You say, 'Hail, Reebo Leafsway'

Reebo Leafsway says 'Greetings and salutations, Rootless! My name is Reebo Leafsway, loyal Druid of [Karana]. I am in charge of helping young druids who wish to get started down the [trail to Karana's wisdom]. I also do my share of tending the [crops].'

You say, 'What crops?'

Reebo Leafsway says 'The crops we grow here are mostly carrots, lettuce and squash. We also are the only place on all of Norrath where the soil can support the mystical Jumjum Stalk.'

You say, 'What about Nillipuss?'

Reebo Leafsway says 'Nillipuss? Oh that dirty brownie keeps stealing our jumjum for his own greedy uses. We certainly would not mind if someone taught him a painful [lesson].'

You say, 'What lesson?'

Reebo Leafsway says 'He needs to be taught not to steal our jumjum! If you find some jumjum on him, I would appreciate it if you would return it to me.'

Nillipus is approximately level 15 and likes to run around the main roundabout in town around Fool's Gold and down the passage by Meeka Diggs.

Nillipuss shouts 'Nillipuss, Nillipuss is my name. Stealing jumjum is my game. Think you can catch me? Let's see if you can! I'll always run faster than you ever ran.'

Attack him and kill him.

Nillipuss says 'Caught me you did but what will you do when I crush you and eat you in my jumjum stalk stew?'

You may need to kill him four times for the four Jumjum Stalks. Bring the four items to Reebo:

Reebo Leafsway says 'Oh good! I see you have taught that nasty Nillipuss a thing or two! Good. But it seems to me that he has stolen more jumjum than this. Perhaps he needs another lesson?'

Reebo Leafsway says 'Excellent!! You must have taught ol' Nillipuss a great deal! But he never seems to learn.. Oh well. The Stormreapers and all of Rivervale owe you a debt of gratitude. Please accept this token of our appreciation.'

Woops, hit enter. Anyway, has anyone tried to BUY a whole bunch of Jumjum and GIVE it to Nillipus?? Just a thought.

I wouldn't go that far. During my fight one of the deputies walked right through the action. Happily, the deputies are content to let you handle the matter without their help or hindrance.

as a newbie i would do a quest over and over and over and over agin, it is the deputy tagil quest..... deputy tagil crushed on of the jumjum stalks trying to run around to kill the lil brownie......so....yeah....ok, that means the guards wana kill him....thats what i think
Arrows
# Oct 12 2000 at 7:35 AM Rating: Default
Hey just saw that this quest dropped a new arrow, the arrow of Contagion. Also earlier a arrow of Frost was dropped, both which are in the arrows lists. I did get an arrow of Lightning off Nillipus about last spring. I didnt do the quest he had it on him. Didnt know anything about the quest till today. Im sure at some point these arrows will tie into a quest. Anyone with any information or thoughts on these arrows?

I just killed Nillipuss. Woke up in Rivervale intending to head to Freeport, but it was 9pm gametime so I had some time to kill (pun intended) waiting for daybreak in Kithicor. I went over to where Nillipuss spawns, and he only managed to get a damage shield on before my arrow slammed into him and the contest was on. At the end I was the one left standing (hooray for the Squad Ring). Nillipuss dropped the Arrow of Lightning (same stats as the other arrows, dmg 4 rng 100) and a jumjum stalk. Note that I killed him when he spawned so he had no time to get to the farm to get the ground spawn there. I ran to the farm and hailed the druids to find the one wanting Nillipuss educated (Reebo considers me kindly btw), gave him the Jumjum stalk and got "Oh good! I see you have taught that nasty Nillipuss a thing or two! Good. But it seems to me that he has stolen more jumjum than this. Perhaps he needs another lesson?" Bah! I notice the ground spawn, so I pick it up and give it to him. He gives me the same message. Bah again! I remember I had some jumjum in the bank from earlier ground spawns. Gave those to him--not a peep. Argh! Oh well, the xp was nice and so is the arrow. So, it seems you don't have to wait for Nillipuss to steal the ground spawn, but only the jumjum that spawns with Nillipuss will work.
Got different item!

Luckily, I zoned in to Rivervale to hear Nillipuss yelling about stealing and some stuff. I ran to the farm and after he stole the jumjum stalks, I killed him. He was a high blue to a level 16 warrior and nearly killed me. He also had a damage shield on and would cast every once and a while. I turned in the two jumjum stalks and received a special bag.

It was a 8 slot backpack that weighed .4 or so pounds. It had a long name too.

I got something else to....I got a thing called "Eye of Disvan". Don't know what it's for though....any thoughts.
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 12 2000 at 5:48 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It was Pierce's pack of storing or so, 10% weight reduction and 8 slots =)

It was Pierce's Pouch of Storing, 10% weight reduction and 8 slots.
Wait for him to steal.

