Okay for those of you who don't want the faction hit to affect you..... The Red Wine Quest is absolutly beautiful. Do it first and you'll make the money back by camping Ratraz in an hour or three. I do this to level up from 16 - 20ish. Makes for an easy camp.
1. Buy 4 stacks of red wine, about 5 or 6 PP
2. Give 4 wine bottles at a time to Lokar To'Biath until he doesn't want them any more, or until you run out.
3. Con Ratraz or the Bartender Cecile K'Jartan for your faction level. If your amiable, do the red wine quest again. If you are kindly or warmly go for broke and kill Ratraz.
4. Loot his corpse of the club only. /Hidecorpses all to get rid of the body.
5. Sell the club to Cecile K'Jartan.
6. Buy more wine, give wine to Lokar To'Biath
7. Repeat till borde, your level is too high, or for any other reason you want to think of. Just remeber to check your faction status. I had a friend do this and forget and everybody wanted him dead and he couldn't get his faction up again.

Be forewarned that this quest will lower your faction with the dark bargainers. In the Night Keep, talk to Hukulk. He mentions [Helm of Hukulk], and upon asking him about the helm, he refers to a Lynuga who broke his heart. Hukulk asks that you go to Neriak to see who Lynuga meets with, possibly kill them, and return the head of her lover and the Bracers of Love that he gave to her. In return, Hukulk will give you an extra Helm of Hukulk. I am told you need to give him both the bracers and the head (presumably of Lumpkin) to get the helm. Lynuga can be occasionally found floating in the water near the entrance to Guk. She won't mention anything about the [Happy Love Bracers] but if you ask her about them, she will tell you she gave the ugly things to her boyfriend, Guard Lumpin, in Neriak and that the relationship was over. Lumpkin will tell you that Ratraz now has the bracers.
Ratraz is a bouncer in the Maiden's Fury in Neriak. You have to kill Ratraz. If he runs while your fighting him, and you're a troll or ogre, be aware that you may have to duck while chasing him through some of the lower arches in Neriak, so you will have to reclick your autoattack. I haven't had anyone jump in on that battle yet and I've let him run pretty far before. From him you will get the happy love bracers (AC 1 bracers, I'd use them just for the name alone if they weren't so lousy), his head, and a warclub. Watch out! You do NOT want to give his head to Hukulk! Lumpkin was the one who stole Lyguna from Hulkulk, not Ratraz! Either put his head in a seperate container or destroy it. The warclub is a decent non-magic blunt weapon that you can sell for quite a few plat. Ratraz is about 19th level. Now you need to get Lumpkin's head. This is more of a trick. He is found in the Foreign Quarter of Neriak. He runs around a couple of the back rooms. Attack him when he is as deep in these rooms as he gets! He is also about 19th and tries to run when hurt enough. If he gets far enough a high level shadow knight jumps in and you're basically doomed. From him you get his head and a rusty halberd. Take his head and the Happy Love Bracer's back to Hululk to get your prize, the Helm of Hukulk AC5 +3 strength +3 agility, wearable by evil races only helmet and some money (even up to some plat!), experience, and Faction. Note about factions. If your standing is too low with