NOTE: Mobs here tend to warp, so if you're going for the "kill everything" bonus, you may want to set up near the Plane of Knowledge portal to keep it protected.

Speak with Bjerg Sen the Tranquil 0/1 (Plane of Tranquility)

Task Window Says: The Herald of Quellious, Bjerg Sen the Tranquil, waits nearby. He will tell you about the armies you will face in the coming battle.

You say, 'Hail, Bjerg Sen the Tranquil'

Bjerg Sen the Tranquil bows his head as you approach and says, 'Thank you for coming, friend. The Plane of Tranquility has long been a land of peace, truce, and tolerance. The [forces of violence] appear poised to finally disrupt that.'

You say, 'Forces of violence?'

Bjerg Sen the Tranquil says 'For as long as I can remember, Quellious' land has provided unbiased access to many planes of power. Even the most corrupting and chaotic powers have not dared breach the [peace of this land].'

You say, 'Peace of this land?'

Bjerg Sen the Tranquil says 'The Plane of Tranquility is the manifestation of reassuring peace. Quellious, the Tranquil teaches us to seek the truth that grows inside each one of us and in the world around us. [Rallos Zek] has always hated us.'

You say, 'Rallos Zek?'

Bjerg Sen the Tranquil says 'The Warlord seeks only conflict, only war, only death. His bloodthirsty followers in the Plane of Tactics have taken it upon themselves to launch an [attack] against this plane, and opportunistic armies from other planes have followed suit.'

You say, 'An attack?'

Bjerg Sen the Tranquil says 'Preliminary reports delivered by kind adventurers such as yourself have told us that they plan to conquer the [Plane of Knowledge]. As you know, we have direct teleportation access to that plane here.'

You say, 'Conquer the Plane of Knowledge?!'

Bjerg Sen the Tranquil says 'It is not easy for me to ask you to breech the sanctity of peace here. But the followers of Quellious have always defended the victims of violence. Will you help us stop the forces of chaos from breaching the Plane of Knowledge?'

(Optional) Receive a blessing of a deity for your group 0/1 (Plane of Tranquility)

Task Window Says: You may choose to receive the blessing of a deity of a nearby herald. Only one blessing can be chosen and it will be applied to your entire group.

Earthcrafter Brenten

Offers three warden mobs, each with a healing aura and surrounded by three mephits that assist in melee attacks.

Earthcrafter Brenten digs a small hole in the grass with its toe and say, 'Yes, this is good soil. Good things grow here. The Rathe will offer its [blessing] to whoever will defend it.

Earthcrafter Brenten says 'Some of our Wardens will travel here temporarily to provide healing during the battle. They will not fight directly, but they will bring along a few of earthcrafted strikers that will help you kill the invaders. Your group may only accept one blessing. Are you sure you want to [receive] The Rathe's?'

Earthcrafter Brenten digs its feet into the earth and chants in a deep, reverberating voice. Wardens and earthcrafted strikers emerge from the ground around the area.

Librarian Ligorian the Shusher

Offers four armed gnome merchants as your last defense at the Plane of Knowledge stone.

Librarian Ligorian the Shusher says 'Thank you for helping us defend the Plane of Knowledge, which has harbored you for so many years. I would happily offer you our [blessing].'

Librarian Ligorian the Shusher says 'The Plane of Knowledge's blessing will constantly restore your mana and endurance. In addition, some of our merchant militia will fight by your side. Your group may only accept one blessing. Are you sure you want to [receive] The Plane of Knowledge's?'

Librarian Ligorian the Shusher flicks her finger and you feel smarter. A group of scrappy militia fighters appear nearby. 'Fight with wisdom, friend.'

The Silent Warden

Offers a permanent damage shield buff called "Blessing of the Tribunal" (600-point melee damage shield; 2,000-point spell damage shield).

The Silent Warden silently extends his hand to offer The Tribunal's [blessing].

The Silent Warden begins preparing a blessing that will cause enemies who attack you to be injured. Your group may only accept one blessing. Are you sure you want to [receive] The Tribunal's?

The Silent Warden chants softly and moves his hand across your body.
A rebuking shield encapsulates you.

Knight-Captain Varlman

Offers 5x "a righteous knight" to stand guard at the doorway next to the Plane of Knowledge stone.

Knight-Captain Varlman salutes you militaristically and says, 'The knights of Marr stand ready to serve the cause of the righteous. Do you wish to receive The Truthbringer's [blessing]?

Knight-Captain Varlman says 'The swords of righteous knights are the greatest blessing in Norrath. We do not seek fame or glory. We seek only truth and justice. Allow us to fight by your side. Your group may only accept one blessing. Are you sure you want to [receive] Mithaniel Marr's?'

