"an undead foreman" may be found at +2385, +3305.

You say, 'Hail, an undead foreman'

an undead foreman turns to face you. You can see a faint green glow emanating from his vacant eye sockets. 'Are you a [new worker]? Huh? Speak or go!!'

You say, 'I am a new worker.'

an undead foreman says 'Hmmph!! Too much flesh!! If you want to work, you must first fill my eye sockets with my favorite gem. This shall be your payment for your Sledgehammer.'

His favorite gem is jade. Give him a Jade.

an undead foreman places the gem deep into his hollow eye socket. He pulls a giant sledgehammer from thin air and hands it to you. 'Here!! You shall be assigned to the lower decks of the Scaled Trident.'

You receive a Worker Sledgemallet and no experience, faction hits, or coin.

I was KOS as a Wood Elf Ranger. I did the faction run to Veeshan's Peak. Ran around till it said my faction couldn't get any higher. We back and still indiff ~ and not able to do turn in. So I did the puppet strings. Took me 4 charges (3 of which pissed him off and he whacked at me), but it held. Did turn in QUICKLY and got the hammer. He actually broke charm like 3 seconds later, and I ran off to the PoK book with a happy ending to my story.

Hope this helps the next schlep on this part. Anyway, I now have a way to gate next to a PoK portal from wherever, whenever. (always have Eye of Zomm items with me).

If it was nerfed at 2012 then it got unnerfed now. I just used Puppet String and was able to charm and turn in a jade to get my sledgehammer. I had to used 5 tries though.

I think the problem was that I was Charming the mob on my paladin and Handing in the puppet strings on rog. Can't figure out why I was doing it that way, maybe cause I was Warmly and she was kos... But I guess I can try again soon :)

If you dont mind the faction change... just go to VP for about 15 mins and kill till your VS faction is maxed. It will seriously take you only 15 mins. The foreman will love you like a brother.

I would have done it that way but my rog was only level 65ish at the time, and it's annoying having to hit everymob to get the faction hit if I were to kill on main :(

I just charmed him on my 90 bard. using the newest charm spell. took a few tries to charm him. but once i did i just gave him the jade. didn't even have to go through the dialog

you can Buy a Jade from Kirem Deepfacet in PoK.

The hammer it yields is one of the must haves for all non-gating classes

I looked at all the suggestions from puppet strings to shrouds. All good options, but, I was pleasently surprised when I got mine in 45 minutes or less.

As a Drakkin I was KOS at the outpost in Overthere. Took the Pok book to Overthere.. Conned the golem...KOS!
My Venril Sathir couldn't be any worse.

Ran one zone over to Skyfire. Zoned into Veeshan's Peak. As a level 75 Rogue with Mercs, I could solo all the zone in Mobs.

I killed these for about 45 minutes and whalla, My Venril Sathir couldn't get any better!

Ran back to Overthere, bought a Jade from Tin Merchant IV at the outpost. 'Hail, an undead foreman' 'I am a new worker.'
gave him a Jade and got a Worker Sledgemallet.

One of the good things about wep is, if you set a bandolier with this as an option, get in a bad fight, switch to this, hit a couple time, and you gate right out.

Just completed this quest as a 69 Iksar Monk that is scowling to Outpost. I read the multiple ways you can do this quest if you are not already amiable, like factioning in VP, using shroud, or charming the foreman yourself. Well, I bought some "puppet strings" in Bazaar for 100pp and tried my luck with charming him, and it worked. It took 3 casts before the charm would stick, but they are instant casts so it wasn't a big deal. Basically I took OT stone from POK, then I swam all the way around and came through the back of the Outpost. I swam as far to the other side as I could then came up the shore near the broken down boat and the undead foreman was by himself. I got close enough to use puppet strings and casted, he resisted, so I cast again, he resist again, and I cast once more and it finally stuck. Turned in jade about 2 seconds later and got my hammer, and now I am sitting in Outpost FD'd and typing this up :]

So, if you are KOS to Outpost and have no way to charm yourself, I really suggest finding some "puppet strings" for sale in the bazaar and do what I did, unless you just want to make it harder on yourself.

You CAN NOT shroud, or have someone else charm, i just tried. The puppet string idea does work, as that's what i had to do. You have to be VERY quick with your reply and giving him the Jade, cause Allure drops off him within 2-3 seconds (on all 3 of my casts). Didn't resist me, but took 3 tries b4 i was fast enough with the turn in.

