Veil of Alaris Information & Guides: An Overview | Group Progression & Task List | Raid Progression | Visible Armor

NOTE: This is the quest entry for the group version of "Two Sides of the Stone". See this quest entry for the raid version.

This group mission begins with Reklor Irespine in the Resplendent Temple, located at 1810, -100, 440 (from the Pillars zone-in, head due south into the building and continue south until you come to the last room; Reklor is in the southeast room).

Pre-requisites for requesting the task:
- Completion of "The Light Within"
- Completion of "An Initiate's Task"
- Completion of "At Your Disposal"
- Completion of "Secrets of the Stones"
- 73 Skill Level in Alaran

You say, 'Hail, Reklor Irespine'

Without pre-requisites:

Reklor Irespine appears more interested in reading than speaking to you.

With pre-requisites:

Reklor Irespine reaches out for you as al struggles to speak, 'I owe you my life, _____, and many apologies. My mind and body betrayed me as a foreign [essence] entered my soul, bringing with it a volatile rage which I was unable to control. Without your [help], I fear the possessing spirit would have taken over completely.'

You say, 'What essence?'

Reklor Irespine winces as al recalls the recent events, 'As you placed the stones within the temple, I felt a surge of energy flow through the air. It was as though the sentry stones were conduits for spirits of some sort, allowing passage from their world into this one. Once the final stone was set, a crippling wave rushed over me. My body was still, but I could feel my veins begin to flow with a foreign power... And then I blacked out, only to awake [broken] and filled with painful regret over what I had unknowingly done.'

You say, 'Broken?'

Reklor Irespine pauses, sucking in air with visible discomfort, 'I fear I won't ever fully recover from the trauma my body received, but something must be done. The power within the force that possessed me; it was greater than anything I have ever known. Where a [power] like that could come from? I can hardly guess, but it seems to manifest itself using the sentry stones.'

You say, 'What about the power?'

Reklor Irespine speaks with certainty, 'It is clear to me what needs to be done. The sentry stones must be destroyed. I am no match for the power they contain, but you somehow managed to resist possession. Whether by luck or mental fortitude, it does not matter. Tell me, do you have a large force [willing] to destroy the stones, or perhaps you are [able] to complete the task with a smaller group?'

You say, 'We're able to do so with a small group'

Reklor Irespine says, in Alaran, 'Maintain your focus, and keep our goal at the forefront of your mind. Let me know when you are [prepared] to begin.'

You have been assigned the task 'Two Sides of the Stone'.

You say, 'We're prepared!'

Reklor Irespine bows deeply with gratitude, 'I will pray for your success.'

  1. Speak to the sentry stone 0/1 (Resplendent Temple)

NOTE: Don't hail the sentry stone until you're ready for a fight.

You say, 'Hail, a sentry stone'

a sentry stone begins to tremble as whispers of beauty and decay fill the room.

The Avatar of Ladrys spawns and attacks.

  2. Engage the avatar spawned by the stone 0/1 (Resplendent Temple)

It hits for a max ~12,500 and shifts forms between "Avatar of Ladrys" and "Avatar of Sholoth". Ladrys casts "Purification" while Sholoth casts "Wave of Filth":

    Purification: Single Target, Disease (-900)
1: 60% Chance to trigger: Ruin Magic (a dispell)
    2: Silence (1 tick)

Wave of Filth: Single Target, Disease (-900)
1: Amnesia (Silence vs Melee Effect) (1 tick)
2: Decrease HP when cast by 27700

While the Avatar is in Ladrys' form, adds called "inner darkness" spawn. These take the form of a player and attack, hitting for a max ~9,000. They have an emote:

The inner darkness is becoming very unstable.

Shortly after that emote, they explode (despawn), casting the AE "Inner Darkness" in the process:

Inner Darkness: PB AE 30', Magic (-900)
    1: Blindness (1)
2: Decrease HP when cast by 43300

While the Avatar is in Sholoth's form, untargetable black oozes spawn on random people. These have a damage aura, so step away from them (they despawn after a short time):

Sludge: Single Target 0', Disease (-900)
    1: Decrease Movement by 60%
    2: Decrease Mana by 5000
    3: Decrease Endurance by 2000
    4: Decrease Hitpoints by 26300

Once the Avatar reaches 75%, it goes inactive. You see:

Avatar of Ladrys trembles while crashing to the floor as the essences of decay and splendor flee, causing the sentry stone to split in two.

Task Window Says: The possessing essence has split, fleeing to the west and east towers. Hail the sentry stones to travel to the towers and defeat the beings that now dwell there.

