This is a seasonal Frostfell solo task that begins with Pizmip Nobbletod in the Plane of Knowledge (located outside the Bazaar zone).

This task is only available in December and early January.

You say, 'Hail, Pizmip Nobbletod'

Pizmip Nobbletod takes a quick step back, waving his hands frantically in a defensive stance. "Keep away, Fairy! I won't have any of your bad [luck] rubbing off on me!" The quirky gnome's eyes dart quickly from side to side as the paranoia builds.

You say, 'Luck?'

Pizmip Nobbletod casts a crazed glance toward the moon and cackles, "Luck's the only thing that's going to save you when Luclin [falls] from the sky, oh yes!"

You say, 'Falls?'

Pizmip Nobbletod runs around in frantic circles, "The end is near! The end is near! Save yourselves!" The quirky gnome gasps to catch his breath, "The end of the world as we know it is just around the corner. Norrath is destined to be [destroyed] when Luclin falls from the sky and crashes into the land!"

You say, 'Destroyed?'

Pizmip Nobbletod lets out an exasperated sigh as he rummages through his dingy knapsack, retrieving a dusty scroll as he begins to speak. "I have proof!" The crazed gnome taps at the old parchment with a boney finger. "Here in my hands is a portion of the ancient Akhevan [calendar]!"

You say, 'Calendar?'

Pizmip Nobbletod rolls his eyes, clearly annoyed with your lack of understanding. "The ancient Akhevans found a way to peer into the future, and documented many important events they foresaw. These predictions and their coinciding [dates] became a calendar that modern advanced thinkers like myself can use to predict the end of the world!"

You say, 'Dates?'

Pizmip Nobbletod is overtaken by a wave of confusion as he mumbles incoherently. "This calendar isn't exactly easy to read, you know. Those Akhevans weren't known for their neat handwriting. I've been working on a decoder, which should help me pinpoint the exact date of our demise, but I'm still missing a few key [components]."

You say, 'Components?'

You have been assigned the task 'All You Need is Luck'.

Pizmip Nobbletod decides your continued interest means you're willing to help. He hastily scribbles down a few items on a piece of parchment before shoving it in your hands. "Here, these are the things I require. Hurry along now, we don't have much time before life as we know it is crushed to smithereens!"

Task Steps

Recover a XXXXX Whirligig 0/1 (Zone)

Recover a XXXXX Thimblerod 0/1 (Zone)

The above items must be looted from a clockwork in the given zone (which zone you have to go depends on your level; see below for the list of known zones).

Return to Pizmip Nobbletod with the items 0/1 (Plane of Knowledge)

Hail him.

Speak with Pizmip Nobbletod 0/1 (Plane of Knowledge)

Continue speaking with him until the task updates.

Eat Lucky Lizard Liver 0/1 (ALL)

Drink Celebration Bubbly 0/1 (ALL)

The recipes for these two are bought from Garuf Odenburgh for 1gp, 4cp. They read:

Celebration Bubbly: Lucky spirits, grapes, bottle, cork (this will get you really drunk)
Lucky Lizard Liver: Lucky lizard meat, onion, white wine, allspice, lemon (gives you illusion lizardman!)

"Lucky Spirits" drops from "a wandering drunkard" (can be looted from ANY drunkard in any zone -- below here is a list of known zones).

"Lucky Lizard Meat" drops from "a lizard" (can be looted from ANY lizard in any zone -- below here is a list of known zones).

Create the above two items and then right-click them to update the task.

Loot a XXXXX Rabbit's foot 0/1 (Zone)

The rabbit's foot must be looted from the given zone (which zone you have to go depends on your level; see below for the list of known zones).

Get a kiss from a spirited celebrator during the midnight hour 0/1 (Plane of Knowledge)

At midnight (12am) time in-game, target a celebrator and /say kiss (SAY kiss, not the emote /kiss).

Speak to Pizmip Nobbletod 0/1 (Plane of Knowledge)

The write up is correct, but I think you should change it slightly.

At midnight time in-game, target a celebrator and /say kiss

At midnight (12am) time in-game, target a celebrator and /say kiss (SAY kiss, not the emote /kiss).
1 hour in game = 3 minutes in the real world. Midnight to midnight takes 72 minutes. You have 3 minutes to complete this step. Plan accordingly.

Thanks, I've updated the quest names of those you have commented on to have NewYears in the name instead of FrostFell and I have added an entry for NewYears quests for the 2021 schedule on https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=6782

I can confirm that these quests work for 2015/2016. It's incredible how drunk the spirits make you. The Devs must've worked overtime coding that.

I didn't have any problem finding any of the mobs. They were all LB to 105. It did suck that they were in The Grounds. I HATE The Grounds!

If you want to do this quest multiple times, when you get to the lucky lizard liver step of the quest, put on an illusion effect before clicking it. The liver won't be consumed, but it will still count that step for the quest.

This quest is now active for 2012. Since it's a new year's quest rather than a Christmas quest, I assume it always becomes active after Dec 25th.

Target the NPC and just type kiss in /say ... not /kiss (emote).

As of 12:56 am PST 19 January 2011, these quest-givers are gone.

...drinking the Celebration Bubbly will make you drunk, even with max tolerance, and eating the Lucky Lizard Liver will turn you into a lizard (like the ones in Feerott, walk on two legs...).

ok.. so.. does this silly little charm do anything other than raise my CHA by 20 for a few minutes?

i solo'd it, everything was root rottable, no big deal... it would just be annoying to find out i'd wasted a couple hours of my life for raising a stat that is already maxed, and that i don't need anyway.

If you read to the end of the description, you would have read:

A Lizard
# Dec 30 2010 at 11:44 PM Rating: Decent
I ran into the wandering Drunkard with my 80 Beastlord (700 AAs with uber gear), my T5 tank merc and a 73 Ranger buddy with his tank merc. Finished off the drunkard and then out of nowhere comes "a lizard." It hit me twice and killed my Beastlord even though she has 35K hit points. It happened in 1 second. I don't know if this is some programming problem or they just gave the lizard way more power than even the giant robot that wanders the zone, but I would NOT try to fight this thing.

I found the level 85 version mobs in The Foundation (Underfoot).

They hit in the range of 500-1100 (6.6kAC, with Gallantry, level 85 warrior), and have around 250k-300k hp. The normal zone mobs do not assist them.

Drunkards are humans, and the rest are obvious.

My level 48 monk got sent to Goru'kar Mesa for the first 2 steps. The clockworks are running around amongst the Dromrek giants, the lizards roam on both sides of the bridge over the hissing bend, the drunks roam up and down the path near the centaurs north of the bridge, and the rabbits hop around near the centaur camp and the oread island.