Does not work if someone else charms the Foreman. After the charm/hand-in with my NEC, I tried to do the same for my CLR and it just ate the jade.

I recently came back to EQ after a two year long hiatus, (75 SK, mostly anguish gear) and i did the OT hammer quest before with the braids. After that I killed those golems when i was bored, eventually i got maxx KoS and couldnt run by without being attacked.

One day smithing i had a lot of different hammers because i was tinkering as well, well i destroyed the OT hammer by accident, but later i decided to quit so never bothered getting it again.

Well when i came back i decided i wanted it again, so started looking for ways to gain faction, mainly because i didnt want to do the whole charm thing, its a clever way of doing it, but i hate playing shrouds.

So i got bored reading here on alla's and started exploring a bit. I had read that a lot of zones that needed keys were now open, so i went to VP as i had never been in there before, just to see if i could kill a few dragons, just out of boredom. After a couple of trash mobs I looked at the faction hits, I was getting good faction for VS. So i figured wth, might as well stay awhile and see if it was good enough to get the faction i needed. Later a friend of mine sent me a tell asking if i wanted to do anything and I suggested she come get faction for an OT hammer, just for the sake of having it, (she was an 80 cleric)She decided to get faction for her hubby's pally and we went thru about 40 or so trash mobs, 1 named, most didnt hit very hard, 250ish - 400, took about an hour, by then i read in faction that my faction with VS could not possibly get any better. All the mobs we killed in VP gave good faction for VS.

We gated out and ran back to OT and sure enough i was maxx ally (gnome sk, her hubby was warmly (human pally), and she was indifferent (high elf cleric), so me and the pally both got the hammer after turn in.

This is what i think is a good alternative to the braids and shrouds, i did the braids before and it took me days to collect enough, it was worth it when i was lvl 60, but if your high enough to solo or group in VP i'd definately do that if you dont like level'ing shrouds or gathering braids like me :D

Puppet strings cast allure, which is a 0 magic resist spell, and UF resists it pretty consistently - resisted 3 casts from me (71 zerker) before the goons were all over me. So - zoned out, back in with 75 shammy along with zerker, cast malis on UF, then puppet strings worked first time, turned in jade, got hammer, bailed.

I got the Origin AA thinking I'd end up pretty close to Nektulos and PoK as I'm a dark elf.

Geesh, it puts me in Neriak, 3rd gate, as far away from PoK as I can possible get and be in my home city. So I wanted a quicker port to get me to PoK.

So at level 78 I did this quest with my Necro.

buy A jade, charm the NPC with an undead charm spell, give him the jade, get the hammer back, you're all done.

You will get agro in several seconds from nearby guards afterward, but you can stand around safely before hand. Regular invis got me there no problem.

From the POK book, enter past the Golems at the entrance, hang a right and head to the ridge that's over the beach. Run along the ridge/beach towards the west, and just past the big boat there, up on land and by himself is the undead foreman.

Tried the effect out, it's not a clickie near as I can tell. It's a combat effect, you have to fight then you get ported.

I can confirm using chanty shroud still works.

I just did this quest about a week ago after leveling my wizard shroud to unlock evil eye. As a level 70 EE chanty, the charm landed on the first try. I don't know how well the charm would work from lower level so be ready to run!

A word of advice, if you are KOS in OT, you got about 15 seconds from when the charm lands until the goons gets all over you. You can safely skip the dialogs and just hand in a jade to get the hammer. Then run really fast.

I have not tried this but I don't think sneaking works because sneaking would only get indifferent faction with most npc and you need better than indifferent.

I just did this for the 3rd and 4th time using Puppet Strings. Unless there is some strange and unique code governing shroud usage, there is no auto-agro once you charm him.

I simply pulled him to the corner just up from his position and Tashani'd (J-stick) + Malosi'd, for a total of 84 MR reduction. Even so, he was still fairly MR for two level 53 characters.

Your enchanter shroud (Aberrations #2: Evil Eye Psion) must be at least level 50 to charm the undead foreman. Gaze of the Beholder charm is unresistable, up to 30 second duration, 5 minute recast.

Heh he is very, very resistant. After full dispells and zonewide aggro on 2 dragoons and a cliff golem, I just mezzed them off (they're quite resistant too, but don't hit hard). Then I tried about 30 times to charm the foreman with level 75 chanter mez, rank 2 (-15 mr adjust).

Nothing worked. Then I realized duh, just AA charm him.

