Anniversary events tend to run from mid-March to mid-April (sometimes to mid-May) each year. They are not available during the "off season".

For an overview and list of EverQuest Anniversary events, see this quest entry.

This is an anniversary quest available only during anniversary season (a few weeks during March and April). It was introduced in 2009 as part of EverQuest's 10th anniversary.

This is one of 16 deity quests. For an overview of how rewards work and how these quests are linked with one another, see this writeup.

Below here are the details for this particular quest.

This task begins with Avatar of Quellious the Tranquil in the Plane of Tranquility near the Plane of Earth zone-in.

Avatar of Quellious the Tranquil says '[Beautiful], isn't it?'

You say, 'It's beautiful'

Avatar of Quellious the Tranquil says 'This little pool. I'd forgotten how peaceful it is to watch this pool and listen to the weavers weave. If only I could [continue].'

You say, 'Continue'

Avatar of Quellious the Tranquil says 'You mean you don't feel it? No... no, you wouldn't. There are disturbances in the world below, and they need my [influence].'

You say, 'Influence?'

Avatar of Quellious the Tranquil says 'Why, to stop them, of course. Tranquility is so very fleeting. Without constant vigilance peace would never be maintained. Without a [champion] I must go there myself.'

You say, 'Champion?'

You have been assigned the task 'Peace and Understanding - Quellious' Favor'.

Avatar of Quellious the Tranquil says 'I thank you for your offer.'

As the champion of Quellious, the Tranquil, you are charged with spreading peace throughout the lands of Norrath.

Find a way to distract Nettle from his mission 0/1 (Misty Thicket)

Nettle Higglesbury is on the east side of the center wall (south: -703, +355). Have room for a stack of Strawberry-Jumjum Pie.

You say, 'Hail, Nettle Higglesbury'

Nettle Higglesbury says "Hello to you! Would you like to join our [fight] against the goblins?"

You say, 'What fight?'

Nettle Higglesbury says 'They slink in at night and ruin our crops! They attack our supplies of timber and honey! They..they smell bad! And I am going to put a stop to it!'

After you have him targeted and click Quellious' wand:

Nettle Higglesbury says 'Is...is that pie I smell?'

You get a stack of 20 pies after a brief flourish.

Nettle Higglesbury says "I'm getting a little hungry here, how about all of you?"
An angry farmer says "I know I am!"
An angry farmer says "Yeah!"
An angry farmer says "I know I am!"
An angry farmer says "Who isn't?"
Nettle Higglesbury says "Okay, okay, first pie, then freedom!"

Calm the rowdy halflings with the power of Pie 0/10 (Misty Thicket)

Numerous angry farmers are found nearby.

Hand out the pies (Nettle himself won't take one, he'll just give it back.) You need to do 10 pies out of the stack of 20 you got. One small wrinkle: there are only 8 angry farmers, so you have to wait (or at least I did) for a respawn, which only took about 5 minutes.

(note: You can actually hand each farmer four pies, and get four updates!)

Your task 'Peace and Understanding - Quellious' Favor' has been updated.
an angry farmer says 'Mmmm, pie...'
Your task 'Peace and Understanding - Quellious' Favor' has been updated.
an angry farmer says 'Pie!'
Your task 'Peace and Understanding - Quellious' Favor' has been updated.
an angry farmer says 'Pie? For me?'
Your task 'Peace and Understanding - Quellious' Favor' has been updated.
an angry farmer says 'Oh boy, pie!'
Your task 'Peace and Understanding - Quellious' Favor' has been updated.
an angry farmer says 'I love pie!'

Bring peace to an angry citizen 0/1 (Crescent Reach)

Atler Flamejabber is in the council chambers on the 2nd floor.

You say, 'Hail, Atler Flamejabber'

Atler Flamejabber says 'These councilmembers are too lazy to address my issues! Let's see them ignore me now!'

Atler Flamejabber says 'Whose idea was it to put elevators in here when ramps or stairs work just fine?'

Atler Flamejabber says 'No one in this city wants to do anything with me. Fix it!'

Atler Flamejabber says 'The bakers burned some bread and the whole place smells awful now. They should be fired!'

Atler Flamejabber says 'The council's still conducting their business after all my shouting. Was I not communicating my points clearly?'

When you click him with the wand:

Atler Flamejabber says 'Well, I suppose my demands are awfully self-centered. Maybe if they get done with the items that affect everyone they can get to me.....'

Atler Flamejabber says 'I'll write a letter I suppose.'

And off he goes.

Calm two agitators and send them home 0/2 (Shadow Haven)

You'll find two drunken miscreants on the north side, just before the Monk GM area, by a building.

A drunken Midst miscreant says "I just found something that reminded me of your faces....it was really really ugly!"
A drunken Midst miscreant says "That must have been a mirror!"
A drunken Fordel miscreant says "Fordel rules, Midst drools!"
A drunken Midst miscreant says "You have confused us with your mothers!"
A drunken Fordel miscreant says "Why fight when we already own you!"
A drunken Midst miscreant says "The only thing Fordel owns is bills!"
A drunken Midst miscreant says "Any friend of Fordel's is....dumb!"
A drunken Fordel miscreant says "It's OK, Midst, sometime you'll get friends. Maybe"

They do not respond when hailed, so just click 'em. I had to click them both twice, to get the following before they despawned:

A drunken Fordel miscreant says "M'tired."
A drunken Midst miscreant says "Me too. Hungry"
A drunken Fordel miscreant says "Food would be good. I'll go get some."
A drunken Midst miscreant says "Yeah, eggs. Maybe some potatoes."

