The Grimling War is the absolute best place/time/event to do this achievement. Talk to the Veteran, follow them to the camp. When you receive the instructions to kill soldiers before clerics (Camp 4), do the exact opposite: Kill only a grimling soulsoother, and it will respawn instantly. Target, kill, target, kill, repeat for as long as you can stand.

Nerfed unfortunately. After getting this from the Veteran, the 4th camp itself did not have an the 'a grimling soulsoother'. There was one of these in the zone in the tunnels leading to Arclyia Caverns (was a PH for a named on my Brewell's map). Mob did not intsa-respawn.
I was able to trigger this yesterday, and have been regularly farming Ornate Defiant sets for new players. It's still working; perhaps you got one of the other camps?

After getting the lower level slays, this one should be progressed right along. I finished up in Wall of Slaughter.
Not everything counts... Dragorns, Bazu, Chimera are "Creatures" that do count.

Get about 120 mobs per round in this zone, taking 16 to 18 minutes. One can work the wall and one side of the zone (one with the Dragorns) without a break. Dragorns are on the wall (both top and bottom). Tip- on top of wall use the Dragorn's summoning ability to get across between the top of wall. There are essentially two small Dragorn camps nears the wall staircase, and two larger camps in the zone. Also clear the caves of the Murkgliders, these mob types do count towards this achievement.
