This group task (3-6 players) begins with Lilth near the western zone-in of the House of Thule's Upper Floors.

You must have completed Abbit's entire task arc (five tasks) before being able to request this mission.

Note: The Well mission "What Lies Below" used to be required in order to request this task. A patch on December 8, 2010, eliminated this requirement.

You say, 'Hail, Lilth'

Lilth says 'I have been watching you for some time. You have caused a fair amount of mayhem on the lower floor of the house. You are so foolish. You don't even realize what your destruction can do. Your [kind] is on track to be responsible for the annihilation of all dreams.'

You say, 'What do you mean, my kind?'

Lilth says 'You and your adventuring ilk. You come here uninvited and cause as much damage as you can in the hopes of finding a gold trinket or two. You do not know the [importance] of this house.'

You say, 'What importance?'

Lilth says 'This house is a nexus of multiple dream and nightmare realms. Destroying it would destroy dreams entirely. I would hope you would not want to be responsible for such a horrible act. It is not too late though. There is still time for you to [redeem] yourself.'

You say, 'How can I redeem myself?'

Lilth says 'There are some small groups of adventurers somewhere in the house who threaten the delicate balance this house creates between the dream and nightmare realms. They must be stopped. Should they succeed, the lives of all mortals will no longer be worth living. What is life without dreams? [Stop] them, and the house shall reward your efforts.'

You say, 'I'll stop them...'

Lilth says 'Very good. I knew you would listen to reason. When you are ready to start, just let me [know] and I will send you on your way.'

You have been assigned the task 'Redemption'.

Lilth has informed you that your adventures in the House of Thule are threatening to destroy both the dream and nightmare realms. She asks you to redeem yourself by killing a group of adventurers that are causing havoc in the house.

Vlania and Grubog are found in the northwestern wing in the rotdog room.

Frugvi and Balni are found in the southwestern wing in the room with the ice water. Note: There is an achievement associated with this task for killing these two in the water.

Jalpo and Hiliss are found in the northeastern wing outside the Morzad Agent's room, below the staircase to Morell's Castle.

Each named hits for a max ~12,000 and has about 1.2 million hitpoints. They are not KOS and are not social with other mob types in the zone. They are immune to stun, mez, and root/snare. Their aggro isn't linked, so they can be split from one another (they do, however, have large assist ranges).

NOTE: The task locks upon the death of the sixth named you kill.

91 SK, VoA cultural gear, and non-visibles from HoT T3/4 and J5 healer merc, 90 Shm in mostly recondite and A5 rogue merc, took 35 minutes start to finish.

Run down to Miraguls zone line, kill the single wandering worg/beast that roams into the room. Pull the first two (Balni/Frugvi) along this corridor, split and kill one at a time. Run over to Al'Kabor's zone line, pull next two (Grubok/Vlania) down this corridor, split and kill, same deal as before. Run over to the east end of corridor leading up to Morells zone line, kill the nearest ghost (so you can stand far enough away from the door to not aggro through it). Pull and split the last two along this corridor same as before. Run back hail and loot.

Splitting can be achieved with an sk pet, send in the pet while invis and start running, can use fancy tricks to split in the corridors. Make sure your mercs are on passive, or it can get messy.

Each of the 6 mobs has approx 1.2 million HPs.

Balni is a paladin and will Lay on Hands
Grubog is a Shadowknight and will Harm Touch
The others don't do any significant extra damage with spells above what you'd expect from a caster mob.

Without FD ?????

Bad combination:

86 Bst (without Possum-AA/FD)
90 Dru + 90 Tank Merc
91 War + 91 Tank Merc
90 Enc (tried DPS-Merc without Bst, no chance)

mh... have Druid, Enc, War with Tank/DPS/Healer mercs. always wiped. No mezz, no pacify works. Pet pull with bst brought always all two the tank named never stayed long enough, he always went back with his caster buddy. Any exact ideas how to do that without FD-Char?. Splitting does not work, except with BST-Possum-AA (FD for BST). Snare/Root does not work. Dotting one does not work. Other char outside group who pulls and dots does not work. As a lvl90 group (group-geared) it is a bit ridiculous to make that without a FD or a big lvl95 Ubah.

Good combination worked:

95 Bst (with Possum-AA/FD) + Heal Merc
91 War + Heal Merc
90 Dru, 90 Enc

With that it was a cake. Bst pulled with FD. In two cases split went wrong. Bst-Pet offtanked on named, War tanked second, rest burned down, no problem with heals.

