Veil of Alaris Information & Guides: An Overview | Group Progression & Task List | Raid Progression | Visible Armor

This group mission begins with Atleris, Council Pinnacle in Argath, inside the council building on the zone-in level.

Pre-requisites for requesting the raid:
- Completion of "This is Argath"
- Completion of "Shoring Up Defenses"
- Completion of "Protect the Arms"
- Completion of "The Riddle of Steel"
- Completion of "Breaking Ballistae"
- Completion of "Critical Mass"
- Minimum skill level in Alaran Language: 10

You say, 'Hail, Atleris, Council Pinnacle'

You say, 'I'll join you'

Atleris, Council Pinnacle says '[Go] now. Mizzenblast waits by the dock.'

You have been assigned the task 'Reclaiming Argath'.

You say, 'Ready to go!'

Atleris, Council Pinnacle says 'Speak with Mizzenblast when you arrive.'

Atleris, Council Pinnacle says 'May your actions save Argath!'

If you have completed the six pre-quest solo tasks but have not yet done this mission, you see this instead:

You say, 'Hail, Atleris, Council Pinnacle'

Atleris, Council Pinnacle says 'Bursin lives? If you speak truthfully, the Forge will consume ali. I count all of the lost lives of those in the Forge; they have [sacrificed] themselves for Argath. But this is a weighty matter. We always need [help] delivering grain. You could again [speak] with Vitesal, if you wish to solve the mystery of the Forge. Or you could [work] with Alassin and Mizzenblast to defeat our enemies.'

You say, 'Sacrificed?'

Atleris, Council Pinnacle says 'The Forge will erupt. This can be delayed, not prevented. The Mountain will have its vengeance against Erillion. The enemy, and Argath with them, will drown in [steel].'

You say, 'Steel?'

Atleris, Council Pinnacle says 'The Mountain's steel ruined the Belly, and now Erillion occupies it. I would rather the whole of Argath sink into the heart of the mountain than see Erillion conquer my people. Either the Forge will [end] the lives of the enemy in the Belly, or I will.'

You say, 'End?'

Atleris, Council Pinnacle says 'I conspired with the gnome, Mizzenblast. Alir weapons, unleashed upon the Belly, will devastate Erillion. The flying [ships] of the outsiders will swoop over the Belly and rain fire upon our enemies.'

Atleris, Council Pinnacle says 'You would know best how to pilot your own ships. [Join] Mizzenblast, and wipe Erillion from Argath before the Mountain does!'

You say, 'I will join.'

Atleris, Council Pinnacle says '[Go] now. Mizzenblast waits by the dock.'

You have been assigned the task 'Reclaiming Argath'.

You say, 'Go.'

Atleris, Council Pinnacle says 'Speak with Mizzenblast when you arrive.'
Atleris, Council Pinnacle says 'May your actions save Argath!'

LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered Argath, Bastion of Illdaera.

Speak with Mizzenblast 0/1 (Argath)

You say, 'Hail, Mizzenblast'

Mizzenblast says 'Are you the only volunteers Atleris sent? I'm not surprised. The way he talks now, you'd think he would forfeit the lives of everyone in Argath just to defeat Erillion. And what are the lives of a few Norrathian [adventurers] compared to the lives of his own people?'

You say, 'Adventurers?'

Mizzenblast says 'I suppose risking your own life is the cost of exploring new lands and meeting new civilizations. We must choose sides when people are dying. Even though Atleris uses us for his own ends, his cause is just. I have seen enough of Argath to know I will do anything to [save] it.'

You say, 'Save?'

Mizzenblast says 'To do so, I have created my finest weapons yet: the Battle Orb and the Arm Cannon. The Battle Orb works using the same principle as my Exoblast: throw it in the midst of the enemy, and it will explode into shards of steel. The Arm Cannon functions like the LRK: aim it at your target and fire an armor-piercing projectile. With these weapons, and an [airship], you can't lose!'

You say, 'What airship?'