This opens up the next two steps and spawns two stones at either side of the room: "a perfect stone" and "a diseased stone". You'll find one named in each of the temple's two towers: The Shadow of Decay and the Vision of Splendor. To get to these mobs, you use these two stones.

When ready, either walk into the stone's proximity (you'll automatically port to their tower), or follow their dialogue:

You say, 'Hail, a diseased stone'

a diseased stone emits faint whispers of [decay].

Walking into the stone or saying "decay" ports up to the Shadow of Decay's tower.

You say, 'Hail, a perfect stone'

a perfect stone emits faint whispers of [splendor].

Walking into the stone or saying "splendor" ports up to the Vision of Splendor's tower.

NOTE: You can do either tower first; it doesn't matter. You can also take a break before porting up to a tower. There is no timer (other than the task timer itself).

  3. Defeat the Shadow of Decay 0/1 (Resplendent Temple)

The Shadow of Decay calls to all those before it, 'I demand an offering of rot and decay, made from the flesh of your own!'

All must succumb to rot in order to make an offer of flesh.

The Shadow of Decay hits for a max ~12,500 and AEs "Rot", which leads to "Decaying Flesh" (which gives a zombie illusion):

Rot: Targeted AE 30', Disease (-900)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 14000 per tick
2: Increase corruption counter by 30
3: Improved Spell Effect: Decaying Flesh

Decaying Flesh: Self 0', Corruption (-900)
1: 100% Chance to trigger: Zombie Rot
2: Decrease Hitpoints by 8400 per tick
3: Increase corruption counter by 30
4: Decrease Attack Speed by 40%

Don't use any cures or anything that has a cure component. The DOTs and illusion must stay on everyone in order to keep the Shadow from regenerating. He'll check for this requirement every 6 seconds, so it must be kept on you at all times.

As long as even one person doesn't have the DOT/illusion on them, the Shadow will regenerate 25% per tick.

This step updates once you kill the Shadow.

  4. Defeat the Vision of Splendor 0/1 (Resplendent Temple)

Vision of Splendor calls to all those before it, 'Impure souls, tainted with magic, are no challenge for me!'

One among many must rid themselves of all and any magical effects.

The Vision of Splendor hits for a max ~12,500 and casts the single-target one-tick duration "Purification" on random people:

    Purification: Single Target, Disease (-900)
1: 60% Chance to trigger: Ruin Magic (a dispell)
    2: Silence (1 tick)

Once the Vision emotes, one person needs to click off all their buffs and remain that way until it's dead. Note: Auras and songs count as well.

As long as everyone remains buffed, the Vision regenerates 25% per tick. Only one person needs to go buffless for this fight.

This step updates once you kill the Vision.

  5. Return to the central tower and engage the avatar once again 0/1 (Resplendent Temple)

Task Window Says: The essence is one, once again. Fight it within the central tower.

Don't port back down until you're ready for a fight. The Avatar switches forms and has the same fight abilities as earlier. Once it reaches 50%, it goes inactive and the next two steps open up.

  6. Defeat the Shadow of Decay 0/1 (Resplendent Temple)

One among you must throw themselves from the tower as a sacrifice to Sholoth!

During this encounter, the Shadow of Decay casts "Wave of Filth":

Wave of Filth: Single Target, Disease (-900)
1: Amnesia (Silence vs Melee Effect) (1 tick)
2: Decrease HP when cast by 27700

As the fight goes on, a random person (other than the tank) will get an emote. That person must jump out a window. (Note: Levitation effects greatly slow your jump speed, so click them off before initiating this portion of the event.)

Everyone Sees: One among you must throw yourselves from the tower as a sacrifice to Sholoth!

Target Sees: Jump from this tower as the ultimate sacrifice to Sholoth!

On a Successful Jump: You have made the proper sacrifice.

On a Failed Jump (Shadow regens 25%): Shadow of Decay shouts, '_____ failed to make the sacrifice!'

NOTE: Only the player with the emote should make the jump. If you have the emote and jump, you'll be ported back into the room. If you don't have the emote, you'll simply fall to your death.

This step updates once you kill the Shadow.

  7. Defeat the Vision of Splendor 0/1 (Resplendent Temple)

Vision of Splendor calls to those within its reach, 'Cleanse yourself of the filth that surrounds you!'

