or all of Norrath may be set aflame! Please do me one more favor, should I perish to this beast of fire. Give this note to Natasha when you next see her, and if you should perish and I survive, I will make sure the waters never forget your reflections of your deeds this day.'

  • Receive Message to Natasha.

Ixiblat Fir spawns at loc (-2000, +1500). He is a 62nd level gigantic Fire Elemental, and hits for 575 damage with about 32000 hit points in total. He also casts an AE fire spell for 300.

  • Kill Ixiblat Fir and loot the Sceptre of Ixiblat Fir.

Only someone that has handed Sceptre of Ixiblat Fer and Singed Scroll to Omat will receive the Shimmering Pearl when handing A Message to Natasha to Natasha.

You're now due in Chardok and need to kill Overking Bathezid. He is located deep in Chardok in the royals area. He is 63rd level and takes about two good groups to kill. He casts an AE spell for 500 and gates.

  • Loot a Singed Scroll off his corpse

    It reads:
'Greetings Overking Bathezid. The time has come for you to return the boon owed to me from so long ago. I have need of your most powerful summoners to bring Ixiblat Fer into the mortal realm and rain fire upon my enemies. Your old friend, Zordak Ragefire.'

  • Take the Singed Scroll and Sceptre of Ixiblat Fir to Omat Vastsea.

Omat Vastsea says, 'I commend you on your success over the fire elemental lord, Ixiblat Fer. The fact that the Plasmatic Priesthood has mustered up the power to summon such a being means drastic actions must be taken to stop the fanatic cult of Fennin Ro. I wonder what kind of favor Zordak Ragefire performed for the sarnak summoners to convince them to assist in the ritual that brought forth Ixiblat Fer. The dragon Iksar hybrid abominations are not beings who ally with others easily. All I have seen in my divinations of the High Plasmatic Priest are riddles, and signs that the one who slays him may be awarded an Orb of the Triumvirate. If you are the one whom my visions foretell, then seek Zordak Ragefire and bring me his heart.'

  • Receive the Orb of Clear Water.

  • Step Three: Obtain the Orb of Vapor

After giving Omat Vastsea the Scroll and Sceptre, Natasha Whitewater will spawn nearby. Give her the Message to Natasha.

Natasha Whitewater lowers her head in mourning and whispers a prayer. It is a shame that fate has decided one so young and from such a background should perish, but we must not attempt to change what was destined to be. Priestess Naxot sacrificed herself selflessly so that others may be spared the horrors Ixiblat would have brought to Norrath. May the waters of Norrath forever remember her reflection. I thank you for delivering Naxot's message to me and give you this pearl imbued with the power of the Triumvirate. Should you find Zordak Ragefire, speak with him before all else then hold this pearl before him. When the pearl begins to swirl its enchantment will have taken effect.'

    You gain experience!!

  • Receive a Shimmering Pearl.

  • Head to Nagafen's Lair and go to the fire giant castle. Zordak Ragefire can be found outside the castle at -1380, -350.

    You say, 'Hail, Zordak Ragefire.'

Zordak Ragefire stares at you with unblinking eyes. A wide grin crosses Zordak's face and flames flicker in the depths of his eyes. 'Welcome to the new fortress of the Plasmatic Priesthood! It's a shame about Lord Nagafen's untimely death, really it is! Such a powerful and noble creature should not perish at the hands of mortals.'

  • Give him the Shimmering Pearl, and receive a Swirling Pearl and Zordak's Box of Bindings in return.

  • Head to the Skyfire Mountains and talk to Warder Cecilia loc (+3000, -3200).

    You say, 'Hail, Warder Cecilia.'

Warder Cecilia says 'Greetings, you have made excellent time. We received word that Zordak was gathering his power here, and we still have little knowledge of his true intentions. Scattered throughout these mountains there are small Pearlescent Shards, binding four of these shards together within a Box of Binding should allow me to create a Seal. This seal, when fused with a Swirling Pearl inside Zordak's heart should allow our seers to divine his true intentions, even after he has been slain. Once you have the seal I will release Zordak, make haste I will not be able to hold him for long.'

