This solo task begins with a sporali named Trullica in the Foundation. It's located at approximately 225, 1225, -202. It is the first of three solo tasks from Trullica.

You say, 'Hail, Trullica'

Trullica says 'Hello there. I am Trullica. I am pleased to see others from the [upworld] here. I hope you remain safe during your travels. Please, keep clear of the [clay pits]. They are no longer safe. It is most unfortunate because there are some that are in dire [need] of the clay. And don't get me started about the [Genari].'

You say, 'The upworld?'

Trullica says 'I too am from the upworld, though perhaps not as far up as you. I come from [Darkhollow] originally, though I find the Underfoot to be a much more interesting place.'

You say, 'Darkhollow?'

Trullica says 'Ah, yes, that entrance has been sealed since I came through. It's been a while since then, and the Cliknar have been actively blocking movement throughout the Underfoot -- their way of feeling like they are in control, I suspect. I discovered a crack in the Creep, a deep new fissure in one of the walls. So I explored. After a fair amount of harrowing adventure, I found myself in another plane! This place, the [Underfoot], is perfect: orderly, living, built of soil, stone and will. It just feels right to me. I've made this my new home, and nobody seems to mind. I've even managed to make myself [useful] here.'

You say, 'You think you're useful, do you?'

Trullica says 'Oh, yes. It's a rather long story that leads to the need for my unique skills. You see, when I first arrived the Cliknar were farmers. They tended vast fields, growing any foods needed in the Underfoot. Plants, you know. Few of Brell's creations need food, but those that do only eat plants. The Cliknar were the providers for those that needed it. That was their purpose, their place in the Underfoot. But then something [happened].'

You say, 'What happened?'

Trullica says 'I never have fully understood what caused it, but they slowly changed. They stopped tending their farms and started acting oddly. It seemed almost as if they were experimenting with other options. Like a sporeling that has not been shown the way of things. They would wander aimlessly. They would pick apart things to look inside. They would dig tunnels just to see where they would end up. They stopped doing what they were meant to do, and since then the whole of Underfoot has been [off center].'

You say, 'Off center?'

Trullica says 'Very much so. You see, the Underfoot is Brell's great machine. The creatures here don't 'live' as you or I do. They don't get up in the evening and decide what they will do that night. They always know what they should be doing. Their lives are fulfilled by doing what they were created to do. The Genari carry heavy stone for decades until they grow large enough and solid enough to take their place in the Foundation holding up mountains. The Greken push the lava, circulating it from the Underfoot to countless other realms that need its lifeblood. The Cliknar grow things and deliver them to those that are hungry. At least they once did that. Since they removed themselves from the workings of the Underfoot, all sorts of [unusual things] have been going on.'

You say, 'What sorts of unusual things?'

Trullica says 'Other creatures have broken away. While some of the Burynai refuse to work, others have started destroying things. Individual golems have been found standing in corners or repeatedly walking into walls. Even some Genari have been seen just sitting, staring at walls or aimlessly wandering the Underfoot. But the Cliknar are the worst. I am not certain, but perhaps it has something to do with their queen. All of them have gone mad. And without them there is [no food] in the Underfoot.'

You say, 'No food?!'

Trullica says 'Ah, you see, that's where I come in! When I saw what was happening, I realized that there weren't any creatures in the Underfoot other than the Cliknar that had a clue about farming. Sure, some of the Gnomes had gardens when they were on Norrath, but that's just not the same thing. Me, I'm a farmer. I took it upon myself to organize a new farm here in the Foundation. I don't have the magical powers that the Cliknar [had], but I'm good at [growing things].'

You say, 'What about that power the cliknar had?'

Trullica says 'They lost their connection to the Underfoot when they rebelled, and so their power to grow was also lost. They do seem to have learned other skills since then. Unfortunately, most of them involve violence.'

You say, 'You're good at growing things?'

Trullica says 'All I really had to do was choose some plants that grow well underground and gather up some of the gnomes and dwarves here, along with the few of my people that remain free, and start a farm. We can't keep up with the needs of everyone without using some of that amazing [Clay of Cosgrove] in our soil, but we manage.'

You say, 'Clay of Cosgrove?'

Trullica says 'Wonderful stuff! Very small amounts blended with the soil will help plants grow at an astonishing rate. I hear that it is what Brell uses to build all of his creations, even the first Dwarves and Gnomes! Simply amazing.'

