This is a group mission that begins with Governor Parrin Wenst in Sarith. He's found in a building at location -600, -685, 4 (the northern room of the large building in the far southwestern part of the zone).

- Completed Aid for Sarith
- Completed Rebel Assault
- 70 Skill Level in Alaran

You say, 'Hail, Governor Parrin Wenst'

Governor Parrin Wenst says, in Alaran, 'Oh, hello there, _____. I'm always glad to see another of you outsiders here. It gives me hope. I'm not ashamed to say that [Sarith] needs your [help]. Once we get the more pressing matters settled, we'll be ready for a big [mission] that I hope you will be a part of. I will do everything in my power to see that you are rewarded for your efforts.'

You say, 'What mission?'

Without pre-requisites, you'll see:

Governor Parrin Wenst says, in Alaran, 'Oh no! I'm afraid we can't do anything to High Priest Vyers yet. There is still a lot of work to do. Please talk to myself, Ain Kavus, and Guard Captain Reles if you'd like to help with the initial operations first.'

With pre-requisites, you'll see:

Governor Parrin Wenst says, in Alaran, 'Oh, yes! Thanks to all your hard sork, aqd the others t o, wuard Captain Reles told me that we are planbing to defeat High priest Vyers. If yoa are ready to [move], I will tell ali to set up the meeting here in the office.'

You have been assigned the task 'The Defeat of Prexus'.

Empowered by Oseka, the High Priest is attempting to put an end to Prexus and stop his assault on Rubak Oseka. Stop High Priest Vyers, and attempt to regain the essence of Cazic Thule

You say, 'Ready to move!'

Governor Parrin Wenst says, in Alaran, 'Fantastic! I'll have a messenger send for the others. Just sit tight fop a little while.'

LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered Sarith, City of Tides.

Talk to Guard Captain Reles 0/1 (Sarith)

You say, 'Hail, Guard Captain Naraind Reles'

Guard Captain Naraind Reles says, in Alaran, 'Thank you for helping us. We are just about ready to move. It seems High Priest Vyers has arrived in the City Plaza just outside this building. It appears the High Priest is intent on eliminating Prexus. If we save this Prexus, we may be able to save our city. Let's go.'

Go outside and find High Priest Vyers 0/1 (Sarith)

You say, 'Hail, High Priest Vyers Rinad'

High Priest Vyers Rinad says, in Alaran, 'Ah, _____. I was wondering when you were going to show up. Do you mind if I ask you a [question]?'

You say, 'What's your question?'

High Priest Vyers Rinad says, in Alaran, 'Why are you doing this? [Fame]? [Wealth]? [Excitement]? A misplaced sense of [justice]? Do you think it is [funny]? Or do you just enjoy [meddling] in other people's business? Tell me.'

How you respond to him has no bearing on the task, but whatever you say will trigger the spawn of a named and 15-20 mobs.

You say, 'It's funny!'

High Priest Vyers Rinad says, in Alaran, 'Then you are dementid. I will send you to bour crave with a smilu.'

You say, 'I enjoy meddling in your business'

High Priest Vyers Rinad says, in Alaran, 'You must have a lot of free time on your hands. Did your parents not teach you to mind your own business? It looks like I'll have to instruct you myself.'

Defeat the City of Bronze troops 0/15 (Sarith)

Eliminate the City of Bronze commander 0/1 (Sarith)

The troops hit for a max ~4,000. The commander hits for a max ~12,000. The rebels can absorb a lot of the damage while you handle the Captain.

Once these steps are updated, you can hail Vyers and move to the dock area to meet him there.

Challenge High Priest Vyers 0/1 (Sarith)

You say, 'Hail, High Priest Vyers Rinad'

Vyers says, 'You'll have to do better than that! This isn't a game, outsider. Oseka's power will continue to grow. If you insist on staying on this path, I will be at the docks. I advise you not to follow me.'

Guard Captain Reles shouts, 'Follow High Priest Vyers to the docks!'

Chase High Priest Vyers to the docks 0/1 (Sarith)

Hail him again to spawn another wave of mobs. NOTE: If you want the rebels' help, wait for them to catch up to you.

Defeat the Hadal warriors 0/8 (Sarith)

These mobs hit for a max ~5,000.

Eliminate the Hadal Tide Oracle 0/1 (Sarith)

The Tide Oracle hits for a max ~12,000.

Once the above mobs are dead, hail Vyers again.