  • Combine these fragments in Zordak's Box of Bindings to create an Assembled Pearlescent Shard

  • Give this shard to Warder Cecilia in exchange for a Pearlescent Seal

This also spawns a human version of Zordak Ragefire. He'll attack and needs to be killed. Immediately upon his death, the dragon version, Zordakalicus Ragefire spawns.

  • Kill Zordakalicus Ragefire and loot the Impure Heart of Zordak Ragefire

  • Combine the Swirling Pearl and Pearlescent Seal inside this container to create Heart of Zordak Ragefire.

Head back to the Timorous Deep and give the heart to Omat Vastsea.

Omat Vastsea says, 'I see now that Zordak Ragefire and the exiled elder dragon Zordakalicus were the same being. That explains how he resisted our attempts to divine his affairs and past. Each of these orbs I have granted you represents one of the Triumvirate. Jhassad Oceanson awaits on the shore below to perform the ritual that will merge the orbs into a single Orb of the Triumvirate and summon an avatar from the Plane of Water. Present the Orb of the Triumvirate to the Avatar of Water when it arrives and allow your destiny to be unraveled.'

Omat Vastsea will summon Jhassad Oceanson if hailed by a character in possession of the Orb of Vapor. He will summon the Avatar of Water if the character has the Orb of the Triumvirate. But he will not summon either if one of them is already around.

  • Receive the Orb of Vapor.

  • Step Four: Obtain the Orb of the Triumvirate

After turning in Zordak Ragefire's Heart, Jhassad Oceanson spawns nearby.

  • Give him the Orb of Frozen Water, Orb of Clear Water, and Orb of Vapor.

Jhassad Oceanson kneels in the sand and places the three orbs into a large abalone shell bowl. A blue glow surrounds his hands as he waves them over the orbs resting in the bowl. The orbs crack and fall apart, releasing their contents, then reform into a single glowing orb. Jhassad Oceanson gently removes the Orb of the Triumvirate and places it in your hands. 'The Avatar of Water approaches. You must hand him the Orb of the Triumvirate and it will be decided if it is your destiny to wield the Nem Ankh Sprinkler.'

  • Receive Orb of the Triumvirate.

  • Step Five: Obtain the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh

Upon turning the three orbs into Jhassad Oceanson, the Avatar of Water will spawn and walk out of the lake. It does not respond to hails, so you may have to chase it down.

  • Hand in the Orb of the Triumvirate and receive the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh.

Congratulations to Kerania von Krieger, the first to wield the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh!

As of yesterday, 4/1/08, this was still MQable. Also, curse you Lord Gimblox! Took 36 hours over 4 days to get him to show his ugly mug... less than 10 seconds to beat him into oblivion. Now, if The Fabled Talendor would just stop killing me and my druid so I could get those stupid pearl thingies...

Just did this for my GF's cleric today. Start to finish was under 15 hours without MQ's... I know we got exceedingly lucky on quite a few spawns, but it can be done.

Confirmation of MQ able Singed Scroll
    # Jan 24 2008 at 12:25 AM Rating: Decent
I can confirm that the singed scroll is still MQ able as of today. When we went to kill the king my guild sent a mini raid with me..lol a bit of overkill on our part...the raid was so anxious to get in and kill that the King was dead before my cleric even got to the zone. So a friend looted the scroll so it wouldn't rot before I could get there. The two of us then proceeded to Timorous deep where she handed in the scroll first and I handed in the sceptre second. I received the orb. Now I just have all those blasted shards to collect and Ragefire to finish and we are home free...Just in passing Lord Burgle spawned 2 times for me in a four hour period...I too let Natasha get the kill shot on the first fire spirit and had to do over. Lord Gimblax was perhaps the easiest though as I made it to his camp late last nite and after two spawnings of PH decided to camp out my lvl 80 enchanter and my lvl 41 cleric there for the night. First thing when I logged in this morning there was Lord Gimblax staring me in the face. Enchanter made short work of him and his friends and we were off to turn in for the first orb. So far this has actually beeen quite a lot of fun...Nothing like the Pain that the Enchanter 1.0 was...lol. Good luck to all who are doing this.