Mizzenblast says 'Aelsworth has been generous enough to lend us his airship for this mission -- well, generous enough to allow me to retrofit the ship with a more powerful steam engine once the [mission] is complete. There is a special feature you should know about this airship. It has a safety device that will bring you to the ship within five seconds if you fall off. There may be a situation where you need to disable this, and even go to the dock. For this, I will give you a device. If you hold the device in your dominant hand, it will keep the airship from protecting you, but only if you are at the dock. This device is powered by the airship, so will only work when it is around. The airship will also remove any corpses that are on it, and deposit them to the docks.'

You say, 'What mission?'

Mizzenblast says 'Take these Battle Orbs and Arm Cannons. I have given Arm Cannons only to those who have no magical abilities. It will allow you to attack your enemies at long range. The Battle Orbs I have given to everyone: when you are over the Belly, drop them on the Erillian troops. Now, ask Aelsworth about -- hold on! What is Magistrate Altara doing here?'

Everyone in the task receives a Battle Orb, an Arm Cannon, and an Airship Safety Suppression Device.

Speak with Magistrate Altara 0/1 (Argath)

You say, 'Hail, Magistrate Altara'

Magistrate Altara says 'Outsider, Atleris sent me. You must know: Erillion and Windsong have taken our defensive towers that float beyond the fortress walls. With their new position, the enemy fires down upon the Arms and the Crown. And even now, Windsong flies more troops toward the Pinnacle. Before you can attack the troops in the Belly, you must [remove] the enemy from the towers!'

You say, 'Remove?'

Magistrate Altara says 'You must hurry. Speak with Aelsworth and board the ship!'

Speak with Aelsworth 0/1 (Argath)

You say, 'Hail, Aelsworth'

Aelsworth says 'My ship isn't coming back in one piece, is it? I never should have made that deal with Mizzenblast...Oh, well, this is my only chance to get that new steam engine. Get on board before I change my mind!'

Board the airship 0/1 (Argath)

Everyone needs to get aboard the airship. NOTE: If you fall off at any time, you'll be ported back to its location. The ship will start moving on its own towards your first target.

Kill 6 invaders on the tower 0/6 (Argath)

Magistrate Altara emote: Kill the casters in the towers on your left!

Kill 6 invaders on the second tower 0/6 (Argath)

Kill 3 invaders that are attacking the Pinnacle 0/3 (Argath)

Magistrate Altara emote: Windsong attacks the Pinnacle!

Kill 3 invaders that are attacking the Pinnacle 0/3 (Argath)

Kill 6 blazemages on the third tower 0/6 (Argath)

For the above five steps, you need to use the Arm Cannons against the mobs (a click does 15k damage). They can also be damaged with regular ranged attacks (spells, archery, throwing).

These mobs won't just stand there and be killed, however. They'll be using ranged attacks against you as well.

Fly toward the Belly 0/1 (Argath)

Magistrate Altara emote: Erillion has broken through defenses on the Arms! Kill them before they reach the top of the Spiral!

Once the first five kill steps are updated, you'll fly over the lower area (the ship will do this itself; you don't need to control it).

Kill 8 siege runners 0/8 (Argath)

Target and attack the eight siege runners.

Enter the Belly 0/1 (Argath)

Magistrate Altara emote: Fend off the magic blasts, and use the Battle Orbs to kill everything you can in the Belly!

Again, the ship will move into position on its own.

Drop your Battle Orbs and kill the enemy below 0/15 (Argath)

Here, you need to target mobs below and click the Battle Orbs to drop bombs on them.

Kill 12 invaders on the final towers 0/12 (Argath)

Same as the first five kill steps -- Arm Cannons and ranged attacks.

Return to the dock 0/1 (Argath)

The ship will return on its own.

Aelsworth emote: No! My airship! What have you done to it?! Mizzenblast, you said everything would be fine!

Magistrate Altara emote: The Forge! It is erupting!

Speak with Magistrate Altara 0/1 (Argath)

You say, 'Hail, Magistrate Altara'

Magistrate Altara says 'You have done well, but I am afraid our actions are too late to ward off the Mountain's anger. Take this reward for your efforts. Hopefully you will live long enough to get some use from it. [Go] to Atleris as soon as possible, though. We have not much time!'

Collect your reward 0/1 (Argath)

NOTE: Make sure everyone is in range as the chest is opened. Anyone not in range won't get experience from the task.