The Vision still casts the "Purification" spell on random targets:

    Purification: Single Target, Disease (-900)
1: 60% Chance to trigger: Ruin Magic (a dispell)
    2: Silence (1 tick)

In addition, it will cast the spell "Filth" on everyone but its target (the tank):

    Filth: Single Target, Unresistable (-900)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 27000 per tick

At the same time this happens, a "Purity Stone" (sentry stone model appears at a random spot around the room's perimeter). You have about six seconds to move to its location to cure the "Filth" spell. You'll see this emote when the Vision AEs "Filth":

You must cleanse yourself near the purity stone.

You'll see this once you've been cleaned:

    You have been cleansed.

If someone fails, you'll see this (and the Vision regenerates 25%):

Vision of Splendor shouts '_____ is still covered in filth!'

This step updates once you kill the Vision.

  8. Return to the central tower and engage the avatar once again 0/1 (Resplendent Temple)

Don't port back down until you're ready for a fight. The Avatar switches forms and has the same fight abilities as earlier. Once it reaches 25%, it goes inactive and the next two steps open up.

  9. Defeat the Shadow of Decay 0/1 (Resplendent Temple)

Shadow of Decay calls to all within its reach, 'Sing your chants of decay! Fill your minds and bodies with disease, or suffer my wrath!'

During this fight, black oozes spawn on random people. These have a damage aura (the same ones that spawn with the Avatar of Sholoth). The Shadow of Decay, itself, doesn't have any AEs here.

Shortly after engaging, a random person will be given a book, "Book of Chants" (you'll see an emote indicating who receives it).

Keep the book passed around (target a player and right-click, do not trade the book). The book, when clicked, casts "Chant of Decay" on you. Everyone has to keep this spell up via the book:

Chant of Decay: Single 0', Unresistable (-900)
1: Amnesia (Silence vs Melee Effect) (2 ticks)
2: Decrease Endurance by 300 per tick
3: Decrease Hitpoints by 11300 per tick
4: Trigger Effect: Strained Voice on Fade

NOTE: If "Chant of Decay" fades from you, a new effect takes over: "Strained Voice" (lasts 1-2 ticks and still counts toward the NPC's "chant" requirement).
You can still click it, but you won't get rebuffed with "Chant of Decay" (which you need on you in order to prevent the NPC from regenerating).

    * If you pass while you have Chant/Prayer, nothing bad happens, but the duration of Chant/Prayer does *not* update.
    * If you pass while you have Strained Voice, the mob heals.

What you want to do then, is wait until *BOTH* have faded and then pass the book. This will start the effects all over again.

If you get "Strained Voice" on you, wait until it fades and then quickly pass the book along before the named takes notice.

Upon Passing the Book: You recite the Chant of Decay as you pass the book to _____.

Upon Failure (Shadow regens 25%): The Chant of Decay must be maintained.

This step updates once you kill the Shadow.

  10. Defeat the Vision of Splendor 0/1 (Resplendent Temple)

Vision of Splendor calls to all within its reach, 'Pray for purity, to cleanse your minds and bodies, or suffer my wrath!'

During this fight, "inner darkness" adds spawn and attack, hitting for a max ~9,000 and casting "Inner Darkness" (the same add types that spawn with the Avatar of Ladrys). The Vision of Splendor, itself, doesn't have any AEs here.

Shortly after engaging, a random person will be given a book, "Book of Prayers" (you'll see an emote indicating who receives it).

Keep the book passed around (target a player and right-click). The book, when clicked, casts "Prayer of Purity" on you. Everyone has to keep this spell up via the book:

Prayer of Purity: Single 0', Unresistable (-900)
    1: Silence (2 ticks)
2: Decrease Mana by 900 per tick
3: Decrease Hitpoints by 11300 per tick
4: Trigger Effect: Strained Voice on Fade

NOTE: If "Prayer of Purity" fades from you, a new effect takes over: "Strained Voice" (lasts 1-2 ticks and still counts toward the NPC's "prayer" requirement). This effect may impact your ability to click the book. You can pass it, but you won't get rebuffed with "Prayer of Purity" (which you need on you in order to prevent the NPC from regenerating).

If you get "Strained Voice" on you, wait until it fades and then quickly pass the book along before the named takes notice.

Upon Passing the Book: You recite the Prayer of Purity as you pass the book to _____.

Upon Failure (Vision regens 25%): The Prayer of Purity must be maintained.

This step updates once you kill the Vision.

NOTE: The task locks at this point.

  11. Return to the central tower and defeat the avatar 0/1 (Resplendent Temple)

Task Window Says: Defeat the possessed Nitore once and for all!