I can today confirm that after obtaining the orb for the final hand in at lvl 4
the AoW wouldnt take it from me,I leveled up to Lvl 42 and rehailed Omat who repoped the AoW and this time he handed me the Water Sprinkler.

So you can do it at at least level 42.

    Hope this helps.

Was given mixed messages as to what lvl a cleric could do this. Heard can do any lvl but AoW eats the final orb, or that you cant get final orb etc. So took my lvl 14 cleric and my mage and did the epic. Managed to lvl her to 18 while doing it.

So at lvl 18 on OCT 27, 2007 I can confirm without MQ I could do all turn ins up to AoW. AoW just says he does not need this item, I tried first to do it without hailing as was suggested. Then I tried to hail first.

Now I have the final orb and must lvl to obtain my epic. I hope that ppl are right that I just need to hail omat to get AoW to spawn again.

Was a fun adventure for me even if I have to redo someday, and amazingly my little cleric did not die once during all this...hehe

Same thing happened to me just now. After killing the FGs just for s***ts and giggles, I jumped out the window down to Zordak, gave him the shimmering pearl, and got both the swirling pearl and the box of bindings. I already had four fragments, so I combined them in the box right there. You're right, it just does away with the first hail to Cecilia.

Followup: I just hailed Cecelia and got another box, giving myself some peace of mind knowing that if I botch Ragefire, I can just collect four more fragments. I heard this was true, but had to see for myself.

I am so angry right now.

TWICE... TWO TIMES I've done the camp for Lord Burgurgle for the crown, spawned the spirit of flame and BOTH TIMES Natasha Whitewater has gotten the killshot and the spirit of flame's corpse goes poof instantly.

No damaged crown... another 14+ hour camp if I want this epic.

    This is ridiculous.

A helpful hint to avoiding the NPC getting the kill shot.

Myself (SK) and cleric went for turn in to Shmendrik.

1 - Hail Shmendrik and give him Lord Bergurgles corwn. He will give you the Oil of Fennin Ro and Natasha Whitewater spawns (though Just spawns - does not attack yet).

2 - Cleric Goes back to hut where Natasha is and Roots her.

3 - Return to Shmendrik and attack and kill him. After her dies he will respawn into the Spirit of Flame (this is when Natasha would normally attack - but you've rooted her)

4 - Kill Spirit of Flame at your leisure and loot the damaged goblin crown.

    Interesting part

5 - Since you rooted Natasha, shes mad at you now - though all you need to do is lose aggro. I (the SK) FD'd and the Cleric zoned out (gating would work too, though would be a longer run back depending on where you are bound). After cleric zoned out I stood up to test the agro and Natasha didn't move. I proceed to hail her and she bowed and greeted me. Cleric Came back and hail Natasha with the same response and give her the Damaged Goblin Crown and receive the Sea Shell.

It may be a little involved, but it works as of Dec 31, 2007 - And it guarantees you won't lose the kill shot and need to go back and re-camp Lord Bergurgle.

Take a couple of tough friends with you (mid 50's or higher, with good DPS). Instruct them to kill Shmendrik and the spirit of flame that pops upon his death with good haste when you tell them to.

Hand in the Crown and an Oil of Fennin Ro will appear in your inventory.

Say "KILL" and watch Shmendrik and his pop both go down fast. Natasha doesn't even get out of the cottage, and you loot the damaged crown off the now deceased spirit of flame.

THEN ... you have to deal with the Seeker in the Temple of Solusek Ro, and his Plasmatic Priest spawn, for which some assistance will also be needed.

There are a number of places in this Epic where you just can't solo it as a cleric, unless you are very high level, and I don't think this is an accident. Do the bits you can do by yourself solo, and reach out for help for the others (unless you have a high level boxed, in which case you wouldn't be worried about all this in the first place). Lots of trouble spots are highlighted in earlier posts.

Good luck. My 57 Cleric is working on this epic now.