I've killed Nillipuss and not gotten any Jumjum stalks... then I realized. I killed him too early. If you wait for him to walk over to the druid fields, he'll steal the jumjum stalks, and when you kill him, he'll have some jumjum stalks on him. These are not the same as the ones you pick up... although he picks them up off the fields the same place you would. So... don't take them, let him take them.

Also, when I turned my jumjum stalks in, I only got money and faction. No items. :-(
Just one...

I forget the name of it but you only lower it with his brownie clan faction. Nothing to worry about. As far as I am aware of he is the only one with that faction.
Faction??

What Faction hits are taken by doing this Quest???
No reward
# Sep 23 2000 at 10:03 AM Rating: Default
I completed this quest just yesterday. No reward was given :( Just got a little bit of money and faction.

For other info, Nillipus doesn't always have the Jumjum stalks on him when you kill him. Also, there are no faction hits for killing Nillipus.

I found him running about, blue to me at 17th.

I tried to smite him, he ignored it.
I chased him to the bridge and rooted, hopefully clear of any deputies intervention. Once I got his attention, we duked it out. I was able to heal a few times, but once he cast his thorns, I was on the loosing side of this fight.

Upon retrieving my corpse, I was asked about the reason I wacked the scamp. I explained, as a baker, I'd had hopes of obtaining brownie meat to make Chocolate, JumJum stalks would be collected for Reebo. I was given an amulet of poison +15 protection for my effort from a sympathetic halfling.

JumJum Stalks
# Aug 16 2000 at 10:23 AM Rating: Decent
The bag that appears in the Druid field is necessary for Nillipus to appear. This is the JumJum he steals. You must loot the JumJum off Nillipus' corpse to get credit from Rebo for 'the kill'.

Now, on a separate note, I received the 'Eye of Disvan' as a reward. Has anyone seen this before. It looks like a GLS, but does not shed light or has any other apparant function. Any help would be appreciated.
#Anonymous, Posted: Aug 13 2000 at 2:45 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) On a completly unrelated note, I didn't mean to say a heck of alot of cash, I ment to say a heck of a lot of time :P. Someone was talking to me about cash when I was typing :P)
No way 2 hrs
# Aug 12 2000 at 6:22 PM Rating: Decent
Nillipus spawns every 10-20 hours and he doesn't always drop jumjum stalks, you have to really want to do this quest, and have a heck of alot of cash
RE: No way 2 hrs
# Oct 12 2000 at 12:41 AM Rating: Decent
maybe you havent really camped him, he spawns way more than what you state. Killed him three times today without trying much
RE: No way 2 hrs
# Sep 13 2000 at 12:32 AM Rating: Decent
i've been walking through Rivervale and stumbled across Nillipus many times, if i stayed there he would probly be coming about every 2 hours i would say. i've never done the quest though.
RE: No way 2 hrs
# Dec 21 2000 at 4:10 PM Rating: Decent
I would have to agree that he is a 2 hour spawn. I would camp in the feilds by druid guild and log back every hour and a half after killing him and he would appear shortly. Just make sure that you talk to Reebo each time, I think it makes him spawn in the 2 hour time frame.
3 kinds of JumJum stalks
# Aug 08 2000 at 3:37 PM Rating: Good
Nillipus', the ones that spawn on the ground, and the ones sold at the merchant there by the farm. ONLY the ones dropped by Nillipus are good for this quest. You can sort them into different piles as they don't stack with each other, but better remember which stack is which!

Do they Identify as different items?

Do what now?
identify
# Sep 25 2000 at 7:07 PM Rating: Good
Yes they do (not that i've had to do it...more than a dozen or so times)

The ones on the ground identify as "stolen jumjum".... guess if you picked it up to identify it, you are the culprit.

The ones that Nilli drops identify as "Nillipus Jumjum".

the ones bought identify as "jumjum"

be aware, you can EAT Nillipus Jumjum :(

GREAT... I can eat Nillipusses Jumjum, that sounds SO lovely =D
stalks
# Aug 07 2000 at 3:12 PM Rating: Default
I just killed him the other day and saw no faction messages. My question is, are the stalks he drops the same as those you can pick up off the ground in the druid farm? (they appear as a large sack) If so, you may not need to kill Nillipus to actually do this quest. Anyone know? (I don't have IDENTIFY, so I couldn't confirm a difference.
Faction
# Aug 03 2000 at 1:35 PM Rating: Good
I am fairly sure that there wasn't any faction changes for killing Nillipus.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 23 2000 at 8:54 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) you lose faction with brownies probably
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 21 2000 at 10:13 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) who do i lose faction with if i kill this brownie?
