Styria Fearnon may be found on Erollisi Isle, at 1930, -7821.

You say, 'Hail, Styria Fearnon'

Styria Fearnon says 'Welcome to my island. I always welcome visitors, but I would prefer that your stay not last too long. My warriors are sometimes tempted by others. That is why they all wear purity belts. I should warn you, also, to be on the lookout for the Pirates of Gunthak.'

You say, 'What Pirates of Gunthak?'

Styria Fearnon says 'The Pirates of Gunthak have been stranded on a nearby island. Their ship was sunk by some unknown water beast. They now attempt to take over this island and commandeer the first ship they encounter. I am looking for brave adventurers to hunt the rogues. Do you wish to hunt the pirates or are you waiting for the next ship?'

You say, 'I wish to hunt the pirates.'

Styria Fearnon says 'Go and seek them out. They are on a nearby island. You will have to swim if you have no boat. Each pirate wears the pirate earring of the Pirates of Gunthak. I shall reward you for each earring you return to me. They have also stolen the Bracers of Erollisi from us. Their leader may have the pair. Return it to me and I shall be very appreciative.'

The pirates can be found on Seafury island at about +780, -5440. Your kill targets are Captain Surestout; Gornit; Toko Binlittle; Wiltin Windwalker; Zyle Bensmill; Dixl Drool; and Dayle Jornin. Kill them until you get a "Pirate's Earring", then turn it into Styria:

Styria Fearnon says 'Good work. That is one less pirate to worry about. We do not have much, but take this as payment.'

Brought a new level 4 rogue here with 14 earrings. After all turn-ins, only received about 0.3% exp total. Some turn-ins did not yield any loot - 14 earrings turned in and only received one fishing spear, one conch shell, and three Aviak Feathers. Playing on a time-lock server so the spear is an ok newbie rogue weapon, and the feathers went to a guildie researcher to make level 16 MAG air pet spell. Conch shell sells for about 1 GP.

Location of Styria Fearnon
# Sep 26 2013 at 8:44 AM Rating: Good
Styria Fearnon may be found on Erollisi Isle (/loc?).

She is located at P1930, N7821. From the dock that takes you to/from Butcherblock Mtns. (this is on Sister Isle), head north up the path that goes uphill. On top of the mesa at the end of the path, she is in the building on your left (west).

Pirates?
# Sep 29 2007 at 9:37 AM Rating: Decent
Well I have been on the cyclop island for about 3 hours total now.. I havent seen a single pirate on track. However the pirate ring still drops here. I have had Gornit drop an earring every single time and he is on a very fast spawn timer.

Good luck to those hunting here.

Hrm...

A good way to gain Felwithe faction without losing Neriak faction... not bad?

Faction gains worth it, or no?

I did this with my 23 rogue last night for fun. It went like this?

You say, 'Hail, Styria Fearnon'

Styria Fearnon says 'Welcome to my island. I always welcome visitors, but I would prefer that your stay not last too long. My warriors are sometimes tempted by others. That is why they all wear purity belts. I should warn you, also, to be on the lookout for the Pirates of Gunthak.'

You say, 'What Pirates?'

The pirates are located on Seafury island at about pos 785, neg 5445. They are not called Pirates. Some are called Buccaneers and some are named. I actually looted an earring off of Gornit, the Hill giant who spawns near the camp.

Upon turning it in:
Styria Fearnon says 'Good work. That is one less pirate to worry about. We do not have much, but take this as payment.'
Your faction standing with Faydarks Champions got better.
Your faction standing with King Tearis Thex got better.
Your faction standing with Clerics of Tunare got better.
Your faction standing with Soldiers of Tunare got better.
Your faction standing with Crushbone Orcs got worse.
You gain experience!!
You receive 2 silver from Styria Fearnon.
You receive 1 gold from Styria Fearnon.
Also received The Fishing spear.

# Feb 19 2003 at 1:59 PM Rating: Decent
Im a dark elf magician who is just recently researching spells. Is it possible to turn in the earring or do i have to work on faction. If so, where do i hunt, and can i just buy the spell instead. Im on the Terris-Thule server so if anyone has a spare aviak feather send me a tell. My magicians name is Raeziel.

Killing CB orcs will improve faction with sisters, but ruin your faction with the DE warrior guild. However, you can hunt mature arboreans and arborean saplings in Greater Faydark as well. Killing those will improve your faction with several elf factions (including Soldiers of Tunare, the one the sisters are on) without hurting any faction but the arboreans.

Youll have to raise faction, to do that you'll need to kill lots of CB orcs, and doing so will kill your brotherhood faction in your home town, its just not worth it realy.

