This is a non-progression task. It is a group mission (3-6 players) that begins with Talontar (click for map image) in the Dark Reign camp of the Lavastorm Mountains.

Pre-requisites for requesting:
- Minimum Level 55
- Minimum "amiable" faction with Dark Reign

Hail him to get a quest window pop-up.

You have been assigned the task 'Lavaspinner Hunting'.

Our researchers are reporting back to us that the Lavaspinner eggs possess magical powers that we can use to our advantage. Tani N`Mar has sent his scouts to recover a few samples of Lavaspinner eggs for our researchers. To complete this mission you will need to strike the lair fast and deadly. If the lavaspinner queen is alerted your party will surely die.

Note: This group mission scales to your group's level. The highest is 68+, outlined here.

Touch the cave entrance to Lavaspinner's Lair 0/1 (The Broodlands)

This is marked on your compass (far southern instanced entrance).

Kill 25 Lavaspinners 0/25 (Lavaspinner's Lair)

Recover samples of cracked lavaspinner eggs in Lavaspinners's Lair 0/3 (Lavaspinner's Lair)

Recover a sample of pristine lavaspinner egg in Lavaspinner's Lair 0/1 (Lavaspinner's Lair)

As you kill spiders in the zone, you'll see an emote, signaling the spawn of "unhatched lavaspinner eggs":

The ground shakes slightly, and a loud crack and thud can be heard echoing through the tunnels.

These eggs appear in the dead-end tunnels and in the central cavern (the second-largest cavern other than Volkara's cavern). The task completes upon looting the fourth item.
