Veil of Alaris Information & Guides: An Overview | Group Progression & Task List | Raid Progression | Visible Armor

This is the fourth task in a series of five; a shared task (1-6 players) that begins with an elemental named Aquarn the Tidalmaster in Sarith, located in the northeastern part of the dock area (around -35, -905, 0).

Pre-requisites for requesting the task:
- Completion of "Oseka's Knowledge"
- Completion of "Sacred Relics"
- Completion of "Tides of Change"
- 73 Skill Level in Alaran

You say, 'Hail, Aquarn the Tidalmaster'

Aquarn the Tidalmaster says 'Before we launch an attack against Rubak, there is one more task I need you to undertake. One of our operatives, a Kedge named, Silbek, has been captured and is to be sacrificed to Oseka, the Goddess of Tides. We need to get him [out] of Rubak.'

You say, 'How do we get him out of Rubak?'

Aquarn the Tidalmaster says 'Unfortunately it will not be so simple. He is being held under a powerful spell generated by four magical orbs. We have discovered, much to our fortune, that the Hadal priests sometimes carry colored gems that can disable these [orbs].'

You say, 'What about the orbs?'

Aquarn the Tidalmaster says 'If you were able to collect the gems, perhaps you can disable the gems and get Silbek out of there. Are you [up to] this most important of tasks?'

You say, 'I'm up to it'

Aquarn the Tidalmaster says 'I knew you would not disappoint me. Return to me after Silbek has been rescued.'

You have been assigned the task 'The Key to Freedom'.

Before an all-out attack can be carried out on the Temple of Rubak, Aquarn needs you to rescue a Kedge named Silbek who is to be sacrificed to Oseka.

Collect a green, orange, red, and blue gem from the Hadal priests in the Temple of Rubak.

Collect a Green Gem 0/1 (Rubak Oseka)

Collect an Orange Gem 0/1 (Rubak Oseka)

Collect a Red Gem 0/1 (Rubak Oseka)

Collect a Blue Gem 0/1 (Rubak Oseka)

The gems drop randomly from "a priest" (Hadal model). Once you've looted the four gems, you'll have to turn them in to the colored orbs next to the pearl on the bottom floor of the temple.

NOTE: These are NOT pre-lootable. If you give a gem to the wrong colored orb, it will give it back to you.

Give the Green Gem to the correct orb 0/1 (Rubak Oseka)

The Green Gem goes to the Red Orb.

Give the Orange Gem to the correct orb 0/1 (Rubak Oseka)

The Orange Gem goes to the Blue Orb.

Give the Red Gem to the correct orb 0/1 (Rubak Oseka)

The Red Gem goes to the Green Orb.

Give the Blue Gem to the correct orb 0/1 (Rubak Oseka)

The Blue Gem goes to the Orange Orb. Upon this last turn-in, a Kedge named Silbek spawns.

Speak with Silbek 0/1 (Rubak Oseka)

Task Window Says: You have disabled the orbs that had incapacitated Silbek! Speak with him before you leave the temple.

You say, 'Hail, Silbek'

Silbek says 'You arrived just in time! The Hadal were going to sacrifice me to the ophidians in the name of Oseka. You have my thanks!'

Return to Aquarn the Tidalmaster and speak with him 0/1 (Sarith)

You say, 'Hail, Aquarn the Tidalmaster'

Aquarn the Tidalmaster says, 'I have received word or your success with rescuing Silbek. I am pleased. With your aid, the forces of Prexus are sure to be victorious. Speak with Tiljin of the Deep for your next assignment. He should be somewhere nearby.'

Did this task solo but sure this will be helpful with a group as well.

First, clear the the two wanderers/paths that walk in and out of the area before heading in.

Clear the snake to your left facing the orbs. Next to the water. Head out to where you came in.

One by one or by twos, clear the remaining mobs counter clockwise. There are no shortcuts in this zone. Clockwise ends up chaining three or more mobs together.

Once all the mobs are cleared the orbs are easy enough to work. Hail the Kedge and report back for your reward. Of the six. This won gate me the hardest time to solo.

All the orbs are located by the water and sit right next to each other. If you feed the gem to the wrong orb it will return it to you.

Had to do this several times because it is hard to two box and I would run out of time getting help. Gems drop quickly, all colors. Did have an issue with orange on the last go. Tough part is clearing the turn in area with just two toons and two mercs. You need a third to get it done quickly.
yeah right

ok heres what really chaps my **** .. i did all the prequest b4 this quest and i got ever gem to drop np with more then enough for 3 sets of these .. thinking ok they drop fast i got time to get mission and run it >>>> WRONG !!! i have spent over 3 hours in zone killing everything from top to bottom and still camping it now . i keep getting all the same colors and still cant get a green one . So if u dont have anyone in your group that has the task u will get them easy .. if u need it and have task sony will keep u here as long as possible and they think its what keeps u playing .. to tell the truth this type stuff is about to run me off im sick of it .

Steps do say collect -- but having them in your invetnory and doing the trade with an NPC doesnt update -- so it may as well say LOOT.
