This raid expedition begins with Captain Dunstan Coldheart (map - full zone map) in the Crystal Caverns (located in a room in the center of the Coldain city, Froststone at -255, 230, -400).
Pre-Requisites for Requesting:
- Completed "An Abundance of Orcs"
- Completed "Ry`Gorr Reconnaissance"
- Completed "Finding the Fear"
- Completed "Into the Caverns of Fear" (mission)
Pre-Requisites for Participating:
You say, 'Hail, Captain Dunstan Coldheart'
Captain Dunstan Coldheart does his best to hide the concern in his voice when speaking, 'Niva told me of your actions within the caverns. You can't blame yourself for Danela's escape. At least now we know where she's been holing up, and with the inner caverns cleared, we'll have firm fighting grounds for when we [lure] Danela from hiding. Or are you here for [other reasons]?'
You say, 'How do we lure her out?'
Captain Dunstan Coldheart says 'The central pit may not look large, but it is a sizable space filled with many tunnels that wind their way to the top of the caverns. Danela could be hiding anywhere. Niva Coldmist is working on a way to force Danela to come out and face us. She's asked specifically for your help in orchestrating the traitor's defeat. It will likely take a [raid] force to take the traitor down, but I will not turn away your [group] if you're willing to aid the coldain.'
You say, 'I have a raid'
Captain Dunstan Coldheart says 'When you're ready to [go], I'll lead you back into the caverns of fear where Niva can instruct you further on our plans.'
You say, 'Let's go'
Captain Dunstan Coldheart says 'Good luck. The fate of Froststone rests in your hands.'
LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered Caverns of Fear: Danela's Stand.
Upon zoning in, you'll find yourself under the bridge in the Coldain city. Make your way north into the Ry`Gorr tunnels and to the pit, where Danela Icewind will spawn (once the event is triggered).
- Speak with Niva Coldmist to trigger Danela's spawn in the pit.
- Engage Danela Icewind and DPS her to 90%.
--- Spawns adds in health-based waves: 1 geonid + 1 spider (spider is mezzable) each wave.
--- Casts random target blind + DOT (move yourself 50' range in any direction to cure the blind).
- Turns into a tentacle terror at 90%; adds stop spawning.
--- 6x "a Ry`Gorr miner" spawn in various areas above the pit.
------ Orcs do not attack back, but launch AE explosive attacks on random targets as long as they are alive; they can be killed via normal DPS.
--- On the ceiling high above the pit are several objects called "a boulder"; two of these must be dropped on Danela's head to progress the event.
------ You can dislodge a boulder by either nuking it or just waiting for it to become loose and fall on its own (the boulder will visibly shake and emote before falling).
------ Position Danela Icewind under that particular boulder before it falls. To do this, usage of the MA ring is recommended. The MA can target the boulder that is about to fall and Danela's tank can position her inside the MA ring.
------ If a falling boulder misses Danela, it AEs the raid with a nuke + FD.
------ After two boulders have hit her in this manner, she turns back into a Coldain.
- Once back in Coldain forms, she resumes spawning her geonid + spider adds.
- DPS Danela Icewind to 60%.
- Repeat the miners/boulders process.
- DPS Danela Icewind to 30%.
- Repeat the miners/boulders process.
- Kill Danela Icewind (note: does not spawn adds from 30% to death).

Triggering the Event
Say "ready" to Niva Coldmist to spawn Danelia Icewind in the Ry`Gorr crystal pit.
You say, 'Hail, Niva Coldmist'
Niva Coldmist nods in silent greeting, 'You've arrived just in time. We're nearly finished with our [preparations].'
You say, 'Preparations?'
Niva Coldmist says 'The scouts have been collecting supplies to help build more explosives. We should have enough blasting power to cause the cavern walls to come crumbling down. Danela will either become trapped in the tunnels, or forced out into the open to face us. Either way, the traitor will die. When you're [ready] I'll light the fuse.'
You say, 'Ready!'
Niva Coldmist covers her ears while shouting, 'Brace yourselves! This is going to be one powerful blast!'
Event progress looks like this:
- Danela (Coldain - damageable by regular means of DPS) from 100% to 90%.
- Danela (Tentacle - damageable only by boulders) from 90% to 79%.
- Danela (Coldain - damageable by regular means of DPS) from 79% to 60%.
- Danela (Tentacle - damageable only by boulders) from 60% to 49%.
- Danela (Coldain - damageable by regular means of DPS) from 49% to 30%.
- Danela (Tentacle - damageable only by boulders) from 30% to 19%.
- Danela (Coldain - damageable by regular means of DPS) from 19% to death.
Note also that Danela (as a Coldain) spawns health-based adds two at a time; and that each time she turns into a Tentacle Terror, 6x "a Ry`Gorr miner" (killable) spawn in the tunnels and catwalks above the pit, attacking your raid via explosives.
Danela Icewind (Coldain Form)
Danela Icewind summons from 100% health and has an aggro range slightly larger than the pit in which she spawns. She hits for a max ~37,000 and flurries (no rampage). Every 35 seconds, she casts "Instilled Fear" on four random targets:
Instilled Fear: Single Target, Magic (-950)
1: Decrease HP when cast by 45000
2: Decrease Hitpoints by 30000 per tick
3: Blindness (1)
4: Fade Spell on Movement (40)
This DOT can be cured by moving 40' range in any direction.
If her target is out of her melee range, she may cast "Danela's Lure" (a pull spell to her location):

