This task begins with Lady Carolline of Thex in Northern Felwithe. She is located at 0, -170 (on the balcony overlooking the entrance: you can use the Find Feature, CTRL+F, to get to her).



Initiating the Task

You say, 'Hail, Lady Carolline of Thex'

Lady Carolline of Thex smiles, trying to hide an obvious air of sadness, 'Greetings adventurer, such a lovely day isn't it?' The pained look on her face clearly gives away that something is [wrong].

You say, 'What's wrong?'

Lady Carolline of Thex says 'Wrong? Oh, nothing really. My beloved is off again on some [excursion] and has yet to return. I'm quite sure he will be fine though. How I miss our adventures together, the time we would spend exploring the hidden beauty of Norrath. We were especially fond of [Antonica].'

You say, 'Why were you fond of Antonica?'

Lady Carolline of Thex says 'A lovely land, despite the efforts of humans to ruin it...' The Koada`Dal's smile becomes more sincere. 'Lake Rathetear, oh the [stories] I could share of moonlit nights sitting on the docks. The noble aviaks keeping ardent guard over the sacred flame, the sunken towers and legend of the Megalodon...' She sighs and looks up to the sky.'

You say, 'What stories could you share?'

Lady Carolline of Thex blinks and looks back to you, her demeanor changing. 'Tell you what stranger, you come up with an [interesting tale] to distract me from my boredom, and I'll see if I can find something to [reward] you for your effort.'

You say, 'What reward would that be?'

Lady Carolline of Thex says 'Hmm, already pondering your riches before the effort of imagination? I suppose not many adventurers care to put any effort into their journeys these days.' The young high elf sighs. 'Anyway, what you will be rewarded with is something befitting a _____ such as yourself.'

You say, 'I have an interesting tale to tell'

Lady Carolline of Thex says, 'Something grand, truly epic and interesting! Just let me know when you've thought of a suitable story.'

Hail her for the final update.



The Event

-As you zone in, you will get an emote telling you to speak with a froglok (Shin Bram Krito), who lying by the pond just ahead of you.
-If you simply try to run further into the zone, you will be banished back to the zone line. You must talk to Shin Bram Krito.
-Hail Shin and it will activate the sequence of events (you may need to use F8 to target him for the hail).
-You will then be attacked by two (2) vampires. After they are dead, two (2) werewolves will attack you.
-The next encounter will be in the canyon on the way to the graveyard, where you will face one (1) specter, followed by two (2) more specters.
-At the graveyard, you will encounter two (2) versions of the undead hag, Tiffany.
-When they are dead, you will face a wave of as many as eighteen (18) zombies (don't let that scare you).
-Next up will be Guard Captain Alkirk.
-Once he is dead, it is time to head down the tunnel to the back of the castle, where you will encounter Estranged Emissary of Thule, who will summon a few Infuriated Raven.
-Use the spell 'Blinding Flash' on Infuriated Raven to kill them and harm the Estranged Emissary of Thule.
-Repeat until he is dead.
-Now it's time to go up the ramp, into the castle and into the back of the ball room where you will face three (3) gargoyles.
-Use stuns to weaken and damage them until they are dead.
-You will then be attacked by Drelan V'Dal.
-Once he is dead, Debra will attack you.
-Once she is dead, Xicotl will summon you to him and then attack you.
-When Xicotl dies, head to the basement to the dead end room... but first make sure you have at least one (1) stun and a direct heal loaded up on your spell bar.
-As you enter the back of the room, Agent of The Third will stun you (you will not be able to move), summon Shin Bram Krito into the room.
-Agent of The Third will then attack you (you should be able to move again).
-To defeat Agent of The Third, stun him (stun spells only, it seems -- not AA stuns) and then throw a heal towards Shin Bram Krito who will use the moment to damage The Third.
-After a few rounds of this, it will be just you versus Agent of The Third, who will die pretty quick to your slay undead.
-Once Agent of The Third is dead, the update for this step, will take place.

So, you don't need to use the flash of light on the ravens. Maybe it makes them die immediately, I don't know, but I didn't have the spell so I just murdered them with melee and it worked fine.

To Beat the Third:

Move your way to the Crypt you will be summoned once you get close to the room. After some text you will be attacked by The Third, to kill him, you have to stun him until you see the emote "You've got him disabled, heal my spirit and allow me to damage the beast". Target Krito at that time and give him a direct heal (Use a direct heal spell - those are the red spells, dont use purple {heal target's target}) . Shin Bram Krito will blast the third like 20%. Just go back and forth between a stun and a heal. The right stun spell will immediately bring up the emote. You will only be able to hit the third for 1pt of damage so dont worry about killing him but DO NOT USE BASH. Bash will be effective against him and you will kill him and bug the quest. you must do stun, then heal for the quest to complete. Once the mob is at 40% do it one last time and you should get this emote: "The third deflects Krito's attempt to attack him....." . At that time EQUIP YOUR EPIC and kill him like normal, You will get the emote: "The indescribable warmth of your god escapes blah blah blah.... "; "the dark creature's flesh begins to burn. He lets out an ear-piercing screech in reaction to your holy blade". After that, your quest will update (but not immediately) . There will be another emote after "you have slain the third". Then you get the final update.

If you have to restart just zone out and wait 5 mintues. If you zone in and get the messsage like "there is another knight making his way through the castle..." then you didn't wait long enough.