Ergo: If somebody has a puller with FD, he is lucky and PERHAPS he can split them. Otherwise this gets really tricky if you dont have decent two tanks and their two healers. One Merc Healer on two tanks at lvl91 can go bad very fast. Two Tanks and two Healers will also be ok as far as one named can be offtanked.

Splitting the nameds

I also confirm that the nameds can be split.
The only thing is that for Vlania and Grubog I cleared the path towards the other room (with the mournful souls), and not the hallway towards Alkabor.
Clear all mobs for an easy pull, and FD split em.

Completed this quest a couple days ago with a group consisting of SK (me), rog, wiz, rng, clr and war, all level 87-90. I was tanking.

First 2 we did were in the 'rotdog room' in the north west. Set up by the zoneline to Al'Kabor's Nightmare and clear a couple mobs in the corridor. The nameds were not KoS, and can be split, one is a caster other is a tank type so easier to pull the tank type first as the caster stops to cast - I split/FD pulled em (though died on the first one figuring it out)

Next 2 we killed were near the zone line to Morells Castle. Set up inthe corridor to the west of the zone, kill 3 mobs in the corridor and 2 others just inside the room with the nameds. Then same deal with splitting, again one caster and one tank type.

Last 2 were in the Ice/pool room. We set up in the small corridor to the north and killed the wandering wolf first, then one other mob in the room that was a bit close. Same deal on this pull as the last two sets, caster and melee, split/FD and done.

Run back hail and loot - be mindful of the wanderer near Lilith.

Overall not too hard to figure out (this was my first time) pulling was a bit awkward with the large aggro range, but using corners helped with that.

My parses of the mob hits and such seems to have gone walkies, but I'll add it in if I find it.

umbras a slacker! :P (this is zenani) and also a little more info on this, nothing on here assists the named other then
the other named, so if this helps any what i do for this mission is kill all the wanderers for a camp which is about 6 trash mobs then i cast a dot on the melee mob of the 2 named group and cast deaths effigy, run away and the 2 named will agro, when dot wears off with any luck the mobs will be far enough away and can cast another dot on whatever named is single deaths effigy again and run back to camp and the dotted name will come alone, doin this i can normally do this mission in about an 30-45 mins depending on luck, did with 90 sk 90 bst 90 rng and 89 bard with a t5 rog merc and t5 clr merc on reactive

During this mission tonight we cleared hallways leading to the rooms with the Nameds in them, and all the mobs out of the Named rooms as well. Yet during the fight with the nameds, on two occasions adds showed up from nowhere.

When we were doing Hilis, the mage and shaman stayed by the door leading to the long hallway. We were fighting Hiliss and suddenly an add killed the mage and shaman from behind.

No idea where these adds are coming from or if they just spawn.

If the named aren't aggro linked then their assist range is enormous. We couldn't split them on opposite sides of their rooms.

For those who don't know by now, the easy spoilers are: use the long halls supplied to set up your camp (if you open your map these should be extremely easy to identify), and pet pull.
Set your group up on the opposite ends of these long hallways from where the pair of named are located. Clear the few spawns in the hallway. The more mobs you kill back toward the targets the easier the pulls, but the more total time it will take. So pet pull here with a necro for example, tag if necessary, or after you've cleared to the named (or as close as need be) with the example being a monk, simply use FD and ID and you will have little problem with the split. (Add various other everyday techniques depending on what classes you have to work with.)

{Lesson learned - what appeared to be extremely difficult to accomplish in tight quarters, has now become easy once you provided yourself with plenty of room to work}

Notes: 1) When first trying it you may want to have your group stay invis. and turn mercs (if any) off so they don't invite trouble. Everyone will have a fine view of the end of the pull and the two mobs large assist range pathing from this vantage point to see exactly what to expect even on an aborted pull.
2) When you enter the zone and are near Lilith, or at the end when you are looting the chest there is a beast worg that can agro you thru the door. This is a good warning sign that if you get too near a door this might just happen again in other parts of the zone.
3) In a couple of the short and long hallways it seems that roamers can get stuck out of sight for a bit and then warp to their rightful position - seemingly out of the ceiling or "nowhere".

Obviously there will be a day soon where you can just "bums rush" these guys, but in the mean time if you can't handle 2 at a time the above will serve you well.

They can be split, I cleared a distance of two rooms away, clesred those rooms then split with a necro and got them one at a time.

Minor point, at the end near Lilith there is a roamer, beware :-(

Not true. After completing Abbit's five tasks, upon hailing Lilth, she replies:

"I really need you to speak to Scholar Kintorom in the Library, Gardener Aeriht and Groundskeeper Seamus in the garden, or perhaps General Arbin Derrex, who lives in my nightmares."
