does anyone post anymore to this or look at it? If so, I am trying to do the infected rat quest and Fodin won't give me the box and tells me to leave. Is this quest still working?

Me..you know..me..i um traveled 2 tha place of my cousins in Misty Thickket n i saw tons of wats and they all diseased and ugly wats do they drop 2 the livers?

U know my bag was bloody yuk. livers got some stinkie blood on em..yuk. i had to buy 2 back packs full of stinkies hehe but i sold those bags dont want nothing good in those stinkies..hehe

When I turned in the combined livers box, not only did Larkon give me exp and money, he also gave me a worn great staff. Though the delay is horrible for only 6 dmg, it sells for about 3 plat. Infected livers drop off any rat. A much better way to get money would be to focus on collecting plague rat tails, they sell for 1.5 pp each. They also drop of all rats, but more commonly, infected rats.

I did this quest before all the Luclin nonsense began and the infected rat livers were always no drop. Now there are many different types of rats that drop infected livers that are not no drop. Will the non-no drop livers still work?

How do you increase your faction with the Eldritch Collective to do the quest in the first place?

I thought this quest was not that hard and great exp, almost a full yellow at Lvl 4. Skip going to Larkon at the beginning (he doesnt seem to respond to the clean job) and just use his name with Fodin. The airtight box, in addition to being part of the quest, also is very useful as a carrying case esp at this low level. Then hunt away in the valley to the left of the entrance. The infected rats, though not the most common nor the easiest MOB there, are around enough and drop the liver frequently for you to complete this in a couple of hours. And these are productive hours as well, as when you cant find an infected rat, there are plenty of other things to kill and get exp. Very good quest for low levels.

Be sure to store these livers below your food slot. YOU WILL EAT THEM! I was wondering why I had looted 4 of them, then at the end of the night went to camp, and only had 2. Confirmed this with a guildmate.

So, place them in a bag after your food bag. (place food in slot 7, and livers in slot 8).

I got 3/4 of a bubble for turning the box in when I was 4th level.

Once I turned 5th level, however, I only got about 1/4 bubble. The Infected Rats are still blue to you at 5th level, so it's not like you're going out of your way to kill them for the quest...but for me it wasn't worth the time to collect the livers once I made 5th.

If you get the box first, and start to collect the rat livers, on death the livers disappear. (Tested this several times). So get all 10 rat livers first, then go get box from Fodin, combine them all, and go turn them back in to Larkon.

I got some exp and gold. nothing special. Once you get level 10 or 11, you get the minataur quest instead, but he will still accept the combined box.

And where would one get these items?
