Reena #1: Foundation of Fear

This is the first of two tasks that begin with Reena Kedson (map) in Fear Itself. She's located on the hill outside the amygdalan temple (within the ring of fire) at 665, 185.
You say, 'Hail, Reena Kedson' Reena Kedson says 'You there! You aren't a vile looking creature, or an insane iksar. You'll do. My friends and I need some [help] here.' You say, 'Help?' Reena Kedson says 'That's right. We have some serious problems. One of those amygdalans that serves Cazic Thule runs that temple with an iron fist. Its name is [Sharuleth]. After we deal with that creature, we still have to find a proper escape route. We'll need to deal with [Tiseth] when it comes to that.' You say, 'What about Tiseth?' Reena Kedson says 'Hm, well we can't deal with Tiseth yet. We'll need to deal with [Sharuleth] first.' You say, 'Sharuleth, then?' Reena Kedson says 'I've seen some horrible monsters in my days, but this thing is the true embodient of the word. If you'd like to help us rid this Plane of this creature, we'd appreciate it. What do you say? Are you ready to [fight]?' You say, 'Ready to fight!' Reena Kedson says 'Good. First, speak to my comrades already in the temple. Use the front entrance on the side there. They won't be too deep in.' You have been assigned the task 'Foundation of Fear'. Infiltrate the temple of Cazic Thule and assist Reena's allies in clearing out the creatures and amygdalans who inhabit it by recovering their equipment. They're in one of the first rooms. You say, 'Hail, Sherri Ganes' Sherri Ganes says 'I lost a lot of gear on our movement down deeper into this temple. We're a bit outmatched, and glad you're here to help. Can you get the lost equipment? We'll need it if we are going to leave the Plane of Fear. You should be able to find it scattered around, or some of the amygdalans might have picked some up.' Speak to Jaris Calmur inside the temple 0/1 (Fear Itself) You say, 'Hail, Jaris Calmur' Jaris Calmur says 'I need you to find my spellbook. I lost it after we made it deeper into the temple, and now I can't seem to get back down. Nevermind dealing with these amygdalans. Can I count on your aid?' Return Sherri's equipment 0/3 (Fear Itself) Give Jaris his spellbook 0/1 (Fear Itself) Speak to Reena Kedson 0/1 (Fear Itself) You say, 'Hail, Reena Kedson' Reena Kedson says 'You're back. Thanks to your work, my friends are now back to full strength. There is an amygdalan shadowknight named Sharuleth who is guarding the secrets to the Plane of Fear. It is a well-favored creature of Cazic Thule's, and we must defeat it. Unfortunately, I don't think we're in any condition to do so. We'll hold the amygdalans back while you go in for the kill. We're counting on you.' Destroy Sharuleth deep inside the temple 0/1 (Fear Itself) Sharuleth is found on the bottom floor of the temple in a room with a few other amygdalans. He hits for a max ~7,600. Sharuleth has been slain by _____! Sharuleth's corpse gasps for air, choking out one final breath. Return to Reena Kedson 0/1 (Fear Itself) You say, 'Hail, Reena Kedson' Reena Kedson says 'I can feel that his oppressive aura is gone already. I must admit, I could never keep up with you. I managed to get some information from a crazed Cazic Thule follower that has met with [Tiseth]. We'll have to deal with her next.' You've defeated Sharuleth, an elite warrior of Cazic Thule and given Reena and her comrades an opportunity to find a way out of the Plane of Fear. Rewards: 210 platinum (about 3 AAs) Experience Faction with Dream Delvers 20 Dream Motes The task "Terror Personified" follows this one. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Head down the big ramp. Near bottom there is a door to the right of that ramp (as you are facing), Pretty much straight back to the two NPCs.
Once you find a spawn for the equipment, stay there and wait for re-spawns, it is very short wait, faster than looking for other locations. Equipment stacks, they are not different ID numbers. The book is pretty easy, as long as you go thru the false wall in the same room as Sherri and Jaris. Then take the ramp down to the bottom, when you see lava in square shapes on the floor you are very close. Go past the spikes that go up and down, the bag in the spikes is an equipment spawn. The book looks like a book, not a small sack like the equipment. You can do this while invis. Nothing saw thru my invis while in this part of the temple.

One word of caution, there are named that spawn in the temple and they do see through invis.
If no named are up, running this quest is cake. Turn ins to Sherri and Jaris need to be timed when the roamer is out of the room, but otherwise, very easy.
If there are named up, you need to be prepared to fight, and sometimes that means multiple mobs, as the named seem pretty social and will gather friends to beat on you if you haven't cleared the area. (Named are spawned by killing the amygdalan guards).
