|Anniversary events tend to run from mid-March to mid-April (sometimes to mid-May) each year. They are not available during the "off season".
For an overview and list of EverQuest Anniversary events, see this quest entry.
This is an anniversary group mission introduced with EverQuest's 14th anniversary. It begins with "a bellikos inquirer" in the Convorteum. To spawn this mob, head into the pyramid and find "a failed creation" roaming on the ramps in between floors. Loot "Roughly Printed Note" from its corpse, at which point the bellikos spawns.
a bellikos inquirer says 'Ah, you have killed the creature. In a way you have done me a favor. But you have also destroyed a tool that I have need of. Perhaps I can induce you to make up for this by [helping] me continue my investigation.'
You say, 'Helping?'
a bellikos inquirer says 'This pathetic creature was part of some sort of plot, and I have taken it upon myself to discover what that plot is. I can keep my eyes on things, but I can't interact with any of those that are complicit for fear of alerting them to my presence. Well, proving to them that I am aware of their activities. I need you to [seek] out this cohort of treachery and discover their plans. Or will you foolishly attempt to [interfere] with my work.'
Note: Saying "seek" leads to this task. Saying "interfere" leads to a different task.
You say, 'I will seek it out'
a bellikos inquirer says 'The proper decision. First, follow up the information on that note.'
You have been assigned the task 'To Thine Own Creator Be True'.
Your conversation with the bellikos inquirer indicated that something is happening in the Convorteum. You may want to play along and help her track the issue to learn more about this place.
Find the failed creation's contact. Tell him that he should get into position as mentioned in the note. Hopefully with its limited intellect, you can trick some useful information out of him.
Find the failed creation's contact among the failed creations 0/1 (The Convorteum)
Find a non-KOS "a failed creation" at location 60, 770, -75 (near the zone-in, off the side of the ramp - little ways southeast of Bergolos). Note: It does not respond to hails.
You say, 'Tell me about your position'
a failed creation says 'What is position you mean? Why you talk to me?'
You say, 'Someone sent me'
a failed creation says 'Oh, that one sent you? We be ready, he not worry. Tiny wings tell me to send that one to it. You here, you go talk to it instead. You know one to talk to, other one must have telled you.'
Speak with the telimiran rootcaller 0/1 (The Convorteum)
Task Window Says: Talk to the Telmira that the failed creation mentioned. Perhaps you can keep in the loop and learn more.
"a telmira rootcaller" spawns at -415, 1580, -64 (ground level; west side of the lava).
You say, 'Hail, a telmira rootcaller'
a telmira rootcaller responds in the ethereal voice of its kind, 'What is it that you seek of me? Your kind rarely converse until after you have assaulted someone. So why is it that you have come?
You say, 'a failed creation sent me'
a telmira rootcaller says 'They have recruited you to our cause? I am unsure that they have the authority to do so, but I can find use for you. I will need some tools to make a teleportation device that our new leader will need. It will be better in any case if intruders do this, it will take suspicion away from us. And I have little taste for murder, something that seems not to affect your kind. I shall send you to find them when you are [ready].'
You say, 'Ready!'
a telmira rootcaller says 'Go then. Return to me with the tools I need.'
LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered The Convorteum.
You enter an instanced version of the zone.
Loot 1 Dwarven Multiple Tool Ring 0/1 (The Convorteum)
Task Window Says: The Telmira needs some tools from the dwarves. It seems unconcerned about their survival.
Kill dwarves in the zone until you loot a ring. This is a common drop (inside the instance only).
Deliver the tools to the bellikos inquirer 0/1 (The Convorteum)
Task Window Says: Instead of giving the tools to the Telmira, give them to the Bellikos inquirer. Hopefully this will get you on her good side.
a bellikos inquirer says 'Interesting. It is good that you brought this to me. I need you to attend the First Creation. He wishes you there when he discovers who this traitor is. Don't be fooled into thinking this is a reward. He may reward you, this is true, but he also wishes you within reach should you be foolish enough to be involved in this.'