I cast dodh edict of command AA, stuck perfectly. Handed jade, got my hammer. I bet dire charm would work too. That would be also true for necros.

If you re necro, you have another way.

Cast on Worker Annul magic and FD.

Then cast o it cajole undead or better. After 3 try, worker resisted, i could charm him and give the jade.

Now i have my hammer.-_-

More fast than raise faction. I think it aslo work with a chanter charm.

Have fun.

This does not appear to work anymore. I have tried it both ways: DE Illusion as well as chanter charming and trying to give jade to Captain Rottgrime. Amiably with both attempts, still no hammer for my High Elf chanter or my Hafling Rog. Has anyone really done this recently that can help me with either of these characters in getting this hammer. Can't see a halfing ever getting it if the Illusion does not work.

Thanks for any help or verification.

Using Shroud

Today I used the Beholder shroud to get this on my Shadowknight.

It took me a few hours to level up the shroud. I used the level 10 shroud and leveled him at Kurn's. Don't ask me why. If I could do it again I would probably shroud to level 15 or 20 and exp in Paludal. I used some DS potions I had. I also had a level 65 Shaman bot healing and buffing and rooting.

Anyway. My shadowknight is level 59 so I took the shaman and the level 55 Beholder shroud to OT. I first cast Malosi (whatever the level 42 version is) on the foreman and then he aggroed the shaman. I then cast the charm with the beholder. I had plenty of time to go through the entire dialogue and received the hammer with no problem.

A guard wandered by and aggroed the foreman, still in pet mode. They fought until the charm broke (a few seconds later) and then both aggroed the shroud beholder. I healed the shroud with the shaman to get aggro. The shroud did the whole shroud-gate thing while the Shaman tanked and healed himself, then the shaman gated.

Very simple.

Can be done with lvl 50 Evil Eye. Just posting cause I wasn't sure if the charm that the Evil Eye had would of affected a lvl 50 NPC but it does so you can do this quest as soon as your lvl 50(have access to the lvl 50 shrouds).

BTW was thinking I would of had to wait until level 55 cause of the level caps for charm usually being lower than your level. Just so you have some backgroung into why im posting this.

Other information is all correct. About 1-1.5 hours to level shroud, considerably less if you have a BoT healer.

Good luck on getting your hammer

took from another post

Quote:
The Overthere gate hammer the Worker Sledgemallet is easy to get now using shrouds.

You just have to level up the Abberation shroud from Imp Wizard to the Evil Eye Enchanter. The enchanter of this shroud has an 18 second charm you can use to charm the Undead Foreman in the Overthere. Then just hand him a jade and you get the hammer.

Previously if you were KoS you could not do this quest unless you were a charming class or somehow got the Puppet strings which were a charged charm item, very hard to come by since they are a drop from the golems in Fear.

Even if you were at dubious you had to do a lot of faction work turning in berzerker war braids for faction.

I used this method today and it worked easily, only took around 2 hrs to lvl up the shroud by using ds potions in PC.

Ok, when it comes to using shrouds I'm a bit of a newb. I've wanted this mallet for a while. If you obtain an item while you're in shroud form, the item remains on your character after you un-shroud? For some reason I didn't think this was possible, but I've never messed around in shroud form, so I didn't know. Thanks,

Yes, any items on your Shroud appear in a window after you de-shroud, allowing you to put them into your character's inventory, assuming you have a Giant capacity bag or an inventory slot open. You can choose not to do so immediately, but the items only remain in "limbo" (so to speak) for a certain number of hours, and I wouldn't want to run the risk of forgetting about them and logging out for a couple of days!

Alternatively, you could just go to the Bank, still in shroud form, and deposit it there until you do eventually de-shroud.

yeah i dont know why everyone tries to level up shrouds at higher levels. i get a lvl 5 shroud and hunt the newb areas. usualy an hour or so of non stop kills gets the next level unlocked. No healer involved, of course its quicker with a melee shroud. Its not the level of the mobs but the amount of killing you do! hope that helps some people=)

did it today (2/4/6). Had bottemed out VS faction (just finished getting Hand of Glory and killing lots in HS, which lowers VS). Had a 70 Chanter debuff, lower magic resist, etc. and I whacked him with the strings, handed in jade and got my hammer. broke in about 5-10 seconds. I had the strings on a Hotkey and jade in hand. hit the key and did turn in, no problems. No more gate potions for me!

I'm able to confirm that this Does work for Dorf War as of 11/29/2005.

KoS to "an undead foreman."

