This raid task begins with Old Man McKenzie in the Plane of Knowledge. He is located in one of the taverns due south of the main bank. Your raid's average level must be at least 80 in order to request this task. You must also have completed certain raids such as Solteris in order to request this task.
The "Ancient Heroes - Lord Nagafen" raid task is a pre-requisite for requesting this one. (Dialogues?) You have been assigned the task 'Ancient Heroes - Lady Vox'. Listen to Old Man McKenzie 0/1 Plane of Knowledge) From here, you zone into an instanced version of Permafrost where you'll encounter Lady Vox. Kill 1 Priest of Nagafen 0/1 (Permafrost) Kill 1 Lady Vox 0/1 (Permafrost) Find Lady Vox's Hoard 0/1 (Permafrost) After defeating Lady Vox, a chest spawns with two loot items. Everyone in the task also receives a number of "McKenzie's Special Brew" which is used to buy items from Old Man McKenzie. So I'm not sure when certain changes were made, but as of about a month ago they now allow 6 of each class, and you only need 6 to request now. We had 6 in zone when opening the chest, I'm not sure what the requirement on this is.
Lady Vox was easy to get alone due to the fact she leashes every time.
Lady Vox was an unholy pain in the butt to beat as she kept leashing midfight from fearing all our toons/pets and resetting to 100 % health. We ended up fighting her more in the little hallway behind her spawn point, was a long and messy fight, a lot of deaths, but very doable with me (4 MAG) and 1 other guy (MAG/NEC) boxing 6 toons. Still not a fight I'd care to do a lot in the future, she just can't stay in her room.... We fought using nothing but pets, no nukes. Started off with DS and burnout, but it was just make the pets, sendem, corpse it to get mana and run back last 20 % or so :)

Let it be the invis kill rezz respawn repeat. I hate dieing. Yet that will get you the missions in under a hour.
I three box myself but involve my guild in my group alot. Well doing this I do pet summoning to kill.
Three magicians and three root pets, ds weapons, I can heal my pet but not myself.. do you know three earth pets fighting 5 frogs I train to a spot the fight ends with no blasts and a few heals all my pets alive.
Pet fighting is safe easy and u can summon two sets of gear for the pets off the start of the instance. Truely takes 35 mins when i get agro down and find max blast without getting hit. I play a mag I'm sure three necros would be better i just love my msgicians lol.
Self taps for healing yourself as a necro is always nice.
if pet gets low just summon another.
right before your new pet comes to life dismiss your low health pet that is in combat.. remember if you follow the pet killing rule you should have no agro so the new pet should grab it right away.
For this method there are two other tank pets fighting so frogs should just bounce to next earth pet.
Three pets sent at king can fight the room and with a few heals waiting till 80% on mobs healths from ds I can blast trash outta the way and watch pets eat named ..
No dieing no panic just old school tank n spank pets haha

12 ppl min to request the raid. If you have zero "flags" you cannot zone-in but you can still choose your template/be in raid you just don't get to participate.

Do you need to have the Solteris flag to just be able to request the raid, or also to just join the raid (if someone with a flag has requested it)?

You can be added to task with no flags at all but you will not be able to zone in. I never did solt but i am now flagged and can request both naggy and vox raids. Only events i have done since coming back to EQ that qualify are Pallorax normal and hard, venom lord normal and hard, mindsear(sp?) avatar event normal, Queen Malarian hard and Stop the ascension hard. When my guild used to do them and i wasn't flagged i would sit in Guild lobby in task and soak up the free brews from the reward. The night i was online for MS kill (which was the 7th qualifying raid event) i checked before and after the event for flagging. Not flagged before... flagged after so if you are in a guild that can do korafax on normal and hard and some easier hard version SoD raids you can get flagged for these without ever having set foot in solt or tower