Updated, thanks. Oddly it was listed as being in Felwithe with no known way of obtaining it (so shouldn't have had a zone attributed to it).
Pally event Steps

Help the Guktan

Run up to the Guktan, and Hail it, after, Scavenger of the Keeps will spawn and attack, kill them. After some text, 2 werewolves will spawn and attack, kill them as well


Head to the Graveyard

Run up to the Graveyard next, you will find Tiffany there, she will attack, kill her. After, waves of mobs will attack, kill them. After that, Guard Captain Alkrik Ruklin will attack, kill it, you can stun him to knock the blind off of you


Moving East

Move East to Estranged Emissary of Thule, attack it. The ravens during this fight can be flash of lighted, kill the mobs


On to the Ballroom

Move up the ramp and into the main building Ballroom, inside gargoyles will attack, to kill them use magic spells on them. After that, you will be attacked by Drelan V`Dal, kill him, then you will be attacked by Debra, kill her. After, kill Xicotl in the Bedroom (he should summon you there)




Beat the Third

Move your way to the Crypt. After some text you will be attacked by The Third, to kill him, stun him and then heal Shin Bram Krito, repeat this until The Third is at 40%, afterwards you can kill him like normal, using any of your epics while attacking him will kill him faster. After that this will complete

/hint.- save time, drop these locs to your maps.

No need for merc/help. Just run around w/ your pony to the locs till you kill off bunch of vampires in Mistmoore Castle. I think hardest hit was ~200, maybe.

Do NOT use a dps or tank mercenary during the last fight with The Third. It seems mercenary DPS on The Third is unaffected by the requirement for you to heal Shin first. As a 100 pally with melee dps merc up, my merc pretty much killed The Third in 10 seconds and thus bypassed the healing part of the script, and bugged the task out. The Third just lays there appearing to be dead, but is untargetable and the task won't update. I had to zone back out of Mistmoore, and when I zoned back in the script had completely reset with the frog laying near the zone-in. Had to redo the entire Mistmoore script.

is the final battle with the third timed? i did everything but couldnt remember where the crypt was..after running around and going back to graveyard and down the trap i worked my way in...i found what is the crypt but no third. Any help appreciated. Or will i have to do all over again since it is timed

Never encountered any timing troubles with this quest, if anything, it's too damn long a quest for a simple ornamentation that looks like your epic. Only plus side is you can get multiple ornamentations of the same one, it's not a: one and done kind of limitation. So I'm going to go: no, it's not timed.

I broke it

I killed the third, or rather my merc got the kill shot, but the task did not update. I left the zone and came back, did not reset the step. I don't feel like doing all the running again when all the other steps are complete. Any ideas?

Also, during this quest, with the Jaggedpines update, you will also have a SMALL DOLERITE SHARD (No Trade, Magic, All/All, Weight 1.2) appear on your cursor.

Across the river, there is the start of some Druid rings.Standing by them is Arben Leafsway:

Bonzz: Hail, Arben Leafsway

Arben Leafsway wipes away sweat from his brow and looks up at you and smiles, 'Good day, Bonzz. While it's not much to look at yet, you are standing on the site that will someday be Norrath's latest druidic monument. It will take a lot of material to construct this sacred relic, but I have full faith in the help of passing adventurers. If you happen to come across any rare stones, dolerite or the like, feel free to set them on the pillars and I'll get around to shaping them into form.

Standing by the pillar, click the Small Dolerite Shard:

You set the small shard of stone down next to the pillar. A small contribution to the ambitious project.

As you survey the unfinished monument you get the feeling that there will be reason to return here when it is complete.

This task as the same for EVERY class -- the only difference is which step they get the special activated event.

The West Freeport update, it is suggested that you come back after you finish this task.

When you do go back, a window will pop up asking, "Would you like to attend the Arcane Fair?" If you choose yes you are get an expedition window (one to six players). for "The Arcane Fair",

Just stand there a few seconds and you will be ported into the instance. Once you enter, the message says you have entered The Arcane Fair. In the Guild Window you appears to be in West Freeport. So, I guess the zone name should be :Freeport West: The Arcane Fair.

There appears to be no timer and many of the buildings and pathways are blocked off. Basically there is a fair going on and many NPC's, the Freeport Militia on duty and a few NPC's. About 4 of the NPC's give tasks. Two of the four give three versions of the same simple tasks (one is a drinking game, one if betting on a footrace), and another is a clockwork that you fight over and over and he "gets harder" each time (while his "con" went up, he just got harder to kill and I was never in danger of death). These three NPC's give you Bronze Point (No Trade, Tiny, All/All) coins that you can use to buy items form the fourth NPC. These are placeable items, but for one.

Corram MulHanney gives: Drink to Complete (First), Drink to Complete (Second) & Drink to Complete (Third)

Selif gives Battle Against Selif

Belgrad Aysarg gives: A Matter of Luck (First), A Matter of Luck (Second) & A Matter of Luck (Third).

Krelneck Robstein gives Preview the Prizes.... all this task seems to do is allow you to preview the six items you can buy with the coins (1 to 100 costs) and there seems to be no way to finish it. If you cite the name of the item, you will get a window that asks if you want to actually by it or not.

In fact, he even tells you, not to be compelled to hold on to an endless quest!