Never can i remember a more fustrating stupid idiotic mission premise.
Broken?
# Nov 08 2017 at 8:53 PM Rating: Decent
I 2 Box 105 toons and have tried this instance 2 times now and both times there are no mobs at the 2nd tower...

Could this be because I kill the first tower mobs too fast?

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Gave this mission a try. It took me about an hour and a half to beat it. Chest loot was Valiant Chain Hands Ornament, Minor Alaran Cantrip and Spinestone of the Gravemaster. If i had any complaints they would be the same as many of the other posters. It just seemed time consuming. EDIT: By Ripped Off in the title. I should have clarified that i meant chest loot wise. 8 non prestige items possible from the chest and instead i got a prestige only aug and an ornament along with the minor alaran cantrip.

Didn't need the Mercs..
# Mar 19 2016 at 10:48 PM Rating: Good
This mission does not let you have a mercs within the instance. I did this mission, easily, as a 100 wiz and 100 Enchanter. All I did was nuke with Wiz long range and on the platforms where there will be x3 mobs waiting to fight you, there are spots on the little "airship" you're on, that you can target and cast on these mobs without them beating on you, they do not "aggro" in the normal sense unless you get close enough, but if you back off they do not follow. I did buy Heal over time potions from PoK before the mission and used a couple, so I do recommend going in with a healer class or some potions in hand. All in all, not a hard mission even without mercs.

Quick Guide to mission
# Dec 17 2014 at 4:03 PM Rating: Decent
Read RiverWake's post --- very thorough and accurate!

Just a few pointers I noticed from my first and second tries: The first time I tried this mission, it wasn't as easy as River's post was laid out (that just being because I had never attempted this mission before)...all went well through the first few towers of 6, then the packs of 3, (don't get too close or you'll get beaten on), try to stay in LoS and towards back of the airship pad. The packs of 3 mobs are too close for range attack, unless you use the cannon given at the beginning. A ranger is almost a MUST for this mission, if you want it to go quickly. Make sure you bring some sort of healer type. Ranger heals worked fine, just remember to heal when needed or you'll wind up dead, fast.
Once you get to the last 2 stages: Kill invaders on the last 2 towers / drop bombs on (humanoid) targets below (these are the spellrazers and such, in the robes; (edit: also found that greedy looters and wind tamers also work most of the time, too) - you can either do the towers first, or the bomb drops...the first try I cleared one tower, then dropped bombs (completing all bomb kills), then I worried about the last tower. I tried a similar tactic on my second attempt, any way you want to complete them is fine.

*NOTE: If you clear the towers (or the majority of the mobs you can target/hit - go for it, but there may be a few that are hard to target and finish off. I suggest completing your bombing run then. Using 1 char to drop bombs is a good tactic, also use F9 for the overhead camera view, (it makes finding and targeting the caster alarans below MUCH easier to target and view from a 360 degree field of view).
Once the bombing run is complete, you will then do a figure 8 pattern around the remaining two towers....that makes it much easier to finish off the last few mobs with ease.

Key points: Makeup of group is minimum 3 ppl, (no mercs allowed) - so be buffed and ready once you enter mission
You MUST take a healer type, or they'll pick you off early and often
A Ranger with a min HS of level 93+ is best, once in close proximity to a mob, DoTs and DD can also hit them. DON"T forget to use Banestrike, too!
Finally, you'll probably end up make several rounds around each stage where the towers have mobs on them...just be patient and try to pick one off completely, then worry about the next one. My mistake on my 1st attempt was trying to hit any mob I could....leaving all 6 of them to pummel you each round I made around the tower. I 3 boxed this with a 100 ranger (max HS AA), 100 warrior (just used the cannon and Banestrike on mobs, also was the bomber on the belly UD), and used wife's 92 enchanter, for haste and mana regen & to be the 3rd one needed to do mission. Kept wife's enc at the dock 2nd try, since she kept getting waxed from mob DD in the first mission I did. Iirc - she died 4x in first try. 3 chars was too much for crappy ranger heals, plus the more downtime I had healing, the less I could use range attack for HS.

