I don't believe the quest is broken -- I just don't think non-warriors can finish it. IT DOES NOT MATTER FOR THE HERO BRACER QUEST. You may still have to retrieve the key from the Catman (I did because I was taking no chances with this quest) but I didn't get the second part of the quest (Minotaur shackle) until I raised my faction to high amiable. Once I had that much faction, I completed the quest without problems. In fact, I've done it several times now. As a side note, you will make whoever is camping Hadden very nervous when you go to see Axe Broadsmith (Steel Warrior Initiation) because handing him the note spawns a strange skeleton right where Hadden pops. Just be aware -- of course, no one will probably notice, what with the 3 or 4 anonymous people who camp there and log in waiting to KS Hadden whenever he is due to spawn. ***** you Verant.

Non warriors can do this quest. My mage on RZ did it a couple of times raising faction for the Hero Bracer quest. It is just a matter of getting faction with the Steel Warriors high enough to get started on their quest cycles.

My friend just did this quest yesterday and he got it no problem , lvl 3 halfelf warrior , so some of you must be doing something wrong . Iwould suggjest having the boat on your side of the lake when you do the skele quest , if yer swimming skill is low , then you just take the boat over to the skele .

I am a wood elf bard on the quellious server and I was wondering for my warrior what the stats are on the bracer. Get back to me on that. k

It took me three tries to complete this quest. Have the batwings and snake scales ahead of time, but don't expect to get the 'Bag'. You have to be at least a Warrior to do it - I think.
Once you have completed the quest go back and get another bag - it's a ten slot bag that's free. Also if you make a newbie warrior go get the bag, but don't do the quest until around 5th or 6th.
Once you get the key for the animal pits you MUST go through the correct door the first time or the Lion will not spawn properly. Read what Grahan says "carefully" and go through that door, but be careful because it is a back way into the catacombs under Qeynos - near they high level necros.

I went to kill the lion when I was only level 4. He got the upper hand and I ran. After he killed me, the guard killled the lion. Now, I can't find the lion when I go back. If I want to start over, don't I need the introduction scroll to give to the Guild Champion? And how do I get that? I only had it as a newbie warrior. Is there another way to start the quest? I would really like to join the guild.

Just hail the guy who hands out the quest. That's usually how most quests start.

I have read the Hero Bracer quest and it tells me that I should do the steel warrior initiate quest. Some of the comments I have read say I should do the Hero Bracer quest to raise faction to do the initiate quest. What is the REAL story?

It really helps to do this quest for the faction if your questing for the hero bracer. I'm not sure if its neccesary.....but it can't hurt since you have to have "regard as ally" faction in order to complete the hero bracer quest. Hope it helps :).

Amiable faction is sufficient to complete the Hero Bracer quest, although apparently it can't be low-amiable. Anyway, you do not need to be at the Ally level. I completed the quest and got the bracers at Amiable.

I have completed the quest all the way to the lion..I open the door saw the lion and then it disappeared..not even visable for more then a second. Have gone back to try again..no lion. Do I have to do the quest over again (I still have the key) to get the lion to reappear???

I have done the gnoll fang quest in Halas and the npc's around the warrior guild in Halas con amiable to me now, but the ones in S. Qeynos are still apprehensive and when I tell him that I'm a steel warrior he tells me my head will look nice hanging on the wall or something. What am I doing wrong?

I have created mules and tried to do the bag thing but i still dont have enough faction although i have done the gnoll fang to Halas at least 6 times. I wanted to know if anybody had a clue what will get me faction the quickest gnoll fangs or the letter to the person in WK.

Ive tried key/no key waiting every cell. nothing works. Ive obviously recieved the quest and have the key with high amiable faction.. but started these quests late lvl 9. The darn lion wont spawn for me.

I too have had this problem 2 times. Is there something I am missing I get the key but none of the pens are locked and when open with the key still nothing.

Nuff said.. there is plenty of info here of the warrior quests that raise faction with steel warriors but gnoll fangs are not one of them.

Whenever i ask the guy he always says that the steel warrior guild has no reason to not trust you but you must prove you are worthy. he then says nothing after that (belive me ive tried everything) but also i am a war bar and am already a part of the steel warrior guild. someone plz reply to this message.

Or kill Deathfist Orcs in Commons, and turn them in at FP Milita and FP Guards. Careful, don't let FP Milita get to low. Turn 4 belts in at Guards and 2 at FP Milita and you should be fine (helps also when you do the Hero Bracer quest).

If you're a Barbarian Warrior and you want to gain faction to complete this quest; Spend 3 days, regardless of your current level, collecting Gnoll Fangs from Blackburrow. Once you have every slot in every bag on you filled with a stacks of 20 gnoll fangs.... go to the Warriors guild in Halas and turn them into the chick at the PVP pit and you'll achieve the faction you need to complete the quest.

I completed this quest as a level 7 barb Warrior (I follow Rallos Zek or whatever that name is maybe that helps) and did not have faction problems completing it. I thought it was kind of fun to do it and the bracer reward was better than the patchwork I was wearing.
Be careful if you are young trying to do the final stage of the quest. Im not sure what the problem was but I had a hard time hitting the lion, even though it was blue, and it almost always hit me. Seemed strange considering I had just been taking on Giant Bats (which conned even) with no problem. So be warned, at least for me the lion was difficult to hit. Had two bulbs of health left at the end of the fight.

Is the bag that Brin gives "no drop"? I have tried other quests to raise my Steel Warrior faction and I don't have enough faction to do them, nor do I have enough faction to get the bag from Brin. Seems like a no win!
But if it is possible for some nice person to hand me the bag.... I have two characters that cannot get it.

the quest actually gave me a few gold. Most other
quests I go on I am lucky to get silver.
I don't understand why people are having problems
finding the skeleton. You turn around in the hut and he is on the exact opposite side. It is quicker to swim the pond than it is to run around it. The lion was fairly easy to kill, and I put myself between him and the door and he never ran.

I have been trying this quest twice a day for the last week and no skeleton. Whats up with that. I am lvl 7 right now. I follow the quest exactly as it should be done. I give the note to axe broadsmith and he says kill the skeleton across the pond. There is no skeleton am i doing something wrong or is the quest broken. Some one that knows please reply to this post.

You have to improve your faction with him. Go out a kill alot of gnoll pups and gnolls. That should fix it.

Please people when you know that someone has been camping for a long time, don't pester them about when they are going to leave. Don't sit down next to them to "wait" until they are done. You might be waiting a long time and then the time it takes for you to complete your camp on top of that. The NPC will always respawn and will always be there. Just ask them kindly if they will send you a tell when they are done and 9 times out of 10 they will. These players are tired from camping that long of a period and quite understandably a little grouchy and become extremely nervous at the thought of someone possibly stealing their kill. So, be courteous.

For the love of god I have done this quest dozens of times and everytime I do there is not damn skeleton across the pond waiting and I haul some major *** over there to make sure and get there before he disses. Does anyone know if this quest is broken and if so why is it not stated so. I cant remember the name of the server im on it starts with a m. Also is the skeleton directly across the pond from his hut?

I think this quest is broken, I have checked everywhere, no skeleton(unless he is invisible).