Pirate on Erollis isl
# Oct 27 2001 at 11:22 PM Rating: Default
There is a nasty little pirate on the Isle of Erollis that has a nasty habbit of attacking any who come to the isle for Kiola nuts. He is about level 20+ and has a pirate earring on him. This POS pirate should be killed just to help anyone who comes to the isle. I like to hunt him, just for revenge sake.

How very cool. I had missread the 'kiola juice' item (it's lore) - went to island to stock up on them. So I go, the infamous Pirate jumps me... I kick his butt... (white and yellow at 15). Decent XP and some cash, I turn in and get the aviak feather. I notice the cash she gives me is JUST barely more then what I pay to BUY another earing, So I go and turn in about 5. getting the spear and 2 feathers. Im glad now, knowing is a mage air research spell.... this char happens to be a mage... :)Its juts too bad all the XP is in killing him, turning in the items sucks... for a white to yellow con quest.

For all you eviles + anti-rangers, there is a lvl 15-17 ranger, Naya Driftwood (Standard loot, not sure of any quests) that spawns in place of a sister. She will have the 1 PT DMG shield, and will use burst of fire (15 DMG DD).
lvl 18, not 11 )

I camp sisters isle a lot. Feir loot, etc. However, on the pirates. They spawn near the dwarf rock, run up to the top of the island, and then back down past the dwarven camp (Found out the hard way). There is a nice spot to the left of the camp where yuo can see them, but it is out of their aggro range, and nice to pull there too. I have seen them occasionaly down near the docks (Where a cyclops decided to ride the boat to, and got whooped by the barkeep (Poor little high elfie that was hanging out in the bar)). I think the sneak + hide because I have been attacked at the docks but I couldn't see them. Another note, dont pull near the docks, Antitime (SP?) will aggro you. Well, Ive gone into a rant, so Ill let you go. Remeber to enjoy the sunset, never pull sisters from the top of the island, and if a cyclops is swimming over, invis in a hurry.

P.S. Gotta love the XP there, quickly gained, quickly lost. I now have memmed the swimming route from BB.
there are two

pirates that spawn back by the dwarfs. They take turns spawning. I forget their names. They dont always drop the earing. The reward is quite variable....not just fishing spears. One of the rewards I used to get was an aviak feather. This used to be the only place to get the feathers to make the mage research air pet (level 16 pet i think...been a long time now). I killed gnari mohalk the other day and he dropped an aviak feather that looked totaly different than what i used to get from this quest. Things change i guess.

I was camping Sister Island last night with a friend of mine and When I saw something comeing for me(as I was the puller) It was Him. He coned black to me at 14 and Red to my Friend who was 12. He went down VERY fast. Im a Nec and my friend is a Mage with both pets and My Nice lovely DoTs He was dead. Not sure If I even wanna think about turning it in. They already hate me Dont even wanna think they will do if I tried to give them something.
Awful Quest
# Apr 16 2001 at 7:24 AM Rating: Default
This quest is awful, the earrings are lore and so you have to turn them in one at a time. I was killing the dorfs with my 32 necro and both the pirates and the sisters hate me (even though I am indifferent in Kelethin) so I had to <<cough>> kill one or two of them. Lower levels might do his quest if you could collect a bunch of earrings at one time.

I agree they do have a big aggro radius.
You can find it here too

You can also find this on a named troll near the sirens in OOT I'm not sure on the spawn rate though
Conch Shell?
# Feb 14 2001 at 1:42 PM Rating: Default
I was given a conch shell upon turnin' in the ear ring. As much as I wish it were a cool Bard instrument, it ain't. Any clue on what it is fer? Anyone else out there get a shell? Or do the sisters jus' favor me.

Dayle Jornin who is on sister island drops the lore pirate's earring needed for this quest. He is only around level 15 or 16 and can easily be killed by 2 players in their low teens. He aggroed on me last night and a lvl 14 necro(me) and a level 12 wizzy dispatched him with ease.
Pirates
# Sep 20 2000 at 6:02 AM Rating: Default
On sisters island pirates will spawn every 6 minutes or so. Only one will appear at a time though. They con blue to me at level 16
RE: Pirates
# Nov 13 2000 at 12:39 AM Rating: Default
These pirates indeed spawn on the sister isle.. conned yellow and red to me a lvl 12 de necro .. caught me by surprise the first time. They have a pretty decent aggro range so if you see one don't get too close, unless you are ready to take him. Good part is like the sisters they tend to ignore your pet if you are close enuf. My advice even at lvl 12 they are doable even red cons, just , engulf , (scent if engulf gets resisted), dot (all lvl 12 dot's will stack) and just pretend you're a druid running them back and forth along the waters edge, while pet smacks them up from behind, until dead, rinse and repeat. I was told that you hand the earrings to whomever on the sister isle in the hut behind the merchants, but being lvl 12 i'm not rdy to take that chance just yet.
