Once you have access to the castles, you'll want to see about raising your faction with the Quest NPCs in each of them in order to do the quests in them. Summary - Faction level is determined by a point system. --- You start off at -800, and require +1,100 for ally faction. - Kill Tallon Zek's forces in the Field of Strife ("a Hendin _____"; "a Rulnavian _____"). --- Mob kills increase faction by 1 point per kill. --- You have to get to dubious faction (-499) through mob kills. - Loot Tallon Soldier Insignias from mob corpses and turn them in to Sergeant Rekkles (click for map image). --- You have to be at least dubious (-499) to turn in Soldier Insignias. --- Turn-ins increase faction by 10 points per turn-in (up to indifferent (zero)??; then they are 2 points per turn-in). --- Sergeant Rekkles stops accepting Soldier Insignias at kindly faction (+500), at which point they are believed to become useless to you. - Loot Tallon Captain Insignias from "a Gindan _____" mobs and turn them in to First Lieutenant Ess Pekky (click for map image). --- Turn-ins increase faction by 10 points per kill (up to kindly (+500), then they are 2 points per turn-in). --- You have to be at least indifferent (zero) to turn in Captain Insignias. The teleport clicky you (which is removed from your inventory when you zone) can be obtained via a 30 second long quest that is given to you when you reach ally faction. The quest is repeatable and needs to be redone everytime you come back to the zone in order to get a new port clicky. It teleports you to the wagon next to ess pekky.

Well what I have noticed, get indiff at 0, amiable around 250, kindly around 500, warmly around 750 and ally around 1k. Rough estimates from what I have noticed.

Well the Captain insignias were 10 points, now at + 500 it only gives 2 points per turn in and says for me to go see Captain Flavis. So guessing the tasks he gives gets you the rest of the way. Not sure when it started giving it 2 point per turn in. But on this round of handins, at 550 it was 2.

So first i tried to farm the insignias for this faction off of the worgs and got nothing at all to drop off them. Since the worgs didn't drop anything i decided to go into Castle Rulnavis to try and get the drops. After killing pretty much every type of Ogre and Rulnavian mob in the castle i had 0 insignias. The only mobs i have seen drop the insignias are the mobs in the field. This is pretty crappy because pretty much all of the mobs in the field are fully buffed (which can be annoying to dispell) and there is no good spot to pull to from what i can tell. Anyone else running into this problem? Is there a spot in the castle that i could get the insignias? Any info on where to farm these would be great, thanks.

I had a go at killing everything in the castle too, the insignias only drop in the field, I found two good spots to pull to, the south wall next to the pit, the mobs directly north are spaced out enough that you can get single pulls, another spot is on the bridge in front of the Rulnavis castle doors, can get single pulls there, pathing only becomes an issue if you pull into the pit, I had no issues pulling onto the bridge.

Yeah, noticed that when my faction was still threatenily, I couldn't hand in the insignias, once it was dubious I coud.