shadowknights (or perhaps if you are not a troll shadowknight), you will get nothing for turning in the quest items to Hulkulk. Quest Dialogue: (need amiable) You say, 'Hail, Hukulk' Hukulk says, 'What you want! You make fun of [helm of Hukulk]?! Me smash you! Maybe you come learn ways of Hate and Fear! You be dark power. You be Pain. You [want join Nightkeep]?' You say, 'helm of Hukulk' Hukulk says, 'Oh! Yooz tink you great enough to wear helm of Hukulk? Me have another just like it. Me make deal with yooz. If yooz want helm den yooz help Hukulk get revenge. Yooz better be strong or yooz useless! So... Yooz [make deal with Hukulk]?' You say, 'make deal with Hukulk' Hukulk says, 'Yooz smart! Yooz go and walks to dark elf city. Yooz finds one whos make Lynuga breaks up wit Hukulk! Maybe first yooz find Lynuga. Find who she visits in dark elf city! Den yooz go and lop off him head! Bash Lynuga too, if she no give me back [happy love bracers]! Me want head of dat home wrecker an' me happy love bracers, den me give yooz helm of Hukulk.' You say, 'happy love bracers' Hukulk says, 'Happy love bracers are mines! Me make dem for Lynuga. Dey all shiny and green like da forests me see in adventures when me young. Dey make Hukulk all warm and happy. Den me give to Lynuga and... and Find Lynuga (not required) You say, 'Hail, Lynuga' Lynuga says, 'Hrrump?! Who you? Reveree? What you want with Lynuga? Me am out [collecting]. Leave me be!' You say, 'what are you collecting?' Lynuga says, 'I collect all sorts of things. Gems be my favorite. Me really like rubies. If you have ruby, give to me! Why you want to know? You want to steal my collection?!?! I squish you if you do!' You say, 'what about happy love bracers?' Lynuga says, 'Happy love bracers! Dem ugly tings! Me gave dem to old flame in Neriak. Him old news now. Me let him keep dem ugly green tings.' Go to Neriak and talk to Guard Lumpin (and kill him) You say, 'Hail, Guard Lumpin' Guard Lumpin says, 'Hullo citizen. Me am here to guard you so puts away any wepuns.' You say, 'where are the happy love bracers?' Guard Lumpin says, 'Hmm... Me seen green bracers on troll named [Ratraz].' You say, 'Ratraz' Guard Lumpin says, 'Ratraz is dumb troll who werk in dark elf bar. Him tink he smart because dark elves raise him. Tink he know everyting. Him just as stewpid as all us trolls is!' Kobann tells you, 'Attacking Guard Lumpin Master.' Guard Lumpin says, 'Die, like the fool you are!' Kobann slashes Guard Lumpin for 476 points of damage. (Riposte Critical) Your faction standing with Neriak Troll has been adjusted by -50. You receive 6 gold, 9 silver and 2 copper from the corpse. Guard Lumpin's corpse says, 'My comrades will avenge my death.' Guard Lumpin has been slain by Kobann! You say, 'Hukulk' Ratraz says, 'I have no idea who Hukulk is, but [Lynuga] and he musta been an item. That's why their names are engraved on these here [green bracers].' You say, 'Lynuga' Ratraz says, 'Lynuga was some troll lady friend of some other peon troll named [Lumpin].' You say, 'green bracers' Ratraz says, 'You are inquiring about my bracers? You know, happy love bracers are truly crap for gear and equipment for hunting but I mean its TRULY FUNNY when someone inspects you and finds you're wearing "Happy Love Bracers" I mean come on, some of their replies have got to be priceless! =) Just my 2 cps