Spent 30kplat on Puppet Strings in the Bazaar with 9 charges.
Spent 30plat on Dark Elf Parts and had a shammy friend make up a DE illusion potion for me since none were available in Bazaar.

Used DE illusion and Invis to find the "an undead foreman." He agroed me and I used the Puppet Strings, Hailed then turned in the Jade immediately. Recieved the Workers Sledgemallet, then the charm broke as soon as I had cast it seemed... so I killed him. =P

I plan to resell the Puppet Strings to make most if not all of the plat back. Small investment for expiditing this quest.

Bad luck with this tactic on Jan. 7, 2006

I'm a 53 human paladin.

I spent 10k on Puppet Strings with 3 charges remaining. I then went to North Freeport and bought a Jade from the merchant in the bank.

When I got to the Overthere, I cast Invis vs Undead on myself and went into the outpost from the water side, avoiding everything until I was standing right beside the foreman.

I put the Jade on my mouse cursor, crossed my fingers, and clicked the Puppet Strings, breaking the invis vs undead.

The foreman resisted the effect. I tried again, and he resisted again. Tried my third and final charge on the Strings and he resisted a third time.

So there you have it. 10k down the drain and nothing to show for it.

The theory IS sound, but hope you don't get unlucky like me.

I got another set of Puppet Strings and gave it another shot, this time bringing along a 59 shammy to cast Malosini and a 21 enchanter to cast Tashani. The Malo got resisted five or six times before it stuck, but when it did, I clicked the Strings and the charm stuck the first time. I did the hand in immediately and got my sledgemallet. The charm didn't break for a good sixty seconds or so in my case.

The moral of the story is this: Make sure you debuff the foreman's magic resist before you try the Puppet Strings, at least unless you're willing to risk burning multiple charges from your Strings. I ended up paying out 20k to do this quest, and though it was worth that to me, I'd encourage anyone else to play it smart the first time and debuff the foreman.

Ive seen a few posts saying use illusion potions/mask/ect . Being an enchanter I have all the illusions I can eat. I do remember a time when illusions meant faction changes, but in a SOE pactch in 2004 the illusions no longer effect faction and now just makes illusion just another toy. I remember Illusioning Dark Elf and running all over Neriak. This I cant do any more cuz Im KOS there now even with illusions. Ive done nothing to lower my faction. Anyone else remember this patch?

I finished this quest a couple weeks ago and found that the respawn time and number of sarnaks giving faction are much better if you stick with the sarnaks in the ruins. They are south of the chasm and north of the East West Path. Nearly directly North of the Frontier Mtn Zoneline. Practically everything in those ruins gives faction and they respawn fairly quickly. There is also a sarnak tower to the ENE of those ruins close to the path that has several sarnaks in it. Good Luck.

Just did the turn-in successfully with my 38 SK so no, you don't have to be 50 to get it.

My 58 sk gnome completed this quest a few days ago.

sk was already dubious, and only had one known Venril Sathir faction hit (gotten while doing the khukri crawl for the greenmist). Took 24 sarnak warbraids (6 turniins) to get to apprehensive, 44 braids to get to indiff, and another 44 to get to amiable. So it seems that each braid is worth a bit more than 2 faction points, which puts each turn-in at about 9 points.

The warbraids are only dropped by sarnak berserkers, but every beserker drops one. They will also drop an occassional word or rune.

The sarnak berserkers spawn to the south of the chasm close to the zone border by the Frontier Mt zone-in, and to the southwest of the chasm by the muddy pond. They commonly spawn (and sometimes despawn) at the far southwest corner of the zone. All the wanderers in that area (knights, birds, rhinos, sabertooths) are spawn buddies, except for the sarnak messenger. But because they will despawn, you are not forced to keep the area wiped. Personally, I hunted berserkers until there were no more then left for a few hours. When I came back, the normal spawn cycles had repopulated the area with fresh berserkers.

For lower level players, be wary of the sarnak messenger. He is a bit higher in level than the normal mobs. And for players who are KOS to VS faction, be aware that every once in a while the OT guards (including the General) will patrol up to the columned structure in front of the Frontier Mt zone-in. They kill all the mobs they see and will have no prob killing you too if you are a low enough level.

My sk handed in two jades and got the hammer without incident. I don't know if only one jade will work.

After using the hammer, your toon will be on the top deck of the western-most ship at evil colony. If, while walking off, you happen to fall into one of the holes that are in the deck, you might not be able to get out. My sk gnome was not tall enough to jump, his levitate did not lift him high enough and there was nothing to stand on to get him high enough. And there are no doors or window. To get him out, I brought in my mage and CoH him.

