This solo task is the third in a series of three that will grant you access to the different islands in Al'Kabor's Nightmare (as well as lead into the group progression mission for the zone).
This task begins with Sionachie Heartsinger who's located at the port-up to the Faydark. You say, 'Hail, Sionachie Heartsinger' Sionachie Heartsinger seems to look right through you as she speaks, 'Thubr is gone, and now Firiona Vie is [unwell]. I never thought I'd be here to see the world end like this. Al'Kabor, what happened?' With a few heavy blinks, Sionachie refocuses her attention. 'Pardon me, are you here to help? Or are you just [passing] through? You say, 'Unwell?' Sionachie Heartsinger says 'The situation could not be worse. I cannot understand Firiona's actions, and the efforts of what remains of Felwithe and Kelethin are not stopping the Crushbone orcs.' Sionachie peers at you with silent understanding. 'You are not what you seem. Others may be fooled by this clever ruse, but I sense you are not my enemy. If you are offering your [help], we could use it.'' You say, 'I will help' Sionachie Heartsinger says 'Thank you. I've been warned by the Felwithe guard to stay away from Firiona. They claim she has no wish to see me. Their actions are desperate and corrupt. If they are allowed to continue on without any accountability for their actions, who knows what kind of irreparable damage they may do. I need you to lessen the Felwithe guard numbers, and retrieve any military documents you may find while doing so. Do you think you can handle this?' You have been assigned the task 'Faydark's Shadow'. Sionachie Heartsinger has asked you to speak to Firiona Vie. Firiona has refused to meet with Sionachie and has asked she be denied access to Felwithe. Sionachie has asked for your help while she takes care of the Crushbone orc assaults. Investigate the ruins of Felwithe and Kelethin and look for any documents that might shed light on Firiona's plans. The documents have likely been littered around Al'Kabor's Nightmare, in the ruins of Kelethin and Felwithe, or they may still be in the hand of those that guard what's left of Felwithe. Investigate the ruins of Felwithe 0/1 (Al'Kabor's Nightmare) Investigate the ruins of Kelethin 0/1 (Al'Kabor's Nightmare) These steps update as you approach the ruins of Felwithe and, to the west, the ruins of Kelethin. Collect Felwithe Military Documents and deliver them to Sionachie 0/5 (Al'Kabor's Nightmare) Military documents drop from the high elves in the area and are also groundspawns. Speak with Sionachie 0/1 (Al'Kabor's Nightmare) You say, 'Hail, Sionachie Heartsinger' Sionachie Heartsinger looks over the documents, frowning. 'I see. Firiona is even worse off than I thought. Apparently those who hold the reigns of power in Felwithe are using her as nothing more than a figurehead. Could you do me a favor? I have a potion here that may help her regain part of her memory. When you ready, please take it and give it to her." Give the Memory Tonic to Firiona Vie 0/1 (Al'Kabor's Nightmare) Firiona Vie is found inside a building just inside the front gate of Felwithe at location -400, -5000. You may need to clear a mob or two to get to her. You say, 'Hail, Firiona Vie' Firiona Vie says 'Oh, hello there. I don't think I've seen you before. Can you tell me where I might find my friends? I have a feeling I should be doing something useful, but I've been having trouble remembering lately.' On handing her the potion: Firiona Vie looks slightly more lucid after consuming the potion. 'Sionachie, of course. Yes, I remember her. Tell her she can come speak to me. We have much to do. Something about Al'Kabor. Do I know him?' Firiona pauses. While the magical tonic helped, she is still in no condition to do much of anything. Speak with Sionachie 0/1 (Al'Kabor's Nightmare) You say, 'Hail, Sionachie Heartsinger' Sionachie Heartsinger listens as you describe what happened. 'So that is that,' she says with a sigh. 'Well, I appreciate what you've done. Her slight improvement may be all I need to start making a real difference here. Maybe Felwithe will listen to me now. I am grateful for your help. If you would like to go, I can give you access to the Dreadlands where Al'Kabor is held captive. You need but ask." Firiona appears to have lost her grip on sanity, though you've given her enough clarity to recognize her friend. She is now a figurehead for what remains of the elven fighting force, but nothing more. Sionachie will try to help her friend. You've done all you can here. You can now go to the Dreadlands where Al'Kabor resides. Your faction standing with Dream Delvers got better. Rewards: 210 platinum Faction with Dream Delvers Experience 20 Dream Motes Note: You also gain access to the final island in the zone (Dreadlands). To get there, say "Dreadlands" to Sionachie, Dagda, or Dreezil. You can travel to any island by speaking to one of these NPCs (or to Al'Kabor on the Dreadlands island). You can also say "leave" to zone back out into the Upper Floors of the House of Thule. Completion of this task allows you to request the group progression mission for Al'Kabor's Nightmare (from Elard Velsorn outside the zone-in in the House of Thule's Upper Floors). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
