This group mission begins with Gotonur, a telmiran in Brell's Temple (location: 655, -10, 21 -- in the large room north of the zone-in; same room as Brell Serilis).
Be on the lookout for wandering see-invis KOS mobs while speaking with Gotonur. In order to request this task, you must first have completed Gotonur's three solo tasks. You say, 'Hail, Gotonur' Gotonur says 'Once again you have shown your desire to help find out what has been happening. But before everything can be revealed to you there is one more thing you must [do].' You say, 'What must I do?' Gotonur says 'At the center of this temple lie the Fonts of Creation. It is here where the process of life starts. Within the locked chamber lies the font guardian. In order to open the door one must make a keystone. The font guardian is the only one who knows why our creator has stopped talking to us but we cannot create a keystone as we have a problem retrieving the mold needed to create it. Can you [help] us?' You say, 'I can help.' Gotonur says 'When we built this temple we built another just like it deeper beneath the earth. It is here where we keep the keystone mold and some of the older more powerful creations to protect it. Unfortunately being kept locked away has weakened their connection to our creator and they have become [aggressive] to everything.' You say, 'Aggressive?' Gotonur says 'They will attack anything on sight which includes those of us who reside here. The only way inside the chamber is to retrieve the keystone mold and the only way to retrieve the keystone mold is through the halls that protect it. You have proven that you grasp the basic understanding of creation and it is this knowledge that is needed in order to make the keystone once you have retrieved the keystone mold. Do you think you can do it?' You say, 'Yes.' Gotonur says 'Thank you, ______. When you are ready, please say you are [ready] and I will open the gateway. I await your return with the keystone so we can finally get to the bottom of this dilemma.' You have been assigned the task 'Fire In The Hole'. You have agreed to assist Gotonur in making a keystone. In order to do this, you must brave the halls of the Vault of Stone, retrieve the keystone from the vault guardian, and bring it back to Gotonur so that he can make a keystone. To zone into the instance: You say, 'Ready!' Gotonur says 'Be careful, _____. We are counting on your success.' LOADING, PLEASE WAIT... You have entered The Vault of Stone. Retrieve a jagged shard from ancient colossi 0/1 (Brell's Temple) Retrieve a pulsing sphere from timeworn channelers 0/1 (Brell's Temple) Retrieve a chipped claw from cunning fiends 0/1 (Brell's Temple) The above three items drop from said mobs. Trash in this zone hits for a max ~8,500. Everything sees invis and is tightly packed together. Only mischievous constructs and cunning fiends are mezzable. Everything else is immune to mez. Unlock the door to the inner vault chamber 0/1 (Brell's Temple) Whoever has the three items in their possession needs to click on the locked door to the north of the zone-in: The three pieces click into place and the sounds of several clicks emanate from the walls around it. There is a loud click and the door slides up revealing the next chamber. Retrieve a Vial of Purified Water from the Protector of Purity 0/1 (Brell's Temple) Retrieve an Unstable Glob of Clay from the Protector of Clay 0/1 (Brell's Temple) The above two mobs can be found in the rooms leading away from either side of the room you just opened. They hit for a max ~12,000. Mix the purified water with the unstable glob of clay to create an unstable mass 0/1 (Brell's Temple) Right-click the glob of clay to produce an unstable mass of clay. The water and clay mix together seamlessly to create an unstable mass that looks like it could stick to the door very easily. Use the unstable mass of clay on the door to gain access to the worshipping area 0/1 (Brell's Temple) Whoever has the unstable mass in their possession needs to open either door leading deeper into the zone. Retrieve a crumbling head from a crumbling construct 0/1 (Brell's Temple) Retrieve a broken torso from a broken construct 0/1 (Brell's Temple) Retrieve a cracking legs from a cracking construct 0/1 (Brell's Temple) Retrieve a worn arms from a worn construct 0/1 (Brell's Temple) Retrieve a pair of eroding feet from an eroding construct 0/1 (Brell's Temple) The above five golem constructs can be found throughout the newly opened areas of the zone. They each hit for a max ~14,000. Assemble the golem by attaching everything to the torso 0/1 (Brell's Temple) Right-click on the torso to create a destructive golem. Activate the destructive golem in the garden hall or pool hall leading to the keymaster chambers 0/1 (Brell's Temple) Whoever has the destructive golem in their possession needs to head down to one of these halls and right-click the item. This spawns a non-KOS Destructive Golem which will then open the doors to the end room. The destructive golem stands before the door and destroys the barrier before crumbling to dust. The path to the keymaster is now open. Retrieve the vault key from the Key Master 0/1 (Brell's Temple) The Keymaster hits for a max ~14,000. Whoever loots the key from its corpse can open the door to the Vault Guardian (due north from the zone-in). Defeat the Vault Guardian 0/1 (Brell's Temple) The Vault Guardian is perma-rooted, so you'll have to fight it in the room. It hits for a max ~14,000. Note: The task locks upon the Vault Guardian's death. Retrieve the Keystone Mold from the Vault Guardian 0/1 (Brell's Temple) Return to keystone mold to Gotonur 0/1 (Brell's Temple) Gotonur is stunned when you hand the keystone over. Recovering from the shock he pulls out a vial of brown liquid and begins to pour it into the mold. The mold begins to bubble and smoke and melts away revealing an odd looking rune. Gotonur hands the item to you and bows his head in acknowledgement. Gotonur says 'Take this and open the font chamber.' Everyone in the task receives a Keystone. "a stone chest" spawns with loot (1 item per task).
