Hi im a 60 enc and having a very harsh time here. I hunted PoG for like only 1 day 1 time and now this muffin Dwarf guy is KoS to me. I tryed the invis trick but its changed now and what happens is as soon as you put the muffins or try to put them in the trade window he attacks you. If you charm him and put in trade window and then have friend invis you and hit trade just as invis breaks the charm,.. it does give him the muffins but it just says "im not quite sure what i can do with this". If there is any way that is CERTAIN to raise this NPC's Faction plz let me know cause Verant has really gone out of there way to **** many off here cause this is straight up ************* So again if anyone has any information on how to raise faction with this NPC or a way to give him the fuggen muffins if you are KOS plz POST IT HERE!!!!!

Well I have the same problem. Hunted in PoG once. Fun place. Trying to fix my faction with ole Tunare...well.
Invis, Camo, and Wolfform don't help. So if anyone has any ideas, let me know.

Saw a post from a Verant employee on the everquest.com forums (might have been Absor) that said basically that they don't think it ought to be possible to redeem yourself in Tunare's eyes after going to Her home plane and slaughtering Her minions (don't flame me, just passing along what I've heard).

I handed in several stacks, got faction & it says experience, but when I finished and was regarded as an ally, the ward didn't show. I made sure I duplicated what they said above, but nothing made the 'ward' apear... Anyone know if he's somewhere else that I can talk to him?

He cons warmly to me. I baked a bunch of muffins since the only place to buy them is thurgadin and I didn't want to run there. I gave them to him one at a time and 4 at a time. I got no exp and no faction changes. He gives a message that says something like thanks but i don't know what to do with these. Has any reported to verant that this quest is broken now?

it works, but you cannot use baked muffins they must be store bought

Thanks for the info. I had read on another site that he did take baked muffins, which is clearly not true based on my experience. Oh well looks like I have 6 stacks of muffins to eat, lol.

Hiya I cant get him to give me faction at all or exp? He cons aprehensively. I hand him 4 sets of 4 muffins my wizzy hubby even invised me and all i get out of him is umm not sure what to do with this but ohh thanks! nothing else no faction statement or exp one. What can i be doing wrong??

as noted before, the muffins MUST be store bought, if you are able to bake muffins then do the muffin restock quest (which requires 10) to get the baker to resupply, once resupplied you can buy 4 stacks before you wipe out the baker

If you get someone to root him, and then while he's aggro on the other guy, could you hand in the muffins that way, my guess is no, but worth a shot =)

I did the quest today (June 14, 2001) and turned in 4 stacks of 20 muffins and i didn't recieve and faction adjustments, just the "you gain experience" and whatever Pandos says when he recieves them. Though, i did have to charm him due to the fact i've been fighting in PoG for awhile. Well, i decided that PoG sux so i want my Felwith faction back. Does the charming nullify faction changes or does it just not give faction in return anymore?
P.S. I bought the muffins in thurgadin, it's sold in the meat shop, as well as normal loaves of bread rather than those damn rations /rude.

When you charm MoBs to complete quests you don't get faction adjustments. Don't ask why, you just can't get faction.

Will running this quest make the merchants of freeport do business with me if they normally would not?
No. All of the factions raised are located in Felwithe or Kelethin. Easy ways to raise your Coalition of Tradesfolk faction are the "Note for Rebby" and "Note for Janaam" quests. Both of these quests involve taking notes from East Freeport to someone in West Freeport and lower no factions in the process.

I just wanted to do this so that I, a ranger of Kanara, can attempt the Trueshot Longbow quest. I went to Pincia Brownloe, no muffins. I even told Pandos that I got the miffins from the Brownloe bakery, and sure enough, he walks over there. But on the vendor, no muffins =o(

No they have NOT nerfed this quest...the lack of muffins just has to do with the problems in the Karana's visit your local newspaper salesperson to get the latest reports!!

The lack of muffins is tied in with the lack of bread in the stores too. I guess this is another way Verant says: "stop playing our game." I can't forage fruit to make the muffins, I can't get my baking skill to 135 affordably to make the stinking muffins, yet as a paladin I MUST get my faction with the Clerics of Tunare to above amiable (many paladin quests are built upon that faction).
Making a story line is nice, but when the story line becomes a critical block in what folks need to do to play their characters, then it becomes a defect in the product - the game.

What faction is needed inorder to gain the faction adjustments here? Would dubious work or must you have indifferent?

Would it be suicide to attempt to go to Crushbone and kill orcs until your Dubious with FC? Then you simply do the 'have a mage cast invisible on you while in trade window' trick to use this quest to attempt to max out faction (1k muffins).
You can always fix you Indigo Faction later by killing a few elves.