Don't port back down until you're ready for a fight. The Avatar switches forms and has the same fight abilities as earlier. This step updates upon its death.

Claim your reward from the ornate chest 0/1 (Resplendent Temple)

    Upon opening the chest:

You have destroyed the corrupted sentry stones, so power can no longer flow through them within the Resplendent Temple.

How to correctly pass the book

Wanted to write a clarification of how to pass the Book of Chants/Prayers, as I found the information here helpful but also confusing and had to figure out the fine details during the fight.

1. You pass the book by targeting a player in your group and right clicking the book. Do not use the trade window. Making a hotkey makes life a lot easier.

2. When you first pass the book, you receive Chant of Decay/Prayer of Purity effect, which then fades into Strained Voice, which then fades.

I was at the last step and decided to gate out and try a different approach.
Not a good idea because the event resets and you have to start all over again. So: deleted the task and $%*# it!

Just wanted to note one thing, and (admins) probably worth noting in the description.

I found it a complete pain 2 boxing and alt-tabbing, but eventually muddled through. What I did find after my first failed attempt (went OOM, so no saving it), I Succored the group (so, need a druid or wizzy to do this). That ported me back to the central room, dropped agro, but did NOT reset the whole mission. Was able to med up and go back to the current fight.

Mercs

When fighting the shadow of decay, healker mercs will cure the DoTs so you cant damage him. use non-merc healers.

Mage swarm pets and RS pets, also merc's...
# Jan 13 2012 at 5:13 PM Rating: Decent
Curious about pets and more importantly mage swarm pets and RS pets on the shadow of decay part with the zombie illusion. I am also wondering if anyone managed to do this using merc's. The pass the book stage is why I ask about merc's. Just curious if even worth going again with tank and healer merc.

Not sure about pets, on 2nd attempt of zombie illusion fight our group just dismissed all pets to be sure. Mercs however definitely are checked for the zombie illusion just like other group members, and this makes using a healer merc next to impossible on this fight. Even if everyone in group blocks cure spells you cannot tell the merc to block cures on itself, and thus healer mercs constantly cure the zombie illusion, causing the mob to regen. This was the only fight we found impossible to complete using mercs.
Puff puff pass

This mission took us all but 1 hour left in the mission to complete. It is extremely easy once you get a good book passing rotation. We used 4 group members including the tank to do this. Leave your high dps player to DPS and your cleric to heal. Puff Puff pass as long as your voice is not strained and its easy as cake. If you leave your best dps alone to focus this part of this mission can go Very quickly. Best bet is to use casters

Just to update from the previous post. completed this task now 3 times. its not hard once you get the hang of it.

everyone needs to be ready, for each named.

you only kill 6 nameds in task, sometimes adds will pop. off tank em or what ever, they will despawn in 20 secounds or so. Here is what classes you really need. Cleric, Good tank, Slower, Good DPS. the other 2 classes do not really matter and i will explain that later on.

you dont need to be raid geared, but being it of course helps, i would say atleast VoA t3 group geared for the most part.

anyways, you start task, first mob is not auto arrgo, you fight him to 75% and he stops attacking. during fight he will spawn one add. (inner darkness) and cast AE's and cast AE blindness. add despawns fast so just slow/off tank it. this named also has doublecast AE as well as melee slow. hits like trash mobs. Blindness only last 1-2 ticks. after mob at 75% you can med up for next named.

in that room you will see 2 stones, one on each side of the room. one will have blue effects, other will have orange effects. this takes you to one of the next nameds in task. you run to stone to port down to named. he does not auto arrgo. (HINT if you still have melee slow from first named, port down to next one and it will auto cure)

it does not matter which one of the 2 nameds you do next. if you go to Decay #1 named. (you kill each named 3 times btw)

here is the fight. TAKE OFF ALL ILLUISIONS MONTS and LEV. or you will fail this fight. better to keep those all off the entire task...

When you engage Decay #1 fight him where he is at on circle rug, Everyone hug him and stay on top of him, EVERYONE. he will cast an AE that puts u in zombie form and has a nasty DoT. you can only DAMAGE him if you are in zombie form. so DO NOT CURE THIS DOT.
Also EVERYONE needs to be in zombie form or he will just keep regening HP
so Stay close and make sure AE hits you, and DO NOT CURE it. Once everyone has Zombie form, his hp will start going down. ONCE named is down, you can cure.

