Click on the loom in Dionin Needlespin's house and you will find that it opens up into a 12 slot Sewing Kit complete with combine button. You say, 'hail Dionin Needlespin'. Dionin Needlespin sets down a needle and thread and a bolt of cloth. Greetings my friend. I am the tailor of this outpost. We have limited supplies. I often have to preserve my tailoring supplies to [mend very large items]. You say, 'How do you mend very large items?' Dionin Needlespin says 'I cannot use a sewing kit to mend items such as ship sail. I must use my loom outside. I have the only one available in Kunark, but only I am allowed to use it. I can't have other breaking it. I have heard there is an old one in an ancient and ruined library. I am not sure where it goes from here.

Need all dialogues, faction hits if any, quest reward(s), /loc of quest mobs and objects, details about the rest of the quest.

Loom in Kaesora LOC
# May 16 2003 at 8:30 AM Rating: Decent
Well, I spent a while, crawling through this dungeon, and I finally found the loom. The exact location of the loom is: pos 200, neg 160, neg 125.

There are two ways to reach this loom. The first (and longest way):

Enter Kaesora, turn left at the bottom of the ramp, fall down the pit trap and turn right. This will take you to the "Frenzied Room" where the Frenzied Straithbone spiders are. Go through the door in front of you, then turn left through the fake wall. Follow the tunnel down until you get to the library. Go through the library into "the backyard" area. Take a left and follow the tunnel. This will take you to a doorway, go through the door, there will be another door in front of you, and a passageway to the right. Go down the passageway, it stops in a room. This room is where the loom is. When you enter it is immediately on your left.

The second way to the loom (and the shortest):

Enter Kaesora, turn left at the bottom of the ramp, fall down the pit trap. There will be a doorway in front of you, open the door, walk through and fall down this pit trap. Follow the tunnel straight ahead of you. This will lead to another doorway, open the door and the loom is directly in front of you.

I was alone when I found it and too busy guarding my back to be able to try any combinations in it. Hopefully will be able to try in the next day or so. Also, when you click on it, it says "Sewing Kit" and only has 10 slots.

Hope this helps! Good luck everyone!

EDIT: Also forgot to mention, the loom in Dionin Needlespin's also only contains 10-slots these days.

The loom in Kaesora now has 10 slots. I don't know if this is a change that has been made or what. It was quite disapponting, since I died once in there and had fun retreiving the corpse. *sigh*

Can you say exactly where this loom is (loc?), I have 12 silks (nodrop) but am not keen to blunder about down there, as there are many "one way" systems.

Then I hope to get some answers on where this quest is going.

As someone mentioned the Kaesora Loom has 12 slots. Since the biggest of sewing kits has only 10 slots maybe the idea is to fill every slot of the loom with the Drachling silk. Maybe then, when you hit combine, you get a boat sail? It might be worth a try. I have so far foraged 3 Drachling silks. Who knows, it could lead to the next step in a quest related to the Blue Beast. Worth a try.

Drachnids?

Do drachnids drop silk? I'm only 19 and they're still a tombstone for me, but they're the only thing in FV that looks like it would drop sewable loot. Cuclain, 19th season Halasman warrior

After receiving a trans to Dreadlands yesterday I ran over to Burning Woods to see Telin about a part of my Epic, foraging as I went, naturally. I foraged 4 Drachling Silks. This morning when looking through things I'd foraged I noticed that 3 of the Drachling Silks were no-drop. But the 4th one was not. While I haven't been back to check, I suspect all the no-drop ones came from Dreadlands and the non no-drop one from Burning Woods, since that is the breakdown of where I foraged the 4 pieces... 3 in Dreadlands and 1 in Burning Woods.

Just thought you all might like to know this, since if you do need 12 silks its probably all one kind or the other, and they're the same save for the no-drop bit. I also have a vague memory of foraging Drachling Silk in Firiona Vie last fall sometime, and think it was the no-drop variety.

Makes no difference where you forage the silks, you randomly get the no-drop or the droppable version depending on your luck.
Sails

Pertaiing to an earlier mention of the sails for the blue beast, did you ask the NPC about sails? Perhaps he will tell you how to make them. I'll try today.

It seems like the main benefit of this is the 12 slots nad making large items.

I wonder what item we need to amke that is that large? I know there were the NPC's in fironia vie that are also located in east freeports tavern. They ride in a ship called the blue beast. I think I remember something about it being hijacked or broken or something. Perhaps that boat needs a new sail?

But where would we get the items to make the sail? And who would we turn it in to?

But if dalnir is any clue then the items will be found in the same zone as the loom.

Are there notes to be found in kaesora like dalnir?

The loom in Kaesora does open, just need click the right part of it for it to work, which is the very top of it, at least that's what worked for me. Like the forge in Dalnir, it also is called 'Always Works' or something like that if I remember right. What it's for on the other hand, I have no idea.

there is a loom in kaesora, in between the long drop and the library. i clicked on it before, but it never opened. perhaps thats changed, and its like the neverfail forge of dalnir, in this case with tailoring.

If I remember right, it was also a 12 slot sewing container.
