|This group mission is the third in a series of five. It begins with "Beal the Minstrel" (click for map image) on the island of Jardel's Hook in the Buried Sea, at about /location 140, 3035.
Pre-requisites for Requesting:
- Completion of "The Mystery of Aviak Island"
- Completion of "Finding a Way to Understand"
You say, 'Hail, Beal the Minstrel'
Beal the Minstrel is humming to himself and smiles. 'Always a pleasure to see you again, ______! No doubt the mysteries of the Windsong have compelled you as much as they compel me. Have the time to assist me again in searching for it? Perhaps you could [have another look] around Redfeather Isle?'
You say, 'I can have another look.'
Beal the Minstrel says 'Johnny said he heard music on the western islets of Redfeather. The way he described it, it could have been chirping possibly, but it could also be whistling. Start your search there and watch out for the natives.'
You have been assigned the task 'The Windsong Compels You . . .'.
Beal the Minstrel wants you to find the metal tower with the blue brazier and investigate. In this area you may find the missing lyrics of the Windsong that Beal desparately wants. If you need to leave the island, use the row boat to exit.
Purchase tickets to Redfeather Isle and catch the boat 0/1 (The Buried Sea)
Buy a "Seafarer's Ticket: Redfeather Isle" from Dockmaster Angus at the dock (nearby) and keep it in your inventory. When the ship docks, step onto it and wait for it to sail out to the Buried Sea. Upon zoning, you'll find yourself in an instanced version of the island. (Next to you is a rowboat that serves as your zone-out.)
Dockmaster Angus says 'You look like you've been at sea on a dangerous mission for a while? Perhaps you plan to head back out, in which case you're going to need to purchase another ticket before boarding the Isabeau.'
Find the large tower with the blue flame 0/1 (Redfeather Isle)
This is the 'steps' structure on the southern coast (central). Upon stepping towards the flame, you see:
Garuda the Sea Caller shouts something that sounds like a warning. He must be calling reinforcements!
Defeat the Stormscape Sea Callers defending Garuda 0/15 (Redfeather Isle)
These mobs come running to Gurada's location in waves of three at a time. They each hit for a max ~1,300; have ~60,000 hitpoints; and are stunnable and mezzable. These waves of mobs are separated by about 60 seconds.
Once the 15th sea caller dies, Gurada the Sea Singer becomes active:
Garuda the Sea Caller yells a battle shout and begins to attack you!
Slay the Caller, he may have something important 0/1 (Redfeather Isle)
Kill Gurada the Sea Singer and loot "Piece of the Windsong Lyric Sheet" from its corpse. Gurada hits for a max ~1,400; single-target rampages; has ~65,000 hitpoints; and is stunnable and mezzable.
Gurada the Sea Singer squawks loudly as it approaches.
Gurada the Sea Singer has been slain by _____!
Gurada the Sea Singer's corpse shudders as it crashes to the ground.
Your faction standing with Stormscape Aviaks has been adjusted by -6.
Your faction standing with King Peleke has been adjusted by -3.
Return to Beal with the lyric sheets, he will certainly want to look at these 0/1 (The Buried Sea)
With the missing lyric sheet of the Windsong Beal will be pleased. However, there is still much to acquire.
- Doubloons (varies)
- Faction with Blacksail Smugglers (+20)