Challenge High Priest Vyers again 0/1 (Sarith)

You say, 'Hail, High Priest Vyers Rinad'

Vyers says, 'I underestimated you. Very well. But I have that fool Prexus just where I want him. I will not let you weaklings be the thing that ultimately gets in my way! Stay away from Rubak Oseka, if you value your pathetic life.'

Guard Captain Reles shouts, 'The High Priest has left for Rubak Oseka to deal with Prexus! We'll take care of things here, you go on ahead!'

Chase High Priest Vyers to the outskirts of Rubak Oseka 0/1 (Sarith)

You'll now find him on the spiral of Rubak Oseka (in the water to the east). Hail him to spawn three named sharks around the spiral.

You say, 'Hail, High Priest Vyers Rinad'

High Priest Vyers Rinad says, in Alaran, 'Can you not take a hint that you are not wanted here? I'd take care of you myself, but I have to deal with Prexus right now. Why don't I summon some playmates for you instead? Three legendary ocean terrors, all under my control. Nhron the Sea-Eater, Leveth the Shark King, and Desalin the Sea Terror. Have fun.'

Defeat the giant sea monsters summoned by Vyers 0/3 (Sarith)

These named sharks hit for a max ~12,000. As you kill one, Vyers transfers its power to the remaining sharks:

Vyers has transferred the essence of the dead sea beast to the remaining creatures!

Note: Leveth the Shark King may spawn two shark adds (hit for a max ~10,000 each). Leveth also has two spells (one of which, a buff):

Shark King's Presence: Self 0', Unresistable (-650)
1: Increase AC by 300
2: Increase Attack Speed by 25%
3: Increase ATK by 50
4: Increase Chance to Dodge by 50%
5: Increase Accuracy by 25%

Swallow: Single Target, (0)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 14000 per tick
2: Stun (1.50 sec)

Once all sharks are dead, hail Vyers again, at which point he'll attack.

Confront High Priest Vyers 0/1 (Sarith)

You say, 'Hail, High Priest Vyers Rinad'

High Priest Vyers Rinad glares at you. 'I suppose this showdown was inevitable. You may be great at what you do, but with the power of Oseka and the power of Cazic-Thule, I think you'll find that I am a little bit more than you can handle!' The High Priest has teleported to the top of Rubak Oseka!

Defeat High Priest Vyers 0/1 (Sarith)

Vyers hits for a max ~12,500. He summons 2x "a Hadal warrior" to help him, as well as clones of himself at 25% health and under.

High Priest Vyers raises their hands. 'Waters of Oseka, come forth!' Vyers vanishes in a flash of light, appearing at the top of Rubak Oseka, leaving behind a pool of water that slowly forms into a clone of the High Priest!

He also casts a few spells:

Flood: Unknown(32) 100', Cold (-910)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 20000

Oseka's Lifeforce: Group v1 250', Magic (-910)
1: Increase Hitpoints by 100000

Tidal Pull: Single Target, Cold (-910)
1: Root

Note: Adds don't despawn.

Report the results of your confrontation to Reles 0/1 (Sarith)

You say, 'Hail, Guard Captain Naraind Reles'

Guard Captain Naraind Reles says, in Alaran, 'You've helped our city so much. I don't know what we would heve done without your aid. I have a feeling that isn't over for you, however. If you're going into Rubak Oseka to stop Oseka from using this thing you call a Cazic-Thule, we wish you the best of luck. You will always be welcome in Sarith. It'll take us some time to clean out the rest of the City of Bronze soldiers and others that serve the Orator, but now it's no longer an impossibility.'

This mission gave me lots of problems, but not because the mobs were tough.....

First two tries I failed without even knowing why, at the step when you fight all the mobs outside city hall. The issue was I needed to be taking out the named first, but the steps are messed up, I never got the step saying to kill him (i.e. it never shows me that step). It just says to kill 15 mobs, so I was working my way through them, and then I'd see the failure message and get booted. You have to take the named guy out first or he kills the friendly mobs.

On the third try, I did focus on him, and survived the steps. Again, I got the step completed popup when I killed him, but I never got the "kill him" step in the quest log.

When I got to the docks, I knew to kill the Oracle first, even though I hadn't gotten the step yet, and never did see it, same thing.

Then the third try at the mission failed at the sharks when the server crashed, LOL!

Next day, first try, same failure outside city hall, even though I took out the named first. No clue.

