You say, 'Hail, Eyska Va`Ker, The Broodmother'

Eyska Va`Ker, The Broodmother says 'With Zalikor's undead army defeated, the [entrance] to his lair is now defenseless, though it rests too close to the crystal for me to enter. The fear that emanates from the cluster warps the minds and bodies of all dragons who linger near it, and I will not become a terror to my own kind as Zalikor has.'

You say, 'The entrance?'

Eyska Va`Ker, The Broodmother says 'Only the fire dragons have any resistance to the corruption of Fear, for fear has never had a place in their hearts. They took up a stout defense of the crystal to keep it from those that have been corrupted, at great expense. For they do suffer from that corruption, despite their fiery hearts, and they are forced to kill those of their own that grow too tainted. But with all of the damage your people have done to my lava kin, Zalikor has forced them out and made his lair in the heart of these caverns, close to the fear crystal. He's surrounded himself with dragon eggs to ensure that the when they hatch, the whelps will be born into terror. If your [group] or [raid] wish to aid the Va`Ker, I will show you the way.'

You say, 'I have a raid'

Eyska Va`Ker, The Broodmother says 'Although I cannot venture into the heart of these caverns, I will do what I can to [aid] you and your allies in battle. Do your best to remember that while you may be resistant to the crystal's effects, you are not [immune].'

You say, 'Immune?'

Eyska Va`Ker, The Broodmother says 'The fear crystal was able to turn many of my brood into creatures of fear. I don't doubt that you may suffer the same fate if you linger near the crystal.'

You say, 'How can you aid us?'

Eyska Va`Ker, The Broodmother says 'I can conjure auras that will enhance your magical abilities. Be warned though, my power cannot be sustained through the entire battle, nor can it support many at once. When you are [ready] to go, I will show you the way to Zalikor's lair.'

You say, 'We are ready!'

Eyska Va`Ker, The Broodmother says 'May the strength of the Va`Ker flow through your veins.'

Summary

- Engage Zalikor (he is aggro; there is no trigger dialogue).

- Phases...
--- 100%-89%: ground
--- 89%-79%: air
--- 79%-60%: ground
--- 60%-49%: air
--- 49%-30%: ground
--- 30%-19%: air
--- 19%-0%: ground

- While on the ground...
--- Leashed to the edges of the lava that surrounds the area.
--- 100-range knockback in the direction he is facing.
--- Summons players at random to the purple crystal.
------ Purple crystal has an aura around it, turns player into drake with a large DOT.
--------- Cure the DOT by moving 130' range in any direction.

- While in the air...
--- Large damage aura all over the ground.
------ Stay on the ramps or platforms while Zalikor is in the air.
--- Cursed whelps spawn randomly from the eggs (pure melee).
------ If cursed whelps are left alive too long, Zalikor consumes them, regenerating health in the process.
--- Zalikor is only damageable by players standing in the damage auras (see above map points for aura locations).
--- Zalikor will emote indicating he is about to AE a particular aura; this is a several-second warning for players in that aura to get out of it, or be knocked back into the lava below (aura becomes safe again after this AE goes off).
--- The longer the air phase goes on, the more damage output Zalikor will have on subsequent ground phase.
--- If the air phase takes too long, Zalikor begins death-touching random players.
- Between phases...
--- When switching from a ground phase to an air phase, you have about 2 ticks before the ground aura takes effect.
--- When switching from an air phase to a ground phase, Zalikor will warp back to the purple crystal and take 1-2 ticks before he becomes aggro again, allowing your tanks time to get into position.
------ If he is not engaged on the ground, he will go auto-aggro on his own, summoning random players to his location.

- Kill Zalikor to win the event.

Event Phases

This event takes place in two alternating locations: On the ground and in the air.

While Zalikor is on the ground, he needs to be tanked as a normal mob and can be DPS'd normally, and all areas in the cavern are safe.

While Zalikor is in the air, he does NOT have to be tanked, needs to be range DPS'd, and the entire ground is unsafe (covered with a large damage aura), so everyone should stay on the catwalks and platforms above.

- Phase One: On the ground, Zalikor from 100% to 90% health
- Phase Two: In the air, Zalikor from 90% to 80% health
- Phase Three: On the ground, Zalikor from 80% to 60% health
- Phase Four: In the air, Zalikor from 60% to 50% health
- Phase Five: On the ground, Zalikor from 50% to 30% health
- Phase Six: In the air, Zalikor from 30% to 20% health
- Phase Seven: On the ground, Zalikor from 20% to death

Locations of Note: The Eggs, Adds & Auras

Around the catwalks and platforms above the ground are nine locations of note (refer to map information above).

