If you have this bonus task when you do the "Cruel Overseers" task, you get a bonus when you complete that task. There is, therefore, nothing to report about task stages, etc, because they are already described in Cruel Overseers.

No, the quest is actually as stated: "Bonus: Cruel Overseers". You probably got confused because Miltius offered you a different bonus task. Any one of the heralds can offer you any one of the bonus tasks. My current guess is that they offer you the bonus task for the lowest level group task that you have yet to complete.
