With pre-requisites, you see:
Commander Galenth says 'So, have you figured out what you are yet, _____? Are you a [worshiper] of the dragon, or are you a [killer] of the dragon lovers?'
You say, 'I'm a killer... Yes...'
Commander Galenth says 'That's what I need, _____: the ones who worship battle! Since we're in a pinch, though, you'll do. We don't have much time. Can you muster a [small] force or a [large] one?'

LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered Ethernere Tainted West Karana.
- Say "large" to request the expedition and "go" to zone in.
- NOTE: At no time should you get near the sentinels on the opposite side of the event area. If you do so, you will get death touched. This applies to before, during, and after the event.
- Speak with Commander Galenth to trigger the event ("help" to trigger).
- You'll have to kill five waves of mobs, and then the named "Deathmaster Sarenth".
- Upon their spawns, all hostile mobs in this event auto-aggro Commander Galenth. This NPC must be kept alive for the duration of the event. If he dies, the event immediately fails and resets. (Note: He can be healed with player spells.)
--- As the Commander (and his allies) will attack mobs, you will have to actively keep mobs' attention away from him.
- Mob types in the five waves (range from yellow-con to red-con):
--- a Doomscale arcanist
--- a Doomscale deathbender
--- a Doomscale defender
--- a Doomscale mentalist
--- a Doomscale rake (high melee DPS)
--- a Doomscale warden (targeted AE DOTs)
--- a fallen warden (known to be mezzable; targeted AE DOTs)
--- a ghostly deceiver (high melee DPS)
--- a phantasmal evoker
--- an imperator spirit
- Many of these mobs are stunnable; some are snareable/rootable.
- The first wave has around 10 mobs, and the number of mobs increases with each wave, up to around 18-19 in the fifth (this is an estimate only -- it may be more).
- Mob spreads appear to be random, so in one run-through, you could get only one "warden" in the first wave (for example) while on another run-through, you could get 3-4 of them in the first wave.
- Each wave has a timer.
--- If you don't kill an entire wave's worth of mobs within this timer, the next wave will spawn regardless of how many mobs are still up.
--- If you manage to kill all of a wave's mobs inside the timer, then the next wave spawns (regardless of where the timer may be) after a short break (approximately 15-20 seconds).
- Wave timers:
--- You have 3:00 (three minutes) to kill the first wave.
--- You have 4:25 to kill the second wave.
--- You have 5:00 to kill the third wave.
--- You have 6:00 to kill the fourth wave.
--- The timer for the fifth wave is not known.
- Once the fifth wave of mobs is dead (or the timer on the fifth wave has expired), Deathmaster Sarenth spawns and aggro's the Commander.
- Deathmaster Sarenth:
--- Casts "Blazing Rain" every 30 seconds (50' range AE DOT for 46,000 hp/tick for 4 ticks).
--- Casts "Reflective Skin" about every 60 seconds (2-tick 50% chance to reflect spells).
--- Casts "Massive Strike" every 10-20 seconds (frontal AE knockback + nuke for 57,000 hp).
- Kill Deathmaster Sarenth to complete the event.
Triggering the Event & Emotes
You say, 'Hail, Commander Galenth'
Commander Galenth says '_____! It's about time you got here! You're slower than Wagsley, and that's damn slow! Jacobson's still fooling around, trying to call reinforcements from Qeynos. We're on our own now! Are you prepared for death? You should be; it's been a slaughterhouse here. The damn cultists have been [attacking] us hard, and we're running out of meat to throw at 'em. Prove me wrong, _____: Don't be a coward and [leave]! Die a good death today!'
You say, 'Attacking?'
Commander Galenth says 'Don't stand there thinking about the lovers you'll never have, or the mountains you'll never climb, or the ale you'll never drink! Grab your weapons and [help]! With my strength, my brains, and your shields of meat, we just might pull through this! Should you need me to [engage] the enemy, or if you feel you have the fight under control, and wish me to [hold] my ground, and stand guard, just say the word.'
You say, 'We will help!'
Commander Galenth shouts 'Stand fast! Here they come again!'
At this point, the first wave spawns.
These emotes can indicate another wave has just spawned and is on its way in:
Commander Galenth says 'Fight for your homes! Fight for Qeynos! Fight for whatever the hell will make you tear the cultists apart! None shall live!'
Commander Galenth shouts 'Come, filthy dragon lovers! Throw yourselves on my sword!'
Commander Galenth flings the blood off his blade. 'The madness never ends! Here they come again!'
Commander Galenth says 'You've almost killed as many as I have! But there are plenty more chances for you to up your count and fail to compete with me! Get ready! They're swarming again!'
These are two emotes that can be seen if you kill a wave before the next one spawns:
Commander Galenth says 'You almost make me proud! You fight with intensity I've not seen since...well...when I used to spar as a new recruit! Stay alert! We're not out of this yet!'
Commander Galenth shouts 'Impressive! You actually managed to kill a few of them! But don't get full of yourself. Those damn cultists won't give up so easily!'
This emote may indicate the Commander is taking damage:
Commander Galenth clutches a wound in his side. 'Is that the best they can do? Let them attack! I'll slaughter them all!'
Noteable mobs among the five add waves are the Doomscale wardens and fallen wardens for their "Hail of Arrows" and "Headshot" abilities:
Hail of Arrows Targeted AE 100', Unresistable (-1000)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 31595 per tick (3 ticks)
Headshot: Single Target, Unresistable (-1000)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 60000
Of all the adds, they range from yellow-con to red-con (at Level 100). Many are stunnable; some are mezzable ("a fallen warden" known to be mezzable at times); some are rootable/snareable. All mobs tend to hit for a max ~26,000.
"a Doomscale rake" and "a ghostly deceiver" may have higher melee DPS output and may warp around with odd aggro (not confirmed).
Deathmaster Sarenth has approximately 430,000,000 hitpoints; hits for a max ~65,000 (does not rampage; does not flurry); and casts three spells:
Blazing Rain: AE PC v1 50', Fire (-940) (every 30 seconds)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 46980 per tick (4 ticks)
Massive Strike: Directional/Frontal 30', (0) (every 10-20 seconds)
1: Knockback (12) and Toss Up (8)
2: Decrease Hitpoints by 57910
Reflective Skin: Self 0', Unresistable (0) (every 60 seconds)
1: Increase Chance to Reflect Spell by 50% (2 ticks)
Deathmaster Sarenth has been slain by _____!
Commander Galenth spits upon the corpse of the Deathmaster. 'Now nothing stands between us and the dragon. By sunset tomorrow we'll have its head gracing the guards' garrison!'
At this point, a chest spawns with loot.
You say, 'Hail, Commander Galenth'
Commander Galenth says 'Hail, indeed. The Deathmaster is dead, and though you proved something more than useless, I cannot imagine you can be of any further assistance. You may [leave] whenever you wish.'
NOTE: In addition to chest loot, everyone in the zone receives 10x "Medal of Heroism" (used as an alternative way obtain raid drops, from Requisitioner Sheon (map image), the Tier 1 raid vendor in the northwestern Qeynos camp of the Ethernere Tainted West Karana).