Knight-Captain Varlman snaps to attention and shouts a rallying cry. A pack of paladins appear suddenly, ready to fight.

a powerful water elemental

Offers the permanent buff "Blessing of Tarew Marr" (mitigates melee and spell damage; increases chance to break roots).

a powerful water elemental says 'The Plane of Tranquility has always respected The Fathom Lord's domain in the Reef of Coirnav. Tarew Marr will offer his [blessing] to any who would defend this land.'

a powerful water elemental says 'Tarew Marr is mysterious, untouchable. The stories told of him constantly change and never stick. His blessing will offer you the same elusiveness by increasing your ability to escape snares, occasionally blocking an attack, and reducing all damage taken. Your group may only accept one blessing. Are you sure you want to [receive] The Rain Keeper's?'

a powerful water elemental throws water on your feet and says firmly, 'May your enemies never catch you.'
You feel wild and uncontrollable.

Stormcaller Gorelithon

Offers "Blessed Gem of Karana", a right-click AE nuke for 100,000 damage (with snare) clickable every three minutes (one per group member).

Stormcaller Gorelithon says 'The Rain Keeper has always respected the sanctity of this realm, and prevented his mighty tempests from spreading here. Will you accept his [blessing] to help repel these fools defying Karana's will that this land remain undisturbed?'

Stormcaller Gorelithon says 'This gem has been blessed by Karana, and will allow you to occasionally summon a mighty storm to damage and knockback all foes around you. Your group may only accept one blessing. Are you sure you want to [receive] The Rain Keeper's?'

Stormcaller Gorelithon says 'I'm glad to hear you respect the power of tempests, friend. Fight well.'

Alianna the Wispy

Offers a permanent buff called "Blessing of Xegony" (120% dodge increase; 500% movement increase; 20% mitigation of spell damage).

Alianna the Wispy says 'My mistress in Eryslai, the Kingdom of Wind is both elegant and benevolent. Xegony, the Queen of Air will offer you her [blessing] in this defense, if you seek it.'

Alianna the Wispy says 'Xegony's blessing will increase your running speed and ability to dodge attacks. Your group may only accept one blessing. Are you sure you want to [receive] Xegony's?'

Alianna the Wispy murmurs as a strong gust of wind races down the hill and wraps itself around you.
A warm wind wraps around you.

(Optional) Prevent all enemies from entering the Plane of Knowledge 0/1 (Plane of Tranquility)

Task Window Says: If you can, defeat the armies without allowing a single enemy to escape into the Plane of Knowledge to earn bonus rewards. You can still be successful if you fail to do this.

"Miniature Horn of Unity" is the bonus reward.

Blow the Horn of Unity to begin the assault 0/1 (Plane of Tranquility)

Task Window Says: Blow the Horn of Unity near Bjerg Sen the Tranquil to challenge the first army.

Defeat the armies of the Plane of Disease 0/12 (Plane of Tranquility)

These mobs appear near the Plane of Disease zone-in and quickly path towards the Plane of Knowledge. They can be a mix of:

a corrosive ooze
a toxic nibbler
a disease spreader
a vile digester
a grime scraper

a dripping plaguebringer
a corpse squatter

The first five mob types hit for a max ~6,000 while the latter two mobs hit for a max ~12,000 (these start spawning as you progress through this army). All mobs are stunnable/mezzable/rootable; and have a very manageable amount of hitpoints.

Blow the Horn of Unity to challenge the next army 0/1 (Plane of Tranquility)

This can be done at any time (you can wait until previous armies have been defeated, if you want).

Defeat the armies of the Plane of Torment 0/4 (Plane of Tranquility)

These mobs appear near the Plane of Torment zone-in and quickly path towards the Plane of Knowledge. They can be a mix of:

a corpse caller
a limb remover
a small snapper

a snapping tormentor

The first three mob types hit for a max ~6,000 while the snapping tormentor hits for a max ~12,000 (these start spawning as you progress through this army). All mobs are stunnable/mezzable/rootable; and have a very manageable amount of hitpoints.

Blow the Horn of Unity to challenge the next army 0/1 (Plane of Tranquility)

This can be done at any time (you can wait until previous armies have been defeated, if you want).

Defeat the armies of Doomfire, the Burning Lands 0/8 (Plane of Tranquility)

These mobs appear near the Plane of Fire zone-in and quickly path towards the Plane of Knowledge. They are a mix of:

a fiery golem
a burning spirit
a cackling pyromaniac

a wild subjugator
a doomfire marcher

The first three mob types hit for a max ~6,000 while the latter two mobs hit for a max ~12,000 (these start spawning as you progress through this army). All mobs are stunnable/mezzable/rootable.

Blow the Horn of Unity to challenge the next army 0/1 (Plane of Tranquility)

This can be done at any time (you can wait until previous armies have been defeated, if you want).

Defeat the armies of Drunder, Fortress of Zek 0/8 (Plane of Tranquility)

Note: These mobs will sometimes path through the zone-in point (where the Herald is), so if you remain there for this army, you may get more adds than you want. These mobs appear in the tunnel with the Plane of Tactics portal stone and quickly path towards the Plane of Knowledge. They are a mix of:

a war wraith
a zek initiate

Diaku Elite Conqueror

The first two mob types hit for a max ~6,000 while the Diaku Elite Conquerors (as their name may imply) are a bit more difficult, hitting for a max ~12,000. All mobs are stunnable/mezzable/rootable.