There are three platforms on which you'll find three eggs each. While the event is in an "air" phase, adds called "a cursed whelp" randomly spawn from these eggs. The adds from the north egg platform and west egg platform hit for a max ~26,000. The adds from the east egg platform hit for a max ~13,000. These adds have relatively few hitpoints and should be manageable with 3-4 DPS per platform (plus tanks and healers on each).

There are also six platforms around the catwalks, each with an aura on them that grants damage bonuses to their specified types of DPS:

Magic; Fire; Cold; Power (ranged melee); Disease/Poison; and Chromatic/Prismatic

A maximum of seven players can be standing in an aura. If an eighth (or more) stands in the aura, that specific aura deactivates.

Note that even if you're outside one of these auras, you can still do DPS to Zalikor; however, you'll allow yourself much more by standing in an appropriate aura.

Raid Setup

Given the map locations and information above, you will need to assign players to different locations.

You'll want ranged DPS on aura platforms (marked in green on the above map), and you'll want tanks, healers, and some melee DPS spread among the egg platforms (note that the eastern platform's egg spawns are much easier than the north or west egg platforms, so if you have softer tanks, they'll be best assigned to the east egg platform).

Upon Zalikor's ascent to the air, all players should move as soon as possible to their assigned locations.

Same thing once he returns to the ground: Tanks and healers should be ready to engage as soon as it happens. There is only a small delay between his return to the ground and his re-aggro. If he's not picked up by a tank, he'll start summoning random players.

When On the Ground

At the beginning of the event, Zalikor hits for a max ~40,000. This max hit increases as the event goes on. He flurries; single-target rampages; and occasionally AE rampages. Every 20-25 seconds, he casts the AE knockback "Terror Blast":

Terror Blast: PB AE 100', Magic (-1000)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 63000

The knockback component of "Terror Blast" sends players flying in whatever direction Zalikor is facing, so you can position him in a way that doesn't knock people into the heavily-damaging lava surrounding the event area.

Also as long as Zalikor is in the ground phase, random people will be summoned to the purple crystal right behind Zalikor's spawn point. This crystal has an aura around it that inflicts nearby players with "Crystal Corruption":

Crystal Corruption: Single Target, Unresistable (-1000)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 50000 per tick
2: Fade Spell on Movement (130)
3: Illusion: Drake

This DOT is curable only by moving 130' range in any direction.

At 90%, 60%, and 30% health, Zalikor flies into the air:

The ground beneath your feet begins to heat as Zalikor flies away.

When In the Air

While Zalikor is in the air, the entire ground area is covered in a damage aura that does 31,000 dmg/tick:

Lava: Single Target, Unresistable (-1000)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 31000

The longer he's in the air, the stronger his melee damage becomes (if you were to maximize the amount of time spent in the air without incurring its raid-wipe mechanics, he could be hitting for ~70,000 by the time you finish):

Zalikor gains strength from the fear crystal as he circles the room.

Every 25 seconds, he picks a single random damage aura, emotes a warning before blasting the aura platform with a knockback and nuke (while all six possible emotes are listed here, he only actually does one at a time, and they are entirely random):

Zalikor directs his fiery breath toward the aura of cold.
Zalikor directs his fiery breath toward the aura of disease.
Zalikor directs his fiery breath toward the aura of power.
Zalikor directs his fiery breath toward the aura of magic.
Zalikor directs his fiery breath toward the aura of fire.
Zalikor directs his fiery breath toward the chromatic aura.

Anyone standing on the targeted platform should move onto the catwalks within 5-10 seconds, otherwise be hit with "Fire Blast" and knocked into a death touch below:

Fire Blast: Single Target, Unresistable (-1000)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 75000

If "a cursed whelp" is left alive for too long, Zalikor "eats it" and regenerates some health:

Zalikor feeds on the life of a cursed drake, restoring some health.

If an air phase has been active for more than five minutes, Zalikor starts death touching random player targets:

Zalikor begins to devour his enemies.

Devour: Single Target, Unresistable (-1000)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 500000

At 80%, 50%, and 20% health, Zalikor returns to the ground:

Zalikor loses his fiery shield as he falls from the sky.

Event Failure & Reset

If Zalikor is left idle in the ground phase for any longer than 30-45 seconds, the event does a full reset.

If Zalikor is left undamaged in the air phase, you'll see a few emote warnings before he warps back to his spawn point, resetting the event:

Undamaged, Zalikor prepares to land.

Left without anyone to challenge him, Zalikor returns to the ground to guard the crystal.

Event Completion

Kill Zalikor to complete the event:

Zalikor, Devourer of Dragons has been slain by _____!
Your faction standing with Terrorwing got worse.
Your faction standing with Va`Ker got better.

The pre-reqs list "High Priest Syltetzalvek (Shard's Landing raid)" but the actual raid name is "Calling Phantasm". The High Priest is a NPC that needs to be killed at the end.