Once he is dead click on the stone in the middle of room and say central. this will take u to central room where you attacked the first named and go to the other portal to the other named

Splendor #1
U can port down to him and rebuff he does not auto arrgo. this mob someone needs to be 100% buffless. only one person. we did healer. and have dps just kill it fast. if your fom and have your aa's you will not run oom. everyone was turn off or the person going buffless must block Arua's. no Songs, no buffs of any kind. NO Heal over time on that person. NO Disc that cast a group buff like fist of FU or AA's that do group buff. nothing. if someone cast a group buff during fight or that person gets buff on him named will regen hp 25% every tick. No buffs/songs/aruas, and kill named.

This time do not say Central to sentry stone. MED and buff back up. when your ready. say central to stone to port up and that first named will be active again. HE AUTO ARRGOS soon as you say central and port up. HE does the same AE's , Blindness, Add as first fight. but this time u attack him from 75% to 49%. yes 49%.

once he is at 49% he becames non arrgo again. now we must go back and kill the other 2 nameds again, BUT this time the even will be different. you go to the the same way. there are 2 portals in that central room one takes u to Decay other to Splendor. it does not matter which u do first on this step either.

ok so on Splendor #2 you port down to named, he does NOT auto arrgo.
this event is different. I would highly suggest tank pulls him to windows. dont matter which. and tank him there. during this even he will cast an AE (dont recall name but its the only one he cast) SOON as its cast a Purity Stone appears at a window. any window. you have 6 secounds to run to that stone to get cured. you dont hail just run to stone it auto cures and get back in fight. MAIN TANK will not have to do this. everyone else will. MT is EXEMPT. if one person FAILS to get cured in 6 secounds. mob will regen 25% per person that failed. so if named is at 2% and 4 people fail to get cure. named is back to 100%. dont fail.
What we did was tank it near windows. have one person person stay on the look out for Purity Stone. and then /yell soon as it pops up
and everyone run to it and get cured.

ALSO anytime someone fails a emote during task your name gets /ooc'ed so everyone will blame you!!!
do this till mob is dead. once this is dead, say central to stone to go back up to top and go to next portal for DECAY #2.

(NOTE) if u do DECAY first and this 2nd dont port up till ur ready for that first named again he will auto arrgo

OK so now DECAY #2, this is same named as Decay 1 but different event.
u can port down to his room he does NOT auto arrgo.
this event again tank him near a window. during event SOMEONE will get an EMOTE to jump out of window. that person MUST jump out of window or mob regens 25% hp. each fail. (you get ported back up to named soon as you jump.) DO NOT HAVE LEV OR MOUNTS. or your jump will FAIL. and not count. also DO NOT JUMP if you do not have emote. or possible you fall to death. YELLOW TEXT on screen means someone got EMOTE. IF that person got emote it will be in RED text on chat window. something like YOU must jump out window cause your the chosen one or something, Make sure you jump or your FAIL will regen named 25%. do this till named dead. then med up. ALSO MAIN TANK DOES NOT GET EMOTE.

DO NOT SAY CENTRAL TO STONE YET.

ok now we go back to first named again, he does auto arrgo soon as you say central to stone. he does same blindness.adds/AE as before. nothing new. this time from 49% to 25%. then he stops attacking.

Next step we back to killing Splendor and Decay again for the 3rd and final time. port down same way as before and they do not auto arrgo. it does not matter which is first.
NOW this is where 99% people fail task, and its hard to do. but once you can the hang of it its easy.

BOTH these Splendor 3 and Decay 3 have the same event. but its different then before.

now this is the part where i said the other 2 classes can be what ever. ok the event is....
BOOK TOSSING!
BTW SAVE DISC FOR next battle.

when rdy, have the tank pull the named to the left wall. and tank there. EVERYONE get very close. both nameds do AE's so group heals will be used. an ADD will spawn. Inner Darkness, depawns randomly. only 1 add. TANK needs to tank both mobs, its not hard. both mobs dont hit that hard. add will despawn during fight just keep it off everyone else.

this is what the 4 people will be doing attack named and kill it.

the other 2 people will be doing something else. make sure you pick 2 people that KNOW how to follow directions and have no lag and are 100% focus. these 2 people will NOT ENGAGE NAMED. OR DO ANY damage. YOU NEED TO focus on this fight.
THE 2 PEOPLE CAN NOT BE MAIN TANK OR HEALER. they will be too focus on fight and will mess up event.