Hope the info above is easier to understand....but you should read RiverWake's post on it first...that'll give you a good feel of the details.
The 1st try took me 4 hours (never having done this mission before) - the 2nd attempt took 1 hour 45 mins, but that was due to ranger dying because I wasn't paying attention to health and died...so I lost a few rezzing , buffing and running back into mission.
I'm sure the more I do, the faster they'll go / have done 5 of them now and have gotten it down to less than an hour... GL and good hunting =)

Reclaiming argath Mission
# May 29 2014 at 6:48 AM Rating: Decent
I am a lvl 100 ranger now, i started doing this mission when i was at lvl 90, with maybe 1200 aa's. What i have learned is that this is a very easy mission ONCE you have learned all the tricks to it. For instance (1) Mercs do not work in this mission (2.) you do not have to leave the instance zone ever to med, there is a round globe looking item you get at start that transports you to the platform where you begin the mission. Equip that item in your primary slot and clicking it ports you back to the platform where you begin the mission, you must KEEP IT EQUIPPED in order to stay at the platform though, once you remove it from primary slot you get ported back to the ship. (3) None of the mobs in this mission summon.(4) i use my bow, you can use the gun, basically any type of range DPS will work such as throwing will work, it may take you longer to kill mobs due to the fact your skill at range attacks may be limited by your you class etc. ( Yes i have done this mission using throwing Items also) maxed it out doing it this way..took forever to do the mission though) Now for the run down on how i do this mission.(Remember you have to equip the items in Primary slot to use them)
To get the mission you need minimum of 2 people that are appropriate lvls. hail NPC , zone in and start mission, jump on ship( I prefer to already be buffed for this fight). First thing i do is jump back off the ship onto the platform so that i get ported back to center of the ship on top of the motor housing as soon as the ship begins to move upwards. That enables me a better line of sight ( LOS in this mission is horrible through out the whole zone and mission.)Kill the mobs on the first 2 towers. After first two towers are cleared(There is a achievement for clearing the first 2 towers within the first 10 minutes of the mission), you move to the ledge platforms where 3 mobs will be waiting for you , Kill the Salver first it is a healer. After it dies can kill either of the last 2 in any order. That is the first platform, you do the same for the second platform, Rinse and repeat salver first then the other 2.When you arrive at the ledge where the 3 mobs are stationed jump off the back of the ship and continue to do so until the ship moves away slightly from the ledge then you may kill the mobs at leisure as the ship has moved out of the mobs mellee range now and you can range DPS them without fear of being hit. Once you have cleared both of the ledges you then head to another tower. This tower is slightly different in that the mobs are casters and will be throwing magic blasts at you.(Orange Balls) they hurt if they hit you , keep your dmg shield mitigator (Geomantra,i use my clicky item for that) spell buff up at all times as it refreshes this will greatly help your healer or if you are soloing. These magics blasts can be 1 shoted with a fire nuke (If you have that ability) to cast spells ( i use my fire nuke Summers Gale, ranger fire/cold combo spell nuke) it destroys the magic blasts with 1 shot. (Optional: kill 50 magics blasts in the mission and you get a achievement) After you have cleared this tower you move on to the siege runners. (i use my tab button to cycle through the mobs and target the siege runners) Standing on the edge of the ship aligned with the ramp that spirals down from the top ledge. The siege runners are on the ground lvl and will run towards the ramp and up it, AGAIN 1 shot with my fire nuke destroys them instantly, there are 8 you have to kill. After you have completed that sit and med while the ship flies you towards the final segment of the mission.
The final segment of this mission can get rough. There are 2 towers in the middle of the pit area and each has 7 or 8 mobs on them i forget exactly how many, each throwing magic blasts (Orange Balls) at you and everywhere else for that matter. First, you have to destroy a certain number of mobs with the bombs device ( Target the Humanoid Mobs only) the others such as the blades and blobs do not count towards your total to continue the mission.) Once you have destroyed those you can begin work on the towers. ( I have never tried doing the towers first and then the pit area mobs, is it possible? maybe , i do not know) This is where i finally use my disc (Trueshot) to burn through these mobs as fast as possible due to the fact that there are so many of them throwing magic blasts at me. The ship will fly in a figure 8 pattern between the 2 towers. This will at times allow you to shoot at either tower when you are in the middle between the towers. Once you have cleared all the mobs on the tower and killed all the mobs in the pit area you were assigned to kill you will have finished the mission. the ship will then fly up and over the wall and down again to the ramp area and stop by the water. Jump off the ship and hail the NPC near there and claim your reward. ( If you wish to taskadd anyone to the mission, make sure you add them BEFORE you hail. The task LOCKS when you hail the NPC at the end.)

