Veil of Alaris Information & Guides: An Overview | Group Progression & Task List | Raid Progression | Visible Armor

This solo task begins with a Kedge named Coraln Seagazer in Sarith, located in the northeastern part of the dock area (35, -1090, -4).

Pre-requisites for requesting the task:
- No tasks
- 73 Skill Level in Alaran

You say, 'Hail, Coraln Seagazer'

Coraln Seagazer says 'Such sorrow the [water spirits] feel.'

You say, 'Water spirits?'

Coraln Seagazer says 'The water spirits in the Temple of Rubak have become innocent casualties of the conflict between us and Oseka and nobody seems to notice, or care. I however do care and wish to [soothe] them.'

You say, 'How can we soothe them?'

Coraln Seagazer says 'I am unable to enter the Temple, but you can. Will you take these vials of soothing [water] and give them to the water spirits?'

You say, 'I'll take some water'

Coraln Seagazer says 'War is an inevitable part of life, but it is not right that the water spirits needlessly suffer. Take these vials of water and give them to the agitated water spirits. If you are successful in this endeavor, return to me and let me know so my mind can be at ease.'

You have been assigned the task 'Soothing the Spirits'.

Coraln Seagazer is concerned about water spirits in the Temple of Rubak. They have become agitated by the ongoing conflct between Prexus and Oseka, the goddess of Tides and nobody else seems to care. Coraln has asked you to give the water spirits some soothing water to see if it can soothe them.

You receive 4x "A Vial of Soothing Water".

You may need more than 4 vials, so just say "water" to Corain to get more.

Give a Vial of Soothing Water to an Agitated Water Spirit 0/1 (Rubak Oseka)

Give a Vial of Soothing Water to an Disturbed Water Spirit 0/1 (Rubak Oseka)

Give a Vial of Soothing Water to an Angry Water Spirit 0/1 (Rubak Oseka)

Give a Vial of Soothing Water to an Churning Water Spirit 0/1 (Rubak Oseka)

You'll come across the water spirits as you make your way down Rubak Oseka, with the churning spirit being on the bottom level.

Occasionally, the spirit will reject the water (you'll receive it back) and attack you (hits for a max ~11,000). If this happens, you can either fade aggro or kill it (note that it sees invisibility). If faded, it will respawn non-aggro after about a minute. If killed, it has a fairly quick respawn.

Return to Coraln Seagrazer and speak with him 0/1 (Sarith, City of Tides)

You say, 'Hail, Coraln Seagazer'

Coraln Seagazer says, 'You have done well this day. The spirits' souls call to me. They are at peace. Thank you, my friend.'

Say water more than once. The 4 the quest gives you won't be enough. Pretty sure the idiotic designer who did this quest was the same who did the Bloody Kithicor ones from SoD.

Yoooooooooo, Ima make this quest real easy for ya... just say water like 3 times to the quest giver when you first get the quest, shoot maybe even four..
4 vials will NOT be enough, period... you're welcome.

Sometimes you succeed to soothe the spirit but you still get an emote saying it has become more angry. This mob can not be attacked and you lose the vial, but you can get more from the quest giver by saying 'water'. The mob resets in a minute, so it will be up again by the time you get back.

I had one spirit that would always get angry at me and wouldn't give me a task update, even when it turned into a soothed spirit. Zoning didn't fix it. The solution was to log out and log back in - after that, my water was accepted. And yes, be sure to stock up on waters beforehand.

save yourself a trip just say water several times before you leave to go into oseka the first time.
if they aggro

Also for Rogues, they will see-SoS after they aggro so move away after escaping, or use Wild Escape/Smokeblind if needed.

I had 7 aggro in a row, dunno if that's just unlucky. Tip for bards: Even if they aggro, you can fade off and use sneak to keep handing in to the aggro version until success. Don't have to kill. Also; if they aggro, the aggro version will depop after a minute and the normal version will repop again, so again, don't have to kill.

If the water spirits aggro you when you turn in your item, they are quite easy to kill, easier than any other mob in the zone, and they respawn rather quickly for you to try again. accross 4 toons i only had 1 attack once. So it's not a common occurance