Speak with the Avatar of Quellious 0/1 (Plane of Tranquility)

You say, 'Hail, Avatar of Quellious the Tranquil'

Your task 'Peace and Understanding - Quellious' Favor' has been updated.

You have helped spread peace and understanding through the lands of Norrath, for now. There will always be violence, but you have stopped much of it this day.

One can get this task at level 44, confirmed. It may be that there are no level restrictions on this one.

Had to list this: If you read the contents of this task, let me add a note: When this Npc is talking to council it will { estimate} take approximately 54 minutes for him to say the key statement, for you to click the wand.

I Hailed him and he started talking after a bit. Then I Hailed him a gain and got a different response. After third Hail he gave the response that I could use the wand with, took about 2 minutes. Perhaps it is random responses triggered by the Hails, but no need to wait 54 minutes

Just did this portion of the task and this year (2012) there are ten farmers there now.

You can now hand each farmer 10 pies in a stack to complete the task. I did this while 6 boxing so i am very glad that i didn't have to wait for respawns over and over again. EDIT: The next npc i had to wait patiently for him to respawn for each character i did the task. Clicking away on multiple characters wouldn't work. The update with the 2 drunkards in shadowhaven is the easiest. You only have to click with one character and the rest of your party that is at that point in the task will all get updates. I tried with one character at the drunkards and another character that had just zoned in from the nexus. The one that had zoned in from the nexus still got the update even though i didn't do anything with him.

a drunken Midst miscreant says 'I heard it only took you three tries to get your boots on this morning. Good job!'
a drunken Fordel miscreant says 'We wore them out from kicking Midst hindquarters!'

a drunken Midst miscreant says 'You just keep inventing new kinds of stupid!'
a drunken Fordel miscrant says 'Midst couldn't invent getting wet if it fell out of a boat!'

a drunken Midst miscreant says 'I saw something stupid today, and I saw a Fordel... but I'm repeating myself.'
a drunken Fordel miscreant says 'I heard something worthless today, and I heard a Midst...'

a drunken Midst miscreant says 'Fordel, stop taking all the village idiots!'
a drunken Fordel miscreant says 'Quit sending your people over here then!'

a drunken Fordel miscreant says 'Does it hurt to be that dumb?'
a drunken Midst miscreant says 'Not as much as it hurts to look at you!'

a drunken Fordel miscreant says 'I thought you had to have a permit to be that ugly!'
a drunken Midst miscreant says 'We had to steal yours!'

All in all, this was probably the most ridiculously easy quest of all of them. You don't even have to hail the NPCs. Just target them, click the wand, wait for the update, and move on to the next step.

I'm not sure where the poster saw 8 angry farmers, I've only ever seen 3. But it is correct that you can give out up to 4 pies to each farmer (unstacked) and get 4 updates as a result, so even 3 is plenty to finish the quest. Just give four pies to two of them, and at least 2 to the third ( or 4, 3, and 3 hehe ).

Also, as for the drunked miscreants in Shadow Haven: if you head towards the northeast area of the map, which is separated by a narrow curving bridge, they are located just south of the bridge, among the buildings.

The respawn time on all these NPCs, including the angry farmers, is only a couple of minutes, should you mess anything up or if you are doing the quest for more than one person.

You get an update for each piece of pie you hand out, and you can give up to 4 pieces to each angry farmer, so no need to wait for repawns.

Broken quest on Test-Fixed
# Mar 24 2009 at 9:38 AM Rating: Decent
The Rowdy Halfling portion of this quest which takes place in Misty Thicket is currently broken on Test server. I will update this post as soon as I find the quest to be fixed.

Zone was recently despawned and re popped, complete with angry farmers.

Peace and Understanding - Quellious' Favor

From Avatar of Quellious in PoT. She is sitting by the pool in the building by the Plane of Earth.

Have room for a clicky item, Quellious' Wand of Tranquility.

1) Use Quellious' Wand of Tranquility on Nettle Higglesberry (Misty) (east side of the center wall, on south side) (have room for a stack of Strawberry-Jumjum Pie)
2) Give a Strawberry-Jumjum Pie to ten An Angry Farmer (standing about in the same place)
3) Use Quellious' Wand of Tranquility on Atler Flamejabber (Crescent Reach) (in the council chambers on the 2nd floor)
4) Use Quellious' Wand of Tranquility on A Drunken Midst Miscreant and A Drunken Fordel Miscreant (Shadow Haven) (north side, just before the Monk GM area, by a building)
5) Hail Avatar of Quellious

Quest info

First step is to find a halfling by the wall. NPC named Nettel Higglesbury, going to the wall from the book, he is on the left side quite a ways down. Click him with the rod, then you get a stack of pie and angry farms spawn in front of him, one about every minute. Give 10 of them a piece of the pie and they run off and despawn. When i did it, it was one halfling every 2 or 3 minutes. Once you feed 10 halflings you are off to crescent reach. You use the rod on Alter Flamejabber in the counsel chamber. He's standing in the center of it. This updates the task again and sends you to shadow haven, there look for the banker npc with the name Fordel, go to the build then look around the build they are in, the two npcs your looking for are a drunken fordel miscreant, and a drunken midst miscreant. Click both of them with the rod, and then you go back to the quest giver for your reward. Its the same as the others, except the token is different