Hope this helps and you have'nt gone insane from reading my horrible english writing skills =)

When I checked out the posts about this quest before I do it, I was really discouraged cause lots of players saying how hard this quest is. So I try not to do it but then I had no choice in order to do next quest. I had no idea about this quest and was thnking this quest is so hard and complicated. I was not even buffed and was thnking air lift takes me somewhere so i better start buff. When I was starting to get nuked cleric mana was 68%. After completing the quest I found out this quest is so easy and simple. Just get onto air lift, shoot cannon and drop bombs to kill mobs and cleric keeps group alive. that's it! so simple. Great exp and chest loot. I am keep on repeating this quest over and over cause I just love this quest. Right now I dont want any other mission cause this is so much fun lol. I box 6 toons so all 5 was shooting cannon and cleric was healing the group that's it. nothing complicated. Have fun!!

There were a lot of posts in here, especially the "this quest sucks" but bro-n-I each 3-box and we had a hard time figuring out what was going on from the posts beyond the "this sucks". The intent of this is my best guess at what people might do to pull this off, we had 30 rezzes after it was over and opted to wait until afterward for fear of the instance dropping (while we were regrouping).

Just for reference our group was all level 92 toons, 3 mages, an enchanter, a monk and a cleric. Our gear was tier1-tier2 HoT gear, running 40-50K health and 30-50K mana on the casters. AA count 1000-3500 on all of them.

Some of this is correctly stated in other posts but trying to make a one post summary to help, something like my hero boneshasher has done for us so many times.

(1) Mercs don't work (we don't use them but several others said so). Pets are in the zone (somewhere) but didn't seem to work on any of the mobs.

(2) Put a campfire at the quest giver (Atleris) or just inside the zone after you zone in. Either works, but you'll be immediately ported back into the fight if you put it at the zone-in. We kept our guild hall (tiny family guild) set to Argath also and used it many times as the fellowship wouldn't refresh quick enough.

(3) The early instructions are pretty clear, after saying go and zoning in do the chats and hop on the circle platform, we'll call it the "blimp".

(4) If somebody does die, click their dead group target and corpsedrag, even though you can't see the corpse it'll come to the blimp. That is one of the few good things about this mission.

(5) Trying not to assume too much here, make sure you EQUIP the items needed (primary weapon slot). You can press-hold the left mouse over it and drop that icon on your task bar (we did) but it still must be equipped to use.

---------------------

Mob sets 1 & 2 (tower invaders): Shouldn't be much trouble, cleric occasionally had to heal but these were mostly just spend the time until they all die.

---------------------
Mob sets 3 & 4 (pinnacle invaders): We were really confused here. We pull up next to a platform and 3 guys are there. The actual quest post above says use the gun (Arm Cannon) but that is incorrect (invalid target).

Option 1: Fight them when you can fight them in close contact (not an option for us).

Option 2: Wait until the blimp moves away and range them. Not sure how and why the blimp decides to move but if moves a short distance away after a while (maybe 5 minutes).

Problems with option2: Here's where the PITA starts, since I'm a retired software engineer and wrote 3D flight simulators in 8086 assembly probably before most of EQ coders were born, IMO this is very poor instance design. The blimp is slightly below the lip of the platform the mobs are on. Those familiar with the old "mage bolt bug" that Sony said they fixed every release for about 3 years (but never did) allows bolt spells to be cast that won't land. The trick is to move your eye point (center mouse wheel by default) so you have a "God's eye view" and line up the caster's feet and the mob's feet. If there's anything between "you can't see your target" even though he is obviously in view (head-to-head). Of course the "fixed bolt problem" still allows you to spend mana and cast time ... just doesn't hit.