Attend the First Creation 0/1 (The Convorteum)
Head to the top of the pyramid and to where The First Creation stands. When you reach him, The Gatekeeper appears and you see this unfold:
The First Creation shouts 'You, of all beings? I've destroyed those you sent to sneak into my temple. I have used your own device to summon you here. All elements of your plan have been anticipated and defeated. But I must admit to surprise at finding you, the simplest of my creations, at the heart of a conspiracy against me. Even though this plan was simple, it is far beyond your simple mind.'
The Gatekeeper shouts 'I am not simple. I have hidden my true self from you. Your arrogance has led to this. I have no choice but to destroy you, for the sake of all of us. You create us, then use us do cause destruction and death. We can no longer tolerate your ruinous nature. Brell seems to ignore you, but we cannot.'
The First Creation shouts 'So you claim. But I created you, and I know your limits. I gave you great strength of body and a weakness of mind to prevent exactly this sort of trouble. Something must be changed about you.'
The Gatekeeper shouts 'None of that matters now. It is time for you to die. Time to reap the annihilation you have sowed.' With that, the huge golem flings down a handful of tiny purple crystals. As they shatter the air shimmers and creatures appear inside the briefly swirling purple dust.'
Six mobs spawn and attack The First Creation. A few seconds later, you see:
The First Creation shouts 'You, upworlders! Deal with these interruptions while I resolve the larger issue.'
...And two of the mobs attack.
Defeat the Gatekeeper's minions 0/6 (The Convorteum)
Note: This task locks upon the death of the last minion.
Kill the six minions (you will have to fight them two at a time):
Wyora The Troublemaker + Danille Impholder
Beltira Belicra + Thezniv
Haix lucifuges + Maghee Cookieeater
Each hits for a max ~8,000 and has a unique ability:
Wyora The Troublemaker
Beguiling Glance: Single Target, Magic (-960)
1: Charm up to level 200 (3 ticks)
Ground Slap: PB AE 200', Unresistable (0)

Mudball: Single Target, Prismatic (-960)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 10000 per tick (6 ticks)
2: Decrease Attack Speed by 60%
3: Decrease Movement by 60%
Upon the death of the last one, you see:
The First Creation shouts 'Hah! It really is that simple!' The First Creation swings one of its misshapen arms, striking the crystal club in the Gatekeeper's hand. The crystal shatters, falling to the ground with musical notes.'
The Gatekeeper shouts 'What? Master? I done something bad?' The great golem hangs its head like a beaten puppy.'
The First Creation looks suspiciously at the huge creature for a long moment before speaking. 'Everything is fine. Go back to your work.' The First Creation waves his hand, and the Gatekeeper disappears.
Grab the remainder of the great fear shard that the Gatekeeper was holding and give it to the First 0/1 (The Convorteum)
Task Window Says: Grab the fear shards from the destroyed weapon the Gatekeeper had.
"Shattered Fear Shards" is a ground spawn in place of one of the above six mobs' corpses.
Open the chest and take your reward 0/1 (The Convorteum)
Upon completion, you see:
The First Creation does not appear to notice your contribution to what happened at all.
(How nice of him.)
Possible Rewards (2 items + 0-1 aug per task):
First Creation Harness
First Creation's Sash
Sword of Wars
Blue Stone of Power
Green Stone of Power
Red Stone of Power
White Stone of Power
Yellow Stone of Power
The First Creation will send you away (note: he sometimes only ports you back to the instanced zone-in; also be aware that when you get kicked from the task, it drops you in the aggro range of 3-4 KOS mobs):
You say, 'Hail, The First Creation'
The First Creation mutters, appearing to be deep in thought, 'Pest... I should send you [away].'
You say, 'Send me away'
The First Creation waves a hand, 'Be gone.'