anyways mesa lvl 18 sk trollie and got me helm in an hour...ratraz was da hardest...he con yella and it got down to 20hp each den me had to HT him cause not wanting to die..hehe
den me went and saw da uder trollie who conned white...he was peice oh cake without HT..just gotta wait till he right at da back of dat hall..
den me runs back to grobb with da help and sow and me wearing new helm in less dan an hour.
me also got around 10pp and 2 blue bubs of xp..
me happy...me dink me did gud.

Me tink you wrongs about da fect of da agilitys. Me tink depend on what you agilitys already is fer how much AC you gets fer it. Seem when yous gets to certain amounts agilitys dat it effect more. Me is ogre, me no moves to fast, me bash hard. When get gots over 80 agilitys me gets more dan one AC fer just dat point from 79 to 80. Me tink it do dat same ting at certains udder numbers fer all da stats to. Just wut me tinks, but me know is rights.

If you are another dark race he will not give it to you. No matter what your standing is, if you are a de or ogre make a friend with a troll and have him pick up the items to give Hukulk. I am a de and a friend of mine made a level 1 shaman troll to do the looting-it was a lot of fun getting him to the de city. He did not die once, except to die and port back to grobb with the items in the bank, I love the eq banking system. Also it is better if you are a de to do this quest, the faction hits will not hurt at all if you are a follower of the Prince of Hate. If you are a Troll you may want to have a higher standing with the de guards before you do it. A great hat for a de too, with only 1 weight and with it i got a str of 110.

I do belive i found the next item to ask my future husband for to prove his love of me.. ~leafs through the journals spying the Happy Love Bracers.. thinking that makes two things..to prove his love. ((not to mention the RP Aspect of it ~grins.. ))

By the time you can complete this quest you should have been able to purchase a banded helm or, better, a bronze one. Does the +3 Str and +3 Agil make up for loosing 3 to 5 AC?
Well, stats aren't everything...I'd love to have a Happy Love bracer.

I finished this quest for my first time solo as a level 17 SK. Both mobs were very killable with pet, and harm touch. I would caution that with Lumpkin, it is best to save harm touch until he is either running or just about. This is because the distance he needs to travel to get to aid is short, and the aid is deadly. Late harm touch eliminates his chances in short order, while early harm touch is just fast additional damage.

Here's the scoop on the faction hit you get with Ratraz. It is with Dark Bargainers (merchants) and Dreadnaut Guards Inner & Outer. To repair the faction after killing Ratraz, buy red wine from the female vendor behind the counter where Ratraz spawns. Leave the Maiden's Fancy, bearing right after the passage, and go thru the passageway. There will be a shop dirrectly in front of you with another passageway to the left and right. Take the right passageway and you are in front of a building with a lot of steps (this is a library). Go inside the library, hug the left wall, until you come to a sliding door. Go inside that room where I think it is Lokar To'Biath in a room with a pedestal containing a book. Give the wine (4 bottles per slot!!!) to him for increased faction! You must be indifferent to To' Biath to do this. If worse than indifferent, there is a way around it! Do the same thing but before you hit the give button, have someone cast invis on you! You will probably need to group with caster, then put the wine in the trade window, have invis cast on you, THEN click give. This quest gives a little expereeince, good faction (repeat as often as needed) and also introduces another quest that involves a vow that I have yet to get to work. Good Luck all!

I think I can speak for everyone on this topic. Please people when you know that someone has been camping for a long time, don't pester them about when they are going to leave. Don't sit down next to them to "wait" until they are done. You might be waiting a long time and then the time it takes for you to complete your camp on top of that. The NPC will always respawn and will always be there. Just ask them kindly if they will send you a tell when they are done and 9 times out of 10 they will. These players are tired from camping that long of a period and quite understandably a little grouchy and become extremely nervous at the thought of someone possibly stealing their kill. So, be courteous.

A DE Shadowknight and myself attempted complete this quest last night. We were unsucessful even though the Shadowknight was invisible during the transaction and Hukulk conned indifferent. I believe this quest can only be completed by troll shadowknights.

A friend and I did this quest pretty easy. Ratraz is not very hard to kill, and nothing aggroz when he runs, so you needn't worry. The othe troll was no big deal either, and both aren't rare spawns. We killed each of these trolls twice, each of us getting the quest components (I'm a DE Cleric, and he is a Troll Shaman). I wouldn't suggest farming ratraz (as some do) if you're aleady dubious to dark elves, as the faction hit is fairly serious (although you can fix the faction if you're not already too bad by giving red wine to...darn forgot his name...a human in one of the rooms in a building in that zone. The SK guild perhaps? Don't remember.)
Anyway, we travelled to Grobb and he completed the quest and got the helm, although shamans can't wear it (he didn't know) :P I conn'd Hukulk and tried to get him to tell me about the quest, but I'm dubious there my faction wasn't good enough. So right now the nodrop quest components are sitting in my bank. Anyone know how to raise faction with the Troll SK guild?

Pretty eazy fer me as a Troll Shadowknight in his 16 season. Me and me pet wer able to solo dem bad trollies. Dis helm got dem horns so i luk reel tuff.