The fix is to not cast anything that has the bolt bug (many spells refuse to cast saving you the mana and time loss). Try jumping off the blimp to get on the top part or carefully shuffle to the edges to get the best "over the landing lip" view of the mob. Turn your toon right and left and just keep trying. It was a pain for sure.

-------------------
Mob set 5 (blazemages): Here's where our real trouble began. We were OK until the cleric ran out of mana. To keep everyone alive took group HoTs and group heals and he just ... ran out... remember those days? I actually had better luck (and others refer to similar strategies) taking two guys (cleric and a mage). The mage would nuke to OOM (probably 2x faster damage than the gun) and he and cleric would gate, re-med and go back. Worried that the dungeon would drop we sent cannon fodder in to keep the instance alive (mobs did not heal in our absence). For us, once we got one down it got easier. Each kill made it easier and eventually we finished with a full group. Our learning curve for this phase cost us about 20 of our 30 deaths.

--------------------
Mob set 6 (siege runners): Don't know if there is really a time limit (despite the text). We were pretty dufus about it and finally figured out just use "next NPC" (TAB by default) until you get a siege runner and use the gun (Arm Cannon). They are 1-shots.

--------------------
Mob set 7 (belly mobs): Use the Battle Orb this time. As you fly around over the belly of Argath, press TAB until you get a humanoid mob targeted and click the Battle Orb. Blades, steels and hurricanes don't count (best we could tell).

Mob set 8 (12 invaders): We were able to easily out heal their damage but ran into the OOM problem. Our strategy was to focus fire and just try to knock somebody out. As you swing slowly around the tower(s) we'd pick out a mob that was just coming into view, work on him until he went out of view and pick the next mob the same way. For us, that meant we only were hitting about every other mob (half of them were 100% health) BUT we did get something dead. The flight pattern is such that you'll have a few of those guys that stay in view for an extra long time. If you can figure out who those are, kill those first. As each mob died the healing got easier and easier. We still had to cycle the cleric out for med breaks. Early on that meant everybody else had to leave soon or they'd go down. Later on he'd actually make it back before anybody died. Gear and skill challenged guys like us will likely face similar problems.

Jump on hte hump in the middle of the airship. It helps your stuff land and line of sight.
I just soloed this again with my necro. Took about an hour. I got task with chanter, war and mage, chanter was leader. Dropped a campfire at the zone in gnome. Logged mage out, logged Necro in, taskadded him. Zoned in. Same as before,, big blast of fireballs pasted war and chanter AND necro. Sent em all to lobby, buffed necro back up with self buffs.... no cleric buffs this time, heh. CAmpfired back, which puts you back on airship when you zone in, with those casters shooting fireballs at you, non stop.... LOL.

Necro just dotted and lifetapped for the win.. Logged necro back out, logged mage in, halled. Mage now flagged.

Edit... also

This task sucks. I hate this task. I don't use the term retarded very often, but this task is retarded. I do think it's soloable by a few other classes. Shaman comes to mind, since you have a source of fresh mana and hitpoints. I did it twice with just necro for my 5 toons. I did it once to get a friend flagged... .with a cleric friend who said they actually liked it, cuz they got to shoot things with a pistol.
It's a stupid roadblock that forces you to find a healer who isn't totally vomiting because it's the 48th time someone has asled for "help" on this no merc task. I tried to get interest for someone to heal for my mage. I offered 100K. for hours. Zero interest. I finally decided to just try soloing it again. It was a lot easier this time that before, with the VoA AA's done.

Once you get this task done, there is ZERO incentive to do it again.

Except the regular xp for 85-90 toons is really good for basically no work. I take out the first two towers, drop mission, rinse repeat.

Had an issue running this mission where the last blazemaster wasn't in sight for long enough to do much damage to. Finally found a way around this. I went back to dock with ranger ran all the way down into the belly and over to where Bursin the Legend normally is (no mobs in the belly aggro) I then jumped on the wall right there (entrance of the forge) and plinked him with arrows until he was dead. Won't work for everyone, but gives you an idea of how to get around such a problem

no airship, mission dumb and completely bugged...

This mission seems totally bugged?!? Completely dumb quest.