So yeah .. this was 1 helluva ride ! not to much sleep .. but got er done in bout 30 hours start to finish.
did everything with a druid , every last step soloed by meh druid , i asked for help for the overking bit but no one wanted to help ..so i had a plan .. kill cleric drag him as close to locked door as possible , then have him run back undershroud and pick the lock for me and i drag corpse thru and rezz him on other side after he drops shroud ..well ...no need $$$ /pet attack works wonders , throw aa thorns and fernspur on pet and by the time they kill him (direwild as well obviously) the mobs have taken enough damage that they summon you instantly . then allow yourself to take alot of damage by taking off your ds so the mobs dont die and just letting them beat on you , ae root the lot of em and cast ch with the cleric , pow he gets summoned to and you ae the lot of em and move on to next door. things didnt go as planned at overking .. cleric got 1shotted .. druid got blinded .. and i had like 10 mobs on me lawl ... ae mitigation/ds spells ftw !!! i boosted my ds to 1300 and kept it there as soon as i ae damaged em all so the corpse wouldnt just pop .. i expected to die honestly , seeing as how i was gunna use the cleric for CHes and i only had adren surge up .. got hairy for a sec i got dropped to 25% and had to pop convergeance .. went into white wolf to conserve a little mana on the fernspurs and cha ching ! rezz the cleric loot up and take out queen too before i jet , made some very nice plat as well off the incardine Bp or w/e its called and i got a SoN off queen still in meh bank .. i dunno if they made this quest easier or i just got lucky (and im never lucky ..) but i found gimblax up when i came , and found zordak up when i came .. it did take me bloody forever to get the quest started .. and i spent at least 6 hours in skyfire ae'ing the zone , woulda only taken 4 hours but i am on zek .. and i kill people religiously .. and someone i apparently offended in ages past decided to ninja and destroy my pearlescent fragment /finger <suave> .. but then it was over in a flash took out zordak and his dragon form with like 15% mana or so and ported off to bbm , i swear i spent more time farming fragments and running back and forth timorous deep then i did questing the entire rest of the quest ... ironically ..all this was for a friend .. isnt even my cleric lol .. o well free rezzes for a lifetime are worth a day and sum change of questing .. and he has some new clickies to boot *hawt*

This is not a walk through, i thought it might help people gauge what is required these days to accomplish a few of the encounters. My cleric is lvl 39 and is now clutching her Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh =D

~my cleric's partner in crime was my lvl 75 warrior 1300+ aa, partially Anguish/DoN geared.~

1: obtaining Lord Bergurgle's Crown is still a pita, good time to learn all your languages and lvl up swimming.

2: crown turn in to Shmendrik Lavawalker, kill him than Spirit of Flame who spawns
right where Shmendrik dies to avoid Natasha Whitewater coming out and mussing her hair.

3: a seeker in Sol Ro temple does spawn at 9am, i had my cleric do the turn in and my warrior drop him on the spot rather than drag him to the zone, really no need to worry bout him getting off an aoe with throat jab and stuns from kicking.

4: Lord Gimblox is still another pita camp, bring a book.

5: Joy upon joy Naxot Deepwater in Burning Woods is no longer beat upon as soon as she spawns, this turn in was always a pain as you had to catch her as soon as she spawned or keep people waiting.

6: Ixiblat Fer was soloed by my warrior, i had my cleric bind near by so she could gate to corpse in order to loot after fight.

7: Overking Bathezed /shiver.. really not that bad ;). I had my mage with dubious faction coh a rogue to unlock the two doors after which she could summon people to the safe hall, everyone was invised (75 pally, druid, chanter, wiz)when cohed to avoid early engagement. Do expect lots of aggro which wasn't a problem with the group we had but can be a little overwhelming if not prepared.

8: Zordak Ragefire (Nagafen's Lair) is still hit or miss, i find it alot easier reaching him by taking the shortcut through Sol A which puts you near the Sol C zone in (he can be tracked at this location), kill a couple sonic bats, levi, run over the lava to the next bridge where a duct crawler may path, kill the two Fire Giants that guard the entrance than follow path, float across river of lava to Rage.

9: Pearlescent Fragments /swoon... i mass killed everything in sight near the dragon skeleton south of VP and had 4 fragments in less than 2 hours.

10: Zordak Ragefire drops quickly than Zordakalicus Ragefire spawns, he conned light blue and could have been soloed by my warrior but had a couple bored guildies join me (72 bard, 65 mage).