Here is what the 2 people do that do not engage fight. SOON as you engage mob. Someone in group anyone will get a BOOK on mouse. Its called BOOK OF CHANTS. its a clicky book. put it in inventory, target a player and click it. who ever gets book pass it to who ever the 2 is doing event. Right click pass. DO not TRADE window it.

now for the 2 people. you must click book between each other. soon as you cast book. Chant of Decay debuff cast on you. THIS MUST BE ON ONE PERSON DURING ENTIRE FIGHT. this DEbuff only last 13 secounds. the person u passed book too needs to click book back over to you and they get CHANT of DECAY ON them. so you switch. if no one has the DEBUFF ON them then mob regens HP 25%. each tick.
so you say simple? pass book and get debufff casted on you and those 2 people pass back and forth and win right??

think again.

IF the debuff falls off. it changes into STRAINDED VOICE. or if the debuff does not refreash when u click book it will change into sTRAINED VOICE soon as it wears off. now STRAINDED VOICE counts towards named buff chant of decay, but only last 8 Secounds. BUT> YOU CAN NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT did i say NOT pass the book if you have VOICE on you. or MOB REGENS HP. WAIT FOR IT TO DROP OFF THEN you have .5 - 4 secounds to cast book to the other person. the NAMED RECHECKS EVERYONE TO SEE IF CHANT OF DECAY IS ON ANYONE ever 6 secounds. THis is why the 2 people do not engage in fight, watch the debuff timer and dont pass with VOICE debuff on. soon as VOICE DROPS pass book. pass it back and forth. ONLY if u do not have VOICE.

This is hard to get system down. so be prepared to wipe a few times or just clear arrgo if no one has done it before. 2 people neeed to be 100% focus and dont worry about named, or heals or anything. just the book, if book fails, you will NEVER kill the named.

once named is dead. go say central to stone and go to Decay 3 . he does not auto arrgo. SAME event with same ADDs. but with mana drain/hp drain AE. if your at this part then you should have the system down, burn this named around 80%. then med up . DO NOT SAY CENTRAL yet. Burn this named cause manadrain will kill cleric. mob does not have lots of hp. just have system down with book.

once ready you go back to the very first named. he auto agroos soon as you say central to stone and port up again. kill him fron 25%- dead and you win mission.

GRATZ ON COMPLETETION.

another update. did this again last night, just to clear a few things up.

Zombie form, if a group member goes LD.... named goes back to 100% hp. and like us, we kept killing, named was down to around 25%. that group member logged back in and event resetted, and named was back to 100% soon as he logged in.

Pets = I never had any issuses with pets. they where never in zombie form and never effected the events. i have dont this on a BST and a mage group member.

Book tossing = Just to clear something up. 3 people works 100times better. to start event. someone will get book. and pass it to one of the 3 people that are only doing book, if they didnt get it first. that person passes the book to the next person in line. that person holds it for 6-7 secounds, THEN passes the book to the 3rd person in rotation. that 3rd person holds it for another 6-7 secounds... then passes it back to the first person. that first person will pass it again to the 2nd person soon as (the first persons person with book) Strainded Voice fades. and go on in order from there.
it was easy with 3 people, we did not fail event once with 3 people.

spent 3-4 hours on mission and failed at book passing part cause we couldnt seem to get it right. mob kept regening. most of the time spent on mission was learning what to do.

we got to the book passing part on the first mob and the effect does not last long enough on the person the clicks it, i dont know how we can get everyone in group to get spell up/via book if u does not last long enough.

we had a good group. cleric, mage, monk, monk, war, ench. cleric has some VoAt3 gear. mage and ench HoT t4 max AA's monk and monk where both raid geared hot t4. warrior was raid geared at 82k unbuffed.

we failed cause mob kept regening hp. none of these characters here boxed. all where good players. seems this is harder then some raid events.

If anyone has suggestions on how to get by book passing part please let us know.

Mana drain is a PITA on tha part with mob regen.

There's only one side of this: Its a crap mission.
Trying to do this with guildies; all CV/HoT raid geared, all good players.
Died 3 times on a "proper sacrifice".

Spent 2 hours 50 min and couldn't seem to get passed the "click the book" part.
Obviously, SOE don't want people boxing, so they have built in mechanics that don't allow you to box, but they forgot that real players needs to breath.... Everyone has to be max focused, every second. And for a small fail, that mob regens 25%.

For a healer, this is hard. You need to click the book in the right moment (not purity, not strained), you need to watch health bars, you need to handle silence, you need to handle mana drain, you get adds hitting you, you get to rez ppl.

3 hours spent on a mission that was a fail.... wonder what kind of groups they created this for?

Yes, even with the Emote, you can still die. Our entire group was killed off doing this. No one had levi on and everyone was standing next to a window when they were told to jump.