Good luck,
Shadome

That requires a six hour wait. It's probably quicker to wait for the skeleton in the hold to respawn and then hit him with the Worker Sledgemallet to port back up to the upper deck.

I don't know the respawn time on this mob, because the one time I fell in was because he hit my bard as I dawdled over the opening while singing Selo's Song of Travel, dropping me into the hold.

I started to kill the green skelly until I noticed that there didn't appear to be a way to get out, so I switched to my mallet, memmed my DEX song (which took several attempts), sang it, and started hitting him again.

Hail, an undead foreman

an undead foreman turns to face you. You can see a faint green glow emanating from his vacant eye sockets. 'Are you a [new worker]? Huh? Speak or go!!'

I am a new worker

an undead foreman says 'Hmmph!! Too much flesh!! If you want to work, you must first fill my eye sockets with my favorite gem. This shall be your payment for your Sledgehammer.'

give a Jade

an undead foreman places the gem deep into his hollow eye socket. He pulls a giant sledgehammer from thin air and hands it to you. 'Here!! You shall be assigned to the lower decks of the Scaled Trident.'

Heh, I actually bough a stack of jades hoping to balance out some fac hits from DoN but was disappointed.

@#%^ all the questing and @#%^ the charming BS. All u have to do is go buy a DE illuison potion and an Ornate velium pendent. Zone into in to OT cast illuison De with the potion then run to the formen then equip the pendent target the foremen right click the pendent and bam, ambly. Turn in jade and walk away. I did this with my Iskar BL so i am pretty sure it should work with all races/gods u serve. Make sure u have an empty slot or a bag that holds giant items

This ONLY works if your race is the sole reason for you being KOS. If you are KOS because you killed stuff then you have to faction up to either threatening or dubious first.

All my Characters - save one (a druid) are evil. The Quest is given by an evil minion. IMHO the port in should be surrounded by 4 or 5 goons that take U apart if U aint evil. Why? Cause that would be hateful, and Hate is what we Dark Aelves are about. Besides = we could sell tickets to other evil races and sit there and watch the loser Goody Goods port in and get waylayed ... uh oh - i think i just smiled - Sorry Inny.

btw - 88 turn ins for Dark Aelvin Necro (Innoruuk)
100 plus for Agnostic Ogre Warrior

Having someone else charm will only give you indifferent faction, insufficient for the quest. On the other hand, if *you* charm, it gives you (the charmer) amiable faction, which is sufficient.

I am a 65th Woodelf ranger of tunare. I hunted in KC for a good portion of my career and was easily max KoS venril.

In order to do the turnins I used invis to get inside the fort and by the pillars near rotgrime. I then used sneak and sneaked on the flank of him and his marines, if you do it just right, centering yourself between the lines, you'll stay indiffrent to both rot and his marines. Then from as far as you can start turning in braids.

I still need to do a count and I will update this post when I go back through my log, but approximatly 1000 braids (250 quest completions) and I was Threatening. Another 200 or so till I was dubious, and then I went and bought an essence of darkelf and was "kindly"... I probably could have checked my faction after I got to threatening and delfed, but I didn't want to waste the potion.

If you are a good race, or worship a good god (or even worse, both). This is going to take you a LOT of time. If you can't track, it's going to take even longer.

Hope this helps, I will post a bit more when I get a chance to go through my log.
Rotgrime turnins while kos

Just a FYI. Working on this the old fashioned way by turning in braids. Im working on this for my Human/Karana Ranger (scowls). Tried Ranger AE Harmony on the Marines next to Rotgrime. No good they were unaffected by it. I used Wake of Tranquility from my boxed Cleric, targeting Rotgrime. This did work, Pacy'ing all the skelly Marines next to him. Then I used sneak to get to max trading range behind Rotgrime and was able to do turn in. You can park your Pacifier on wall behind skellys off to right or left. I waited for Rotgrime to come to end of line my Clr was on, would pacy, sneak, do turn in, repacy'ing when I felt I needed it. Did 2 turn ins and still kos, hehe. Will post how many freaking braids it takes when im done.

UPDATE #1:
22 Turn ins (88 Braids) Still scowls

how many turnins? well KoS just means he hates u ... there are degrees of hate. For instance when u reach the threshhold of "Your faction cannot get any worst" it takes roughtly 490 turnins (x4 braids).

