This is a solo kill task begins with . in the Pillars of Alra, located at -1075, 565, 5 (near the zone-in, by the base of the ramp up to the pillars).
Pre-requisites for requesting the task: - No tasks - 81 Skill Level in Alaran You say, 'Hail, Daeas' Daeas makes a choking sound, '*gurrrrgllle*!' It stares at you intrigued, 'What on the pillars are you? I've never seen such a [strange] creature!' You say, 'A strange creature?' Daeas says, in Alaran, 'Confound the light! It speaks!' It seems to muster its courage and leans forward, speaking slowly and loudly for your apparent benefit, '[Yes] - or - [No] - Do - You - Come - In - Peace?' You say, 'Yes...' Daeas chortles, 'Hah! You do understand me.' It shakes its head in amusement, 'Since you amuse me, Outsider, I won't kill you... this time. I'm busy right now, however, hunting a violent criminal. So unless you wish to [help] me, I suggest you move along, so you don't get hurt. You say, 'On second though, no' Daeas chortles, 'Hah! You do understand me. I'm sure you jest, though. If you truly bore any ill intent, you would be foolish to announce yourself so openly.' It shakes its head in amusement, 'Since you amuse me, Outsider, I won't kill you... this time... but unless you wish to [help] me, you'd best be gone. I'm hunting a violent criminal and will slay any who stand in my way. You say, 'All right, I'll help you' Daeas says, in Alaran, 'My, but you're a strange one! Very well then, I will accept your assistance, my odd friend. The criminal I seek is believed to have slain several of our guardians. I tracked that ruffian this far, but I've lost ali. I suspect ali has turned aleself into some type of wild beast and is hiding nearby.' You have been assigned the task 'A Snake in the Grass'. You've been asked to help kill toads and selyrahs near the lake side, to help flush out a criminal who may be hiding somewhere nearby. Kill 3 cliff-dwelling selyrahs 0/3 (Pillars of Alra) Kill 3 plains-dwelling selyrahs 0/3 (Pillars of Alra) Kill 4 stone toads 0/4 (Pillars of Alra) These mobs spawn down by the zone-in area from Resplendent Temple. Upon the last of their deaths, you see: You hear a shout in the distance, 'When I catch that sorry piece of scum, al will regret alir parents' consummation!' - This appears to be all the thanks you'll get for your assistance.
