After completing the evil version of "Drosco the Zombie," Kurne Rextula mentions [a new task].
You say, 'What new task?' Kurne Rextula says 'I have been working with a man named Lord Grimrot. We are attempting to raise an army of undead in the Plains of Karana. When the time is right, we shall attack from within as well as from beyond the walls of Qeynos. This army needs one more commander. I must find a Bloodsaber to [retrieve the commander].' You say, 'I will retrieve the commander.' Kurne Rextula says 'I have searched for the appropriate man... Sir Lucan of Freeport, Field Marshal Ralem, Marshal Anrey of Rivervale, even Commander Kane Bayle. Any of them would do, but they are either inaccessible or share a common goal with us. So I have decided Trumpy Irontoe is the one. Any former member of the [Irontoe Brigade] has a wealth of military strategies. Kill him and bring me his head. Kane will not be pleased, but, it must be done.' You say, 'What is the Irontoe Brigade?' Kurne Rextula says 'The Irontoe Brigade was a legendary military unit hailing from the dwarven city of Kaladim. After a dangerous assault, where more than three quarters of the unit met their bloody fate, the brigade disbanded and left for parts unknown. In Fish's Bar, in Qeynos, you can find one of them, Trumpy Irontoe.' Locate Trumpy Irontoe as specified and kill him. You may have to kill him more than once to retrieve a Dwarf Head (identifies as "Trumpy's Head"). You take the following faction hits: -Circle of Unseen Hands +Merchants of Qeynos -Corrupt Qeynos Guards +Guards of Qeynos -Kane Bayle The turn-in: Kurne Rextula says 'Incredible!! You have slain one of the greatest warriors in Qeynos!! He must have been full of grog. No doubt he drank most of his skill away. Now I shall cast a spell and strip the flesh from his skull and.. Presto!! Take this skull to Lord Grimrot somewhere in the Plains of Karana. He will be in the center of a field of skeletons. If he is not there, wait for his return. He must return eventually.' Your faction standing with Bloodsabers has been adjusted by 10. Your faction standing with Guards of Qeynos has been adjusted by -1. Your faction standing with Opal Dark Briar has been adjusted by 1. Wait for Trumpy to hit the peir I killed him with a level 5 shaman. After that I killed the Rat Man, no problems at all. Now I just got a bloody dwarf head in the Halas Bank and know not what to do with it.

ROFL im a lvl12 rogue i ran upto him(he was green) attacked him... some bumbudy guard tryed to kill me(only blue) eventuly killed him and got his head and zoned.. easy!:P

OK everybody... You wanna know how to kill Trumpy Irontoe safely? This is what you do...
Walk up to him, hail him (to get his attention) then ask:
"Who is Sragg?"
All you gotta do! He'll say something to the effect of "No, no! You never heard me mention that name.. no..." and he'll walk off (he's a bit nervous here btw)
Reason being (I don't know the whole story, nor how he is tied to him) but Sragg is a Bloodsaber (wanna know who the bloodsabers are? go hit the sewers... *grins*) I believe his whole name is Sragg Bloodheart or something... not quite sure, but I think that's right. Reason being, there is a BIG paranoia in Qeynos with the whole Bloodsaber conflicts (ultimately lead to the Investigator's Badge quest where you actually roam Qeynos with an inspector arresting Bloodsaber members) so he gets scared and walks off.
He walks into an area far enough away from the boucer, and far enough away from the Corrupt Guards (they help too you know)

I gave the head to kurn Rextula(sp?) and he made it into a skull and said something about what a loss take this to..... he said a name and i forget but if i kill trumpy ill do it again and post the quest

I didn't do this quest until I was well into my teens and, being under constant SoW with the ability to bind myself halfway through the continent to lessen travel time somewhat, it was quite easy. The best way, for me anyway, a Barbarian shaman, I fed him his four honey meads (thirsty little runt), went through the dialogue, and followed him slowly as he made his way around the backside of the arena. The first time, I didn't let him get far enough and when I whacked him, he instantly took off back to Barstomper. I decided to zone out and rethink my strategy. When I came back in, I went back to Barstompers and waited about 15 seconds before Trumpy came strolling back in. Once again, 4 honey meads and some dialogue and we were on our way back around the arena. This time I let him walk all the way to the corridor between the arena and the area next to the bank. I rooted him, stacked a couple of DoTs on him, then DDed him with Spirit Strike till he fell. After that, the rest was just travel time. The moral to this is to be patient with him and let him walk a ways out before you strike, preferrably to the spot I referred. Very little trouble to be had there.

in the quest it says Seek him out and bring back his head for some experience and yet another quest. but where do you bring it back to? or who do you bring it back to? answer me that and ill be a happy person.

you give the head to Byzar Bloodforge to get bloodforge hammer quest in Kaladim must have good faction see bloodforge hammer quest for specifics

I've killed trumpy 23 times, and I cant get enough. I fear I have some strange obsession with killing Dwarves and carrying around their bloody heads. But recently I was playing EVERQUEST and his nice friend BRUNO slaughtered me at the pier in the water, then again under the pier because i bound myself under the pier. I was also killed by Trumpy himself and two guards, then again by Trumpy and the rat man that lives under the pier. Rat Man got me once by himself while I was medding and afk getting juice. All in all it was not a pleasent experience losing TWO not ONE, but TWO levels. I wrote this to teach yins guys THREE THINGS. 1- Dont obsess about killing Dwarves. 2- Dont kill rat man under the pier because he will get you when you are medding. 3- BRUNO GOES TROMPO! and he'll slaughter you on level 12. 4- Dont drink juice cuz youll have to go pee while playing everquest and RAT MAN will eat you rartions while killing you when you med. YES, this is sad and true :-}>~

Bruno attacks because he is the bouncer. It has nothing to do with any faction ties to Trumpy. Regardless of your faction with Bruno, if you get in a fight near, or in, the bar with any of the regular NPC's there, Bruno will help them kill you. He will even go with them out of the bar to attack you. He has killed me even when he has "looked upon me warmly"

If you're referring to Bruno Barstomer, I think faction with him is not tied to Trumpy's ilk. I have killed Trumpy only twice, but my faction is very low with Circle of Unseen Hands and Corrupt Guards due to the number of Good Guard quests I've done. Trumpy and his two pals in the bar regard me threateningly and attack if I stand too near them (which is frustrating because I can no longer get Trumpy to leave the bar by speaking to him). Bruno, however, regards me amiably and only attacks me if Trumpy or his pals start a fight with me while in the bar. He is a bouncer, after all. Thus I think the reason he aggroed on you must have been your faction with the Guards or Merchants of Qeynos, not Trumpy.

I was attacked too sadly and died many times at the ripe age of 5. I was grouping with a friend to kill Trumpy and Rat man very good xp. Sadly, I went into Fish's Ale and got chased and slaughtered by Bruno. I then spawned at the docks and got killed again. I died many times with no xp loss. Happily, when I got out of sq, I got a bind in nq. I am also an enchnter so I always go invis and illusion whhile in sq. )

If you kill Trumpy more than a couple of times, his friends in the bar will attack you, as will he if they see you. That doesn't mean just IN the bar, they may come at you at the pier. Or at least they did me!
