Lysbith McNaff may be found at (553, -414) in the Pit o Doom of Halas.

    You say, 'Hail, Lysbith McNaff'

Lysbith McNaff says 'Hail! Ye've come to [serve Halas], have ye not? We're the Wolves o' the North and it is our task to defend our city from harm.'

    You say, 'I serve Halas'

Lysbith McNaff says 'Halas is surrounded by barren arctic tundra. We've many foes. Among them are the [orc troopers], [ice goblins] and the ever-present polar bears.'

    You say, 'What orc troopers?'

Lysbith McNaff says 'So. Ye think yerself strong enough to battle the snow orc troopers? I pray to the Tribunal that ye are. If ye can return to me four wrath orc wristbands from the troopers' bodies, I'll reward ye with the [Seax].'

    You say, 'What Seax?'

Lysbith McNaff says 'The Seax is a Northman warrior's piercing weapon. Dinnae confuse this with another [weapon] related to the Seax called the Langseax. The local rogues have also learned to master the Seax. I'll only offer it to those who battle the [orc troopers].'

After handing in four wrath orc wristbands:

Lysbith McNaff says 'Ye're becoming a fine champion o' Halas. Take th' Seax. May ye always defend Halas!'

Couldn't get this quest at first at amiable, but after gaining about 110 faction points, I could get it. Still amiable so faction needed looks to be some where in amiable.

The factions I received for completing this quest were as follows:

    Wolves of the North better
    Shamen of Justice better
    Merchants of Halas better
    Steel Warriors better
    the worst reward

you wanna know a reward that's worst then this? try doing the quest where you recover the remains, thought it must be really good, cause it took quite some time, combine his remains, hand it in, oh sweet, 1 copper and a short sword.

    faction for it

It should be noted that faction has alot to do with this quest. I was amiable with her and she kept telling me to **** off (in that special barbarian way...) until one day I turned in a couple sets of fangs and asked "What orc troopers?" and she gave me the quest finally - and i was STILL amiable. So it's mid to high amiable faction that you need to do it.
    wrong...
    # Jul 30 2001 at 7:36 PM Rating: Default
This is wrong. You gotta be lvl 8 to do this. The orcs are lvl 8. also Yes this quest stinks on ice. And bout' the Cindl comment.. Yes it is a better reward but you lose faction with the Rogues guild, Which may make you KOS with the banker so dont turn in to many to her. Though with this quest you don't lose any with them
    Better idea
    # Jul 24 2001 at 2:46 PM Rating: Default
A far better use for the orc wristbands is to give two to Cindl at Mac's Kilts, she gives you leather armour which you can then sell for more cash for half the effort. Also I wouldn't try taking Orcs on the tundra until your atleast level 8 as they're pretty tough and you can get swamped by other creatures while fighting.
In other words - don't bother.

How much does it sell for maybe its a good quest to do if the seax sells for some good money

i just started a barb warrior and first joined the guild and then talked to her and she gave me to enemies to try (it was orc troopers and i think something goblins). I choosed the orcs and got this quest.

The levels are fine. Sure, the orc snow troopers are tough. They're DESIGNED to be tough. And for level 8, this is what level of weapon you're SUPPOSED to be using if you're untwinked. The game wasn't designed with twinking and powerleveling and uber-gearing in mind. So if it seems kinda dumpy for a level 8 weapon, just remember that a level 8 barbarian is supposed to be still having trouble in Blackburrow with Gnolls, and the kind of lewt they're supposed to be getting of their mobs is mostly rusty weapons and cloth armor.

I say don't sweat it so much. It's just a game. Have fun. I try and do as many quests as I can because they're more involved than just camping and farming. They give me something to do. And they're fun. If the items aren't that great, oh well, it's not that big a deal to me. The items WILL eventually get to be VERY good.

    Worst quest in the game?
    # Jan 11 2001 at 9:00 AM Rating: Default
I consider this the worst quest in the game, the dagger isn't even magical. Does anyone know about a quest with an even worse reward?
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 12 2000 at 3:16 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I think I can speak for everyone on this topic. Please people when you know that someone has been camping for a long time, don't pester them about when they are going to leave. Don't sit down next to them to "wait" until they are done. You might be waiting a long time and then the time it takes for you to complete your camp on top of that. The NPC will always respawn and will always be there. Just ask them kindly if they will send you a tell when they are done and 9 times out of 10 they will. These players are tired from camping that long of a period and quite understandably a little grouchy and become extremely nervous at the thought of someone possibly stealing their kill. So, be courteous.
    This Weapon is Garbage

I don't why they bothered with this one. The seax is little better then a rusty dagger.
What faction to you gain and lose?

    Disapointing
    # Jul 02 2000 at 9:49 AM Rating: Decent
Considering you can buy a normal dagger for about 1pp which has the stats 3/20 I dont see the point in doing this quest at all unless used to raise faction.
