This solo task begins with Wasinai in Windsong Sanctuary, located at about 2700, 915, -27 (northwestern entrance to the inner area).

Pre-requisites for requesting the task:
- No tasks
- 81 Skill Level in Alaran

You say, 'Hail, Wasinai'

Wasinai says, in Alaran, 'Ever since you and the others from Antonica have arrived here, our land has not been the same. Be gone unless you are able to [undo] the damage you have caused to Windsong.'

You say, 'Undo WHAT damage?!'

Wasinai says, in Alaran, 'Your kind has caused an evil pollution to spread throughout Windsong. It taints and destroys my brethren and this land. It must be stopped, and since your kind has brought it upon us, it is your [responsibility] to do so.'

You say, 'Responsibility?'

Wasinai says, in Alaran, 'If you truly wish to help, I thank you. I am afraid it is too late for the elementals that have succumbed to the pollution. They must be destroyed. Do so, and then return to me.'

You have been assigned the task 'Stop the Pollution'.

An Alaran named Wasinai believes that you and the other Norrathians are polluting the land. Perform the actions that Wasinai has asked of you to prove you are not to blame.



Kill some polluted wind elementals 0/6 (Windsong Sanctuary)

These are found throughout the outer area of the zone.

Wasinai says, in Alaran, 'It is unfortunate the polluted elementals had to be destroyed, but it was for the benefit of all. I also must apologize to you. As much as I dislike the presence of outsiders here, it is not your fault that the elementals have become polluted. It appears that one of my brethren captured the true culprit. It is a foul creature known as a swinetor. Unfortunately this beast has escaped and his unholy presence is what caused the pollution. Please find this escaped swinetor and kill it.'

"an escaped swinetor prisoner" spawns at about 2400, -430, -28 (northeastern part of the inner area).

Speak with Wasinai 0/1 (Windsong Sanctuary)

You say, 'Hail, Wasinai'

Wasinai says, in Alaran, 'The swinetor is dead? You have done well. Unfortunately there is one more problem. A group of contaminated elementals are planning on attacking the [sentry stones]. I believe the sentry stones are trying to cleanse the pollution from the land and are angering the contaminated elementals. We cannot let them harm the stones. Please protect the stones and then return to me. I will ensure that you are rewarded for your efforts.'

You say, 'What sentry stones?'

Wasinai says, in Alaran, 'The sentry stones are sacred artifacts. They allow our god, Ryken to communicate with us. I have never seen one of the stones destroyed, and I do not want to know what would happen if one was.'

Locate the first sentry stone 0/1 (Windsong Sanctuary)

Protect the first sentry stone from the contaminated wind elementals 0/3 (Windsong Sanctuary)

Locate the second sentry stone 0/1 (Windsong Sanctuary)

Protect the second sentry stone from the contaminated wind elementals 0/3 (Windsong Sanctuary)

Locate the third sentry stone 0/1 (Windsong Sanctuary)

Protect the third sentry stone from the contaminated wind elementals 0/3 (Windsong Sanctuary)

Locate the fourth sentry stone 0/1 (Windsong Sanctuary)

Protect the fourth sentry stone from the contaminated wind elementals 0/3 (Windsong Sanctuary)

- First: 1200, 950, -2 (western part of inner area)
- Second: 2200, 745, -45 (northwestern part of inner area)
- Third: 2080, -770, -30 (northeastern part of inner area)
- Fourth: 1000, -715, -30 (eastern part of inner area)

For each sentry stone, you'll have three elemental adds to contend with. They'll spawn as you approach and/or hail the sentry stone. While they don't auto-aggro and are actually splittable, you'll likely aggro at least one of them after the trigger.

The elementals are casters (wizards); are mezzable, stunnable, and rootable; and each hit for a max ~12,500.

Wasinai says, in Alaran, 'The land is on its way to healing. Thank you for what you have done. Please take this for your assistance in helping our land.'

anyidea how to get them to respawn after a wipe? assuming at this point I have to restart the task as I havnt found a way to continue.

Ironic: just after posting I ran under stone again and tey triggered. Guess there is a cool down time for the trigger. 10 minutes or so

it is easy enough to trigger the elementals wihout aggroing them- just run by/near/under the sentry stone and keep running. (it varies per stone, the second one i had to be right under it, the 3rd and 4th triggered when just getting near)

you will have to clear bats here and there.

they tend to spawn just by passing into the right /location but i did notice one time i hailed the stone three times as i ran under and i spawned 9 of them, 3 stacked on top of each other.

that was a fun recovery!