I am trying to get my Ro Armour and needed to raise faction with the Cleric's of Tunare. I coned indifferently to this guy before I gave him any muffins. THIS GUY CAN EAT MUFFINS! I fed him 800 muffins which cost me only 6cp each and went from indifferently to Regards you as an ally, yes 800 muffins. What an easy quest!

What is Pandros's faction? I went to PoG once and am KoS to him but my DE ench friend has been to PoG way more than me and cons warmly to him. I do not think he is freeport faction because again both the ench and myself (a paladin) are KoS to Freeport guards. Is he a dwarf cleric or something?

this is for dwarves to maintain kaladim faction when doing PoG, you will still becom kos to elves
the dwarf just happens to help maintin faction while doing PoG for dwarves. He wasn't placed in freeport cause of PoG ;)

Important note ... you can feed him 5 muffins at a time in each of the 4 slots giving you 20 faction improvements at a time.
I am a Paldin of the 35 season. I had previously fed the fellow named Pandos many a fort night ago.
Alas, I was working on one of the MANY time consuming Paladin quests and found that I could advance no further until my faction was improved to above amiable with the Clerics of Tunare.
Ah hah I said, I shall visit my friend Panados in W. FP. I'll bet has an apetite of enormous proportions!!
Well I fed him 640 not a typo 640 muffins and am now Warmly with him and was able to continue my quest. I would have quit sooner but I said what the heck I'll go for kindly...then I grew tired of his endless banter and his dry humor and left.
I am not sure at what point I went from amaible to warmly but I did succeed... sorry
Also, to one of the Anonymous posts above, KINDLY is the highest faction...If you went to kindly and then to warmly ... I would say that there was a bug that incorrectly reported you as kindly..

Just tried giving him 4x5 muffins. It didn't work - I counted the xp messages and I only got 16. Maximum is 4x4 muffins.

if you read a post by Verant when they introduced the new faction of "Regards you as an ally they went through it indiff, amiable, kindly, warmly then ally that is from Verant the people who are in control of the programming so I dont know what to tell you but warmly means that they like you more than kindly

I'm a 18th level Necro Gnome and found Pando to be np problem (conned warmly)from my having killed so many orcs at Crushbone and turning in the CB belts to the Warrior Guild in Kaladim (Canloe Nusback) also giving bonechips (Paladin Gld-Gunlok I think)and Runny-Eye Goblin Beads(Warr Gld-Byzak Bloodforge) all help with factions for getting around to many cities. Giving Pando the muffins after the Lady Shae has gone downstairs makes it a lot easier to deal with Pando as she can come out of her room and KOS you at any time otherwise. Took me a while but not being KOS anywhere I've gone so far has been really nice. I make it my business to find out and improve my faction if necessary ahead of where I'm travelling to. I made the mistake of killing some stone guardians outside Neriak that made me KOS there for a while till I repaired it. Faction is important to me...if it hurts me I aint doin it.

Something is up with this quest. He doesnt give faction , but will give exp charmed. He will not take muffins if he isnt charmed. But he will give exp and faction to a level 1 char as well as exp. Oh well so much for the quick fix for hunting PoG.

Any updates on what's going on with this quest (and every other quest that is linked to Faydark's Champions and Soldiers and Clerics of Tunare) for those who are KOS? I can get all the experience in the world with this quest invisoed and grouped, or with Pandos charmed, but no faction change whatsoever. Having killed what feels like a thousand orcs, I still can't get Faydark's up high enough to try one of the alternate quests.
I can understand Verant wanting to penalize followers of Tunare in a big way for hunting Plane of Growth, but what about those of us who went there one time, didn't stay long, are not Tunare followers, and are willing to make serious amends doing mindless quests for hours on end? Geesh.

did quest today Jan the 6th..... no faction boosts .... had to charm him cus he tries to hit me .... ok if i cant charm him how do i go about this ?????? Does a bard invis work ???? anyone ?

I too have this problem.. I am kos to him no matter if I am invis, or wolf form.. If I have another group member give him muffins, I get exp, but no faction. It seems that if you are KOS then this will not work for anyone save a class that can deceive, like rogue or chanter.. If anyone had any ideas on what to try to get cleric of tunare faction up from KOS put it in here. thx

I went from Scowling (anxious to kill me) to warmly or kindly (I forget which). Am a druid, and used both invis and sneak -- got behind him and fed him even after invis wore off. Took 360 muffins each of six times -- 2,000 muffins.

ok you can give 4 stacks of 4 to him so you get it done the fastest and i sometimes have extra gold and silver and i am bores so i buy a fe stacks of them and give them to him i belive i am warmly to him. i am a rogue with a mask of deception and i was in greater faydark so i decided to see what they coned as a DE and to my surprise both kelethin gaurds and high elf gaurds were warmly still. the only people in kelethin that were kos were the rogues never had real good faction with them anyway.
