Me and an 85 Sk did this with 2 mercs in about 25 minutes. Run down to named, feign. Get back up, wax the floor. Mobs are weak sauce. We were doing 6 at a time, including the mini-named.
Reward was 29 crystals.
Loot sucked. Sucked, bad. Spiders are poor.

It is a group mission (3-6 players) that begins with Talontar (click for map image) in the Dark Reign camp of the Lavastorm Mountains. Pre-requisites for requesting: - Minimum level 55 - Minimum "amiable" faction with Dark Reign Hail him to get a quest window pop-up. You have been assigned the task 'Infested'. There have been some lavarachnids troubling our agents in the Lavaspinner's Lair. Have caution when moving through the lair. We have found at least two different types of the Lavaspinners. Eliminate all of the ones you can find so we can move through unhindered. Note: This group mission scales to your group's level. The highest is 68+, outlined here. 
Touch the cave entrance to Lavaspinner's Lair. 0/1 (The Broodlands) This is marked on your compass (far southern instanced entrance). Kill 4 lavaspinner protectors 0/4 (Lavaspinner's Lair) Kill 1 hulking lavaspinner 0/1 (Lavaspinner's Lair) The protectors are found in the dead-end caves while the hulking lavaspinner is located in the central cavern. "Lavaspinner Protector" hits for a max ~1,100; has ~56,000 hitpoints; AE rampages; summons; and is immune to mez/stun. "Hulking Lavaspinner" hits for a max ~1,100; has ~75,000 hitpoints; flurries; summons; and is immune to mez/stun. The task completes upon the fifth kill. Lavaspinner Protector has been slain by _____! Lavaspinner Protector's corpse oozes a thick smoke from its many wounds. Hulking Lavaspinner has been slain by _____! Hulking Lavaspinner's corpse falls and begins to smolder. With the pests dead we can resume our activities in Lavaspinner's lair. We shall call upon you again should any further infestations be found. 5 minute fight. He resisted 3 Shiftless Deeds, 3 Cripples and a couple Chokes. The 4th slow and crip landed.

Note: the instance respawns. The roamer respawn is almost annoying. Almost every fight that contained two mobs lasted long enough for a couple roamers to add in. The fights were mainly all roamers.
The Hulking spawned in the big room before the raid room. The Protectors spawned in the side rooms along the eastern and western arms that lead to the large and raid rooms.
The Hulking respawned while we were killing the last two Protectors.
The exit is in the raid room (south east cavern) behind the raid platform.
For the effort involved, not worth the time. This was almost a 2 hour task for the same amount of crystals you can get from one of the 1-hour Drake tasks. While it was easy enough, the constant roaming adds made this more tedious than other tasks.

Rogue Sneak and hide worked except on Lavaspinner Protector and "a preying lavaspinner."
The Lavaspinner Protector summoned, hit for 60s to high 200s on 1500 AC at level 56. He enraged at 9%. No mana to steal. The protector spawned in a room with 4 other trash mobs.