Blow the Horn of Unity to challenge the final armies 0/1 (Plane of Tranquility)

This can be done at any time (you can wait until previous armies have been defeated, if you want).

Restore peace to the Plane of Tranquility 0/1 (Plane of Tranquility)

Here, you're looking for four nameds:

The Faceless Soulflayer (Torment)
Grollikthania (Disease)
Kerkinic the Enforcer (Fire)
Chargy the Charger (Tactics)

These nameds are a bit tougher than previous spawns, hitting for a max ~14,000 and AE rampaging (also mezzable/stunnable/rootable). If you let them get through to the Plane of Knowledge, they respawn, so you don't have to take on all at once.

(Optional) Speak with the deity representative who blessed you 0/1 (Plane of Tranquility)

The Heralds will be most pleased. Hail them for a thank you.

Speak with Bjerg Sen the Tranquil 0/1 (Plane of Tranquility)

You say, 'Hail, Bjerg Sen the Tranquil'

Bjerg Sen the Tranquil sets down his spear and says, 'Your aid saved us today, _____. The Tranquil thanks you for your selflessness. Hopefully this taught our violent neighbors the strength of peace.'

Bjerg Sen the Tranquil bows humbly and says, 'I can return you to the Plane of Knowledge whenever you're ready to [leave].'

You helped the Herald of Quellious defeat the armies marching in Plane of Tranquility. The militia in Plane of Knowledge should be able to handle any stragglers.

I have just done this quest, 99 Ranger and boxed 99 Cleric, plus mercs, died but can't find the corpses. Where do they end up? I didn't want to waste a shard on them, I'm a cheapskate! :D

1. The Quest starts in POK and then ports you into the instance of POT
2. I took the paladins as they stayed at the door mostly and really did help me out.
3. I had one guy almost make it out in the first round because it ran through the building
4. After #3 happened the rest were easy and I only needed me and my merc
5. further on more mobs would attempt to get in the door and pop there, but the paladins grabbed them

Quick and easy. :-) gonna solo this now with all my alts after making sure i can

As described. 105 War/Zerk/Brd w/j5 heals x2, 1 melee dps. Chose paladins, sat at the doorway, easily caught all the mobs. One mob from the first wave (disease blob or worm) did* warp into the room, but the pallies in the doorway auto-aggrod it, so no big deal. last 4 bosses at once was fun, but a little spikey dmg incoming, even with Last Stand defensive on. Wrapped up in ~20 minutes, with ~8% xp on completion at 105 :D

1 of the mobs in the first wave of spawns at the Plane of Tactics will run sideways into the hill and warp to inside the PoK stone room. To stop this you either need someone posted inside just next to the PoK stone or you need to have the gnome defenders positioned around the PoK stone to keep them from escaping.

the pali's are great additional dps, i have 102 sham war 103 cleric used two tier 5 journeyman damage casters on balanced and a tier 5 cleric on balanced, used campfire for last fight but i should have used it for all this was my second run and no death. But on first run i used three wizzy on full ae burn and they died too quick and i died multiple times on all toons and the palis died , all but one and i still won it fortunately, BTW the pali's can be buffed with clericals and shamman buffs. not sure that it helps but they can be buffed.

Is there supposed to be only one horn in the chest? We had three PCs and three mercs, killed all mobs, none passed through to POK, and we received one horn.

From what I remember, yes only one person in the group gets the horn.

Take this for what it's worth, I have only done this task one time. 2-box 100shm/healer merc and 100pal/nuker merc - no raid gear on either.

I picked the righteous knights. Those guys are tough. On the final (named) wave, things got out of hand and both toons died. The knights managed to keep all 4 occupied until I could bring the paladin back to get things back in order (rooting away and kiting until we could recover). I managed to finish without allowing any of the mobs through to PoK.

Stay where all the Heralds are when you zone in and you can pull mobs as they are entering the building trying to escape to POK. Bjerg Sen will assist killing mobs if you pull them close to him. Extra free DPS :)

Not sure if this is intentional, but horn clicky overwrites all mana regen clickies such as Knowledge of the Past or Soothing Breath. Yes it's better regen, but only every 5 mins. Annoying that you have to click your ring/ear whatever again after each use. Probably going back in the bank as useless

As of today's patch (18 June,2014) the cast type has changed to a song to eliminate spell overwrites..stacks with all regen/ ds based spells that I've tried it with ( ranger/ shammy/ druid/ mage)..now worth keeping in your hotkey set :)

Ive completed the mission 5 times, and from what i've experienced and been told unless you successful kill all mob before they zone into PoK you will not get the item Miniature Horn of Unity. Doable but tricky boxing. Pretty good xp as well.