1. no mercs possible
2. the most mobs are rarely reachable, even with that stupid 15k pistol
3. if you have no rezzer and healer, sorry, thats it, wasted time
4. hours of hours clicking a dumb little pistol is the most stupid waste of time
5. airship sometimes does not start, even if all chars are on the board (bug)

Sometimes I wonder, if SoE will make maximum annoyance instead of a good playing experience. Hard is ok, but not silly. Perhaps the devs are joking how long somebody plays such dumb tasks, perhaps a bet on the customers or something...

Possibly doable if you have a solid group with no mercs and a healer and battle rezzer (makes it more possible) and many many good dotters which have FAST spells. It seems SoEs complete inability to show in a graphical manner, that the ship is somehow floating up down makes spells hard to land (you dont see it, that the ship is movin, always stays on the same place but sometimes spells work, sometimes they dont get a target - ridiculous amateur programming).

- if you fall down, you appear on top of the propeller (airship) and even you have free line of sight sometimes the spells dont target - really excellent programming work. They should change to SAP, they would be highly successful.

Giving up that part now.

Someone already uploaded it and I added it as a quest reward. For future reference, to upload items, download and install the Item Collector, then run it in the background as you play.

Don't let the final two mobs (out of 6) in the first tower die at the same time, like if they are dotted, because this will cause the second tower to never spawn. Until they fix this bug make sure the final mob in the first tower dies alone. Not sure if this bug affects other towers or not.

Sometimes have problems when falling off the airship of falling to my death. Corpse is unreachable, so you have to run back to return to the mission and summon corpse later for rez.

There are line-of-sight problems at each of the two pinnacles of 3 mobs each. Jumping between spell casts may help get you up high enough to cast dots/nukes.

They have fixed the bug with triple blazemage spawns on the last two towers in the November 22, 2011 patch. "- Argath - Reclaiming Argath - Corrected issues that could result in duplicate airships and tower defenders in this mission."

By a necro. Heh, heh.

Zoned in, noted mercs are not allowed, which .. sucks. Took out the first/second six casters. Killing the 3 on ledge is stupid, the ship you're on changes position like, every second, so you have have click the spell cast gems about 5-10 times per spell to make it "cast" which is retarded. The guns kind of suck, so I just dotted everything to death.

Battle mages at end bombarded my group with a huge barrage of fireballs and took out chanter, dropped war to 2 percent and then he fell, and necro went to pretty much zero, but I tapped back and got to killing. You can lifetap the fireballs they shoot at you as well as the battlemages themselves. You can also lifetap any of the mobs on the ground and they can't/won't agro you. I had to do that a few times. Other than that, it was straight DoT them to death. I didn't bother to use the gun on the necro. It's kind of slow and get more damage from a DoT. I also kept the Lifetap over time running pretty much the whole time, cuz the fireballs peels off about 25-30K or something .. I'd be at 40-50 life when one popped me.

Took about an hour and 45 minutes.

Oh yeah, edit:
When mission was over, I had a campfire at Magistrate Altara and campfired the two dead guys back and told him "go" with the two that were dead and he totally did not give a damn. No response at all. So, once the air platform got back, their corpses were there, so I necro rezzed them. Chanter popped all the way up top at zone in for some reason/bug and warrior popped where his corpse was. Ran chanter back down, did the hail, got the update and skedaddled.

I have to agree: With the airship movement, mob locations, and target issues, this by far was not a mission worth the reward. Time consumming but easy:

Wait for the Airship to move away from the two sets of three invaders attacking the Pinnacle: This will save you a lil aggro headache. We used the safety device to pop back to the landing giving the airship time to move just a hair past the ledge where mobs are resting. Moving your group just out of Melee range.

Fall off the airship and you respawn directly on top of the ship motor. We had the best targeting for this location for the tower mobs. Good luck.

Oh yeah one last thing,

Grab a snickers, your not going anywhere for awhile.

Anyone have any issues with Mages multiplying thus creating orbs to proc more so and you end up taking more and more damage to the point that its nearly impossible to reenter the mission? We all wiped over and over again tonight on this mission due to this.. bug perhaps or meant to be this way due to deaths?