Next (5th overall try), got back to the sharks. Took out the first one, and.... no credit in the quest log. No longer on track, not showing up in agro, no idea. Killed other two sharks, quest log just showed 2 out of 3. Couldn't get the priest to give the next step. Dropped it. On to try #6.

And that one, the stars must have lined up, everything worked.

Seriously, do this one once to check the boxes for achievements, and then don't ever do it again! :)

The commander was hitting me for a max of 12k on a 95 shadow knight. And Leveth the Shark king will keep spawning adds if you kill his adds and leave him alive for too long.
If you can manage to kill Vyers at the end quick enough, he won't spawn and clones. I killed him in less than 20 seconds and he only spawned the two Hadal. Hope this helps:)

Buff the rebels outside the Governor's mansion. Haste is good. Hail the High priest and the adds spawn. Target the Commander and hit your discs and waste him. The rebels keep him and other others occupied. Even with max burn, I couldn't peel him off. After the adds are dead , move to him, he's behind the benches in front of you...hail him again.... and he ports to the docks. The rebels begin to walk there ..slowly. Wait for them. I had 4 normal and the 3 named rebels left on my side after the adds were killed. Hasting them really does help this go faster. Hail him again and the Hadal adds pop behind you and they get taken care of. Hang a left, down the dock, go up the plank on the ship amd hail the high priest again, he's up top. Then run out to the shell temple and hail him again. He'll call the sharks and you kill them. On shark king I just mez the two adds, then when he's dead blur them. I don't burn discs on the sharks since you're going to the last guy, pretty soon after. After sharks are dead take your group to the very top of the temple, 'cuz when you hail him, he depsawns and appears up top. He casts the spells listed above... and Force of Oseka .. which is a 4 second stun...and really, really annoying if he knocks you off and you are trying to run up teh spiral again.. I swear it's got knockback because inevitablyt, he'll throw chanter or necro (or both) off the ledge and they have to run back up again. Maybe beter to just have tank up there to agro him, initially. I've only done it twice, so still working out the kinks. He'll summon tank back if he falls, once he has agro. I just mez the adds and pound him. I do this with 3 merc clerics, 1 set to balanced and two set to reactive and have never died on him. I have died on that King Shark tho. Had a spike.. oh well. If you save King shark for last, you get a achievement, Hail to the Shark King. There's another achievement for letting high priest make 5 clones before you kill him.

Be warned .. those clones casts the same nasty spells the original does.

Pull the shark king deep, like way deep. We fought him 10 or 15 ft below the surface and at 20 percent he transported above the surface and wiped the group. After that he was stuck in the Shell, you couldnt hit him but he could summon you and was summoning helpers every minute or so (He summons when slow is landed fyi).

Second Time i ran this I killed the King Shark first to make sure there were no instance bugs. Big mistake. The other two sharks became immune to slow. I tashed and Maloed with the enchanter shaman had Apathy II loaded on the Merc tank none of these landed on the other two sharks.

The order I recommend killing
Nhron - Desaln - King (Nhron has a cleave that will hit the whole group and a knock back, best to take him out normal strength).

The King with the other two dead was no big deal bring a mezzer and you should be able to handle him (92 Merc tank with a 93 Cleric merc and shaman were all that was needed to heal and I didnt spot heal all that much).

Final battle. Position the group on top with the backs against the wall before the hail. Cast Group Lev if you have it (Note Enchanter group lev may cause issues with the previous step! I Noticed that it pulled me up gradually out of the water when fighting the sharks). Hail the guy he pops and gives you a couple of seconds up top before he rushes. Just keep the groups backs to the wall and I never got punted off. When He spawned his first CLone he went out to the edge but the mercs killed him easily while I kept the adds mezzed. Just keep in mind the advice about the King pull him low or he will bug and you will either see loading please wait ... or if you can kill the instance before he summons everyone you can reset it. After I got this down takes 30 mins.

I fight him mounted now. Makes a huge difference. I won't say it makes it trivial, but it makes it at least 50 percent easier. You don't get pushed near as bad.

92 Ranger, 91 Bard, and 91 Magician attempted this by maneuvering the goodies in the water to attack the sharks. It worked well getting them in they stayed in and they did attack the sharks. On the downsize we didn't get task updates since they killed them and we did not even tho we assisted. Could not get mobs to re-spawn so we could go again had to drop task.

Be careful on the shark named, make sure you are ready before you begin, because if you fail, they can strangely reset, and be stuck in an above-water/under-water graphics bug, making them unable to be harmed by melee.