11: Avatar of Water took awhile to spawn after turning in the three orbs, he pathed under the bridge was caught there til he popped up onto the bridge, my cleric was able to do the turn in as he was pathing off the bridge.

Hope this helps the people boxing their baby clerics ;)

Is there anyway to kill him again without doing the turn in to Naxot Deepwater???

Aka. does this guy ever just plan spawn on his own?

I have seen him up 3 or 4 times while xp'ing alts in there. No other's where in zone so I assume he does spawn randomly sometimes. Few of those times could have been a failed attempt on him and left him up, but I'm pretty sure one of those times, he spawned while I was in zone xp'ing near by and nobody in zone.

I've done this quest no less than 12 times start to finish now, and finally dding something I noticed for the first time today doing it for my next cleric. This one I made was a dark elf, and so I stood in burningwoods next to Naxot's spawn point with hide on as I was not really watching. I ended up running to the store AFK for a couple hours and when I came back I saw something very interesting in my chat buffer:

Naxot Deepwater has been slain by greater war bone skeleton!

    and

Naxot Deepwater has been slain by a Sarnak extremist!

    - This got me curious, and so I sat there attentive this time watching. There are almost 7 mobs that are on their own individual path that walk right past her. All sarnarks, undead skeletons, or wurms. But they were different names and I verified the others were still up using last known target tricks. Sure enough it seems like SOE put her in a place where she will die, thereby making her short respawn time not so short as you don't realize why she happens to not be up - because an npc killed her.

Stand on the spot posted here if you're going to camp her, and don't go afk unless you are visible and sitting (to be sure you are first to get aggro on the mob and not her).

This is the stupidest thing ever - she should be betaneutral.

    MQ WARNING
    # Apr 26 2007 at 9:01 PM Rating: Decent
Let it be known I pulled alot of info from these threads that really helped me accomplish 2 orbs on this quest. BEWARE everquest players, Sony does NOT help in any way if you multi- quest any part of everquest quests. I had finished the second orb in TD and mq'd it, received my orb and Natasha never spawned in the hut to turn her next piece in to her. I petitioned and got a gm to chat with me. This person told me I should have pride in an epic weapon and not mq anything on this quest. I explained to them it was my freakin azz that sat at those camps for multiple hours ( and you know what im talking about if you have done this quest ), and then be berated like that. I had the piece in my bag to turn in to Natasha in TD to start the 3rd orb, all I needed was help or direction as to how to spawn her again or would I have to wait till another cleric finally came long? but instead all I got was the I am more holy than you treatment, while we all know gm;s use in game cheats / hacks to get whatever they want. I know some of you will read this and say want some cheese with your wine but many of you who have actually done this quest, know this is bs and typical of Sony's treatment to eq players now. And the sad thing is they are pushing and promoting new expansions like crazy because they know I am right. You would probably freak out if you knew how many RL people working for them have quit in the last year. This product and everything that deals with everquest has gone to crap. I for one have listed all but 1 account to sell.. It's truly a sad day for me.. I have given so much time and effort to eq but I am quiting this game. My main pbjective here was to make sure you didnt get screwed as I did. I hope this helps someone out in the future. Do NOT ask or think you will get help with anything after you mention the letters mq to a gm. Good luck all , my run on eq since 00 has come to a halt. World of warcraft seems to be a freakin awesome game.... Try it sometime all...

I petition because AoW won't give me epic at low lvl. GM siad you have to be at least lvl 46 to complete epic 1.0. Oh yeah, the pearl shard drop rate was pretty ******. I lost count of how many trash mobs i killed about 1000plat. I finally got my first shard after about 2kpp. By the time i collected the 4th shard, i had a total of 4007 plats. I'm not counting the gold, coppers, and silvers--those i destroyed. You can do the math for me. Each mob can drop anywhere between 3 gold to about 13pp (13pp being extreme). I would average each mob to drop about 5pp, and that's being pretty generous. So, that brings me to about 800 give or take. If you can collect all 4 shards and make under 4kpp, you're pretty damn lucky.