You say, 'Tell me about the clay pits'

Trullica says 'The pits are where the [Clay of Cosgrove] is harvested. It used to just sort of ooze up from the pits in plentiful amounts, but since things got [off center] here the pits have sort of dried up. Some clay still comes out, but not nearly enough. And now those annoying Cliknar have started stealing it! I wonder, would you consider helping me [find out] why?'

You say, 'I'll find out'

Trullica says 'Well, I'm pretty sure that I know why: They want to use it to create things. But the problem is, for them at least, the clay won't respond to them anymore. For them it's just clay. They really have no need for it, and we need it desperately. So I'd like your help trying to get some of it back and perhaps finding out exactly what they want it for. I can't ask the creatures of the Underfoot to help; they just don't understand what I want. Oh, the Dwarves and Gnomes do, but they worry that they would be breaking the rules to harm any of Brell's creations. I assure you that the Cliknar are separated from Brell and are harming the Underfoot. Will you [help stop them]?'

You say, 'I'll help stop them'

Trullica says 'Thank you!'

You have been assigned the task 'Cliknar Clay'.

Deliver 4 Stolen Blob of Clay to Trullica 0/4 (The Foundation)

This is a drop from cliknar scouts, soldiers, and hunters in the western part of the Foundation.

Speak with Entricalla 0/1 (Arthicrex)

Entricalla is a sporali locked in a cage at a sporali farm in Arthicrex. Approximate location of the farm: 720, 1280, 5. There are numerous see-invis mobs in this area, so be on the lookout.

You say, 'Hail, Entricalla'

Entricalla says 'Hello. I am sorry, but I haven't the strength to greet you properly. I will have to be quick. I am a trusted prisoner here, but I cannot risk being seen with you. Trullica is of the same spore as I, and I sense his spores upon you. So I will trust you. The insects are indeed trying to modify the clay. They feed it to us and to the aphids, hoping that our bodies will give the clay a greater organic quality. All it does with us is make us ill, but within the aphids is does seem to change. They haven't worked it out yet, but if you seek samples you will need to kill some of the poor mindless aphids and steal some of their dung from the Cliknar farmers. Good luck.'

Deliver 3 Aphid Corpses to Trullica 0/3 (The Foundation)

Deliver 6 Sacks of Aphid Dung to Trullica 0/6 (The Foundation)

The above items drop from aphid mobs in the northeastern part of Arthicrex (farmers drop the sacks; nymphs, drones, and mature aphids drop the corpses). They are pre-lootable. On handing in these items:

Clays and Dung

I did not have too much trouble collecting 4 clays for 3 toons. I did get bored, and pretty much slaughtered the two rooms as I waited for the mobs I needed to pop. I would say it took me between 2 and 3 hours to get 12 clays.

The Aphid Farm is a different matter. There are only 5 cliknar farmers that drop the dung, and you need 6 dung per toon (and I had 3, so that is 18 dungs).

- 2 Cliknar Farmers pop by the campfire
- 1 Clicknar Farmer pops on the ledge just beyond the campfire (it comes with friends)
- 2 Cliknar Farmers pop in the Aphid Farm pit itself. One does wander up path, but you have to be watching carefully to get it near the top. The other seems to stay static at the bottom of the pit. If you want a real challenge, pull that thing on up to the top (along with the 15 or so mobs that will come with it).
- Spawn time is about 20 minutes. And there are some Farm Guards, plus a named, that pop in the area also.
- Dung seems to drop every two or three kills, which makes for a long camp. I did get double dung on one mob twice, which sped things up a bit.
- There is a roaming pack of Cliknars that patrol the area, if you are fighting and it gets close enough, they will join in to help try to kill you.

It took between 3 and 4 hours to get all the dung I needed.

All together, this quest took between 5 to 7 hours to complete ... which is really a waste of a day in EQ.

Just a word to the wise before you go heading WEST into The Foundation, to kill for drops on the first part of this task. Warning: See Inviso mobs in tunnle, and path leading to the scouts, soldiers, and hunters. If you walk carefully, checking each mob, you can zig zag thru to reach your goal.
Noone mentioned the amount of see inviso mobs, so wanted to post to save everyone alot of grief. GL.

Real nice drop rate from the "shade" mobs in Foundation instance, about every other kill.

This task by far is the worst up to this point that I have done. 4-5 hours camping in Foundation then another 6+ in Arthicrex. This tash should have been a grp task having to farm this for each party member was time consuming. Makeshure your grp is aware they will be on this task all day.
