This is a shared task (1-6 players) that begins with Galdamil in Evantil, the Vile Oak. He's found at -665, -200, 4. This is at the base of the tree, just east of the ramp that leads upwards from the ground level.

Galdamil says 'Hello, fellow traveler! Isn't that tree glorious? A friend of mine in Ak'anon told me about it and I just had to see it for myself. I'm sorry, how rude of me. I didn't introduce myself. I am Galdamil. Say, do you think you could [help] me with something?'

Galdamil says 'I am about to build a rather fantastic puppet and I need the best wood available. Some wood from that tree would be great. The problem is that the tree is as hard as steel and my axe can't even make a dent in it. Perhaps some wood from the saplings wandering about nearby would suffice. Do you think you could [gather some wood] from the saplings for me? I'm not much of a fighter, and those saplings don't look too friendly.'

A gnome named Galdamil has traveled to Evantil to obtain some wood to make a puppet. He requires your assistance to help gather the materials needed to construct the puppet.

Wretched Alarans spawn in great numbers inside the tree.

Give the Wretched Alaran Heart to Galdamil 0/1 (Evantil, the Vile Oak)

Speak with Galdamil 0/1 (Evantil, the Vile Oak)

This triggers the spawn of "Lamont" who then attacks you (some puppet!).