1: Slow Push (-200)
She also spawns health-based adds (1x "a geonid" + 1x "a phase spider") at the following health points:
- 97%, 92%
- 77%, 72%, 67%, 62%
- 47%, 42%, 37%, 32%
- (no adds on final phase)
Phase spiders are mezzable; geonids are not. These mobs spawn in the pit and hit for a max ~20,000 (no flurry; no rampage). The geonids cast no spells; however, spiders proc "Velium Venom":
Velium Venom: Single Target, Poison (-950)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 45000 per tick (3 ticks)
2: Decrease Movement by 60%
3: Increase Poison Counter by 65
Danela Icewind (Terror Form)
While in Tentacle Terror form, Danela Icewind hits for a max ~40,000; flurries (no rampage); and casts "Terrorize" every 45 seconds:
Terrorize: PB AE 60', Magic (-950)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 60000
2: 25% Chance to trigger: Crystalized
Crystalized: Single 0', Unresistable (-950)
1: Stun (3.00 sec)
2: Decrease Movement by 80% (2 ticks)
The Orc Miners
Each time Danela Icewind turns into a Tentacle Terror, you'll see this emote:
The ceiling begins to crumble as heavy footsteps can be heard within the tunnels.
This indicates the spawn of 6x "a Ry`Gorr miner" in the catwalks and tunnels above the pit (for map file points of their spawns, see the map file links earlier in this writeup). These orcs are attackable, but don't fight back; however, they throw explosive barrels at random targets in the raid:
A Ry`Gorr miner throws a barrel of dynamite at _____.
Upon this emote, "a barrel of dynamite" spawns wherever the targeted player was standing. A short time after it appears, it AEs "Explosion" around it and despawns:

Note: From the time of the "ceiling" emote, you have 30-35 seconds before the first explosive barrel is thrown.
Note: Killing these orcs isn't necessary for progressing the event; however, if you leave them alive, you'll have to content with the explosive barrels for the duration of the event.
In order to damage Danela Icewind in her Tentacle Terror form, you have to allow two boulders to drop from the ceiling onto her head. These boulders are the spherical objects in this screenshot.
One by one, they'll start to shake:
A boulder on the ceiling begins to shake.
Soon after a boulder starts shaking (if you're looking at the boulder, you'll see it physically shaking), it will dislodge and drop to the ground below. If Danela Icewind is under the boulder at the time it drops, she takes 5% damage and the spell "Falling Rock" is AE'd:

1: Decrease Hitpoints by 34000
If the boulder misses Danela Icewind, she takes no damage and a different version of "Falling Rock" is cast:

1: Decrease Hitpoints by 22000
2: 50% Chance to trigger: Unconsciousness (feign death)
To help get through this mechanic, you may want a spotter at the top of the crystal cavern to keep an eye on the boulders. When one starts to shake, the spotter then calls out which boulder is about to fall ("north", "east", "south 1", or "south 2" based on the map locations earlier in this writeup), and then whoever is tanking Danela Icewind at the time would move her to the corresponding location. (The "Raid Main Assist" function can also help; if the MA targets a boulder, the MA ring will appear on the ground below.)
Once two boulders have hit Danela in the head, she returns to Coldain form and you can resume normal DPS on her.
You'll have to go through this process three times (once at 90%; again at 60%; and again at 30%).
Note: Boulders respawn a few moments after dropping, so if you run out of them, you just have to wait a little bit.
Event Failure & Reset
If Danela Icewind is left idle for anymore than about 30 seconds, the event does a full reset (corpses warp to just outside the pit). You'll have to speak with Niva Coldmist again in order to respawn Danela.
Kill Danela Icewind to complete the event.
Danela Icewind has been slain by _____!
Danela Icewind's corpse hits the cold cavern floor with ground-shaking force.
NOTE: In addition to chest loot, everyone in the zone receives 10x "Velium Shard" (used as an alternative way obtain raid drops, from Armorer Jean Wenlaris in the Harbinger camp of Shard's Landing.
Chest loot consists of 2 armor pieces (first list) + 2-3 other items (second list) + 1-2 weapons (third list) + 4 spell runes (fourth list) + 1 Trophy of Danela + 0-1 Primed Fragment of Fearlinked Zeal (cultural aug):
