Niblek may be found deep in Chardok at 512, -104, -291.

You say, 'Hail, Niblek'.

Niblek says 'You want something from Niblek? Niblek find treasures in walls. Niblek like to trade treasures.'

You say, 'What treasures do you want to trade?'

Niblek says 'Niblek find piece of old jewelry! It very old, probably has much power!'

You say, 'What do you want to trade for your old piece of jewelry?'

Niblek says 'Niblek likes shiny tings very much! You want old jewelry, you bring Niblek two shiny tings! Niblek has seen black sapphire and ruby!! Niblek likes them very much!'

If you give these to him, you get some experience and a 'Piece of Medallion'. When Identified, it's the Top Shard of the Kylong Medallion, which is needed for the Medallion of Kylong Quest.

Niblek says, 'I much happy now! I want shiny tings for long time! I give you ugly broken necklace now!'

There are no faction hits.

I tried to get more out of him, but wasn't successful. Either that or that's his whole dialogue. He's at loc +497.33, -117.03, -287.95. If you're coming from the Herbalist's hut, take the left path at the fork and you will see him up against the NW wall. He's the little rat. :-) He cons indiff to everyone. I haven't killed him so I don't know what faction hits you get from him if any.

Poor little Nibbles is way down there. Fortunately he's on his own faction. A simple thing to do is to find someone with non-KOS faction, (I am ally btw, and did this for someone in my guild) and have them run down and whack poor Nibbles once. Nibbles will pursue, and you can lead Nibbles all the way to the zone in. At that point, you can either memblur, charm, or root-and-zone to lose aggro. Anyone who has to do the turn in can do it at the turn in. Nothing attacked either Nibbles or I when I did this.

An easy way also is to have a non-KOS mage run down to him and coth the person right next to him. Nothing is close enough to aggro, then just gate/port out. Easy as pie.

Does he despawn when handed the gems, or can multiple people do the quest at once?

Multiple people can do this. We did it last night.

Found him at p505 n105 following these directions.

I can generally describe how to get to Niblek. If you follow the tunnel down into the slave pits, hug the right wall. Niblek's spawn is one of the last of the slave spawns. However, I've noticed that he isn't always up. It may be necessary to kill some slaves to get him to spawn.

My faction in Chardok is WARMLY. I've heard that there are quests that can be done in Chardok. I've hailed every NPC I can reach (ie, not behind locked doors) and Niblek is the only one who will talk to me. Anyone know where the rest of the quest mobs are? If Verant locked them all behind the doors I am going to go postal...

the herald on the way in to chardok will give you a nice ring if you get almost to ally with him. you can hand him green goblin skins and salt from the mines of droga to gain faction. there is a quest for 2nd ring from the herald and a quest for a 3rd item from the queen I think if you complete the ring quests.
Where is he?

Anyone know how far down/where Neblik is?

#Anonymous, Posted: May 17 2001 at 2:48 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Does Niblek move around, or can someone provide a loc?
#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 15 2000 at 2:23 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Recently found out on a raid, Rubies are NOT needed to finish this. We gave him a black sapphire, and recieved the medallion piece, later giving him a ruby didnt even get a thanks but wheres the rest
RE: rubies
# Sep 17 2000 at 12:09 PM Rating: Good
I would make sure to have the ruby with me anyway - you might have just hit the "multi-part" quest feature :) You know, where one person gives in one item, then the next gives the other half, and gets the reward. Until he despawns, if someone was down there a week ago, and had a ruby on him, and said, "what the heck, lets see what happens", and gave him a ruby, you could then give him a black sapphire, and he would be content that he had gotten both pieces.

Now, if I just knew where the slave area was - the maps are great, but it isnt labeled on there!

I second this notion - or someone had misread and given him a normal sapphire and a ruby thus only solving the quest 50%.

Lots of quest on Kunark doesn't yield the accustomed 'thanks but where is the rest' message but only give a message upon full completion of quest.

I can confirm. Killing him doesn't yield the medallion pieces. Black sapphies are easy enough to get these days. Rubies are vendor purchaseable. Sheesh leave the cute little rat man alone, big meanies. :P

Killing him does NOT yield any medallion pieces. He is empty, WAY, WAY green, and has around a pitiful 100 hp. Just bring the gems.