Thus, only keep doing it can tell ... hehe ... it's all worth it in the end!

Couple months ago they changed the port in spot or the hammer. You appear on top of the deak now as opposed to inside the ship, and they moved the skelly worker that use to argo on you when you gated in. There is one skelly worker at the port in, but hes indiff to everyone, he's there for a iksar necro quest. I have the hammer on a iksar monk and am kos to everyone in the ot outpost, and since the change have never died using the hammer to port there.

No. For in item to proc, you need it actually use it. Targeting yourself and turning on autoattack will just give you the message that you should find someone better then yourself to attack. Just find something to hit, and then it can/may proc.

The issue of charming seems to be stressed a lot but there is another way for enchanters. I don't understand how your faction has to be amiable since my DE Agnostic Enchanter did this quest at lv 28 with no braids.

I had a clicky staff that cast benevolence and then used minor illusion after dropping an item on the ground. Turned in the jade and got the hammer. Seems to me some other illusion could be used on other people, but the problem is finding an item with benevolence.

Puppet Strings all the way!
# Feb 18 2004 at 9:21 PM Rating: Excellent
1 post
Forget the faction, just get Puppet Strings! I got mine for 25k but I've heard of them going for 10k. (@ Ayonae Ro) I donít know the initial charges but mine had 5 charges, unlike the picture currently linked here which showed 4. It might take a while to find them but it's so worth it so you don't have to mess with faction or if you're already max KOS. I just did this quest for my 65 Iksar monk, another 65 monk, a 65 ranger, and a 65 shaman. Illusion/Sneak did not work for me to fix my faction as I was already max KOS.

Resistance:
I first tried it by myself but was resisted. I had a 65 shaman Malos him, then Malosinia him for extra debuffage. (slow optional) Charm landed first attempt all four times with debuffs. I did not have a charisma buff, but it might help with those under 65. (my charisma was 75) If youíre really worried get an enchanter to tash as well. Note, from what I have read and was told the way the spell works on the puppet strings only modifies the faction enough on the turn in for the CASTER. So whoever uses the puppet strings does the turn in. Charming then having everyone turn in wonít work from what Iíve read. You'll get one turn in per Puppet Strings charge.

Pulling/Charming:
You normally don't need to pull the mob out if you invis to him to avoid aggro'ing the uber huge aggro range of the guards. The only time you might aggro the guards from my 4 turn ins is on the initial aggro/pull of the forman if a guard is pathing "near". By near, I mean the crazy assist aggro range the guards have. They can assist OFF the clipping plane.

Turn in:
Since time might be an issue, I strongly recommend putting the strings in your root inventory and having the jade ready as your cursor and forman targetted ahead of time to avoid mistargets. That way as soon as it's in turn in range you right click on the strings and turn in gem all in one second. IMO, let the mob come to you b4 you charm so you don't have to worry about wacky pathing or charm breaking as it's pathing to you.

Position:
Once you are behind the forman against the wall, continue west so youíre in the corner area of the zone edge and the outpost wall. Pull him here for the best results and minimal chance of aggro. Just debuff its resists, charm and then turn in gem ASAP. Be sure to get the gem listed above, not "jade gemstones" etc. Just the simple gem from jewelcraft vendors.

Aggroing Guards:
If you DO aggro the guards youíll know soon as you see a train coming towards you. With SoW you can just train the PoK book, zone back in (invis) run to the spawn point. Wait for the skeleton to return and the guards should be back inside the outpost and not wandering on the edge. Then you can just pull the skeleton again and all should be well. If for some reason you have further difficulties you can do your debuff on the pull, then charm as it arrives then turn in b4 the guards even show up. Or you can just wait for the guards to go out on their patrols.

USING Hammer:
Anyone being able to use this hammer makes it nice for any class, everyone should have one, except maybe a wiz/druid. :) Having unlimited gates to a PoK book is great even for most casters. Gives you more freedom with your bind spot. It first procs AT level 50. When you proc to OT, you get jumped by 1 super green skeleton at 65 (about 1200hp). Kill it there or run SW and up to the wall where you can safely root it or just kill it. If you exit the boat by running directly SW, you can avoid any further aggro. Then just hug the wall east and exit OT. As stated above you won't aggro forman as you pass if you're against the wall (at least I didn't at 65). The guard are huge aggro and quickly create a huge train so might have to be careful exiting if w/out invis. Note: you appear in the hull of one of the boats, but you can run out up through the roof.
